We didn’t quote other businesses so I can’t comment on price. However, it seemed fair. Doug came out to provide a quote within a couple days of contacting the office. We booked on the spot. We were informed it would probably be 3 months out before the work was performed. 2 weeks later we got a call saying they could come the following week! They email and text you notifications. The crew foreman called the day before just to introduce himself and confirm the appointment. They were on time, professional, friendly, and clean. Even with rain halting the work the first day they finished before the expected time. When they started the repair it was worse than initially expected so they provided a suggested path forward that was good with me. From what I can see, the work looks good! I’d recommend them.

I have an older home. The chimney that existed was no longer needed as I up graded the heating system. The chimney began leaking and rather than seal it I had it removed. Felgemacher did an excellent job removing, temporarily sealing the opening and cleaning everything up. The gentlemen that worked on this were truly gentlemen! Friendly, hard working, very thorough, and communicated what they were doing and why. I give them an A+!

Needed to have the chimney totally rebuilt. The chimney was taken down to the flashing and reconstructed to the existing height. I had a stainless steel flue cap, new 4 inch concrete crown with over hang. Insulation and durawall placed and now I have one beautiful, solid chimneyMy home is over 100yrs old and work was not simple. The crew of three arrived on time and completed the work in 1 - 1/2 days, which involved the internal flue removal (rusted), cap reconstruction, and installation of a new cap damper and pull chain. They were very polite and professional. They cleaned up when the job was finished, and left no trace. The new cap looks fantastic (see photo).

Everybody I interacted with was fantastic. They originally had to reschedule because one of their technicians was sick. They handled it so professionally and I was happy they were being safe and taking care of their staff too.They rescheduled very quickly and were very responsive and flexible. When they realized that I wanted to know more about the fireplace and chimney they explained things very well and showed me the inside of it. The head repairer mason, Eric was tremendous. He immediately alleviated all my fears of damage to my roof and deck from repair of my chimney that he was going to do. He explained in detail the work to be done and that any and all debri would be removed. He did what he explained what he would do . He was courteous and a diligent worker and came on time for the 1 1/2 days he was here. The restoration and repair was super. He came and looked inside my fireplace and stated that the old cover over the chimney had no venting and in using ny gas fireplace I could be dangerous. He showed me the new cover that had venting that was going over my chimney opening. Lastly, in talking to my neighbor across the street after my chimney work gad been done, he told me he used same company for similar work last year and the work was super in the repair of his chimney.

We called to schedule with this company for a chimney cleaning and inspection and the only available slot was scheduled 2 months out. We took the appointment and we got a courtesy call to remind us of our appointment in which we quickly responded with a cancellation and hopefully a reschedule (due to covid). The receptionist, Melissa, was SO extremely rude and unprofessional! Accusing us of having the repair person show up for no reason, which we were confused about because we were calling to cancel before hand? She hung up on my husband. When I called back, to ask what the issue was, that my husband had called and received a very rude response and was hung up on, she said “he said he was your boyfriend” (not sure why that mattered in the first place) and that I would be put on a list of people that aren’t to be scheduled ever again! Yikes! With such trying times, and this awful virus, things are a little turned upside down! We gave 24 hours notice, I’m assuming that wasn’t enough, but with a sick household, a chimney appointment was the last thing on our minds! I’ve heard the work they do is great! Unfortunately we will never know due to this receptionist!! Hopefully they don’t lose anymore business due to Melissas customer service!

The technician that came was on time and showed good professionalism in inspecting the chimney and fireplace. I appreciated that he followed appropriated public health practice prevent Covid spread. He made a few recommendations for follow-up services before we used our fireplace and told us that someone would follow up with us. I am disappointed that have not heard from Fegelmacher yet, but perhaps it is a delay because of the holidays.

My chimney needed some repairs. They got the job done allot sooner than expected. Im very satisfied with the work they did. My chimney looks great.

The work done on the chimney itself was well done. The workers were pleasant and quick. We are very happy with that part.The only issue we had is that when they put our grill back to its original location, they bent the leg, which essentially had ruined it. This is an expensive gas/ charcoal combo grill with smoke box that cost almost $300 that has been broken and Im extremely upset about and would like something done about.

Chimney repointing, new cap install and sealing on 1962 single story brick home in Cheektowaga. Water has been entering through mortar cracks and through a large gap under the cap for many years. I had a great experience with this company! I just recently bought a house and had no idea the shape the fireplace was in so I scheduled an inspection and cleaning. They were extremely informative and told me everything I needed to know about my fireplace and showed me the camera view of the chimney. They even explained to me the importance of a cap to prevent rain from getting in my chimney and I would have never known that! All around they were a very quality and honest business. Part of one of our chimneys collapsed in our basement early on a Saturday AM. Thanks to Felgemachers on-call service, we were able to contact them and apprise them of our situation. Lisa responded quickly and Eric followed up by coming by to scope out the situation. Eric was able to stabilize what was left of the chimney base, and he arranged for work to start Monday AM. Work was done in a timely and professional manner, and we feel a lot more secure knowing the chimney now is probably in better shape than its been in years. A miscommunication and a billing snafu put a bit of a damper on our experience, but things were quickly set straight, and were good to go now. Would recommend Felgemacher to anyone needing chimney/masonry work!
