I recently had 1,000 photos scanned to a thumb drive and 997 of them were perfect, but 3 of the pictures gave the people elongated heads. I contacted the company over a week ago through email and have not heard from them. I will not be using this company again. The price paid for the service should produce excellent quality product not 3 photos with errors.

I used them 10 years ago and again just this month. The whole process is just seamless and headache free. I just wanted to leave a review for those that might be hesitant as I was.I received my digitized copies of tapes I sent them. Approximately 40 misc miniDV, VHS, EC-45, and Video8 tapes. Every single item was digitized although some tapes were blank. The whole process of receiving a box, using stickers to identify and tag each item, and then having a corresponding digital file with the same number is just wow. Makes organizing my digital files and reviewing everything so much easier. These old tapes from 20 years ago were not in 4k so Im not expecting HD quality on tapes that werent recorded that way. I would recommend using a digital video editor to fix or lighten up any dark videos.Im extremely happy with the results and am putting together my next order.

She passed on in 2006, so we couldnt ask her what was on the tape. I sent it to you for conversion, and I received the thumbdrive yesterday. If I could give them zero stars I would! My originals got lost in the mail when they shipped them back but they didn’t back them up in their system like they promised so my data was lost forever. And the real kicker is not just that I lost my children’s childhoods that I spent hundreds of hours filming, but the folks at South tree didn’t really seem to care. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

Went through a hiring process, got hired on only to be laid off the next month along with several other Southtree employees. Not only is this company not a reputable company to work for, I would not recommend Southtree to handle any of your most personal memories. There has been situations where items have been left behind from customers which in turn is a breach of privacy with the lack of training to prevent situations like such to happen.

I trusted this company with my valuable memories. I sent two VHS tapes of my family from 30 years ago and just like that theyre gone. It took 3 months for Southtree to tell me that they had lost my tapes and didnt backup the tapes to make digital copies. They said they will Investigate but theres nothing to investigate if the tapes can not be recovered according to their representative. Do not trust this company with your valuable memories.

I had sent childhood camcorder 8MM tapes, and as well as VHSs... The one VHS was from 89... This company did amazing work!!! I definitely would use their service again... So much memories, and such a great experience to be able to watch them on a newer device... Thank you soo much!!

I sent out a box of some ancient VHS tapes and a few old camcorder tapes...and a few weeks later I received all my tapes back as well as a link to a series of wonderfully clear digital downloads of all my treasured content!Very happy with this service. The videos they did for me are wonderful. All my memories in one place. I couldnt be happier. My audio tapes were not as well done. I have a very hard time hearing parts of the audio tapes. I am not sure if the mistake was on my end or theirs, but just a tad bit disappointed they didnt come out as good as the video. It took a lot longer to get the audio tapes than the video tapes. It was a good 2 months for the video and almost 3 for audio. I had 18 video tapes and only 5 audio.

Horrible service. Its been 8 weeks to convert 2 VHS tapes and 1 they didnt convert. Said I could resend it in for an additional $10 shipping charge to try to convert again. I bought a groupon and they had the same discount on their website for free! Beware of this company and their additional charges.

Some of the best customer service Ive ever experienced. Quick and on-target response to an inquiry that I emailed about a detail of their services. Have purchased from them and the transaction was incredibly smooth- they send you packing materials, clear instructions, and send status updates on the processing of the order.

Wonderful customer service. They make it so easy to send video film and tapes. The finished product (DVD, Flash Drive, or Digital Download) is just like the originals! Love being able to watch old family movies in a flash. I had 5 film items transferred, and have 20 more Im sending over time.

I am so pleased with the service Southtree provided by converting old VHS tapes of my daughter when she was an infant to digital videos that I can save and preserve without fear of the tape wearing out and breaking! The quality is the same as the VHS and I can share the videos electronically. Had 2 VCR tapes...needed converting..extremely reasonable..packaging very good..within 2 weeks of them receiving i got the shipment back....8gb thumb drive for my order....mp4 files..played flawlessly and somewhat up converted..looks better than original..ty for my cherished memories brought to the 21st Century!! My tapes were lost in transit back to me. I was told I would receive another copy, but I did not and had to email them several times and thats when I was informed they had not back up my videos.

So far so good. Southtree had fulfilled their promise and service up to this point. I havent received my images back yet. I was impressed with the box that they sent out for packaging up the images that I sent back to them to be put on a thumbdrive and cds. Postage was prepaid. Pretty cool.

I purchased a Groupon years ago and forgot about it and not only did they honor it with no problem (I didnt think they were going to since it had been close to 7 years), the lady I spoke with was so help and nice. Customer care was exceptional! Nice to see a company that cares about the customer!

I suggest you use another service with better technology. Four of the tapes I paid for came out really bad even though I can watch them on my VCR perfectly fine. They would not offer me a refund or credit or the ability to send in another version on a different format. I really wanted to keep the video on those tapes, I will probably have to use one of their competitors like Legacy Box...

I issue a warning to anyone who seeks to use this company for the scanning of old media (negatives, film, VHS, etc.). Although apparently a good company with good service in the past, the COVID-19 era has led to extremely slow service - with no updates or reasons for the delay. Months will go by with nothing happening. Then when they do start work on your project - they will reject it for arbitrary reasons. For me, they rejected it because they said the type of plastic bag used to enclose the negatives did not meet their standards. I, am a rule follower, and if they had told me what type of plastic bag they wanted me to put my negatives in, I would have simply complied - MONTHS AND MONTHS AGO. Then, bad customer service. They tell me I will be allowed a credit for future business with them. Then further bad customer service - a phone call to the company - they explain that they will mail back my entire order and then allow me to move the negatives from one plastic enclosure to the plastic enclosure they preferred, and that I can send everything back for them to process. I am assuming in six to nine months from now. I wonder though then if they would find some other arbitrary reason for rejecting doing the work and keeping the money I paid. It is possible my experience is a complete outlier. The other reviews on here seem very favorable. I am jealous of those people. Such a let down for such an important project. I just hope they have not damaged my personal property. And I really hope they will send me back all of my personal property. Just terrible.

Overcharged twice. I purchase a Groupon for 40 items and I sent 38 items. I got a bill for 18 additional items. I didnt even send 40 items how can I be billed for an additional 18?Slow responses. Very disappointed. I would go elsewhere.Its really sad. even after I posted this review they say I did something wrong.Go elsewhere and save yourself some grief or worries that they will hold your memories hostage for an increased price. They will blame you and not them selves for the multiple mistakes they made along the way. I did not even go into the details of naming the media or the hoops I went through to finally get my order.

Excellent service. I got this service through Groupon and I had hundreds of old photos from my mom that I send in for scanning. They took about 8 weeks to get back, but they returned all of my photos and the scanned versions on a flash drive. I would highly recommend this service.

I have used ST twice and both experiences were amazing. They treated our old vhs etc. with care and returned the converted discs promptly.

To be fair, I have no comparisons to any other company. This is the first of my experience and I was apprehensive because I sent in our very first precious moments dating back to 1988. The process is so easy. Everything comes to you in a box that you send back to them that you get back with everything you ordered. All our old videos were bar coded. We got regular emails showing the progress of our order. You get an email when it’s done, shipped and arriving! Such a thorough company that was able to place my anxiety on hold. And the quality of our order was absolutely more than what I expected. The company even warned me about 2 of our videos that might have issues and yet they were able to transfer them onto our thumb drive with success. I was so pleased with their process that I doubled my next order. I have had no negative experience. Yes, give them a try. And prices are very affordable for this retiree!

I was really hoping to be able to give this company 5 stars, but because of poor customer service and mixing my video tapes up, I cannot. I had all of my Hi-8 tapes organized and labeled as to what was on them. When I got the tapes back they were all in different cases and not the way I had sent them in. When I called customer service the first time, I was on hold for 10 minutes and then they hung up. Called again, same thing. I think after 10 minutes of being on hold, they drop your call. When I finally got a hold of someone, he said, well, sometimes that happens. No apology or offer to make it right. As far as video quality, I compared them with a few I did on my own and the ones they did, seemed darker. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for. I may try another company for the rest of the videos I have.

Just received my first order from Southtree. Sadly, it will be the last. the quality of the product did not come close to meeting the hype mentioned on the website.My order was small - the digital scanning of fifty 35mm color slide transparencies. I figured that if the order turned out well, i would send in about 250 more. The website indicated my order would be processed by a skilled technician who would carefully scan and optimize each slide. Apparently the term technician is used loosely at Southtree.The quality of the scanning work was seriously substandard. Some of the images that were sharply focused on the slide were seriously blurred - some to the point of being worthless. In some instances, focus was inconsistent on the same slide. Other slides were scanned backwards-something that would be obvious to a technician who was actually checking his/her work as each image was scanned.The most serious deficiency was dust contamination. The slides that were returned to me were obviously cleaned of dust at some point. So it is unclear to me why there were so many dust spots on the finished scan files. Either the slides were cleaned AFTER the scan, or the scanning equipment, itself was contaminated. Many scanner manufacturers offer software that will mitigate much of the problem with dust spots. Southtree apparently doesnt offer this.Quality of Work - POORSpeed - POOR (It took two months to process the order)Communication - OKAY (emails were sent to advise processing steps)Recommendation to others - Find another vendor!

I had videotapes transferred to DVD’s.Easy process to place an order online. Once accomplished, you then receive your shipping box with simple instructions (important to read through), proceeding to label your items with provided labels as per your initial online order, pack everything up, use provided shipping label, and drop off at nearest UPS.Only confusion I had was about sending 6 tapes, instead of the quantities outlined in the online ordering process (5, 10, etc), but after calling Southtree, this is covered in the received instructions, with labels specifically for these additional items that would then be charged an additional rate. Ultimately I didn’t bother with the (6th) videotape.I had (4) VHS-C tapes, and (1) standard VHS. The box provided for shipping was huge in comparison to my order. Luckily had plenty of paper packing material from a couple of online orders, so used that, and wrapped my tapes in a small paper bag to secure them.The entire process took about 6 weeks from placing my order, receipt of the shipping box and instructions, packing up and sending out (did this the next day), then final receipt of my old tapes and dvd transfers. Southtree sent emails during the entire process, advising of order receipt, status and process.I’ve used Southtree about 4 times throughout the years for my parents old slides, films and videotapes, dating back to the early 1960’s. Now everything is digitized and stored both with DVD’s and downloaded/backed up on external hard drives. Worthwhile process!

Southtree does good work. I have received my first 24 video transfers of the 120 that I submitted in three batches. The videos look pretty good overall. One is rough quality, but they did contact me ahead of time to advise me of the poor source tape. Southtrees communication is very good. I appreciate the updates via email each time my order moves to the next step. I chose online download as my delivery method and that process is easy to follow. Overall, I give Southtree five stars. I have seen the quality of the nations largest department store as well as the quality of a national drug store for video transfers. Southtree far outshines these other less-expensive transfer services. With video transfers, you get what you pay for, so spend more and you will receive better quality. Southtree is competitively priced for their services and slightly less expensive than another company that advertises nationally. I am quite happy with the service so far. Seeing memories that I forgot I ever recorded -- that is truly a joy. Save your memories now before your video tapes degrade to a point where there cannot be recovered.

My experience with Southtree was amazing. I was nervous at first, sending one of items through the mail to some company Id had no prior interaction with. But soon all would be forgotten and all is good. I was initially told it could take up to 6 to 8 weeks to get my final product back. It took them 10 days to return my final product. Crazy!! I was super happy with the follow ups and the true professionalism from Southtree. I would have no problem using them again or telling anyone who asks about them. Great company and last but not least, the best value that I could find out there.

If I could give a 0 star I would. I purchased a groupon voucher and no where in the fine print did it say only one promo code could be used. Customer Service told me it was in there, but couldnt show me where exactly just said it should be in there. And they sent me to their article titled how to redeem groupon code (where is said one promo code) but who reads how to redeem the code before purchasing the code. So backwards! Their holiday pricing is also considered a promo code, so I was unable to apply my already purchased groupon code to the sale price. But NO where did it say that their sale price was a promo and their holiday sale price couldnt be combined with any other promo codes. I found this all out when I was in the checkout process and applied my groupon code and then the sale price disappeared!

I was pleasantly surprised that the quality was so good. My tapes were 13 years old and were beginning to skip. The shipping was made easy by Southtree. The videos were returned in reasonable time. I would definitely use them again.

Wanted to love this experience but it wasn’t great. Took over 6 or 8 weeks to get my items digitized and the quality is really REALLY disappointing. Some of the photos I sent were really high quality but came back so low quality Im going to have to send them elsewhere for digitization. Would not recommend Southtree.

After being impressed with their user-friendly website, I sent Southtree some 60-year-old film we found in my mothers cupboard. Communications throughout the process were excellent, as was the quality of the digitized film. It turned out one of the canisters I sent in was undeveloped, and they even helped me find a place to develop it. I would absolutely recommend this company.

Southtree handled decoding of our 50 year old Soviet era recordings very professionally. We were updated on the status after each step and they were very considerate with our request to accelerate the process due to time constraints we had. The results are amazing. I cant recommend them enough. Thank you Southtree!

If you need anything digitalized fast, they take 6-8 weeks to do it.

I was disappointed. It took two months after receiving my videos to start processing them, and then their careful expert transfer and enhancement took 1 day for 16 videos. Most of my videos had chunks I couldnt even make out. Im not saying they had a lot to work with necessarily, but I was expecting more for the price and assurances.

Stay away. This slick looking company doesnt even list that it doesnt copy Beta Cam tapes. It says it copies Beta, but doesnt simply specify this small but important exception.I mailed in three Beta Cam tapes and a few weeks later I got an email telling me they couldnt copy them. So I called in and asked for 2-day UPS shipping to get my irreplaceable tapes back to me as quickly as possible. The agent said no problem, charged my card, and I thought I was all set. Two days later, no package, only an email telling me I would have the package in 4 more days.So I called and spoke to a supervisor. She apologized profusely, promised an email follow up that day...nothing. No email, no call. Just a bunch of smoke and mirrors.Stay local, walk your tapes/photos in to a reputable store. Dont ship it to these people.

Although turn around time is long, Southtree is very clear about why. They are very careful and it all is done by hand. The submission and return of your items is very good and being able to see the home movies finally on a computer ( I chose a flash drive) is an absolute joy and worth the wait the the expense. The company also offers good discounts around holiday season!

This was the best gift I ever did for ME! I took all my old tapes and VHS FROM 87-2007 and had them transferred to DVD. They send you a box and it’s so easy to send it all back. It’s super fast too! Should have done it years ago.

Communication was excellent and the digital files and DVDs were done very well. You can see that their technicians were doing all they could to enhance the picture quality. Great job well done! Highly recommended!

I sent 3 old VHS tapes to Southtree after spending weeks trying to convert them on my own. I finally realized that I didnt have the right equipment to transfer my own videos without audio sync issues. The digital files came back looking and sounding great. My only regret is not trying them to begin with.

This service was fast. Setting up the tapes was easy to do following the simple directions. The price was great as was the honesty level due to the fact I sent a blank tape which THEY found and contacted me to give me options on how we deal with it.. My experience was great and I look forward to working with them again once the rest of the tapes are released from captivity.

So far.... ordered a box on April 21 which arrived over 2 weeks later after I called multiple times to track its progress. Sent things back immediately and it was received May 11. Its now June 24 and still it hasnt moved at Southtrees facility. Called yesterday for status and got nowhere other than an assurance from a manager that it has been expedited and should be done in 2 weeks.... that would make the entire process 11 weeks from start to finish, 9 of them in their facility even though their policy is 4-6 weeks according to what I was able to dig up on their site. I hope they get it together and return my stuff but right now I have little hope that they will come thru.UPDATE:: 2 weeks later and NOTHING NEW.. No news, no pics, no status updates... nothing! Its now been 13 weeks since 1st order and no sign of my movies being converted... only false promises by Southtree that I would have an expedited service after my last complaint. SORRY customer service and empty promises is all Ive seen of this outfit since April. I just want my original films back and a refund of my $130.... time to call the BBB.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed/surprised in the quality of my 8MM & VHS tapes that were converted to CDs. They were very fuzzy (all 9 of them). I wish I would have not spent the money cause Im debating on just tossing them. My kids can deal with the 8MM/VHSs of their childhoods when Im long gone. Lol

The company was responsive to my inquiries about the status of the job. All the pictures were scanned correctly and the originals were returned in perfect condition.

Just received my order back from Southtree and after quite a long wait (Covid?) I am appalled to see the poor quality of the job. I have sent Super 8 color films and what I got back is really far from the original. Dark, oversaturated and grainy and low resolution. I had the very same films scanned to DVD at Costco and the quality was far better. I cannot blame the original films since they are in very good shape. Frankly, I spend about $100 and was expecting a professional output. The files I got look like scanned with an amateur film scanner. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Really excited about this process and how everything turned out! it was really smooth and the customer service agent who spoke with me was very helpful. we sent in our film during a really busy time, in late november, so it took about a full six weeks to receive the finished product, but the wait was worth it!

Quite frankly this was not an inexpensive venture but being able to preserve my fathers slides from my childhood was well worth the cost. They tell the story of my life and now that so many family members have passed this was a great way to see those photos anytime I want by just putting my thumb drive into my computer and going back in time. I also put all 500 images on Facebook for my family, who are in many of the photos, to see and they all loved seeing beloved family members again. It was so much fun for all of us. Even people not in the photos were thanking me for sharing them. My daughter gave me this for Christmas and it is one of the best gifts I ever got. I highly recommend doing it.

I sent off film reels dating all the way back to the 1950s and just got the discs back in the mail today. It. is. amazing! The quality is superb (for what the reels are) and it was beyond easy to organize the reels and send them off. They came back in a timely manner and after watching about 10 minutes, I ordered again to have the rest of my film reels done. I was that excited! Literally have been wanting to get this done for 10 years. The other sites I looked at, charged by the foot and it was confusing and pricey! I highly, highly recommend Southtree. I couldnt be happier!

Southtree is an excellent and reasonably priced company to convert your video cassettes into DVDs. I used their services on or about 2013 and had no problem at all. They carefully protected and returned my originals. I would use them over and over again.

I sent quite a few tapes that started in 1992. I was extremely satisfied with how they turned out. You are also great about sending me status updates.

This isnt a cheap service however, it is convenient and easy to use. I had 21 home videos converted to CD and flash drive. I wish the long videos that had to be done on multiple disks due to space, were labeled like 1&2&3. I was unsure if they were additional copies or continuations. I had to write on the disc myself at that point. So I think with that price tag it should include even all the little things. Its not like your dealing with customers directly but instead providing valuable service to ensure memories are passed from digital generation on to digital generation. Also, the quality of the videos from the 90s were just as they were on the VCR tape. Probably not much can be done about that but it would be nice if they could have been digitally enhanced.

They perfectly transitioned memories my family and I hadn’t seen for decades into a watchable format. We all got together and watched just a few hours of the 50 tapes they digitized for us. I will say we were in zero rush whatsoever, but Southtree’s website suggests a 4-6 week cap, and our total process was closer to 4 months including shipping. We aren’t at all upset about this because we trusted them to handle our memories with care, and this timeframe may have been due to the fact that we sent 50 tapes. They even did something to make a very old and abused Hi-8 look quite watchable again. In all, I am beyond satisfied, and for the price I paid, I’d do it all again.

Highly recommend these folks. Had old Super 8 movies starting from 44 years ago and they converted all of them. The precious memories they put into digital format. Honestly had to cry seeing those that have passed on and young children that are now in their 40s and 50s. (and not saying how old I am!!!!)

Extremely slow and impersonal service. In 2015 could drop into the store in Chattanooga, discuss the order with employees and have the products avail in 1-2 weeks. My recent experience was completely different. There is no store-front and I had to have a package shipped to me and then ship my order back to them. I initiated the order Feb 3 2020, the order was received Feb 26 (I delayed shipping to them for 1-2 weeks) and received the final product April 25. Thats an 8 week turn-around!!. I was hoping to have this product available for viewing at a family reunion - luckily it didnt happen bc of CV-19.

THEY LOST MY FILMSI have used this companys film transfer services twice. The first time I was impressed by their system for scanning and reporting the progress of film transfer, and the results were excellent. The second - and final - time, I planned to gift my spouse several transferred films from his childhood. The short story is I sent 20 films and received 17 back; the three missing films were not transferred first, so they are gone for good. I strongly suspect that the tech processing my films ruined them and didnt report it. The company initially showed concern and remorse and promised to get to the bottom of this. I was promised they would ultimately contact other consumers whose films were processed at the same time, to see if they were mismailed. Gradually Southtrees contact decreased, with a final let me know if theres anything else I can do for you, sentiment. When I told them they could refund at least a portion of my payment, I was ignored. I implore others to reconsider using this company and be advised that Legacy Box is part of the same group. Irreplaceable films containing memories of lost days are too precious to be mishandled with no consequences on their part.

I had 250 very old slides converted to digital photos. The initial conversion resulted in about half of the pictures being so overexposed, they were basically useless. I contacted customer service and they were very helpful, friendly, and prompt. I explained what happened, showed examples of original slide quality and the overexposed digital conversion. They sent me a return label to return my slides and they reprocessed them free of charge. The turn around time on the reprocessing was only a couple of days and the result was amazing. The digital conversion of the slides turned out as I expected. Now we have old family photos to share with extended family for years to come. Thank you Southtree. I would highly recommend this company for converting old media.

The process of shipping the tapes was easy. The product that we got back was just okay. The DVDs were just in paper sleeves. According to an email, one of my tapes I sent was poor quality, but they never indicated which one. So, it could have been any of them, and they all didnt seem very good quality. I guess you get what you pay for. Cheap price, so cheap quality.

Have had several VHS and mini VHS tapes converted. Great service and they keep you updated every step of the way. Also, the most economical I’ve found either locally or online. Wish shipping price would vary depending on items being sent. Other than that, very satisfied!

Well, Im 65+ days in and nothing back yet...I can update with more info. It took about 3 weeks to even get acknowledgement of the order. I will say that recently, I get automated feel good emails that my items are in process. However, that doesnt give me a warm and fuzzy. I had an expedited card that was to provide service in 5-6 days. My emails I get are basically like Bob ate a sandwich and hes thinking about the box of tapes you sent in Update. The next email is The box of tapes moved from the left side of Bobs desk to the right side I mean seriously? I tried chatting with rep and there is really no help to be had. Paid a lot of money and was sold snake-oil and now concerned with all of the terrible reviews, they may close up shop and I will never see my tapes again.The excuse is Covid. Covid. Covid. Ive done video transfer before. You literally dont need to be anywhere close to anyone else.You know, this is their entire business model. To take memories from people and preserve them. Not make new ones. The new memory I have is the pain and suffering this whole experience has been. Ridiculous!

Having never used a service like this before, I was concerned that the process would be difficult and timely. Boy was I wrong! The entire process was so easy and relatively quick given the number of VCHS tapes we had. The best part was how Southtree kept me updated via email every single step of the way. It was comforting to know that they treated my treasured tapes just as though they were their own! A couple of videos were damaged, so they quickly refunded me the amount for those tapes. Talk about amazing service! Southtree, you rock! Thank you for the memories!

I sent old tapes that I hadnt been able to see for years. I am very happy with my experience with southtree. They have a very smooth operation set up. I got my box, everything is instructed clearly, shipping is prepaid. They communicated with me during the process, I always knew where my tapes were and what part of the process we were on. They were fast, and not expensive. I recommend 100%. Thank you!

The service logistic, general support and quality was good, but it was difficult to actually understand the real cost of the per photo conversion to make a comfortable purchase decision. The memory card with the photos was about 80$, it was unclear to me if I could have a simpler delivery on line avoiding this charge instead

We were very pleased with the quality and speed of service that we received when we needed our tapes digitized. Southtree did a fantastic job and they were extremely transparent throughout the entire conversion process offering emails with every step. Highly recommend!!!

Their system of preparing your media for shipment and scanning is user friendly and leaves little room for error. My converted files were great - some of the VHS tapes I sent were 30 years old, and the slides almost as old. My only negative would be that sometimes their communication was lacking. My package was delivered but I had no idea that it was being sent. But overall - Id definitely recommend!

Dont use this company! My family videos which were of my father n law who has passed away were lost. I have contacted this company multiple time and even spoke with a manager who tell me that they we look into this and call me back. They dont call back. I am still trying to find my videos. I had to contact UPS myself. Southtree has no interest in helping me find the videos. I will never be able to replaces my videos and this company could care less. No one there that I spoke with even cares. I cant believe a paid them to lose my family videos.

The process was easy. Just use the scantron labels on each item to be processed. I used Baggies for bunches of 50 slides. Filled the box with 8mm movies and had everything converted to one memory drive. You have plenty of time to decide what you want to process. I will definitely use them again

It was supposed to be a $14.99 deal from Groupon, but ended up costing another $10. for a thumb drive of my photos and $10. shipping cost for only 50 slides I sent in for transfer. They came out beautiful, but the huge box they sent me was ridiculous. A smaller box would have saved me some money I think. After reading the companys response, thank you for the refund !

I was not at all happy with Southtree. It took them more than 3 months for them to send me the digitized copies. They could not track my supplemental payment for extra tapes until I asked them about delivery. The order number could never be found on their website for tracking progress. I have to write to them every time. On the plus side, they were responsive but there was little information content in their emails.I will never use their service again.

Video came out fine. Communication was fine, but they do not advertise that they cant convert audio on 8mm. Check your film to make sure yours does not contain audio. They told me after I paid and sent it in that they cant convert the audio on their equipment, now I have to send my Super8mm to another company for them to convert video AND audio on the 8mm reel.
