Ever since i bought my Ford Ranger, Ron installed a roll bar, and a 3 inch lift. The truck is a 2008 but runs like new thanks to Ron and Lori.They have been servicing this truck for almost 5 years now and have always kept it in tip top shape.I would`nt take it any where else but 5 Star.Ron recently installed a fuel pump and it`s running like new again.If you want great service, guaranteed repair, and great price, then this is the place to go.Thanks Ron and Lori

They are dishonest. And they think because they come off nice to you that they can take advantage of you. They charge same prices as dealer. And cheap out on everything. I don’t even need to explain what they took me for. All I can say is there is 100 repair shops at every corner. I beg you to not go here!!!!!!!! Go 1/2 mile either direction and you find more honest people.

Excellent service received! I bought my car their they had me driving it in less than a week with the exact car model I wanted! They even drove to Ohio to get me the one I liked better in less than a week I’ve not had a problem with my car yet definitely pleased with my friendly service thanks to Ron and Lori I will definitely be returning again!

5 Star should be renamed to 6 star!Ron and Lori saved us on our family Christmas vacation. 2 hours into our vacation our we had an issue where our clutch blew (plus other damage) on our Subaru Outback and our car was not drivable. We had the good fortune / luck to pull into their shop and our wonderful experience with 5 star began.Our damage was extensive and was going to take time to fix (and get the parts). We decided to carry on with our vacation and rent a car and pick up our car on the way back. Lori called and arranged for a rental car and took us to the car rental location to pick up the rental. Ron kept us in the loop on the progress and explained the issue and fixes needed along the way. The fix was appropriate and price was reasonable, they know their stuff! Beyond being able to provide the fix that was needed, this team was super compassionate during a very stressful time 2 hours from home with our children and dog in tow. (not to mention that they have the cleanest washroom of any service station ever!) These are great people providing service that we would not have gotten from any “big” service shop. I wish they were closer to home and they would become the only car service company that I would ever use!Thank you so much for being there when we needed you.

Brought my car in for numerous issues caused by weather damage, and mechanical failures. While they did the work, they tried ripping off my wife for a part that cost $200, claiming it cost $550. Comfirmed that the part has never cost that much, ever, anywhere.They overcharged me for a transmission repair. When my wife broke our suspension slipping on ice, they didnt fix all of the damage or notify us that we would need a new rim; we found out later from me taking notice and bringing it to another shop. When my engine got flooded with rainwater and my insurance company mailed the check to me instead of them while I was on vacation, they called my phone on vacation and harassed me for their money, but never disclosed any details about the replacement engine, including an electrical defect that it had. When our car was towed back to them for a flashing check engine light brought about by a software update in this new engine, they failed to ever tell me about the update, or diagnose the light properly. After three times being stranded, I used a home bought diagnostic tool and 20 seconds of searching Google to find the issue myself, and bring it in to Hyundai to get repaired for free via a recall. $600 wasted on tows because they were too lazy and arrogant to search Google for the diagnostic code. Overall, they harassed me for something I couldnt control, then put in half-baked effort on every part of my car, and tried to take my wife for a ride financially thinking she would be too distraught to notice. She didnt fall for it, and you shouldnt either. Will never come back here again if its the only mechanic for 50 miles.

I went in for an estimate and end up I believe making friends! this guy really cares about his business and cares about his customers. Hes willing to go the extra mile but hes definitely not a pushover straightforward straight shooter from the hip! You gave me a fair price on my estimate and also gave me some tips just in case I decided to go some other routes. Which is great because and left me open to make my own decision about where or what I would do it! I recommend this place to anyone and definitely look forward at least going back is sitting in his waiting room and watching how he handles his customers!

Everything about Five Star was an amazing experience! Ron and his wife were very helpful. I took my car in with a fuel pump problem. Even though my car was kept for a few days, which is understandable to be properly diagnosed, Ron fixed my car and gave me his word that I would never stall out and be stranded again. This shop went above and beyond what I expected of them to find and fix my problems. His prices are so reasonable, and trust me I went to a dealer 1st only to have them tell me to keep driving the car until they could properly diagnose it. Not Ron! He was determined to find the problem even though my car left him stranded too! What a guy. What an awesome place. Great service. Great atmosphere. You are never a bother to these guys. This shop WILL NOT sell you something you dont need, they WILL NOT repair something that isnt broke like the other shops out there will. I WILL NOT go anywhere else for service. Thanks guys!!! I love the family atmosphere too.

Anyone writing a bad review of their services does not appreciate high quality work for a fair price! And when I decide to buy a new car one day, I told them I will not take any new-car service deals and go to them for all needed auto services. Ron goes above and beyond to figure things out when people would shrug it off and say ehh it’s normal. Fair prices as well. Always friendly and always covers the repairs they take care of. I had been having trouble with my Jeep since I first bought it less than two years ago. The dealer did a few quick fixes and told me it was fine. It had been to several mechanics who either charged me and fixed something else, or did nothing and told me they couldnt find a problem. When I took it to Five Star, they were able to find the problem and fix it to where my Jeep runs better than it did when I first bought it. I will definitely go back should I need anything else!

Maybe I have bad luck with mechanics. I needed to get my master switch to my windows replaced because my windows werent lowering. I explained that to them because I recently got a diagnostic. The mechanic said there might be something else wrong with it in the wiring but I would need a diagnostic to make sure. He convinced me this would be the cheaper route. Well after the $100 diagnostic they tell me it is the master switch. Then after getting it replaced both of my key fobs to unlock my car werent working. I took it back to the shop to see why. They wanted to charge me for another diagnostic even though my key fobs werent working the day I picked up my car from the shop. Im definitely not recommending this place to anyone.

Please read entire review! I am an actual customer with a real life experience with this wonderful shop. I cannot thank these guys enough!! We live in Texas and had some work done on our vehicle before leaving the state to visit family in Buffalo. About 1000 miles in we started having some trouble with the way it was running and codes coming up. The home auto shop assured us they did the work right so it was unrelated. Fast forward about a week into our vacation and the car just stops in the middle of the road after pulling out of the familys street. I searched for a reputable mechanic and Five Stars was just down the road. I am so glad that they were!! We got the car to them that afternoon and they got started on it first thing in the morning. Ron was there from the start going over the issues, what his initial thoughts were, what thier plans were for diagnosing and tackling the problem and most importantly; keeping my anxiety down with his reassurance! From that point forward, Matt and Ron were there for us every step of the way. Dealing with our aftermarket warranty company, the original repair shop, the adjusters, making phone calls and emails, tracking down the parts we needed to rush them here, all to make sure that we got our vehicle fixed as quickly as possible! Companies being as they are, there was a bit of pass the buck for what the damage was from but Ron and Matt fought for us! Actually fought for us! In the end, we needed to replace the entire engine due to the work that was completed properly by the home repair shop. They also went through to make sure that everything else the repair shop touched was put back together properly and we would get home safely. Even asking us to call and stay in touch when we got home. When I called, there was a collective cheer in the background 😄😄 Not only were they very knowledgeable with the work but they had amazing customer service and were overall just good people. From the first day Ron could tell I was high anxiety and he told me Youre job is to enjoy your vacation. My job is to make sure your car gets back on the road. Even on vacation, he ensured us that we were a part of the Buffalo Family. We planned on moving to Buffalo but the kidness and dedication Ron, Matt and the whole crew showed us, made that decision even easier. When we do move, we will only be going to Five Star for our repairs!! Again, we cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us!!

I Went to their shop like 3 months ago for an oil change, I am from Canada but I work in Cheektowaga never been there before, and they Patch my tire because one of them had a hole in it and rotate them as well. Initially brought my F150 in on the recommendation of a friend. Have been very pleased with their ability to handle numerous repairs Ive needed - brakes, steering components, airbag sensor, and on and on. This is the only repair service I have been to that followed through with calling before performing any work. Great customer service and keen ability to determine what is going wrong based on my imitations of noises and bumps. I will continue to use them for all future repairs.

Took my vehicle here with a 6 month overdue inspection. Ive admittedly had overdue inspections before, and this is this first place I have ever gone where the company did not try to bs me on what needed to be done for the vehicle to pass. I knew I needed at least 2 new tires and an alignment and oil change, and one of my taillight bulbs was out. Ron recommended that I replace all 4 tires because the other two would pass, but were borderline. He even fixed a ding in my rim that happened when I hit a curb at work and didnt charge me for it. I replaced the 2 tires to get the vehicle to pass and then today, a week later, took it in to have the other 2 replaced. I noticed that the same bulb was out and mentioned it. They didnt charge me for it as they said I was charged last time and they werent sure if it was the bulb I was charged for or not. I hope they stay open for a long time, as I will never take my vehicle anywhere else. What a great family run business. Ron and Lori are tremendous and I am happy to be a customer!!!!

When you bring your vehicle to Ron at Five Star Automotive he will tell you he is the best mechanic, and no one else is better. This is done to gain your confidence. His wife will be smiling at you acting like your a family member, this is also being done to gain your confidence.You think to yourself what nice people and your vehicle goes in to his garage. Now the following things are going to happen. Your going to get a call telling you the repair is going to cost more because he had to spend more time fixing your vehicle, even though you had a written estimate. He will keep your vehicle several days longer after he promised you your vehicle would be ready the next day. He will call you and tell you your vehicle is repaired and ready for you to pick up, you arrive there pull out your credit card then get in your vehicle drive a few blocks and realize your vehicle was not fixed properly, of course this will be at his closing time. Your nightmare is just beginning! You call him and tell him your vehicle is worse now than before you brought it in to him. He says bring it in, you drop off the vehicle before going to work, call him at the end of the day and he tells you he had other customers to take care of first and did not look at your vehicle. The next day you call and he tells you the same thing, he has customers before you to take care and did not have the time to look at your vehicle. You call again the next day and with a pleasant voice he says your vehicle is fixed, you get there get in your vehicle drive a few blocks and realize its not fixed. Now you realize that something is wrong and take it some where else and they tell you the guy that worked on your vehicle did not know what he was doing and the job has to be redone. You leave there go back to Ron and he tells you he will fix it but you will not get a refund you asked for. Your vehicle sits there several more days not getting fixed properly or not at all. You finally had enough and take your vehicle to the other garage and they fix your vehicle in a half a day. Your happy, but Ron will not give you back your money so your out several hundred dollars.This is what happened to me! Stay away from this place!!!!!!!!

Everyone kept telling me that I had to go to the dealer (and we all know how that would have turned out). I couldnt have had a better experience or have been luckier (if being lucky = breaking down) to end up at Ken and Loris shop. Living in several states and traveling often has afforded me the opportunity to meet several mechanics. Having just moved to the area and still having out of state plates made me cringe when my car broke down. I called a few different shops within a few miles of where I was to ask some questions regarding what might be wrong and then estimates on what it might be to fix it. Ken and Lori were the only people/shop I spoke to that morning that didnt seem annoyed with my questions so I decided to take my car there. After looking at my car I was given an estimate range as to what it would cost to fix it but they would need to start breaking things down to know for sure. I agreed to have the work down and couldnt have been happier, the car runs great now and the bill was MUCH BETTER than anticipated! Ken and Lori are friendly, honest people that do excellent work, I wouldnt consider another shop.

Customer service is always outstanding as well as the services done to my truck! Have been going here for about 2 years now and wouldnt go anywhere else!

My mother in-law we t in for an inspection and oil change and came out with a $196 bill. Ron broke the lug nuts on the tire he took off, blamed someone else then had to order new ones, and broke those. He charged for the labor involved in putting the wheel back on and the parts that were needed. We will never return to this mechanic again.
