Sensei Green is a wonderful instructor and cares so much about his students. He is very patient and so great with all ages. They really want all of their students and parents to feel apart of the family.

My son has been talking about karate for a while..since his school did it one day a week and then did away with it. I was looking into it just to see if he would like it. We came across Greens karate. Corey and I went back and forth one weekend and he told me about the try out sessions. One session in and my little was hooked. Corey is absolutely fabulous! He’s so patient with the kids and he really listens to any concerns that a parent has. Before starting karate my little was just.. “entitled”. Since he’s started karate he has completely changed! He helps around the house. His attitude is more of the “I can” rather than the “I can’t “. And his manners... man... he is not the same kid. I am for ever grateful for leaping into this! Also! The other parents and kids are pretty awesome as well.

My son is seven he started 3 weeks ago and absolutely loves his teacher and the kids in his classes. Price wise its dead on competitive with other martial arts buisnesses in our area. Every time we go to class theres something new thats been worked on and improved upon so along with great teachers we get to be a part of the dojo coming together. Wonderful place to send your boy or girl learn karate.

We are having an amazing experience with Greens Karate. You can really notice that our kid is way more calm and confident. The school has a really peaceful, friendly and family environment. Highly recommend.

This is the only traditional Karate school I have found and the instruction is top quality. I can not say enough about my experience training here. Only reason I am leaving is job change and a move out of town. Many people do not realize Karate is a Japanese martial art and most, if not all, places in Chattanooga advertise Karate but do not teach Karate. Sensei Green teaches Shito Ryu, which is a Karate style recognized by the Olympics. You will not get this anywhere else!! Highly recommend!!

Not only is my daughter learning self-defense, but she became alot more focused at school, and at home. Kids needs discipline, and if they can learn it while learning to defend themselves, even better :-) . Huge thanks to Sensei Green.

Sensei Green is absolutely the best instructor. Weve been taking lessons from him for almost 3 years, now, and plan on continuing well into our black belts.

I first heard about Sensei Greens dojo in a flyer at a doctors office. I asked my mom if I could go to a class, and I regret nothing. Ive been going ever since. Ive been at the dojo somewhere around four months, and Im loving it. Sensei Green is a great instructor on traditional, authentic, Olympic karate. The style he teaches is Shito Ryu, and he doesnt just give out belts, like some other dojos do. Its a challenging class, and you cant just learn it overnight. All in all, Greens Karate is a great place to learn, and has made history (literally!) multiple times.

Sensei Green is a dedicated and effective teacher for all ages and abilities. He focuses on learning correct fundamentals using strategies that this college professor finds remarkably innovative. He is an active in his professional organization (USA-NKF) and regularly takes his students to compete (and win!). Check out his lineage--he is a student of Katsutaka Tanaka, the current chairman of the USANKF and regularly hosts visits from Sensei Tanaka. In addition to the benefits of traditional karate training, I wanted my son to develop the confidence to controll and stop a fight. One thing that I particularly appreciate is that even young children engage in realistic sparring (with lots of protective gear) under tournament-like conditions. You can even train with your child if you wish.
