Good, quick service. Recommended
Wonderful experience. Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.
Really good guy.
I walked into this little shop and ended up staying over an hour talking with the delightful owner. In addition to clocks, there are several antique pianos and organs in the shop, each with its own story, and the proprietor treated me to some of his playing while describing the history of each instrument. We had such fun talking that I almost forgot why I had come into his shop! I would highly recommend Harpers for any timepiece repair. Youll receive personalized service and will have fun looking around while youre there.
I brought my watch to have the battery replaced. He replaced the battery, but I noticed later the back of the case was missing. When I asked about it, he said it probably fell off. He didnt offer to get another one. He told me to contact Bulova and get the part. I will find a real watch repair next time. If I cant find a part for it, the watch is useless.
Inept, and unethical ... my wifes anniversary mantle clock was running a couple minutes slow, needed cleaned, and oiled. He had clock for 3 weeks and claimed to have it running correctly, and we paid and picked it up. After 2 days it was running 25 minutes fast in 24 hours. He said bring it back, and we did. He had for another 3 weeks when he said it was ready. We picked it up and after 24 hours it was running 40 minutes fast. We called him asking for refund since his tinkering was making clock worse. Unfortunately, he was argumentative and refused to refund our money. After $130 and a clock running far worse I can only say stay away from this place ... STAY AWAY !!!
Mr Harper does appear to strong minded...but once you get to know him he is as nice as can be. He is so knowledgeable. Every clock is a challenge to him. Im so happy that hes still working.
Extremely quick and well priced ....
Poor business practice! Does not give you a recipe! Only takes your name phone and number! Tells you what the amount will be and approximately when it will repaired. My 50 year old mantel clock had scratches on the top of the cabinet, called it out to him, he said it was done in transportation! Take a look at the how he stores the clock repairs . Find anothe repair shop......take pictures.
Conscientious, knowledgeable and experienced Chattanooga clock repair shop. I have several antique clocks that he was able to diagnose, repair and advise on maintenance and care.
