03 F350 Superduty left me in the middle of the freeway with white smoke 2 hours away from home. Towed it to a place where they told me engine is done, needs replacement. Called a Diesel engine place and told me that definitely it blew gasket and wanted $$$$ to rebuilt engine and had to wait 4 months...then I towed it to CVD and what a difference, they told me exactly what the problem was and gave me a fare price to fix the engine, a fraction of what I was quoted elsewhere, picked up the truck a week later and is running like new!! they gave me some pointers on the maintenance needed and I was really impressed by their knowledge and professionalism, going forward Catawba Valley Diesel are the only mechanics that are going to work on my truck :)

I took my 04 F250 to CVD for some long overdue and substantial engine repairs. Injectors, glow plugs, turbo veins stuck, and a laundry list of other issues. After 5 minutes talking with John and Andy I knew I was in good hands. Their knowledge of my 6.0 was impressive and their work ethic, quality and honesty even more so.

This is the kind of place you know that when you take your truck to it youre going to get good attention. Andy and his buddy do a great job. You know its the right place when you see individual trucks fleet trucks and other trucks that represent a wide range of people that use the company.

Had my 06 F350 there 3 times due to different issues. All fixed the first time and same day since they were small repairs. Last time I had an issue I called and was given instructions on how to fix it over the phone and had no trouble doing it myself. I will take my truck there for anything out of my realm as long as I live nearby.

I recently bought a Ford diesel tow truck and I have never owned a diesel before and John the owner was very helpful explain all the ins and out with the type of engine that I had.. He even stayed over when he was supposed to be on the way to a wedding to help me fix my truck and since it was fixed six months ago have yet to have any problem out of the truck.. very trustworthy guy and employees..

Same great experience as others. Im located in the suburbs of Atlanta, and was looking at an old 80s Ford truck for sale in the Charlotte area that had an old IDI engine in it. Called some other diesel shops in the area. One didnt even know what an IDI was and seemed to insist that Fords didnt have diesels prior to the Powerstroke, and another shop was honest enough to say they werent comfortable working on anything that old.Called and spoke to John who not only was comfortable, but had worked on them in the past. From my conversations, you can tell he has great knowledge of the engine, and again as with the other reviews is an honest business person and the kind of person/shop I would take my vehicles to if I was in the area. Essentially that dying breed of quality/good people.Thank you again John!

The staff here is knowledgeable, friendly, experienced, and expedient which is a rare find these days! Thanks again Andy / CVD!

I took my 2012 Ford F-250 6.7 power stroke to CVD. First time taking my truck to a diesel specialist for any work on the truck. First time having a real issue with the truck. John and his guys did awesome work. He called the insurance company and faught for me in order for them to pay more of the cost to properly fix my truck. Professional and knowledgeable guys. Definitely will be taking my truck back to CVD with future fixes and upgrades. Highly recommend them to anyone, especially Ford owners.

I got caught between a rock and hard place, and CWD/John really bailed me out.I was 500 miles from home, and my 7.3L PSD started having some issues; just as I was arriving into the Charlotte area for a long vacation weekend.I took it to a shop that was recommended by a chap that I met at the boat ramp, who stated this particular shop had another 7.3L truck of his companys in for service and they knew what they were doing. Long story short, they took me for $700 replacing batteries and a starter. I was OK with the batteries being replaced, as it could have used it, but THAT SHOP killed the starter somehow. It was fine when I brought it to them. But they claimed to think a weak electrical system was causing the issue. After batteries and a starter, they told me it was good, but they were wrong. It was still missing terribly once it got warm; and they never took the time to even test it. I got robbed on that one, but I had already headed home with a borrowed truck. Then after a few calls, I was referred to John at CVD by another mechanic in the Charlotte area. What a blessing. I had my trucked moved by friends over to Johns shop.In a matter of a couple hours, John diagnosed the issue, which was electrical connectors for the fuel injectors, which are buried under the valve covers. Also, he knew every inch of the truck and found and recommended several other issues that needed taken care of. His plan of attack, remediation plan, and spot on pricing and knowledge with NO surprises was absolutely what I needed.I went back a few weeks later, and drove my truck the 500 miles home. I had been so disappointed in the break down of this bulletproof truck; that I was considering selling. But thanks to John and CWD, Im holding on to it for a while.Thank you John & Catawba Valley Diesel!BTW, my truck has a custom paint job. John was extremely cognizant of such; and also no issues associated.
