Im only at High Focus because I have to do a mandatory 12 hours of counseling to get my license back. The people are all nice here but are actually clueless its pretty concerning that some of the employees there managed to get a job... They also say insurance covers everything without even knowing your insurance and they over charge for a lot. Not sure if anyone else ever had this problem but my counselor also seems to call me a lot more than he should. Got a call at work and I answered and told my counselor I would call back when I get out at 3 and he said that was okay. 20 mins later he called back and said he was Just following up on our counseling session and to please give a call back 5 phone calls and 4 voicemails later I answered again and told him again the Im at work. Again said that was okay but he continued calling all day until I requested a different counselor...

They charge 1800 a week, insurance usually doesnt cover half of it, and without informing you they charge 103 for the initial intake. They dont tell you the cost until after they do intake. If financial struggle contributes to your mental illness I would not recommend this place.

This was an effective program for my son. The best part was his clinician/ counselor who was Cody.He was tough in the right way , yet compassionate and supportive. We will always be grateful for everything we have learned from this program. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is the fact that it is a 9 hour / week commitment which can be very challenging if done virtually.

Everyone there was so supportive and the clinicians truly showed care and understanding towards their patients. This program helped me a lot with my depression and anxiety, and I recommend this program to others who are in of high level care.

High Focus really helped me through a bad period of depression and anxiety that I didnt know how to get out of. With any program, you get out what you put into it, and its certainly true that not everyone benefits from the same thing, but I owe a lot to the people of High Focus for the way I can feel my life changing for the better. As someone who wasnt too keen on being there initially, give it a chance. You never know what you may need in order to feel better, but everyone deserves to feel better.

Drastically changed my life. Personally didnt find the content of the groups that helpful but just focusing on your mental health for 3-4 hours a day can really work wonders. My only gripe is how the abstinence program works, i understand its important for making sure the meds are working but someone who smokes socially isnt automatically abusing the substance, by that definition everyone who has a drink is an alcoholic.Overall though the staff are very friendly and Colleen is the best. I hated it at first but if you just get through the first week or so its really not too bad.10/10 would do again

I highly recommend High Focus for intensive outpatient treatment of depression. The group setting was very helpful. If I didnt want to share in a particular group session, I usually heard someone else share something that resonated with me. I could learn from their experiences and apply the same coping skills for my individual situation. The DBT therapy was instrumental in teaching me healthy coping skills for stress, relationships and mindfulness. My one-on-one sessions with Colleen were so beneficial. She was very kind and thoughtful which made it easy to open up and share difficult emotions. She was big on self-compassion and guided me through this painful process and I will forever be grateful to her. I also enjoyed working with the Colleen, Stephanie, Chase, Mike, Morgan, Kaitlyn, and Vanessa in group sessions. I learned from each and every one of them. Thank you for being a part of my recovery. My only criticism is with the psychiatrist Dr. Widroff. His bed-side manner was very acerbic and stoic which was difficult to deal with in the fragile state I was in at the time. Each interaction with Dr. Widroff became easier but had he been my initial contact with High Focus, I would have been scared away.

This may be long...I was in multiple places for treatment: detox centers, PHP, IOP, residential, you name it. I say this to show my experience with treatment.Pretty much: you can only get out of a program what you put in.I started IOP at High Focus in November. I am now in outpatient once a week. I thoroughly enjoy my treatment; so much so that I dont see myself ending anytime soon. I always leave feeling immeasurably better than going in. The clinicians are understanding and compassionate; extremely real. They always tailor groups to the needs of the moment. I like that there is a curriculum to follow. We always learn something new about our disease and how to have a successful recovery. However, every clinician is flexible to help our specific troubles. Each is always willing to ditch what should be done if there is a bigger issue. You do have to get drug tests (UDS) at least once a week. But guess what? We are alcoholics and addicts. If the worst thing I have to do in a week is give a urine sample then I count myself lucky For all the things I did for alcohol, which gave absolutely nothing and took everything, I can at least do this for my recovery. I actually voluntarily go twice a week for a UDS; it makes me more accountable.I would definitely recommend High Focus in Cherry Hill for those considering it. I have recommended it to four friends/family members already. They do everything in their power to give me the resources to have a successful recovery.

I was ‘treated’ here at the ages of 17-18 (am now 20). One of the psychologists (dark brown hair, white, glasses, female) sat me down and told me that I was being kicked out of the program and was beyond help. This helped to lead me to OD later that day. Kevin was absolutely amazing though. He motivated me and helped me through the program. He really helped to this day. An awful program overall though.

This is the worst establishment I ever went to for psch/addiction. Most of the counselors are condescending and I felt uncomfortable immediately. The psychiatrist was the worst he wouldnt let me talk & I felt like I was being reprimanded instead of helped on my first visit with him. He had me crying so I walked out & never went back. People in my group had the same problem with how they were treated with him. Now I am getting a bill a year & a half later.

I feel lucky to have been given the opportunity to attend counseling at High Focus Cherry Hill. It definitely gave me a calm place in the midst of crisis where I knew I could feel comfortable and safe during early recovery. The staff all immediately welcomed me into the program and seemed very professional as well as kind and caring. I would recommend this program to anyone who is looking for outpatient options for recovery. If you are willing, they will help you find your footing and start to get your life back!

The program itself is really great, its actually quite helpful. The groups are nice as well. The clinicians, however, dont really get it. They expect everyone to be perfect, and dont really show much sympathy or listen. It would be A-1 if they fired everyone and rehired.

This place made my depression worse and over charged my parents. Ive been months out of this program and my parents are still getting the bill. I was depressed surrounded by people with drug addiction. In the state i was in i shouldnt been with people who were recovering with addiction. I was suicidal and so were many people in the class. They would scream that they were going to kill them selves and the program did nothing about it.

If I could leave a zero I would. Absolutely the worst experience EVER! Totally unprofessional, terrible therapy. They use shaming as a therapy technique. They force daily pee tests so they can charge your insurance company. Gross and unhelpful.

Terrible place. Turned my loved one into an angry resentful person who is now more likely to relapse because of it due to their unprofessional treatment technique which is nothing more than trying to shame the person looking for help. Also they try to pad insurance bills with excessive blood/urine tests knowing the companies will pay.

I started here at the Adolescent program around four months ago now. The clinicians were amazing, and even the other patients were wonderful. I dont think I just got lucky, the environment of this place is the best.At first, none of us wanted to be there... Who would? A partial hospitalization program? No one wants that. But we were gently eased in, not really forced to speak in any of the groups. The groups were wonderful, and everyone who wanted to got a chance to speak. What I liked was that they allowed everyone to have groups together (The addiction and mental health), however they had specific groups for different things. For instance, they held a trauma group weekly. The best part of the day was called Process, where you basically get to rant about anything you want and get support and feedback from the group. The staff was always available to talk, and you got the support when you needed it. Even the rides in the van to HFC were fun!I highly recommend packing a blanket! Not necessarily because its cold (On the hot days it gets cold inside due to high air conditioning), but just because you can. Snuggling up in a blanket can make anyone feel better.Once you go into Intensive OutPatient Program (IOP), you have something else to look forward to! The center will give you a little mini graduation party and every gets to share nice words and finally have physical contact! (Hugs, as this is not allowed any other time due to concerns about patients not liking hugs but not being able to say no, or simply causing anxiety) It was wonderful! I graduated less than a month ago and Im so grateful for HFC! I love you Sophia! (Clinician)The only problem I had was while in Partial, and that was with the school. It was rather disorganized and several of the teachers were rather rude to the students. Others were wonderful, but it made it very hard to look past. Another thing was that the teachers would not allow you to use a main coping skill, coloring. Many patients brought in coloring books and pencils, but the teachers banned them from the room which caused quite a lot of anxiety.Other than that, HFC was one of the best things that has ever happened to me! Id recommend it to anyone (Mostly the Cherry Hill one)
