Grace is a stellar business woman. One of my doctors referred me to her practice for some specialized orthotics which is how I ended up going to this facility. I encountered some problems throughout my experiences but Grace was quick to jump in and resolve the issues going above and beyond what I expected!! For future customers I will note, if you have BCBS-NC just make sure the office takes note so the claim is filed correctly.After experiencing pain for 3-4yrs, I am grateful to have these inserts! Specialty Orthotics was a great experience! I recently visited for my continued foot pain. Since Covid-19, I have been working from home and have become more physically active. Grace was able to diagnose and fit me with a pair of off-the-shelf inserts. They are the best inserts I have tried! I HIGHLY recommend going to see Specialty Orthotics, if you have foot issues.

I have had a problem with my feet, from years of bike riding, I think. Kept getting worse, and really had trouble walking and climbing stairs. Foot doctor sent me to this clinic, and it was the best thing i have done for my feet in many years. Grace Turner, the woman I worked with, did all kind of measurements and ordered these custom made orthotic shoe inserts. I have been using them for a couple of months, and my feet are like normal again. Id do 10 stars if that was an option.

Last week I was experiencing terrible foot pain, went in and saw Grace Turner. She knew exactly what the problem was and within a day, I was walking again pain free!! Grace was very knowledgeable and compassionate. I tell everyone I meet about the wonderful experience I had at Specialty Orthotics. Office staff very friendly and accommodating also.

The customer service at this clinic is great, a rarity in most medical offices these days. I am extremely satisfied with the orthotics I got here - I am back running and pain free. It took me a bit to get used to them, as they said it would, but it was well worth it in the end. Highly recommend this group.

Patient Beware! My wife was referred here by her physician for orthotics. When she made the appointment she asked if they were in network for BlueCross BlueShield and told yes. At the appointment, she asked again at the front desk and the provider if they are in-network with BlueCross BlueShield and told yes by both. In fact the provider went on and on about BCBS coverage. When my wife submitted the insurance forms (because Specialty Orthotics doesnt submit insurance -- this should have been our first clue) the claim was denied stating out of network. We had to pay the full price out of pocket. Insult to injury, she doesnt love the orthotics.

I strongly recommend this company. I had been to 2 other companies, who did not help me at all. A friend told me I was wasting my time going anywhere but here, and he was right. The woman there was very helpful, and knew what to do to help me. She fit me with these special inserts that she measured and ordered for me. I have been able to walk without any pain at all since she did that - for the first time in 8 years..

I just picked up my new orthotics from Specialty Orthotics, and these orthotics are the best yet. I cannot express enough adulations for Grace and her staff. I have had foot problems for 20 years. My doctor at Ortho Carolina sent me to see Grace Turner at Performance Orthotics, and it was the best thing I have done for my foot. The whole experience has been incredible - measured, fitted with custom show insert that has just about completely eliminated my pain. I am able to work all day painlessly now.

Ive had orthotics from an orthopedist for ten years that helped some with my pain but never solved the problem of my angled right foot. These new ones from Grace have finally compensated for my crooked ankle and I can now walk with no pain. I am definitely recommending her. 👍👍👍😊

Beware. Specialty Orthotics is not a member of BCBS network. Therefore, you do not get the BCBS discount and you end up paying full price. Which, is what they want. I feel they withheld this information by telling me I would be easily reimbursed even though they were aware of my insurance information. With BCBS, you pay $495, no reimbursement. The product is nice, but at a cost.

I saw Grace Turner for an exam of my feet. I am an RN of 45 years and am on my feet 12-14 hours on concrete floors. Grace made me orthotics to help with my pain. Grace was very professional but added the touch of someone who actually cared about me as a person.

I had a very good experience getting care from Performance Orthotics. The staff were very friendly and thorough to help me through the process of getting new orthotics. I was treated with great respect and care and would highly recommend this company for any of your orthotic needs. Ive ordered 2 new pairs since my first ones and couldnt be happier. Performance Orthotics has been a great company that helped treat and cure my symptoms of sesamoiditis foot pain problem. The custom made orthotics helped me perform my best while competing in sports as Im playing college football at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Beware. P.O. is not a member of BCBS network. Therefore, you do not get the BCBS discount and you end up paying full price. Which, by the way, is what P.O. wants. You pay $450. BCBS allows $281.98 in network. A tidy $168.02 extra profit.

A doctor at OrthoCarolina sent me to this office for orthotics to address my foot pain. The primary focus needed to be on raising fallen metatarsal arches. Two years and approximately $600 later, this office had refused to correctly raise the arch or position the metatarsal pad. They use an electronic stepping pad to determine the structure of the orthotics but never take into account any other measurements or the structure of an individuals feet. The metatarsal pad was placed with the edge right under my last middle toe joint and the rest of the pad sits well above the last two toes. Walking around in these for two years has made the problem significantly worse, now causing nerve pain with every step in the middle toe joint. The person who evaluated me frequently accused me of not wearing the inserts and ignored the doctors 2nd request to raise the metatarsal arch. Her attitude was very condenscending, which I suspect was because I had to keep asking her to correct them and make them right. She charged me $80 after a year had passed and they were still not correct. I finally took them to a different orthotics supplier, which I had been loathe to do because of the investment Id already made. They immediately pointed out the poor placement of the metatarsal pad and explained how the orthotics had made my foot pain go from moderate to severe. I am now having to pay a different company to make an orthotic to correctly support the metatarsal arch. I cannot convey enough the incompetency of this company and their unwillingness to take into account the fact that you are the one living with your feet and know when things are not right.
