Ive had pianos moved for us maybe 8 times over the years. This was by far the best. They were on time, professional, and definitely know pianos. I heard about them through the Steinway dealer which makes sense that they would only use the best.

We were moving a whole house and this was our first time using professional movers. From start to finish the whole experience with this team was great. Russell and Shannon made scheduling smooth, estimate was very accurate, communication was clear, and they addressed all of our questions. The moving team was on-time, courteous and professional. They worked hard and quickly, didnt waste any time while at either property, and the final move time was an hour less than the quote. Additional expenses for special items had been described before-hand (tv boxes, etc.) so there were no surprises and the final cost was well under the quote which we appreciated.For our first move like this, we were very thankful for how stress-free and easy this team made it for us and we cannot recommend them enough.

I was in a bind. A week before the end of the month I finally got a closing date on my new home. That was date was set one day before the end of the month and I needed to be out on the first. That meant I had a two day window to move and less than a week to find movers. With so little time, I called around and everyone was booked. Road Haugs saved me. They were able to fit me in and did so with great customer service and great people. I am so glad I found them. Now, I hope I dont move for a long time. We had Road Haugs booked for a local move. I confirmed in the week prior that everything was set but day of the move the crew called and completely cancelled on us. We were scheduled for a morning move, the crew called and asked if we could do afternoon instead, we agreed because we understand things happen and then they never showed. We had to call them for an answer and it was basically, sorry cant come. They did have some management call and apologize but that does little to rectify the situation when you are planning completely around movers. We did a ton of research and sad to say the reviews did not add up to the level of service we received.

Great service. Had to move a big bar (like a drinking/pub bar) and a piano from Charlotte to Knightdale. Charged a reasonable amount, moved my furniture like it was nothing, and were super fast. Would recommend.

Because of a scheduling conflict, we needed movers scheduled within 10 days. This was virtually impossible, but Shannon managed to find a cancellation slot for us and a group of 4 guys to make sure everything would go smoothly.We had two storage units full of appliances, furniture, media, and other things that needed to go into our new home. It took less than half a day for Chris and the rest of the crew to load everything on to one truck, gently guide everything into the new house, and wish us well for the weekend. This is my third move in two years, and although I hope I dont have to do it again any time soon, Road Haugs will be the first call we make when were ready to move again!

I am rarely pleased by customer service these days, and it was so refreshing to work with this team. They took exceptional care of all of our items, meticulously wrapped everything, and were energetic and cheerful. A little late on my review since we moved back early August-The company I bought my piano from said they were recommended for Moving pianos and also said they do full moves too- and I thought I can trust them to move a piano, I’m sure they can move everything else just fine-Floyd ran the team of guys- Allen TyroneMikeRitchieJpWe moved from about 6000 square feet over two days, furniture being disassembled and reassembled-Guys we’re there bright and early ready to go, and man they worked- really hard-No breaks, from sun up to sun down - I bought them lunch both days and they picked it up on the way to our new house and even beat me there to get started again-They ran the operation very professionally- they took great care of all of my items, wrapping and packing- to not get damaged in transport- not once did I feel like it was a group of guys just doing this for a weekend job or extra money- They were what I would epitomize as professional movers- I never felt like they were working the clock - when I say these guys worked hard it was literally every second for two days straight-Although they never complained, I wish I knew they didn’t use dolly’s to get boxes upstairs , I packed some pretty heavy and the guys carried them all by hand upstairs so I wish I could have made that part easier on them because they were already working so hard-Anyways , I would never use another company for moving - definitely ask for Floyd to run the group and if you can manage to get the rest of the guys too you won’t be disappointed-

WE contracted our move with Road Haugs after previously contacting other movers as we made our move to Florida from North Carolina. They arrived as scheduled and worked efficiently and courteously to load our belongings into the truck. Less than 48 hours later, they arrived at our new place and unloaded without any issue. They even reconfigured my sectional sofa to fit our new home. We were immensely pleased with Road Haugs and would not hesitate to recommend them for a move.

No consistency on pricing. Used this company a few times after having a great 1st experience.. & it only went downhill from there! Because of who we are, even making it easier or faster for them was a mistake! Don’t advise the female coordinator an estimated time it will take, nor being so honest with a complete detailed moving list.. She will use it against you & can be a sarcastic firecracker! She’ll challenge a customer with defensive authority AND say who we spoke to prior just has no clue what they’re talking about.. It is a shame because the backbone of the company is so respectful, caring & polite. When the one coordinating a move or estimate can trump what’s good..

Do not use! Road Haugs continuously added up-charges and worst of all caused extensive damage to personal items and our Harley Davidson motorcycle. They refuse to repair or replace any of the items not following through with their own policy. The crew completely denies the fault in damaging the motorcycle and Road Haugs has no interest in settling the claim, answering emails, or any further communication. Road Haugs is clearly hoping we will just go away. There are several other companys out there and we feel strongly to warn others before they spend hard earned money to end up with damage property.

Would recommend but was put off by the use of time on my dime being used for phone calls, smoking, and blaring loud music. Price was adjusted for a no-show crew man, not by much but it was something I guessc considering it took longer to move my items. I was very satisfied with my move by Road Haugs. They are expert piano movers and this was the second time they carefully moved my baby grand. Shannon was fantastic at getting everything scheduled and confirmed. Jeff and his team were phenomenal - they protected at-risk corners in my home with moving blankets, they wrapped every piece of furniture with care, they worked without taking any breaks, they stacked everything so neatly to maximize the truck space and ensure safe transport, they worked fast and had great positive attitude, despite the scorching heat outside. Then, after emptying my house and loading the truck, they offloaded and artfully stacked everything into my 10x20 storage unit! Oh, and they finished early!! If you need quality movers that will really take care of your things and work fast, ask for Jeffs crew!

RH did a fabulous job of moving and storing our household items. Shannon was great at communicating the details and staying in touch each step of the way. We had to have our items stored temporarily for a week. Our belongings arrived intact. Jeff was awesome when it came to arranging and packing up our items. Chris and his team delivered a new baby grand piano to our home. The piano was to go on the second floor but due to the size of the piano and the layout of the stairwell it was not able to be carried up to the loft. Chris and his team rented a lift and came back and raised the piano to the second floor and got it set up and ready to play with no damage. They took special care of making sure the floors were not scratched and we were pleased. I highly recommend them.The above was in December 2019. Fast forward to August 2020, we were so pleased with the previous experience that we used Road Haugs to move our entire household contents to our new home in Waxhaw. They were on time, very courteous, took very good care of our furniture and made sure the piano was moved without any damage lowering it from the loft back to the first floor and then to our new house. Moving day is very stressful but it was made better by Shannon, Joe and their team. I highly recommend their company.

I had hired movers who were unable to get my lengthy couch into the 2nd floor living space. I called Road Haugs Friday evening and they were very responsive to setting up a time and confirming that they could hoist my couch. We were able to schedule the hoist after only a couple of days and they were on time, fast, and very professional. My move was simple. One bedroom and a living room UNTIL we got to my new destination. I didnt even think to make sure the sectional would fit up 3 flights of stairs (4 story town house/my couches were going up there). So of course they did not fit.Will and Joe improvised and were able to lift my sectional, from the ground to the rooftop patio, piece by piece, with a harness to the 4TH FLOOR! Even with all this they completed their job in a very timely manner.Needless to say, extremely please. Joe and Will, Ill be calling when I gotta get this stuff out of here! LOL!!!

I recently hired them to move and deliver an upright piano. This place was recommended by our piano instructor. Right from the time I contacted them, the whole process was so easy. Well coordinated and no surprises on prices. We were given a 2 hr window and got a call 30 min ahead to let us know they were on their way. Allow me to justify the five stars. First of all, I actually went to their office (which I dont think anyone ever does) to talk about possibly securing their services for a move. I found them amongst other companies on google but they stood out because of the fact that they are a family business and a small business and yes had excellent reviews.I was met by Shannon and Bruce which was a joy. Shannon was extremely professional, helpful and respectful of my time as she provided all of the needed information in a concise manner. Additionally, before I even left her office she had already emailed. Im big on customer service and efficiency so it was a no brainer to go with them.The communication between scheduling the move and move day was seamless. In fact, I was the one who dropped the ball the day before as Bruce persevered to confirm the move. He was relentless in trying to reach me which I am so very grateful for. Keep your phones on the day before people!!!!Chris called when he was fifteen minutes away on move day, showed up as expected with a crew. The entire crew was professional, efficient with their time, helpful etc. I cant say enough about the good care they took of our things. When I say professional, they taught us a thing or two about moving.In fact, my husband and I own a business and were moving in a couple months. Im requesting Chris and the same crew. I dont know if its possible but Im sure going to try. You can trust these folks to take care of your things as if its their own. Well worth the money.

Guys are very detail oriented. They took time to protect all our furniture with pads and our new home floors and stairs. All three guys were friendly, hard working guys and we would hire again next time. Thanks again for all your help, we truly appreciate it.

Road Haugs did a great job! We moved an apartment and storage unit into a new house, and they were extremely professional. Great service, quality care, and quick! I would highly recommend them and would use them again!

Excellent from beginning to end. Shannon was awesome getting our quote. Bc of covid19 they did a contactless visit for quoting. Guys arrived on time and ready to work. You can tell they like each other and have a great team mentality. They wrapped each piece of furniture like it was a precious gift. Handled everything with care. Definitely would use again.

Typically people reserve reviews for those companies that do them wrong in some way, but Im happy to say that Im writing for the opposite reason. Having moved a lot over the years, up and down the east coast, I can honestly say these guys are the absolute best movers Ive ever worked with, full stop. Friendly, professional and expert-level in every way. There is a reason the piano stores in town recommend these guys. If youre moving, use these guys. Its that simple.

Shannon and movers were very professional and nice nice to work with. Will definitely refer friends and family to use this company for their moving needs.

They helped me move a 7 piano and had to assemble beyond normal. Great people - very professional and prompt. Very polite. Pleasure to work with.

Great move! Thomas and crew did an outstanding job, on time, under budget, with a positive and upbeat attitude. And no casualties! They were very patient, even when we changed our minds a couple times about locating some things upstairs/downstairs. Thanks for a job well done.

Shannon, Thomas and the crew at Road Haugs are AMAZING! They answered our inquiries faster than anyone else, showed up on time, worked hard, came in under budget, and didnt damage a thing. That is saying a lot since we have a 100 yr old HEAVY piano and wood floors in the new house. They handled everything so well I will be using them again the next time I move. Thanks Road Haugs!
