I am neither a student nor am I generally a complainer. However, they are rude in office and mail delivery while greatly improved, is still spotty. They used (nonexistent) loose dog as an excuse to me as well. What are you to do though? Only option is PO Box.

The service here was excellent. The postal worker kindly offered advice anf even saved me money by showing me a cheaper alternative to the packaging I selected. My wife has lived in Cheney for years and says they havr always been very friendly and helpful yo her as well.

They refuse to mail my mail because they say there is a dog loose on the premise. Its been over a month and I still havent found the dog they are talking about! During the entirety of this time they failed/refused to deliver my mail at all!!! The shocking thing is that they havent delayed my four neighbors mail at all and their mail boxes are only about 10 feet away from mine with no barriers. I spoke to the post master in this location about the issue and she was super rude to the point of yelling and insulting me. Mark my words, if I ever find this imaginary loose dog the post office is talking about we are going to have a serious sit down convo about my mail!

I suspect that the negative reviews are from spoiled college students or other young people that thinks the world revolves around their perceived needs which are merely wants. I have owned my home here in Cheney for 17 years and I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE CHENEY POST OFFICE AND ALL THE AWESOME PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE. I have only experienced 2 problems in 17 years and concerning 1 problem the mail sorting supervisor on a Saturday afternoon when the office was closed found my package which was medicine from the VA. I ordered a bookshelf online and they refuse to deliver it to my front door and I dont have a truck to pick up such things my front door is 10 feet from my mail box lazy people at this post office wont do thier job they do this continuously.

I dont understand where all these negative reviews are coming from, I had a great experience. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and courteous. Cheney is a college town full of college students, and kids that age usually think the world revolves around them. Im guessing thats where the negative reviews are coming from, because my experience was nothing like theyve been describing. Great service, extremely friendly and helpful.

They delivered my stuff to neighbors many times. I’ve been receiving neighbors mails many times. Contact them about the problem and still receive neighbors mails. They lost my mail with tracking number and after one month it shows that they deliver it to someone else. The worst post office I ever deal with. Some of the staff like to lie for some reasons. And they never return the missing package with tracking number. (Lost about $430 and they never refund me even though the package is missing and I have been calling many people many cases but without any solution for my problem)

Incompetent is polite. Im documenting the poor service and filming my mail box so i can share with the appropriate authorities. If it says do not bend they will bend it. If the package will not fit into mailbox it is rubber banded to the top where it gets wet or falls off into the street . If the package requires a signature, they dont even provide the correct address as to where the package is to be picked up. Why does it say:Hayden post office in Idaho??? Time to get your act together people.

We dont have a car and live on the other side of Cheney. We order items online, to be delivered, to our door. Because we cant go pick them up from the post office. Every single order we have has NOT even been attempted or has just been a nite left at the mailbox to go to the post office to pick it up. Why have mail delivered on a Saturday, if the post office wont even have hours open?

This post office is a great example on why the united states postal service should not be funded by taxpayers.They lose packages, deliver mail to the wrong addresses (Ive received packages that arent addressed to me or my address) and they have terrible customer service.Do not trust important parcels with this post office.

Service was good, I went to get a new passport and the employee at the counter was very helpful. Even let me use the office phone because I forgot mine at home (oops). They were very patient with me and got my paperwork and picture done in about 15 minutes.

My uncle is ill and lives in another state and was sending me a care package via priority mail that I was supposed to receive weeks ago. Unfortunately, it turns out he put the wrong zip code on my package, instead of 99004, it was 99006. I went to the Deer Park (99006 zipcode location) post office two times to see if they had gotten my package. Both times they told me if they had found my package they would have corrected the address and have it sent back to the plant where it would go back to Cheney.Low and behold, when I finally got the tracking number from my uncle, it said that the package had already arrived in the Cheney Post Office a week ago and was waiting for me to pick it up in office, which I thought was odd since I only live a few blocks away from the post office. Anyways, I went in, and was greeted by an older woman with long brown hair who was very curt with me and did not listen to what I had to say. I practically begged her to check for my package again and when I said that it said it was there on the website and wasnt going to be sent back until June 14th, she just told me to get it sent back. I went online and rescheduled it to arrive at my address, and it said it could be delivered tomorrow, the 27th, from the Cheney office.This perplexed me. I tried calling the Cheney office again but, as always, the number just leads to getting hung up on almost immediately. I tried calling the Deer Park post office again to have them check their system for it now that I had the tracking number and they said it was in the Cheney Post Office, and implied that the Post office was supposed to retain mail they were unable to deliver for 14 days (it has only been 10 so far). I bit the bullet and went back to the post office and once again, the mean lady with long brown hair complained that I came back, interrupted me when I said that the phone number didnt work, and just told me the system was broken and that itd update tonight at midnight to not be there anymore. Ive worked in the service industry for my entire career and I could never imagine treating a customer with such disdain-- openly complaining that she was asked to do her job, right to my face.I still have the package set to arrive tomorrow, though I assume it wont arrive because they just dont bother to update their system here I guess, at least thats how it seemed from how that dreadful woman described it.I love my uncle and have been waiting weeks to get my package, and I wont lie, the poor treatment I faced at the post office left me in tears.Extremely disappointing service. I would never treat a customer this way at my job.

Basically every time I order a package its either late or it just shows up randomly I wish theyd actually use the scanning system.

Absolutely awful, had one package to be delivered by them so I stay home all day. Yet then I track the package to find out that they had attempted to deliver and that it had failed. Oddly enough the time of failure was at a time I was right next to my door. Its like they didnt even try, must be nice to have a job like that. Awful service and delivery along with needing to wait two more days to get something along with an hour wait to talk to a person. An absolute embarrassment.

They go several days without delivering our mail. They don’t deliver our packages. They put them on the truck and then at the end of the day say available for pick up. Hello people, I don’t order from amazon because I want to have to run somewhere to pick something up. I order from amazon because I have three small children and it takes me a lifetime to run one errand. UPS constantly get it right but this post office sucks to high heaven.

First time to this post office, and definitely my last. I tried to send a parcel overnight and not only did the clerk speak to me disrespectfully, but she also acted as if I wouldnt have enough money for the express rate. Due to her poor service and degrading tone, I took my business down to Copy Junction and received very friendly service, the shipping I needed (sent FedEx) AND a lower rate. Skip the trip to the post office, folks, and head over to Copy Junction!

The lady that helped me was condescending and thought that I would appreciate her opinions on what I am shipping. I didn’t ask for your opinion lady, keep them to yourself. And try to be nicer. If I didn’t know it was a post office, I would have mistaken it for a coffee shop because the ladies behind the counter won’t stop talking, judging, and gossiping as if they were on a coffee date.

The tracking and delivery of packages is erratic.Packages arent scanned as they should be, and then they show up all of a sudden.Sometimes they just drop them on the porch, and say they were put in the mailbox. This is very irritating especially when people are stealing things from peoples porches.

We got our neighbors meds, important documents of mine were sent to our neighbors, if they left a package at the door they didnt knock, and today they just left our packages under the mailboxes in broad daylight for all to see/steal. So fed up

This has been my home post office for 6+ years now and every time I have called I have received EXCELLENT customer service. I run a business and the volume of packages I mail is greater than most... Ive never had ANY problems.

Ive send at least 20 packages there in the past couple months. I have not witnessed any bad customer service or rudeness like other reviews have noted. Always greated and been treated great. Ive never had an issue!!

If I were to be able to do less than one star, I totally would. If you want to go to a post office that has employees that dont take their customers and/or their jobs seriously and literally laugh in your face, well then you have found the right place.I had a package that was a half a week late, and due to the companies fault it didnt even get the thing sent to my doorstep. Already frustrated with the situation I had to walk all the way to the post office to pick up it up. When I get there I try my best to give an explanation about my situation and why my package might have not been sent, and their first response was to laugh at my face for no reason. I was very puzzled to what exactly was funny about the situation, but they kept laughing about. After they were finally done laughing, they asked for my personal info, in which they kept laughing as they misspell my name. Luckily they did have my package, and after I received it I practically ran out of there in a fit of rage.Never have I been so disappointed and at the same time enraged for being ridiculed while trying to do such a insubstantial task. It really is a shame that this is the few places in Cheney to get your mail. I highly recommend avoiding this location if you dont want your day ruined by those who want to do so for their sick enjoyment or for whatever reason they thought was valid to do so.

As many reviewers have said, if I could leave less than one star, I would.The Cheney post office used to be wonderful. The last 2-3 years its been awful. Numerous times my packages have been left in the weather, I have called the post master 4 times to ask, very nicely, if his carriers could make the extra step, 2 feet, (see picture:) so as not to leave my packages in the rain. LITERALLY an extra step. Fed-Ex and UPS seem to be able to do it, they even ring the door bell. Package deliver is not the only issue but its the main one, very frustrating.My front landing is literally 2 steps high. The one time I was NOT nice was when they left my sons USMC Boot Camp Graduation book in the rain. Fortunately I got to it in time and the rain did not soak through the outer cardboard.

Whoever delivers mail to my apartment complex must be completely incompetent. I had a package that said do not bend on it in clear bolded black underlined letters and they literally shoved it in my tiny mailbox and bent it into a right angle, completely ruining my paperback book. I was going to return the book because I found out I dont need it and now I cant even do that because they completely destroyed it!!!

This place is ridiculous. My wife and I just moved to Cheney and our first package of water was not left at our door. We watched the post office employee walk up to our door and put a note on our door saying she tried to deliver our water. She never knocked or rang the doorbell. I cannot stand lazy people! She didnt even try to deliver the water because it was around 25lbs. Im sorry, but if you cant deliver packages that are up to 50lbs, then you should not be working at the post office. Now they want us to come pick up the package at their office. This will not continue to happen.The reason we use Amazon Prime, is because we want things delivered! If we are expected to go pick up packages at the post office, then why wouldnt we just go to the store to shop????

I wish there was on option for zero stars. The workers are extremely rude and disrespectful, and every time I’m waiting for a package I get a note about “sorry we missed you” as I sit on my couch waiting all day for the package meaning there is no way you could’ve missed me. Clearly they don’t take their jobs seriously. Worst post office I’ve ever been to.

I dropped outgoing mail at the counter after paying to ship a few things. I had a “forever” stamp. The employee launched into a diatribe that I needed to pay one cent extra as the stamp I was using was an old forever stamp. I told her I’d bet her salary that if I dropped it in the blue box outside as-is it would get where it needed to. I did so and sure enough, it made it. Complete joke of an operation and staff has steadily fallen off in service quality. Good luck. #Fedex

I have zero issues here. I’m happy with their outside drop box. I have no delivery issues.

This is the worst PO I have ever used and Ive lived all over the US. Why are they so miserable and rude!! Every time I have dealt with them they are combative, talk over you, and make NO effort to listen and problem solve. Ive had to tell companies I order from not to use USPS because there is no guarantee I will get the package and trying to deal with them us a nightmare. The newer female PO Supervisor is awful.

Horrible customer service. Im at work and my wife has rheumatoid arthritis, taking care of 2 small babies at home. The older lady who just delivered our water, banged on our door and told my wife to come down to her vehicle to help her carry our boxes of water up. That is uncalled for and absolutely unprofessional. You are getting PAID to carry items to doors at certain times. Working for the post office, if you are not capable of carrying boxes that around 25lbs a piece, then you should find a different job.

To whomever the dingaling is who failed to deliver our package on 12/24, then marked customer requested this be left at the post office when we saw hide nor hair of the post office, thank you, ya blasted idiot. Received an unable to access door or mailbox to deliver message through Amazon Prime. Called the post office as I had never received this message in 4 years of deliveries to this address, Heather answered the phone and was combative, argumentative, and condescending during the entire conversation. I was told they dont deliver to closed businesses even though we have received packages on Saturdays from all delivery services prior to this incident. I thought this was an odd response considering they deliver to houses that are unoccupied all day everyday. I was told they would talk to the postal carrier who delivered it and possibly try to deliver it again. Package was finally delivered, I opened the mailbox to find the package was this time inside and had been mailed within a flexible manilla package that could have been placed in the mailbox on the original delivery attempt. On top of the fact there was no reason to not have delivered the package the first time, there was a notification on the label of the package stating: Carrier - leave if no response. Was not surprised to see the majority of reviews to be 1 star after dealing with such a rude employee who came off as if I was inconveniencing her by looking for information on a delivery.

Absolutely hands down the worst post office Ive ever had the displeasure of doing any sort of business with. They never deliver our mail because of snow on the street. The excuse today was I assume the puddle in front of the mail box.

Why is it that the Cheney post office has to shove packages into the Hayford Village individual mailbox that do not fit and you end up tearing the box up to get the packages out instead of using the large package boxes? This happens over and over tearing up items inside the packaging. It is bad enough that the wrong mail is in the wrong boxes. How about taking time to do your job right?

The postage delivery person decided upon herself that she would return to sender all my daughters mail because she thought she didnt live there anymore, even though she was still living there. My daughter never received important letters, documents and packages. Post office took it upon them selves to make a decision for my daughter that was completely wrong without even checking with her. Cost us a lot of money, time and stress.

Always super helpful and good at helping me get to the bottom of any issues which have been few and far between (I receive and ship a LOT as a business owner).

This post office is horrible, the manager is extremely rude. I called to see if a package arrived at the post office and was told I cant give you any information without your damn tracking number. I had only been on the phone with Tom (the manager) for seconds before he made this comment. along with there horrible costumer service our mail lady is extremely rude and lazy as well. If I order something she purposefully leaves the package at the office and puts a slip in the mail that states she could not get up our drive way (witch is paved). This post office is horrible.

After our weekend mail carrier dropped the package over fence, our dogs thought the package was a toy, so they destroyed it with out us even knowing a package was even dropped off. The next day the same carrier asked if we had gotten that package, after discussing, why he wouldnt leave a note if a mistake had happened (communication). Then getting ahold of the Cheney post master Tom Mcgodick , this guy is as unprofessional and rude as they get. My wife had talked to him about getting reimbursement for mail carriers carelessness two before I had too step in. When I called Tom, he was very rude over phone, and said come get the money, so again inconvenienced, I went to Cheney again to be rudely thrown $11 dollars in an envelope across counter. No apologies nothing, walked off, how unprofessional and a disservice this was. I showed up not for the money-back, but to show how these government workers need to be accountable for their actions, this circumstance was ridiculous. An apology would have gone a long way Tom Mcgodick!

Im so livid!!! 3rd time one of my daughters presents were scanned saying it was delivered and in the mail box but nothing was there. ive called about it three times and im convinced the mail lady is stealing our stuff. there is no way she messed up 3 times in the last 2 months, and if she did, she shoudlnt be working there in the first place. they are not aloud to leave packages at the door so i should have gotten it. the post office seriously said well it was scanned so it had to have been delivered. worst service i have ever had and now daughter doesnt get her presents. im not made of money and cant replace them. i will be sure to spread the word of this event. i was treated so rudely. they never even gave me a chance. i was immediately written off, not even with even the slightest bit of support. they should have just said they didnt believe me. thank you for ruining the surprise for my little baby

Have never had a great experience with the Cheney office. The delivery lady that has been coming to the apartment complex is straight up rude, and going in is no better.

My mail box was broken the first day I moved in been calling and going in about it but nothing has seemed to be fixed about it. And just over 3 weeks ago I went in to file a report and yet again they have done nothing about that either!

Poor service in all aspects of the business. Triple check they did everything right and buy insurance because chances are theyll make a mistake.

Of all the post offices I have had to conduct business with, Cheney post office is the worst. We have had to complain several times about poor deliveries where packages were not delivered, no knocks on the door, only a pink slip left in our mail box. Incorrect keys were also left in our mailbox for our packages and each time I’ve gone in to the office for service, the service aspect was certainly lacking. Henceforth, I will be going to Spokane for my post office needs.

Theres one lady whos genealogy unfriendly, but otherwise its fine. The wait is usually long.

Today makes 3 packages that have gone missing. Website says delivered, but my packages have been missing for days
