Dropped it with no explanation. We attempted to work with Schnitzhofer & Associates with regards to our home addition. At first, they seemed great. As we started working our payment and details, they suddenly just said it was a bad fit with no explanation, wasting valuable time since now we had to start again at square 1 with lots of rain coming in soon.

As for expectations, be careful what you expect from an expert like Schnitzhofer. They are apparently not expert enough to be able to evaluate accurately when beginning from a flawed assumption, even if given that flawed assumption by a homeowner who is definitely not knowledgeable about the issue at hand. Inaccurate information only results in an inaccurate structural report. Schnitzhofer is apparently not expert enough to be able to recognize what is and is not accurate information regarding structure and construction. If you have blueprints they are probably great at evaluating those, but if not, you might as well get any random person with a basic construction background to give you a structural inspection. It will probably be the same result.
