It was Route 7 (Bus 117) from Fashion Square around 11 AM to Downtown Transit Station at 12:30 PM. I was supposed to get off where I live at the Barracks Rd Transfer Point. But as I was gathering my things, the driver took off and I almost feel, and even though several people were shouting to stop the driver kept going. There wasnt any reasonable way the driver couldnt have heard me...That having been said... take it from someone who has personally been dead before - time is your most valuable thing in life. Aside from Knowledge, Wisdom, Friends, and several other thing, its time which is one of your most valuable things in life. Yes, the other side is great, yes, you can reincarnate ... but thats not here, now, in this life, and time is your most valuable thing, and so it should be managed wisely. Today, this driver took my time... Look, I get it, the driver (in spite of everyone shouting loud enough to wake the dead, no pun intended and jokes aside) probably just made an honest mistake and wasnt paying attention, or simply was in a bad mood. I dont know... and my advice is if there is a passion theyd rather pursue or career theyd rather be happier in then I would encourage their pursuit of that.I am not mad, I am still considerably frustrated. Please, try to do better next time... I get it, were all human, but we just need to try harder.EDIT: I am also having typed this up on my phone at the DTS because I was going to ride it there and submit my complaint in person, only to find the DTS cooked or closed or whatever. So I am having to spend time riding back and I didnt even submit this in person. But whatever...

Alot of the drivers are rude, disrespectful and will make any excuse not to stop and pick up passengers. The bosses are obviously not much better because they cant fill their staff so they just randomly stop running busses without telling anyone. They have also repeatedly driven right past me when I was sitting at the bus stop.Absolutely avoid giving them any money. They will keep it and leave you stranded.Matt who drives route 5 almost ran me over one day because I practically jumpped in front of the bus because he was obviously going to try to drive right past me again, and that was the last bus of the night. He then proceeded to yell and cuss at me for over 10 minutes while the rest of the bus stared uncomfortable and silent. Also, the new schedule has some of the busses coming at random times, instead of the same time every hour... And apparently they cant even stick to their own idiotic schedule. These people are either totally incopentant, or intentional theves.1 star. But only because negitive five isnt an option.Whoever is in charge needs to be fired

Buses are chronically late, or never even show up. I have lived in Charlottesville for several years now and it has always been the same. Service has been reduced during the pandemic, with city buses from the hospital now only running every hour in the afternoon. This makes getting home from work very challenging for hospital employees. The drivers also scare me with their driving habits. Frequently driving over the speed limit on residential roads, failing to stop completely, and hitting the brakes so hard that I have to brace myself on the handrails. Without seatbelts, I view this as a safety issue.

I spent over 40 years in mass transit managing and operating transit systems throughout the United States and can honestly say that this system has some major problems. It is totally unacceptable to repeatedly put out notices that service will not operate at certain times and certain locations. In a City with a major University I cannot understand this seemingly poorly operated system.

Skipped an entire route because they didnt have a driver. First of all, what is the point of a schedule if you you dont stick to it. Second, that effects peoples life when you just decide to skip a route. That means it takes longer to get to or from work. This is totally unexceptable and the second time for the same route at the same time that this has happened. Tighten up.

Generally reliable and on time. Busses are often way too cold during the summer.
