I’m from Asheville North Carolina, and I came to Dunlap Tennessee to visit about a week ago. I lost my key fob to my 2008 Lexus IS 250 and had no way to get into my car or a spare to use. I called every locksmith in my hometown once I got a ride back home and nobody could help me. The Lexus dealership was going to charge me an outrageous price for the same work Matt did for me. I decided to call him because he was one of the closest locksmiths to my car. He ordered two keys for me and originally told me, like the other businesses had told me, that unfortunately my car was made during the 2008 tsunami in Japan and that one of the fobs wasn’t going to program to my car due to the year of my car being made in two different factories. I ordered both fobs knowing one of them was going to be useless. My mom and I drove down the day after they were delivered to him. We had a 4 hour drive to where I left my car in Tennessee and we got into town earlier than expected. Matt met us 2 hours before my scheduled appointment time and programmed BOTH of my key fobs that I ordered. It took a while and was more complicated than Matt and I expected but now I have an UNEXPECTED spare key fob because he was somehow able to program both of them. Matt was very professional, nice, wore a mask and practiced safe social distancing. I was very pleased with this business and if I ever need another locksmith he would be someone I would call. I highly recommend this company and Matt for his amazing work!!

Keys went missing and I needed a late afternoon rekey of my vehicle. I was hoping the original set would be located by Lyft, so I held out til about 5p.m. thanks to the scheduling options with Shield Locksmith. Not only was the fellow on time but he was amazingly quick to reset the lock mechanism and cut me a new key. Professional, speedy, and mobil. What more could you need? Absolutely worst lock and key business I have ever used in my life. Waited 6hrs not a big deal really.... Except the excuses.... Then gets here breaks my lock with a screwdriver wants $90 .... Didnt fix didnt change the lock nothing but opened and broke the lock with a flathead. Highly recommend not to use them.

Car locked and keys in my house NO WHERE to be found. Before I called Shield I called another locksmith here in Chattanooga and they wasn’t able to give me a time someone would be able to come. Office called me back and asked if I could get a ride to their office and call the Kia dealer to get the key code and if I did all this it would be cheaper and save me time. I seemed to be an inconvenience to them. Problem with this is if I had a ride I wouldn’t need someone to open my car.
