They did not finish the set up of my wifi after 2 months into my lease and left it all unhooked up and the panel in my closet open. It took many calls to get any admission of fault in which they said they would come and fix it. It took over a week to get them to get back and finish what they started. Absolutely horrible experience and they still left it set up in a manner in which the contents of the panel wouldnt fit so I had to get the building to help me as Ting was incompetent on this front. Overall, the wifi itself has been very inconsistent and the 5g is consistently going on and off. It has been a very bad experience and I do not recommend the service.

Customer service with Ting has always been their strong suit. Human, responsive, kind. But today it went to a whole new level. Due to a hack, Id canceled all of my credit cards and am now waiting to receive replacements. Those have been delayed by the weather and my automated billing with Ting, not surprisingly failed. I contacted Ting to explain the situation, only expecting a few days grace. Instead they credited the account as paid. No worries until the next billing cycle.

Promised to have available bandwidth in my area two years in a row but failed. Until their management can significantly improve their logistical issues and customer service, they will be third rate and overtaken by their competitors

After working through their website, doing a phone interview to set up installation, Ting calls the day before installation to say according to the local manager they have reached capacity in my neighborhood. They are an internet service provider, how have they not integrated their service capabilities into their website? Not to mention how can this company survive if they can’t add capacity? This experience has destroyed any confidence in their company and product.

This company can even come to our house to help fix the problem and they say they cant do anything about it. They also leave me on hold multiple times for 40 mins. Not a goodCompany at all

My next door neighbor has Ting and is satisfied. However, when I reached out to Ting to sign up as well they told me that they were not able to provide me service and that they didnt know when they would be able to. No ETA or anything. Just that they would reach out when they could. I asked to speak with someone that could help me with a ROUGH ETA and they said to basically just wait until I hear from the construction team. Not sure what that means. This is frustrating because I have no expectation of when it could arrive, and frustrating because my neighbors have the service, so I know they service my area. When will it come? Next month, next year? This is feeling like Comcast all over again.

I have had nothing but stellar experiences with Ting. I had previously used them in a condo I rented that provided Ting as the provider. Last year I moved into my home and used Xfinity. That was fine for a year but the speeds were certainly missed. I finally decided to have Ting installed into my home. I researched while away on business and there was a promotion for waived installation. Once I returned home from my travels the promotion was gone, however, a brief call to the office had that easily remedied even though they did not have to. The communication between the representatives, installers, and myself is impeccable. The installers I worked with for two different visits were very cordial, respectful, and had my homes best interest in mind. I cannot say enough good things about this company and how they operate.

Seriously, if you are not on Ting and you are able to be on Ting you are missing out. We have been on ting for a few years (yes Im late to the review game) but every time I call with an issue, it is fixed in 5 min and usually my fault. They are amazing. I give them 10 stars.

My Ting experience has been nothing short of spectacular. Their support is great (you reach a real human immediately, and theyre knowledgeable and helpful), and I routinely hit very close to the theoretical max dl/ul throughput (~960 Mbps) with a direct Ethernet connection to my desktop machine. Best ISP Ive ever had, and light-years ahead of Comcast at competitive prices. Wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in Charlottesville!

I waited anxiously for Ting to extend service to my neighborhood and am underwhelmed after receiving it. For installation, the central office would provide a time to expect their crews to arrive. Crews arrived the day before schedule unannounced and started tromping around my property, freaking out my family. This happened on two different occasions. When I mentioned this to their customer service, Kevin C. tried to frame this as a customer issue by apologizing that the fiber construction process was not properly explained to [me] instead of taking responsibility for poor communication between the office and crews and owning their mistake. Thats weak. The service is not much better than what I received from Comcast and Im paying $50 more per month. I have to reset my modem at least weekly as well so that my speeds dont tank so theres more manual upkeep to add to a busy schedule. Overall, I wouldnt recommend switching to Ting unless youre a hardcore online gamer. You dont need these speeds to stream in home--your current ISP is properly already providing them. You DEFINITELY wont be receiving 1,000 MBPS if youre using a wireless router like 95% of us for whole house internet coverage. I average 150 down/200 up on a good day with a brand new router recommended by Ting.

Very unreliable, lightning fast on rare occasions, but usually mediocre throughput. Always expensive, always terrible customer service and if I hear We are working on upgrading the network in your area one more time I am going to scream, but they wont hear me because customer service is non-existent.

We had Ting during our time living at a downtown Charlottesville area apartment. It was the best internet company we have ever had service from. Everyone we interacted with at the company was friendly and professional (installer and customer service) and the internet speeds were incredible. We run a home business and also do quite a bit of online gaming. We never experienced any lag whatsoever with Ting and downloads/uploads were so quick!Unfortunately, we moved into a home outside of the Ting service area. We are eagerly waiting their expansion to our area of Charlottesville so that we can have internet service with them again!

We have had the Ting internet for years and are very happy with it. There had=s been zero downtime, it always passes the internet speedtest. It is SOOOO much better that the DSL I was getting from Centrylink.

They create problems and tell you then thats your fault and they cannot help you.I live in Holly Springs NC and have this crazy fast internet, which worked not as promised but with 350 mbps.Until yesterday, my internet slowed down to 0.5 Mbps, called customer service and did all kind of testing, as instructed, for about an hour, then they sent an technician (according to them). He did 3 hours of speed test, then told me that he doesnt know what it is. Nice guy, but not really much of knowledge for the job. After he left, I called customer service and did another hour testing as instructed, then was promised a senior technician will be here this morning at 8 am.You can already guess what happened, nobody was here, until 9:30 am.Nice guy, did everything he could, but finally he gave me his supervisor on the phone and that one told me that there is nothing they can do, the problem would be my PCs because they only support 2.4 g.So until yesterday, everything works fine and today, my computer is to slow. I mean they are 2 month old, of course. They hardwired my computer now with a cable over my entire hallway, open on the second floor and an emergency solution is for them the final solution.Very poor to tell me that 10 Mbps for a 1 GB connection would be acceptable. Will see, especially since working remotely and experienced financial damage.Awful !!
