Got my haircut + scalp treatment by Stephanie today and I absolutely loved it! She was super nice and professional and made me feel very comfortable during my appointment. After me trying to do a wolf-cut on my own that I saw on tiktok and messing it up she fixed it for me :) I plan on returning in the future :)

I was in the Charlotte area, and desperately wanted a haircut on a Sunday. It was nearly impossible to find a salon that was open on a Sunday, so I was really glad they were. I went in for a big chop. From long hair to a short bob. It really does make a girl feel good when the entire salon is hyping you up! The staff was great, the stylist was great, the salon was stylish, overall this is a great salon. They did an amazing job on my haircut. If I’m in the area again I would definitely come here.

Not gonna lie, the if they cant do something or they feel like that they cannot take a challenge they should say that at the beginning, they did my hair, and it looks good, but out of the 3 ladies that did my hair, 2 of them where just unprofessional when it come out about treating your costumer good, they just care about easy hair, they didnt even know how to start brushing my hair, so I had to do it my self, and then I Spent almost 3 hours listening to their complaints about how difficult my hair was... like if you didnt wanted to do it, just say that from the beginning, I dont care finding someone else thats not gonna treat me that way. The receptionist was really kind and the 3rd lady actually tried to give me advices on how to take care of my hair, and told me what type of productshe I should and shouldnt use... I honestly dont think I will be back soon, unless its for this nice lady. If you have a short and easy hair you can go, but if youre curly or with thick hair, I wouldnt recommend going there

Pur Salon is 5 minutes from my home. Decided to give them a try back in June since I was unhappy with my stylist who never wanted to try any drastic changes to my hair color. This is when I met Haley M. AND am so glad I did! She gave me the color I wanted and every time I go now am super pleased with the results. She is the best and am so glad I found her. I got my hair color treatment with PUR Salon on July 27. After few hours of the color treatment, my scalp started feeling itchy. As the night turned in, I had an itchy scalp, redness and rashes on back of my ears, neck, forehead and surrounding skin. Next morning, I woke up with my head double the actual size, my ears swollen and could not open my eyes due to swelling all over my face and head. I had to be rushed to ER. I have included some pics here, so people know that this is real. I had 3 consecutive visits to ER since, hospitalized for 4 hours as the swelling was not getting reduced and my eyes were close to shutting down. My ER Doctor said it is a chemical reaction. I could not work during this time and I am sitting over a huge medical bill due to this chemical reaction caused by their hair color treatment.Here is my reason for this review after almost 5 months. When I had this reaction on my skin, I called PUR Salon the very next day to tell them that I got this severe reaction due to their hair color treatment and wanted to know what color and ingredients they used on my hair. This is what they had to say.Lady picks up, tells me she is sorry to hear that I got a reaction to their hair color treatment. I then ask her to tell me what color was used. She says they used Matrix. I then request her that I need the hair color ingredient details for the treatment done. She responds saying she will check and will be back. She came back saying that her manager wants me to call in the morning the next day when her Manager would be in the office to make sure it is the hair color that caused the reaction. What? I am sitting here with a severe reaction caused by the hair color treatment and you are telling me to wait another day. And for the color information she gave me earlier, she says, we used Aveda on your hair and not Matrix. what? I am surprised to see that a salon with so much popularity does not know what color they use on their customers? Or it did not matter to them to check and be sure before they confirm to their customers. It comes with no surprise that I was handled with same negligence during my color treatment. I then asked her the hair color details for that Aveda product and she said she will check and call me back with the information. I waited the entire day and no one called back.Now I called the next day. Someone picks up, I asked the same ques again that I need the product details for the hair color treatment that was done. This was my third consecutive call to them just to get the product details. I was sitting here with this swollen head and medical treatment that continued for weeks and not to mention the medical bills that I am still receiving till date and with their customer service attitude, I have no hopes. And yeah, the manager did send the color details with a disclaimer that it was not their hair product and they never has anyone with this sort of reaction. Well, treat this as your first. This hair color treatment at PUR Salon was my worst nightmare. I never had any issue with any hair color before this.I wanted people to be aware of their neglect in handling their customers and so I posted this review. I believe all these positive reviews are just a hype as they dont even follow the basic standards. I have also included few pictures here showing the reaction I had to the color treatment at this Salon.

Haley did a fantastic job! She got the hairstyle just right for what I asked for and also did a little beard trimming as well. I will definitely be using them again! 5 star service all the way!

I wish there was a way to post the pictures. The lady did not listen to me at all when I was trying to tell her how I wanted my hair. The color is not what I asked for. I told her many times I want the bottom half of my hair solid blonde like a ombre. But I want to top of it kind of balayaged. I didn’t want that blunt ombré look…. Tried to explain to her that this picture that I’m showing her just shows how I want the top of my hair. But she didn’t listen and kept telling me this is what the picture is. Im doing it like the picture you showed me. It looks like I have highlights. My hair is so uneven. She literally just chopped it. $326 later n im having to go pay someone else to fix it. To top it off the front Desk lady on the phone said you get 20% off for first time clients. She only gave me 10%. I don’t know what this lady‘s name is sadly that did my hair.

I noticed that for some reason my one star review that I posted last year got deleted not sure by whom. I went there last year and scheduled an appointment with a stylist. I also went there months prior and both times that I went they were always late on starting the hair appointment and were doing someone elses hair. It happened both times that I went there. You have to wait an additional 30 minutes to an hour wait from the time that the appointment is scheduled. I also read in other comments that the same thing happened to them. Thats not really professional. I always like a trim and only get 1-5 inches trimmed. I scheduled an express cut. This stylist that wasnt on the site I was told her name was Erin cut my hair in an express cut appointment that I scheduled. My hair was up to my hips and then after she cut it was an inch below my shoulders. I also noticed there were uneven strands of hair when I got home. That wasnt what I asked for. I told her that I would like 5 inches trimmed. Not to mention that it was an express cut and it was trimmed within 10-15 minutes. Very disappointed. The manager also told me she didnt like the way I approached it by posting a one star review and then asking for a refund. Its ok that she didnt like the way I approached it but as someone in her role being professional is important and because she didnt like the way I approached it she said whatever to my face and her attitude was unprofessional. If someone was in my shoes they would feel disappointed and would probably post a one star review and would like a refund. Also, most of these five star reviews are because the salon offers a discount if you give them 5 stars. Its true the first visit they hand me a pamphlet that had the discount if I gave them 5 stars. I recommend going to another salon.

The individual that was trimming my hair absolutely butchered my hair. I had no idea how bad it was until I had friends in town and someone pointed it out. So embarrassing! It was uneven, unflattering and not what I had asked for. I’ve had to start intense hair masks to repair, build and grow my hair besides going to another salon that could try to fix it. After a few months and trims to try and blend it it’s still not right. My first layer is so short and for some reason I have 3 layers. Like you can count them (that’s how bad it was). The new salon I went to questioned what had happened and if I did it myself. I said nope! They felt so bad that they offered not to charge me but I insisted bc it wasn’t their fault. The lady that was trying to fix it said the first layer was so bluntly short that I should consider cutting my hair into a bob short to start over or get extensions to hide the problematic areas. I literally wanted to cry. I’ll never go here again and will never suggest it to anyone. Lesson learned. When I had called this salon to let them know what had happened they said for me to come in so she can fix it. Uhhhh no thank you. If she couldn’t get it right the first time, why would I think she would get it right the second time? I hate leaving reviews but feel like people should know. The only positive thing I will say is there’s several very nice individuals that work there. The stylist name started with a “T” she is considered a “master stylist “ and it was back in August I think when I was there last. I’m not looking for her to get in trouble, I just will not be going back and this includes seeing a different stylist.

I get my haircuts with Tahira and I am very satisfied. She can take my vague instructions to sculpt my hair into a handsome style. Everyone in the shop is friendly and helpful. I will be coming back for years to come.During COVID time, they also have a very good screening and contact tracing protocol.

Ive been using Tahira at Pur Salon for about 4 months. Pur Salon is very friendly and careful with Covid precautions, taking temps when you come in and enforcing face masks. The stations are pretty far apart which is nice. Tahira does a wonderful job in styling hair to fit your features. I dont even have to blow my hair after washing and it looks great and stylish. All the stylists seem to work together well, which makes for a pleasant experience.

I went there for the first time today and could not be happier! Emily did my hair and was fantastic! She listened to exactly what I wanted with my hair and ran with it; I would go back and recommend to anyone in a heart beat! Was such a great hair cut for the cost as well :) super happy!

She took her time with me to make sure she knew what I wanted the first time, she talked me through what she would be doing first and what it was going to look like at the end, and finally she was kind and conversational. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the opportunity to visit the salon because the person answering the phone was so rude and condescending. I called to make an appointment and asked about timing for just a cut vs cut and lowlights because I only have so much time to spend in a salon chair, and I’ve been to some places that take far longer than others for the same services. Instead of answering my question, she began to tell me she needs to know what I want done before she can make my appointment. As I was trying to explain what I was asking, she cut me off by speaking loudly over me while I was talking. She did this twice before I thanked her for her time and politely ended the call. This salon has great reviews and is close to my house. I was excited to go, but I won’t support a business that speaks to customers that way. There are plenty of other options.

Came to PUR Salon on May 12th for “Prom Hair” I showed the stylist Stella a picture of the loose curls I wanted. She kept mentioning that I have a lot of hair and it wasent going to look the exact same as it did in the reference picture. Stella curled my hair with a straightening iron and the finishing look was absolutely terrible. My hair was not working out so she sent me to another hair stylist to try to “fix he curls” which only made my hair look worse. The worst thing is I had to pay $60 for my hair to look greasy and not curly. Not only did I waste my time and was late to my makeup appointment, I had to go home and wash my hair and do it myself so it could look semi acceptable for my prom pictures. Will definitely not return to PUR salon, it doesn’t matter the type of hair you have. If you go to a good stylist they will be able to work with anything, obviously I made a mistake going to PUR.

This is the first time Ive been here since the salon changed ownership years ago. I am a bit picky, so I was a somewhat apprehensive. But, I am so excited that i decided to try. I love Avenda and have followed Horst, the originator story over the years. Thats why I re-looked at PUR. Emily, my hairdresser was awesome! Shes knowledgeable and creative. She razor cut to give texture and add fullness....awesome! Hadnt seen that in years. She had a great personality, easy to talk with. I was very pleased and will certainly return!

A skin reaction is not a reason for a negative review, and your Doctor can request the ingredients of the product if It was an emergency to suffice a remedy. It is not the fault of the product color ingredients or the professionalism of the salon person who administered the application. It is in your skin pigments and the medical history of how your skin reacts and tolerates chemicals. I too am of Arab decent and my skin therefore is more sensitive to chemicals, by nature and in part by the pure natural healthy life I live free from radicals and toxins.

I recently had my first hair appointment with Tai and cannot say enough good things about her! She took her time with me, addressed my concerns and did everything possible to make sure I was happy with the results. Ive never had a hairdresser show such concern, passion and take pride in their work as this lovely lady (what a hard worker)!

Went here today looking to give my hair some style as its been over two years since Ive been to a salon. Haley was my stylist and did an amazing job. She communicated everything she was doing which made me feel very relaxed about my hair getting shaped up. She took her time, didnt rush through it - super important. My hair turned out better than I expected, and that says a lot coming from me (Im very picky). Highly recommend going to her, shes someone you can trust. 5/5 stars for sure.

I enjoyed my experience at Pur Salon. My stylist was Jasmine and she was wonderful. Before we even started, Jasmine made an impression on me per her consultation regarding the products I use and my everyday routines to gather an understanding of my hair. She even provided tips!It was my first time getting a silk press and Jasmine ensured I understood every step along the way which eased all my hesitation. You could tell she was knew hair well. It was suggested I get a protein treatment and my ends trimmed. I couldn’t have agreed with her more. The difference was a major transformation!I love the setting of the salon as well. Nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. Overall, I was pleased with my service and I will return.

I called on the drop of a dime and made an appointment. They fit me in within an hour. I was scheduled with Ken who was so welcoming and sweet. He was informative about products and services. Between his awesome head massage and offering of wine, this first time experience was great and Ill definitely be back! Thank you Ken!

Great with color, greedy with up-sales. I was excited about this salon since the local reviews are so positive, but I was not as impressed once I left. I have naturally curly hair and was assured when making my appointment they would know how to treat and manage it. The stylist I had was OK, she was great at color (it really is beautiful) but knew nothing of how to style curly hair. Once the color was processed she used a diffuser, a trivial amount of product, scrunched my hair twice and let me leave looking like a scarecrow. I had to pull my hair into a pony tail when I got back in the car and saw my hair in full daylight. Was almost funny how pitiful it was- and she seemed proud of her work...cringe. I can forgive a bit of ignorance- not many salons excel in curls. What got me is the up-sale of their Organic Pure product line; tiny bottles of lackluster products that retail for at least 4 times what they are worth. I found out while there that they incentivize up-sales with vacations for employees. Felt ripped off walking out- if I ask for something from the shelf then fine, but please dont pressure me into buying $100 worth of product when I am already dropping over $200 on a service. This felt like a racket- not going back.

I had a great experience here. I got a cut and color. Vien was wonderful, she took extra time to make sure my cut was perfect and that the color was exactly what I wanted. She is so meticulous and careful when coloring. I was so pleased with the result that I returned for touch up. I would recommend this salon. This was the best hair cut and color I have had.

Vien is absolutely the best stylist I’ve ever had. She is an expert with base color, highlights, low-lights, and cuts. She is so good at bringing out the dimension in my hair-color while keeping it very natural. Her natural instincts with color are amazing! My teenage daughter is now a client also and won’t go anywhere else. We both tell everyone we know that she’s the best!

I went in with honey blonde and natural brown roots..asked for rose gold/dusty rose and came out with more of a purple/pink. I wasnt going to leave a review at all because when I left while I was kinda apprehensive about the color it was pretty. But I was also told that it would fade into a pretty color as well and 4 days later it definitely has not. Shannon did my hair. She seems like a sweet woman..did great trimming my hair. She did 2 coats of color the first time she said it was half rose gold half violet to get the yellow out my hair and it did not turn out. The bottom half took to it but the middle top portion didnt. So she came back with a very bright purple pink mix. Only after she did part of my hair did she tell me that it would be brighter than the color I asked. But she said that it would fade into a pretty color so I trusted her decision and while I didnt absolutely love the color leaving..I did like it. (So Ill admit that thats my fault..I should have stood my ground on the color I actually wanted) honestly though its not even the color that I have an issue with. Its how its faded 4 days later. My roots are still my natural brown but the portion that initially didnt take to the first coat has a very ugly yellowish tint to it. I feel like if rose gold wasnt possible then she should have lifted my blonde more or told me it wasnt possible and I could have decided on something else.

I am the most amazing experience at PUR today. Emily T. is by far the best hair stylist I have ever been to! Its a beautiful salon and the atmosphere is chill and friendly. I will definitely be back!

They were able to squeeze in my daughter and I at the same time which was awesome. Lauren cut my hair and did my eyebrows for me and was incredible, very personable and did an amazing job with my haircut and my eyebrows. Mary cut my daughters hair and it looks beautiful and she sat down with us before hand and talked about what we both wanted for her hair before taking her back. Very cool. Love them both, they really went the extra mile, and the girl at the front desk is very sweet and accommodating. We will be back!!!

I love this salon. The atmosphere is spa-like and very welcoming. Vicki does the best color I’ve ever had!! I can’t recommend her (and the salon) strongly enough!!
