Just an absolutely horrible experience;We requested a pod for delivery on Monday, August 23rd, without a delivery window. By mid-day on the 23rd, we had not received any communication about when to expect the delivery of the pod, we spoke with a rep through chat, who said that a truck broke down, and wouldnt be able to deliver a pod until Thursday (26th) of the same week.I mentioned it was critical that we have the pod by that Thursday, we had planned to have work done on the Friday, we needed to move all the furniture out as it was asbestos remediation. They offered free AM delivery to still provide us with the second half of the day to pack. Fine, its tight, but with friends, I could get it all organized in time.Its Thursday. The AM delivery window, according to the history of recorded time, should be between midnight, and noon. Accounting for their 1 hour call-ahead time to let us know it was on the way, by 11am, I was starting to worry. 11:15, 11:30, 11:45, all roll by without any communication.It was at this point that I figured I may as well subject myself to the process, yet again, of contacting them to get the status of the pod.I spoke with two reps over this process, Rebekah, and Matt, who did what they could, according to the tools at hand. None of the issue, or the resulting unprofessional behavior of the company is their fault.I was told, at 12:15 on the day of delivery, after reaching out to them, that the pod would not be delivered, and the best they could do would be tomorrow AM.Now, they saw in the notes of the order that I had the work starting on Friday. They were aware that it was critical that this pod, that we reserved weeks in advance, needed to be at the house before Friday.They left me high and dry. I cancelled my order as it will not be possible to get the pod past the contractor trucks tomorrow. Now I have to find a location for 3 rooms worth of furniture in my house.I normally do not leave poor reviews, no company is perfect all of the time. But look at the history of customer complaints here on google. It is imperative that you take into account the continued lack of professionalism of this company before you make a decision. There are plenty of great options for pod delivery, including UHaul, Pods, and many more. Do not choose this company.

UNBELIEVABLE!! Unit booked weeks in advance. I spend the whole day waiting for the unit to be delivered. I called 3 times and spoke to 3 reps who all assured me that the driver would call 1 hour prior to delivery.7:30 pm and still no unit. I call for a 4th time and wait on hold for 42 minutes to speak to a manager. He puts me on hold and then comes back on the phone to tell me that the warehouse manager said it wasn’t coming tonight because a forklift went down! When was someone going to communicate that to me?! When?! I have movers scheduled for 8am tomorrow and no where to move stuff to! These “best he could do” was to say that they hoped to have it delivered by tomorrow before 3pm! Unacceptable!!!

Believe everything the reviews say. Downright terrible. Scheduled a pod 6 weeks in advance and they no showed on delivery date. I called at 8pm and they assured me the pod would be delivered by 11pm. It was not. When I called in the morning they said they need a hour to “figure out what happened.” Meanwhile I had movers on the way to start to my move. Similar to what other people have said, if I could give a zero I would. I scheduled this service far in advance. Our scheduled delivery date comes, no show and no one could give answers. Eventually they said they would be there the following day between 9-12, fine. It’s 2 pm and still no answers. Customer service is awful and they have no clue what is going on. Would advise NOONE EVER USES THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

If I could give this company a zero I would. Booked a container weeks ago and now going on day 2 of no-show. You try to call to get an update and they give you a complete run-around. No useable answers just that they can drop off up until 10pm, and then text and email that they are not coming. This is after waiting all day long and multiple calls for updates. Sat on hold today for 2.5 hours trying to get someone on the phone. I’m still waiting for a call back so I can cancel this service because I want nothing to do with this company and am instead using PODS. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They have no problem being responsive and helpful giving you a quote and beating the competitions pricing, but once you ACTUALLY book with them they screw you over. Complete garbage company. DO NOT USE THEM! TERRIBLE.

We booked a 16 ft unit on May 18th for delivery on June 1. It came June 1st, we received a call 30 minutes ahead. We scheduled it to be picked up 6/28 the day before we closed on our new house. We received a confirmation text and call the day before. The guy showed up on time right before closing. Unfortunately, he said the arm on his truck broke and this was the THIRD one he couldn’t pick up. He said someone would be by later to pick it up. 3 hours later and no call. So I called and waited on hold for an hour and a half for someone to tell me they would be there at 9:30pm. Well that didn’t happen. We have now sold our house and purchased our new one and the pack has not been picked up. I have called and spoken to multiple people and they keep saying the operations manager of Cherry Hill is not answering emails or phone calls and nobody can get in touch with him. So not only are the buyers of our old house annoyed but we are very annoyed since we now have no beds the first night of our new house. What’s supposed to be an exciting day has turned into a stress inducing, miserable day of waiting on hold for hours for them to tell you nothing

I tried to rent a storage unit from them but because of the situation at my house they couldnt drop it off. No fault of theirs. They tried everything they could to help me and cancelled my order asap. I will definitely use them in the future if needed. Excellent customer service. Diane was excellent and very helpful.

Absolutely awful!!!! We scheduled 2 months before our move, and packrat text us the day we were set for delivery to reschedule. which gives us less than 24 hours to pack the packrat before we settle on our house. We were sent to the resolution department where the gut pretty much told us we need to cancel or have no choice but to wait. There is no resolution team they just literally tell you they cant do anything because they dont even know who to call to fix anything. We ended up having to get a Uhaul and spend more on the Uhaul, storage and dolly to tow our vehicle because we never anticipated having to drive a Uhaul. Now we have to essentially move twice as our house in Florida won’t be ready for a month so this is costing us an additional $1000 total, which may mean I will have to contact an attorney. We reserved an 8 x 8 unit to be delivered on Monday. On Monday morning we received a text message stating that the delivery had been pushed back to Wednesday. Okay, not great but we moved things around to make that work. It is now 10 PM on Wednesday and still no unit. We called twice today (sat on hold for over 40 minutes for the 2nd call) and were told by two separate customer service representatives that our delivery was still scheduled for today. This company has now derailed our entire move. Moving is stressful to begin with but now we’ve missed days from work, gotten a late start to our cross country move and need to figure out an alternative means to move our belongings last minute. I cannot understand why this company accepts reservations that they cannot fulfill. I wish that I would’ve looked at the reviews for this particular location rather than just the company reviews overall because it now seems clear where the issue lies.

They make pretty hefty promises that they followed through on. I was surprised not going to lie. I’ve dealt with so much nonsense in the past I thought this would be another instance of being disappointed. But hey, they followed through. I wouldn’t hesitate using Pack Rat in the future if I ever need them.

This continues to be the worst nightmare I have ever dealt with. Supposed to have our 2 units shipped from Rochester NY to harleysville pa on the 8th of May for my mother. Called and was told no such order existed. Prepared an order for the 17th, never showed. Was told the finance department never confirmed their end. Rescheduled for the 25th or 26th. Today is the 27th. Still no units. Was told the cherry hill facility has a broken forklift. Rerouted to Dayton facility. Wasnt even supposed to go to Jersey, Pottstown was supposed to receive the united so they could deliver them to her home in harleysville. At this point, who knows when or if well ever get her belongings. As a side note, initially took 6 days to speak to a real person just to set up the delivery. My mother is now in an empty house without her belongings. Pathetic. Horrible. Surreal.

My friend is going through hell trying to get his moving bin delivered to his new place. It’s 11am Wednesday, after it was supposed to be delivered Monday night. Im now on the second day I took off to help him move, and we’re sitting in a empty new apartment with nothing to move. Don’t ever use Pack Rat. This cherry hill location will make moving to NJ/Philly a complete nightmare.

I was supposed to have the container dropped off today from 8am-8pm. It was ordered last week and the container still hasnt been dropped off. I called customer service 3 times today and no one will answer the phone. I was on hold with music for over 45 minutes every time. I left 3 messages for customer service. The sales team will answer there line but they said the call back was 45 minutes. Well its 9:30pm at night and I am still on hold for a 4th time and have not received any call back from customer service or the driver about a drop off. I took off work today and the my contractor is supposed to start work tomorrow. The sales team wouldnt even give contact information for a manager. They just throw you into a que for customer service that no one answers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.I was told at 9:50pm last night I was next for delivery last night. 10 minutes later the customer service person gets back on the line after talking to Cherry Hill and they said the driver ran out of time and they tried calling me. No one ever tried to contact me yesterday.The supervisor said it would be here today between 8-10am. Hence, I am taking a 2nd day off from work. The driver called me at 8:05 am and said he would be here in 45 minutes. I said that wasnt possible from Cherry Hill, NJ. He said give him 50 minutes... Hence, they are still not here. I had to reschedule my meetings today.The order # is 6092856. You have my cell phone on the order.

BEWARE if you are in the Philadelphia area- 12 days before I needed and the day before I get a call that they have to push our drop off back 2 days. Okay fine. Today is the new drop off day so I call at 10am since I have not heard back about timing. Nothing back. Call again at noon, the phones lines are down. Get through at 1:30 and there is still no response back from the warehouse from my 10am call. Now I am selling my house and have nowhere to put my stuff. This is the most unprofessional company Ive ever experienced.

Horrible absolutely horrible! Do not get tricked into their open schedule availability. The 1800 number was confused as to why they weren’t delivering my pod. They stated that they tried to email them 6 times with no response. They can not call them directly supposedly. The 1800 never emailed me updates like they said that they would, so I had to call 5 different times. I have been waiting for days past my scheduled delivery. No call/text/email. Nothing!!! How can this be one of the highest renting pod companies! Scam! Go ahead and use them if you want a surprise delivery 2-4 weeks after your scheduled delivery date and oh did they forget to mention that they could deliver pods as late as 11pm. Unprofessional! Untrustworthy! I would give minus 5 stars if I could! I ended up calling pods but they aren’t very flexible and book 2-3 weeks out. and I unfortunately was screwed over la set minute by pack rat and have limited flexibility because I’m moving in 2 weeks. I called uhaul and ordered pods from them. They are around the same price professional and unused unopened blankets are included. Unlike pack rat where you can RENT used “washed” blankets for $7 EACH or you can BUY USED “washer” for $15 EACH. Never again will I make the mistake and never will I recommend them to anyone else! I scheduled a delivery date of Saturday 8/22, today is the 23rd. I called twice yesterday and was told both times the scheduled delivery date was still the same. I got no phone call from a driver, from no one. I have been calling today (Sunday) since 8am (that’s their apparent business hours according to their website) and they weren’t open. Finally got someone at 9:30 after close to 15 calls. She was very nice, I know she’s only the middle man so I’m aware it wasn’t her fault. She tried calling the Philadelphia facility and got no response. She told me she’d update me tomorrow (Monday) and that it is unlikely it would be delivered even today. In addition to that I had paid people to come help move yesterday and they basically sat around and I still had to pay them...Oh and when you schedule an “anytime” drop off, make sure you’re aware that the latest is 11PM (which it says no where when you order it that it could be that late)...if it even gets delivered that day. Really regretting using this company. I’ve called 2 other places to try and get a container today but no availability. So basically the 2 main days I had to move out of my house were wasted. Me and my husband work full time and have to be out of our house by Thursday night....Thanks Pack Rat!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Drivers are unprofessional. I am moving with my girlfriend and she and I rearranged our whole schedules to move into our house the weekend of 8/1. had issues with pick up timeliness and they said they were coming and just drove off. The service never alerts you to when they will be at your residence. They were supposed to deliver the pod today and waited till closing to tell us they couldn’t deliver until 4days later so now we are without our items in an empty house for the weekend sleeping on a floor. Not to mention the wasted work time off requested and movers we had booked.A GIGANTIC WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY. They make a hard thing like moving harder rather than easier.Update: This company can’t keep any timeline without also making excuses. A company that is centered around trucking as an aspect of their business is completely derailed for a day due to a flat tire. They must only have one truck at this location. And you would think that after you delayed a person 4 days late of the original delivery date would try and make you a priority. Tried calling to schedule delivery and they told me they are so backed up that it would take at least a week. So I settled for the earliest day available, a Sunday. Called Friday before to schedule an AM delivery and was on hold for 45 mins. After 45 mins the customer service rep told me that it would be delivered Monday and not Sunday, it would cost 100 dollars to deliver it Sunday, and that he’s not surprised with how horrible my experience has been since it is coming out of cherry hill New Jersey.So I’m left with an empty house with no compensation. No discounts, no sorry, no rush delivery. I will never use this company again.

The only reason for the 3 stars, is bc the drivers were amazing! Every single one of them from beginning to end. As far as everything else, not so good. We had to call again today bc our empty pod is still just sitting there several days after it was supposed to be picked up.

Read all the bad reviews on here but still decided to give them a shot. Don’t be like me and waste your time. Had a scheduled drop off for today and we had a no show. We even called earlier in the day and they assured us we were still on the schedule and they would be there sometime before 11pm. Never came. They don’t even utilize common sense business practices like notifying their customers when there will be a delay. They just never showed and never communicated anything to us. We called and cancelled immediately and then scheduled with another company. We are moving with a 2 year old and newborn and don’t need any more stress and want to work with a reliable business.

We used 1-800-Pack-Rat for a long distance move from GA to NJ. We decided to go with them in part based on their advertising for weatherproof containers and containers secured in climate controlled facilities. We knew we would need to keep our items in storage for a couple of months while we searched for a home in NJ too. We rented 3 total units from them. When we finally received our units, we found out that the company never stored our units in Cherry Hill as promised and instead kept them stored in GA. As soon as we opened the doors to the second unit, the smell of mold/mildew was overwhelming. My photos show the ceiling dented, the caulk cracked and mold all over. Almost 5K of our furnishings were ruined because of the mold/mildew/water damage and this company refuses to take care of the damages stating that my pictures dont depict mold, only caulk and denying that our items sustained mold damage even though the adjuster they sent to my home 5 months later confirmed that our items were ruined and there was visible mold on many of our items. We never thought a company as large as 1-800-Pack-Rat, who is also a Lowes (home improvement store) company, would treat us so poorly. The worst part is that not only do they refuse to provide us with any of their so-called estimates and reports, they took nearly 6 months to even present us with an offer. They offered just over $800 to compensate us for ruined sofas, a ruined mattress, ruined bedding and clothing. Dont think this had anything to do with the additional insurance- we purchased their top insurance plan. This is simply the companys way of trying to nickel and dime consumers in my opinion. The delivered an inferior unit. We inspected it when we received it in GA but somewhere along the way they damaged our unit which allowed further destruction of our property. Buyer beware. The local team promised that the company would take care of our damaged furnishings. They saw the condition of the unit and smelled how horrible it was BUT the company did not do as promised.

Horrible, horrible experience. We ordered 2 containers for our move from Texas to Monroeville, NJ. Pick up was fine. When it came time to deliver all of a sudden there was a $400 delivery fee we had to pay. First container with our stuff was delivered and we questioned why the container wasn’t put in the driveway on an angle but they wouldnt give an answer. Second container was supposed to be delivered on Friday December 18th and pick up the first empty container. They called on Friday December 18th at about 5:00 p.m to say the container would be delivered late about 8:00 p.m. They never delivered or even called. We called Pack Rat the night of the 18th to ask why it was never delivered and the customer service stated they would call us first thing on Saturday to give us answers. They never called. We received an email stating the second container would be picked up on December 23rd but we never received a delivery date. Sunday morning the 20th at about 8:00 a.m. a Pack Rat driver calls telling us he is in our driveway to deliver the container. No notice at all. When we talked to the driver he said he was called in at the last moment to deliver the 2nd container and he worked at a different Pack Rat location and was doing it as a favor. He asked why the 1st container was not placed on an angle. He dropped the 2nd container and when he was trying to pick up the 1st container he was driving on our lawn and got stuck. He destroyed our lawn in that area and had to have a 35 ton wrecker come lift and tow him out after 3-hours of trying to get the truck out. He was here for about 8-hours. He never took the 1st container. We called Pack Rat to complain about all the damage, 2-foot deep hole the truck made, and the mess that the driver was left when he was trying to get the truck unstuck. Wednesday the 22nd a driver comes to pick up the 2nd container but leaves without picking up either container. He stated that Pack Rat did not know there were 2 containers here and that he could not pick up the container because he did not have room. We call Pack Rat customer service and they thought we only had 1 container in our driveway and didn’t know why neither container wasn’t taken and had no notes in the system about it. Wednesday December 23rd (present), driver shows up to pick up 1 container and says he cannot pick it up. He calls his supervisor and tells his supervisor that it looks like the only way to get the containers is to drag them. He said his supervisor told this driver that they would have to leave both containers because they did not want to make more damage and that Pack Rat would pick them up when the ground was dry. We are supposed to have family over for Christmas and we have no parking! This is horrible. We are going to look into having the containers towed off our property by the police. They finally came and took the 2 containers late on Christmas Eve. Horrible experience!! The order is under Jessika Szatny.

I usually do not write reviews however I need to warn everyone about potentially booking through pack rat. The booking agent was very nice however the unit never showed up. I was told multiple times I was on the delivery schedule for nothing to show! I even got a call the next day apologizing for the missed appointment and was assured I would get it...never showed! Wish I could give 0 stars in stead of 1.

I booked 2 storage containers with them 3 wks ago. I was told my first pod would arrive 8/4/20. I called late afternoon to get an update and they told me they wouldnt have time to get to me. I was then rescheduled for 8/5 between 8a-12 noon. I called SEVERAL times and spent 1 hr on the phone trying to locate this pod only to be disconnected. I had to call back and spend another hour on the phone and was told, Im not sure what you want me to do. I asked for a supervisor, and they wouldnt get one for me. It is now 6:45p and I still have no pod! First pod is due to be picked up on 8/7 and the second one is to be delivered the same day. Dont know how that will happen when I dont have the first one. My husband and I took the day off work for nothing! We now have 4 days to move out of our home and have to come up with another plan. Very disappointed with the way they do business. Ill never use them again, and would NOT recommend. Dont waste your money!UPDATE: Pod never came. They were a no show yesterday and again today. We never received a phone letting us know they werent coming.

Do not use this company. We had a pod scheduled for weeks to be delivered on a specific date when we would have a bunch of people available and they failed to deliver. I called 2x and they assured me the pod would be delivered between 2:45 pm and 6:45pm, however, they also advised that they had up until 11pm to get it delivered and that I would get a 1 hour courtesy call whether they would be able to deliver it or not. That call never came and neither did the pod. This is unacceptable and based on other reviews Ive now read, is par for the course with this company. Do Not Use them if you have a specific date you need to have a pod delivered.

I will never use 1800 PackRat again. My wife and I moved from Salt Lake City, Utah to Levittown, PA and our Container was supposed to be here 3 days ago! I have called multiple times and say on hold for over 45 minutes just to find out they can’t tell me where my container is, all they say is that it is delayed in transit! They said the latest It could arrive is the 19th which was the original date they were supposed to Be pick it up after it was emptied. In the beginning of the move the drop off and pick up was on time and professional and friendly. Now drop off at our new place has been a disaster because we have none of our stuff for our new place. I don’t understand how they can’t tell you where my container is. What really blows my mind is the fact that my wife and I left Salt Lake City a week after the container was picked up and took a 10 day road trip and we still arrived at our New place before the container did. I WILL NEVER USE THEM OR RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN!

Our container, which has my Type 1 Diabetic husbands medical supplies inside, was supposed to be delivered a week ago and we are still waiting. We have made numerous calls to 1-800-Pack-Rat to no avail. All they do is tell us that the Cherry Hill facility is terrible and non-responsive and as soon as they hear from them they will contact us. If 1-800-Pack-Rat knows that this location is a problem, why do they continue to allow them to keep their franchise as it makes the entire company look bad. We have several friends that are planning long-distance moves and I told them how much cheaper Pack Rat was, well now I know why and will tell our friends to avoid them. Moving is stressful enough, but now I have to worry about my husbands health because he does not have access to the supplies he needs to keep his blood sugar controlled. Im just really hoping he does not end up in the hospital.

Terrible experience. I was set to close on 8/10 and had set up the delivery of the 2 containers for several weeks before. The delivery day came and went with no containers and no call. When I called customer service, there was basically nothing they could do to get my containers here the next day. One was 8 days late and the other was so late I had to cancel and rent a u-haul. Moving is stressful enough and this just added to it.

This experience has been awful. My pod has been schedule to be delivered for 3 weeks now. Delivery day came and went, and I recieved no notice and no pod. I had to call, wait on hold for 30 mins just to get a return call. They said they werent able to deliver until the next day. They promised to have it delivered by 9am the next morning. As of 1pm today, no pod and no call. Corporate has not power, and the delivery coordinator is now ignoring phone calls and texts. I would never recommned this company to anyone.

NIGHTMARE! BEWARE!!! Booked weeks in advance for an August 4th delivery of my container to be told the night before when I called to confirm the next day and get a 4hour window that they had called me early to push it back 2 days to the 6th. So the 6th comes and I call first thing in the morning to get my 4hr window to be on hold for a half hour and end up leaving a message. My call was returned that afternoon but they were unable to give me a four hour window because they said the driver did not upload his schedule yet. After work at 6 PM I called again to be on hold for an hour and a half to have to leave a message again. While on hold with service dept on my cell phone I called on my house phone and got right through to the quote department and only had a five minute wait for the billing department but neither could help me and transferred me to the service line to be put on hold once again. For the 2nd time I had to cancel with the people who were going to help me load it. Today is the 8th and still no call back from several messages. After my third call that got right thru to the quote department I demanded a call back from the service department or I was calling the better business bureau and a news company I was told that he could send an email to a manager in the service department. 3 hours later at 10pm I was called back by a manager in the service department and he informed me that he was in contact with the warehouse that was delivering my container and they would not be able to deliver it until Tuesday the 11th! At this point I am screwed for my move and now I do not enough time left to find another company as they are all booked past my settlement date! DO NOT BOOK A MOVE WITH THIS COMPANY. I only gave it a one star because without any I could not make this post!

We used 1-800-Pack-Rat for our long distance move from Georgia to Pennsylvania and couldnt have been happier with the service they provided. All of the representatives I spoke to on the phone were friendly and really helped to coordinate our move. The delivery truck drivers were great and were able to drop our container exactly where we wanted it. Also, the storage option came in handy because our home purchase was delayed so we were able to have 1-800-Pack-Rat keep our container at their Cherry Hill location for additional time. Overall our long distance move was much easier with 1-800-Pack-Rat doing the container transportation so we could drive our own cars to Pennsylvania with our children and dogs!

If i could give negative 5 stars I would. We moved on July 31, our container was supposed to be picked up and moved that day and taken to our new house. 5 days later and still no container. We are all sleeping on the floor including a baby. We keep getting the run around every time we call saying that they are coming, that we will be receiving a call...and nothing.

If I could give this company less I would. I recently used them for a long distance move from MN to PA. The facility in MN was great however the facility in Cherry Hill, NJ where it was delivered to and the 1-800-packrats customer service team has been an absolute nightmare. My container has been at the facility for a couple of weeks. I had my full container delivery scheduled for two weeks. They no showed. Never showed up with my container even though the website showed it was confirmed and Ive received emails stating they were company. Ive talked to three people at the company including a supervisor who have been no help, are not helping and are telling me after days now that they cannot get in touch with anyone at the facility and that there is no one that stays at the facility to field calls. They have stated they have emailed them multiple times and called cell phone and in two days no one calls back. Who believed this? Not me. They refuse to let me speak to anyone hirer up and actually said no they would not. They however now are telling me that if I want to go to the facility and empty my container there I can. So they can get ahold of someone to do that but not to resolve my no show delivery issue. This place is a scam and does not care about customer service and does not make things right by the customer. I am now waiting for who knows how long to hear when I will get my property and sitting in an empty house. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I was limited to 300 words so I could not tell them everything, but this is a start!Luv,Dad-------------PackRat picked up our container 4 days late, then guaranteed a 5-day Expedited delivery, and never showed up! They postponed our delivery three times and each time we were postponed we had to cancel movers that were scheduled to unpack and deliver our furniture and other contents. The last cancellation, we were called at 5:10 pm the night before we were promised a “guaranteed” morning delivery! We had to scramble once again to line up a mover on such short notice. We were told our POD had arrived to your storage facility in West Palm Beach near our destination of Boca Raton Florida when in reality the wrong POD was delivered to Florida from NJ. Once our POD finally arrived, once again on the wrong date promised, our contents were damaged. We are in the process of photographing the damages and completing your claim form for reimbursement for the damages. In all, our POD arrived almost 3 weeks late from the original promised delivery, which meant our daughter had to sleep on a hardwood floor and live out of her suitcase for almost 3 weeks while starting a new job in Boca Raton Florida without her clothes, furniture, and personal items. WE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND PACKRAT TO ANYONE AND WILL MAKE SURE TO SHARE OUR EXPERIENCES TO ANYONE CONSIDERING HIRING YOUR COMPANY. We have moved numerous times in our 39 years of marriage and NEVER have we had such an unprofessional, incompetent and reckless moving experience. Your customer service department is no better, and seemed like they could care less about what was happening to us. We were told by one of your employees, who shall remain nameless and was the only truthful employee we spoke to, that the wrong container was transported to Florida from NJ and that our container never left your storage facility in Cherry Hill NJ after it was picked up! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??? It is difficult to believe that PackRat can even continue to exist as a business treating its customers as they do and even lying to them. Scheduled three containers 10 weeks out. They arrived 3 days late. Company says, it is a busy time of year. Theyre in the moving business, of course its a busy time of year. Thats why I scheduled 10 weeks early. One drive was awesome. Drivers dont always call first. The 1-800 number is a bunch of call answerers who really know nothing more that what the local agent puts in the system. They read you a script and tell you to be sure to answer the phone when the driver calls.Pick up of containers was days late. The 10-day long-distance move took 17 days...cost me money. The drivers arrived without dunnage (wood blocks) for leveling. Left me in an unsafe situation with the container tipping back and forth everytime I moved something out.Convenient concept; poorly executed. I spent 30 years in the military and moved dozens of times. Never had such a disappointing, frustrating experience. Try PODS; maybe they can do better.

My crate was not scheduled for any truck on its drop off day. It took two hours of belligerent customer service to get it here.CS: Your pod is 4th out of 6th on its truck.Truck Driver: You were on no ones schedule, they just called me for this one.Now its still sitting there, not picked up despite being past the date and CS insists they are still on time.They give no time window for deliveries, so you are stuck all day waiting for them.Terrible company, find a competitor.

My experience with Pack Rat, unfortunately, has not been a good one. When I first looked researched the price of the unit, I was given a reasonable number. However, its not until a customer service agent called to finalize the order was I informed that there would be a drop off fee and a pick up fee.When I needed to call customer service, for anything, I was usually transferred to three people before I got to someone who can address my needs.Finally, when the pod was dropped off for unloading, they wanted to charge me a ridiculous price for drop off and pick up. When I fought this, I learned that their facility was no longer local, but closed and all of the pods were moved OUT OF STATE!! No letter or notice sent mentioning anything about this. And on top of that, they were going to charge me for mileage! You gotta be kidding me ?!?(I fought this and won! )

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I ordered a POD for a Saturday and it never showed up. It didnt come until that Monday. They were suppose to pick the POD up yesterday and never showed up. Now they are telling me they arent coming until next week. Stay far away from this company. They are extremely shady and I would never recommend them to anyone.

If I could less than 1 star I would. Horrible service. Dropped off very late and caused damage to the front of my house. You cannot contact anyone. When you call corporate, you have to say that you are either a new customer or a cooperate customer to get someone to answer. Im still waiting after 2 days for the unit to be picked up from my driveway. Still cannot contact anyone after numerous messages left. I finally got in touch with corporate who told me that they have been having significant problems with this packrat facility. DO NOT USE. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME

I wrote to the company and asked for an email quote. I got a email back telling me that they had a discount available for me, and asking me for my phone number. I reiterated that I wanted a quote via email.... and never heard back from them.This is the kind of sleazy attempt at high-pressure sales that you should avoid at all costs. Yesterday, packrat illegally entered my property, moved my packrat from where it was and placed it in my driveway in front of my garage. i can not get into my garage and they are refusing to move it. they are refusing to take responsibility for any of it. stay way from this company.wait it gets better. put through to greg costas, a supervisor. he is not available of course. the person who answered his phone hung up on me.theya ll seem to think that because the company put in place a new policy since they delivered the unit months ago, that it is reasonable that they entered my property without permission and moved the unit so that i can not get into my garage. they did however offer to move the unit into the street.
