Driver was friendly, car was clean and good condition, safe driver, fair price. He gave us his number and we called him directly for a second trip during our stay in Charlotte. Great experience.

This post is overdue but I feel the need to share this story.First allow me agree with some of the other post about the rudeness of the man that answered the phone. He hung up on me before I could ask a question. My goal was to book the cab a week ahead.We arrived in Charlotte on the train to celebrate my husbands birthday, well long story short I forgot to call around for another cab company. When we got there (late) our event was about to start and we had NO ride. I had to do it... call this cab company back. A young man answered the phone and in my desperate voice started telling him how badly I needed a cab. He stated that there were no cabs available. Then he looked up and said theres a guy outside let me ask him if he would take up (Look at God).The Gentleman (Dairus) that picked us up was the ram in the bush for us. He was prefect extremely nice and very professional. We asked if he would be our personal driver during our stay.These Gentlemen deserve to be recognized it is because of them that I gave Royal Cab 5 stars.

They straight up just didnt pick us up at all and then ghosted my number. Terrible customer support Uber cant run these guys out of business fast enough

I go to dialysis tuesday thursday and saturday they either dont answer the phone or just simply dont pick me up at all i have to go to treatment in order to live they are rude on the phone oh hangup on because of them i lost my place in line to get a kidney but they are still getting paid for services they are not providing

This cab service was horrible it never showed up we called a number of times they didnt have drivers and then when they finally picked up the phone they three hours later they told there was a driver on the way they never showed up I do not recommend this company to anyone

If you have handicapped family using this service for transportation Do Not! This organization left patients of mine to walk almost a half mile with two disabled children and car seats. The driver dropped the mother off at the wrong location and when we tried to get dispatch to assist they said the mother and her disabled children had to walk back the half mile where the driver dropped them off even though it was the wrong location. Im sure Medicaid does not pay these transportation companies to drop the patients off at the wrong spot .Upon trying to correct this problem with dispatch, the lady refused to give me her name and would not allow me to speak to the manager regarding the concern. Instead she kept repeating over and over again, they have to go back to where they were dropped off. She followed up these comments by cutting me off saying thank you and hanging up in my face with no solution for this family with disabled children.As a result, I had to drive up to the incorrect location where they were originally dropped off while other patients waited so I can find the driver and lead him to the correct spot. This was an unfortunate and unnecessary ordeal. I would not recommend using this service at all from Royal transportation. Their are plenty of other transportation companies that are more accommodating than Royal transportation. I will be reporting them. Sorry for the driver who was very nice. However if you cant get past dispatch then that is not good.

The lady who answers the phone has a nasty rude attitude. I called to cancel my ride and she hung up on me before o could talk. The driver is always to early or super late. This is for the ride lady on the phone you need to find a job where you don’t have to talk to people because you are nasty and rude learn something manners

Ordered a taxi to the airport, in advance. And still one hour later they hadnt come to pick me up so I had to arrange something else. Called to check and they kept saying in a few minutes and nobody came.Called them because they were the company that took me to my hotel and the driver had been nice. But really dont order a taxi with this company!

I dont feel that this company even deserves a star. After waiting for an hour for another cab company we called Royal can for a ride. She asked me what the address was and I told her I did not know and then she says that shell get a cab to me as soon as possible. Then I asked how long that would be she said well I gotta look up the address and call them. I asked her to look it up while I was on the phone with her so she can give me an estimated time. She then told me that she was busy and asked me if I had a way to look it up. In this business you should have the ability to look up any address regardless of whether your customers have the ability or not. I am from out of town yes i could have looked it up on my phone but that does not excuse how rude this person was to me. I do not recommend this cab service to even my worst enemy. And to the girl I talked to in the phone, learn some damn manners. I bet Royal cab has only two stars because of your attitude. I understand that u were busy but at that moment you were helping me and should have been busy with me. If you were too busy to help me u should not have answered the phone.

I had a great experience. The cab showed up in a timely fashion. The cab driver and my 4yr old son had the best conservation about nothing. I enjoyed it and will call again if needed. Paid by cash

The reviews on here that has 5 stars are actually the owners and employees doing that. Also they sexually harrass women. The drivers go to hotels with females and then lie about it when the women speak out. They speed and doesnt care bout the safety of their passengers. Vehicles always breaking down in road with customers. Cab drivers actually have the nerve to call people names. Dont use this service. Im actually wanting to start a petition about royal cab.because some of the things they do is criminal. Be safe people.and women watch the men if youre alone with them. Horrible service. This company is a JOKE! They are all very unprofessional and lack common sense. The dispatcher hangs up on you, yells at you, and is very rude! ALL of the drivers are dumb! The drivers have no idea where they are going even though they are following the GPS. The drivers do not understand basic directions. My 10 year old son uses this company to get to and from school daily....they have lied about coming to my home at the correct time, the drivers have left him in the HOT SUMMER CAR ALONE, one driver told him/made him to GET OUT even though she is supposed to wait with him until the school doors open, they lost my child, they left my child at school for HOURS, they go off their route and pick up adults who are NOT supposed to be in the vehicle with my child, the list goes on and on! I have never used a company so unprofessional, unorganized, and no respect for their customers. I would NOT recommend this company to my worst enemy. Royal Cab needs to be shut down immediately and I will continue to report this sorry excuse for a business. Oh one of the drivers beat one of the students they were supposed to be taking to school! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! *After today we will NOT be using this company! My sons cab is 30 minutes late of course.*

The cab picked me up at baggage claim. I didn’t know I was to go to a cab booth to get an approved cab service. A Royal cab driver pulled up to me as I was walking toward where the taxi signs were leading to. He asked if I needed a cab. I said yes. He took me to my hotel downtown and charged me $37 plus tip. I found out at the hotel, the rate should have $25 flat rate. The guy didn’t give me a receipt. When I called them for the receipt, I was told they aren’t allowed to pick up at baggage claim. When I told the guy that the driver gave me his history coming to this country so I mentioned the country he was from. He stated half the drivers in Charlotte were from there. The airport told me that they’re known for picking up people in a drive up, scoop up manor. I firmly believe I was knowingly ripped off by Royal.

I work the overnight shift at a hotel in uptown charlotte. This is, by far, the worst cab company in the area. Scheduling a ride means absolutely nothing to them. 95% of the time, the taxi that was entrusted to get our guests to the airport on time just never shows up. Unfortunately, this is the sort of reliability that Ive come to expect from all cab companies in the area.Step it up boys.-UPDATE: Thought Id give them another chance and called for a cab in uptown. we dont have anyone uptown. Immediately flagged down a Royal Cab right outside. He straight up just lied.

I attempted to get a ride for one of our 81 year old patients and the lady that picked up simply told me that they didnt have her listed for a pick up and hung up. It seems like they dont want to service this person and its just not right.

TLDR; the cab driver harassed me and the cab company refused to issue a refund.This is by far the WORST service I ever had. I had a 14 mile trip to Charlotte Airport. When I got into the car, the driver told me the credit card machine was broken and I did not have enough cash on me for the trip. I called the company on the way to the airport letting them know the situation. They told me to call when I arrived at my destination to pay with my credit card over the phone. We arrived at the airport and I called the company as instructed. I gathered my belongings and got out of the car to head into the airport. The driver GOT OUT of his car and FOLLOWED ME into the airport, and was yelling at me to pay him, even though he knew I was on the phone with his cab company. I have never in my life been harassed like that before, I am disgusted. The cherry on top is that the company refused to issue a refund for the harassament and embarrassment I endured. If I could give zero stars I would.

We had Irfan as our driver last night and after a long day, it was refreshing to find a cab that was not only convenient but friendly during the drive. After reading the reviews I was worried about raking the cab service but we were happily surprised!

Extremely dangerous and rude drivers, I’ve personally seen one of their cab drivers cause a very serious accident to the point both cars were mangled and destroyed, your taking your time, money, life into your own hands when contacting this cab company...the absolute worst, I would rather walk or ride a bike 10 miles than trust this company with my transportation.I have already contacted law enforcement in relation to these issues...their response was they know all about them and warned me to just stay away from them.

Horrible service! The cab drivers are rude! They work with all kinds of people in the population and they are so nasty! You call to make a complaint and they hang up on you! The woman answering the telephone is rude.I received a confirmation email which stated to call them if I did not receive a call within 10 minutes. I called and explained I was following the directions of the confirmation email. The woman had an attitude and practically hung up. The driver called after the pick-up time to say he was ten minutes away; and then said less than 10 minutes. Once 15 minutes had passed, I called the office....more rudeness and was told the driver should call and she hung up. We are a sales office with a lot of sales training and customer events with travel to and from the airport. I will not use them again.

Wish I could give no stars but back in December I had one of their cabbies cut me off in traffic with my blinker on then we exchanged words and he spit on my passenger window.

The worst taxi service ever. Driver took me the wrong way. Charged me double price. Were arguing with me. Didnt even put navi on. Instead of 20$ I paid almost 40$. I told him that Im new in Charlotte and I dont know these roads I guess thats why he drive me the longest way. Never ever again. Good luck this company

One of the drivers just Cut me off on the plaza in Noda to the point where I had to slam on my brakes and almost rear ended him. I have seen these drivers all around Nota and Plaza Midwood and they always are driving erratically. Beware!

Tried to pay cab driver with my debit card because they had a machine. However, machine could not process my card. Luckily my father in law had cash....tipped the driver 10 dollars on top of the $44, 15 minute cab ride. Next day, saw that the charge went through. I guess I was in for a buy one cab ride and pay for it again special. Called the place and they said they couldnt process my refund bc a manager was not there. Called again when a manager was supposed to be there and was told I would receive a check in the mail. Its been two and a half weeks and guess what? I dont think Ill be receiving a check. This company should be called Crooks Cab Service.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT call or use this cab service!! Waited 45 minutes, called and they told me that somebody should be driving up shortly. Nobody came, so after 15 more minutes, I called and cancelled. Use yellow taxi instead! After calling, the cab driver was there within 10 minutes, if not sooner!

Staff is VERY rude, is was calling on behalf of an elder woman, it took them 3 hours for a driver to come and pick her up. And when you call in to speak to someone the staff is incompetent, answers the phones very rudely by saying Royal Cab AGAIN! after I called the second time to follow up on the status of her pickup, after 2 hours. Please do not waste money or time on this company, I see why people choose to UBER or LYFT because this cab company is the worst in Charlotte.

By far the WORST cab company in Charlotte! The dispatcher is rude, they dont move with a sense of urgency and the drivers are slow. Going to the airport, it took over 45 mins just to pick me up. Even when I called several times, I was told the cab was on the way and never showed, making me late. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Great service and nice staff. Whenever I call Royal, the phone is answered in less then 10 seconds and the dispatcher calls when the cab is at my location. They are the quickest in Charlotte uptown, southend, plaza midwood area. With three dispatchers working, my call is always answered in a timely manner unlike Yellow cab who have to go throught the whole ordeal of your call may be monitored or recorded with a five minute wait time. Definitely the most reliable cab company in Charlotte.

It is in this place @ Royal Auto shope I believe part of the Royal cab I had the worst experience. The mechanic technicians work on a try and error bases. My car spent morethan two days with them and they cant figure out the problem. Instead they ask me to buy and change parts which is nothing to do with z problem. Finally I spent around $400 parts and labour, and kick me out without fixing my car. To my surprise I took it to other auto shop and they fixed it within one hour and the problem was the just only the EGR valve nothing else

Bad for business. I called them for a ride to the bus station to catch my bus an hour and 30 mins before schedule and the guy told me theyll be there soon and will call when their outside I waited 30 mins called them he said hell call when he has someone in my area and then a whole hour just for the guy to tell me well youve been waiting over 2 hours you should have called someone else. No Stars if I could.

Cab v88 almost ran over my kid today. When I confronted her about speeding through my neighborhood she cussed me out.After reading all the reviews on here it appears they piss off everyone they come in to contact with. Why would you NOT call an Uber or Lyft?

Looked to call an Uber at 2:15 am on a Sunday morning (Saturday evening). The wait time was very long since we were in Uptown and the traffic was bad. So we got in a Royal Cab that was nearby. At the end of the ride, we were told it was going to be $13.50 ($5.50 for distance/time and $8.00 because we had 6 people). This was completely acceptable, but then when the card was run, it was run for $25.88. The driver clicked through multiple screens on the card machine without allowing me to read it. This is completely unacceptable and I would never recommend using this shady company again. We will be sticking with Uber.

Cab driver 2224 in Charlotte was awful! The worst service I received anywhere! She almost swerved into another car and was on the phone the entire time. I would recommend using an UBER!

Ive called this company several times, they say 20 minutes and never show up.

I called to find out the pricing of a ride from the airport and instead of the lady answering my question, she told me that she doesnt have any cabs and that I must go to the cab stand at the airport to get a cab but all I wanted was a price and she was rude. DONT use this company at all!

These people are a scam, they charged my CC for 79.50$ in Charlotte, NC and I live in Grand Rapids, MI. I called and spoke to a lady in Dispatch who couldnt help me, gave me the owners number (Wahid) who I am still trying to get a hold of. This forced me to block the charge and cancel my CC card, this is complete fraud and I have the cops and my lawyer involved.

Royal Cab keeps dialysis patients waiting for more than an hour for pick up after their treatment on a regular basis according to my mom who has to use them for now according to DSS. This is unacceptable.
