Evans was always so kind and accommodating. We were displaced for 8 months and they allowed us to come whenever we needed any of our things and were super helpful in finding it all too!

Very organized with clothes (for example all ties in one box, pants in another box and bed sheets in another box, etc!) wow! I loved the way they fold the men’s underwear! I dare not to touch them, too pretty and organized! I would recommend their service! Extraordinary job!

Emergency attire was returned to us professionally cleaned in less than 48 hours and all other clothing, rugs, bedding, and towels were returned in a week. I highly recommend Evans to anyone needing professional cleaning and restoration work done! They were called in after a fire at our home, and much of the contents needed to be cleaned. Their responsiveness and quality has been outstanding, and any issues we had were totally resolved. Considering that most people needing their services arent in the best frame of mind (having experienced fire or water damage), they approach the situation with patience and respect and a true desire to get it right.

Experienced house fire in June. Evans Garment of Chaska, MN was right there taking all clothing, bedding and linens for their cleaning and smoke abatement. House took time to rebuild and Evans stored all our belongings. Went to their location to retrieve winter attire and staff was very friendly and helpful. The day we moved back home, Lisa and Justin were professional and efficient and thoroughly caring of our belongings during delivery. I would highly recommend Evans to anyone who experiences a fire tragedy in their home.

We had a severe sooting problem at our house. Every surface, including in closets and in cupboards, had a layer of soot. Every soft item in the house had to be removed and cleaned. Evans Restoration to the rescue. They were extremely efficient, and when the house was cleaned everything was brought back again, boxed or bagged. There were a LOT of boxes, each one labeled with contents and a code. We couldnt find one particular item, so we called and they said it should be in box X, and sure enough, there it was. I WAS IMPRESSED. Would definitely recommend and use again if needed.

If you are reading this it’s probably to late like myself. This is the definition of a scam company!! In my situation my insurance had them come in the day after a minor garage fire and they took Everything! If it could be cleaned they took it. Down to the 4 garbage bags full of Goodwill clothes and rubber mats. My wife stopped them before they got to the mattress... We were told that they (Evens) would inventory everything and then we would tell them what to clean. Mind you the fire was in the garage and none of the bedrooms were effected by smoke otherwise why would the fire inspector say it was safe for my one year old to sleep there the night of the fire... Evens went ahead without approval from myself or my insurance and cleaned everything they took and slapped us with a $13,000 bill. My clothes are maybe worth $2,000.What’s really funny is all their star ratings are 1 or 5 LOL. Maybe the owner should ask her friends to toss in a 4 star once in a while so it’s not so obvious.

I had a small fire a few months ago and just getting to this review now. Evans was highly referred from our contractor. They were courteous and informative in our time of need. Our clothing was taken care of from start to finish. I was relieved that our stuff was returned in such great condition. No smoke odor, and I have asthma, so any smoke smell bothers me. Our claim went smoothly and Evans was able to answer all my questions. They surpassed my expectations and is likely why they have been in business this many years.

UPDATE: Clothing returned after ransom was paid.MN Attorney General Keith Ellingston contacted and they are interested in this company since there have been aomilar complaints in recent months.Never presented an inventory when returning my things they were just thrown on a pile no regard for the contents.Attorneys are being notified in my parents situation just this month. Took everything from the house without approval or a single sheet of paper. (stolen) now asking $2500 to return it.This will get ugly.

I am Very upset I had a house fire back in Aug they came in and threw my stuff in bags like it was trash..No inventory or pictures before they removed my things now months later and they are trying to fight me on things they TOOK and never returned trying to tell me and say they never had those things.I KNOW WHAT I OWN and some of the things I noticed right away .They took everything that was in my upper level all the way to my basement door. I am missing things I had in Each room ,closet my linen closet and the hanging place to my basement.They are trying to offer me 1/4 of the value of these things some had tags still on them .and the cost of 2 items total the amount they want to pay me for all of my things .I DO NOT LIE they TOOK MY STUFF ,I want it all back or the total value of what is missing

Do not give this company your business. They will lie to you every step of the way. You will also never receive an actual itemized inventory of everything they take from your house, leaving you with no way to determine if they actually return all your property. Find a better company that cares about their clients.

I have worked with Evans Garment restoration over the years and find them prompt, professional, and fair. Keep in mind if you are using any company to rescue personal items from disaster that not all items CAN be restored. These people seem to do their best to make the most of a difficult situation. Good people, expert service.

Because of a sooting problem, every article of clothing we owned, every suitcase, etc. needed to be removed from the home. We marked some items as emergency that were returned the next day so we had clothes to wear. When everything was returned, after house restoration was done, we couldnt find a couple of specific items - but not to worry: we called and were told the items we were looking for were in Box xyz, and it was. How they cataloged all that stuff is beyond me. Very efficient. VERY PLEASED.

Evans Garment Restoration is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. They are supposed to be professional garment cleaners. Several garments were ruined, This professional cleaner washed wool items so they are now 1/2 the normal size, rendering them useless. They damaged down coats, ruined several dresses that are now unwearable. Heirloom sweaters are now ruined. Many of the items can not be replaced because of the sentimental value. The also removed tags from collectible items. They charged our insurance company almost $12,000 to clean and store items for 2 people. And they have the audacity to complain that we back-charged them for the items damaged. DONT USE THIS COMPANY, YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF CLEANING THE ITEMS YOURSELF.

After my house fire, if that wasnt bad enough, they trashed my home pulling stuff out, even more than it was. They ruined all my down items, all my wool items, two homemade quilts, and a brand new Jean jacket. They tried to pass off as cleaned clearly fire damaged items. And they still all my curtain pins... All 85. Seriously they shouldnt be in business.

They are horrible to work with they bleached ALL of our close and they are all discolored and stains and every thing and Kristy said that they were not discolored or anything there were not appt on them but yet we send her pics of it and she said that was already there but they were not! They are a super non legit company that is horrible

My insurance company was shocked and they stole my bed

I have had a terrible experience with Evans. They have lost a large portion of my things, they are unorganized and unreliable. They went into my house and took all of my textiles and then told my restoration company that they had spoken with me, which was a lie. I want my things back and they continually refuse to do that without permission from my insurance. They basically forced me into letting them restore everything (to the tune of $6000) by saying my insurance wouldnt cover any textiles unless I let them try to restore them first. so displeased. I wish I would have had an opportunity to choose my own garment restoration company. I would have chosen one where the people care about people and not just about fleecing insurance companies.
