Calm and serene. Cabins are clean and bright. The AC units are amazingly efficient. Loved the beach and the large patio area overlooking the lake. Theres ongoing construction and improvements to the property, so you will see some of those signs. My cabin (36) was in the treeline which probably contributes to the small cluster of sugar ants in the kitchenette and the palmetto bug I saw in the loft. The maintenance man was very nice and helpful with these. I went alone, so I didnt use the loft or the second bedroom. I think Ill go back - the price is right, and it provided me with the weekend of relaxation I needed.

UPDATE: I did finally get a cash refund for my membership fees. There is a new manager on staff who seems better capable of keeping things together. The pool and other facilities still arent working. If I could go with zero stars, I would! This place used to be great in the past, but ownership has shifted over to a new company. NOW its nothing but a rip off. They sold annual memberships in February for $275/family. They said the pool would be open by May. Its now the end of August and the pool still isnt open. They dont answer the phone when you call and it doesnt even have voicemail so you can leave a message. The contact form on the website doesnt work. When you go in person to ask for a refund, they tell you they cant do anything and you have to speak to a manager, who isnt there. This situation has gotten ridiculous. I even filed a complaint with the BBB and they wont work with them to resolve it either. Dont waste your money!

Resort sold memberships that included Pool rights to a pool that never opened. The entire property is in disrepair and ownership is completely unprofessional. The owners refuse to issue refunds and continue to defraud people with false advertising. There are MANY complaints to the BBB against this business.

My boyfriend, kids and I stayed here the other night. They are the cutest homes!!! They are tiny trailers/shacks but it was perfect for my family of five and we still had a ton of room. It had dishes and everything we needed to cook a dinner. They called us before we came to stay to let us know they are doing some construction and remodeling and that the pool was empty cause they are fixing it and said they would refund us our money if the pool was a deal breaker but we stayed! We got there 10 mins to closing and the people in office were so kind and helped us with the papers to sign. The guy showed us around and told us about the things they have planned for the place. Its a wonderful little place to stay!! We cant wait to come back when its finished and the pool is back up! We loved it so much. It is muddy but its been rainy lately and they are working on it and updating. We got burgers and walked down to the little beach thats on the lake, it was super clean the water was marked off. My kids and I had a blast swimming and dad cooked burgers on a grill that was there. They were wonderful people and I 100% recommend coming and staying here!!!

Hello. My name is Rosa . On Thursday I had an accident at this location on the stairs the wood was in poor condition the wood broke as I stepped on it my leg went through the wooden steps I hurt my leg I was and currently am in excruciating pain I went to the office to inform the property manger what had happened to me, and the manager didn’t even care all he said was that I did not have a reservation in any cabin and had no right to report it as an accident I went to this place because it had been recommended to me and we were thinking of renting a cabin there for my husband’s birthday so we went there to see what the place was like I have NOT been able to work due to the inflammation and pain tomorrow I have an appointment with my doctor so that he can check me I hope this letter reaches the owners hands because it is very easy to say that I had no reservation as it could have happened to anyone who was there Since they did not even ask for my name, they did not even offer me first aid at that time, my pain did not matter to them. I leave you my information and my phone number if you can communicate verbally by phone or email and you can give me an answer to me. I definitely will never return to this place nor recommend this place!

First off, its definitely not a lake front property. Its a remodeled trailer park with a lake. The parking was horrible and the road leading to the trailer park will tear your vehicle up!!! The third bed was a toddler mat in a crawl space. The kitchen doesnt have a oven and the living room area is the kitchen. The rooms were very very small. It was cute and clean but definitely not the spot for a girls trip. Something more for a retired person who wants to be secluded. The neighbors were very loud late at night and early in the morning. There was a small amount of move around space. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone I know.

This place has soooo much potential. It’s not terrible by any means. I had one of the better cabins than my friends. However- no one ever answered my emails, the pool was not open, and the beach area was dirty. The road to get to this place will tear your car up if you don’t have a truck or suv. This place needs a lil more TLC and better marketing/communication. Until then I would find an Airbnb. Also there is no handicap access to the beach area.

We arrived here ready for a relaxing weekend 1 hour from our home 🏡 because we could not stay more than the weekend, we arrive and immediately notice the unkept long road coming in, make note very difficult for 2 cars 🚙 to pass but as we travel a lot we understand sometimes that leads to beautiful places so we stayed positive. We get checked in and while walking out notice the beautiful pool that was advertised is in no way as the photos portrayed. We asked about the pool 🏊‍♀️ and of course it’s under remodeling and should be open by May, which was not advertised when we paid the price we paid!! So we ask how to get to cabin only to realize we had to take our brand new beautiful Challenger down this steep driveway that was muddy dirt track and follow around to more dirt!! We find our cabin is at the end of the waterfront that you can not walk around it except walking sideways right beside another cabins walkway to the back of the cabin to even see the lake!! There are so many safety hazards out here being in the construction 🦺 business.UPDATE:: Caution tape has been placed around sewer holes. The photos will show the boards turned up with nails in them open sewer lines with deep holes dug for them and the retaining wall they have built with no railings that kids that I think parents possibly live and work here are running wild and throwing things over the side including the underpinnings of neighboring trailers! And guess what if one of those kids get hurt everyone will say it was a accident. But my husband and I sat out here for a hour at least and not one adult came to check on those kids who had to be under the age of 7. Now the “cabin” The cabin was clean, it had a nice bed very comfortable, no internet in the cabin at all only whatever they run tv 📺 from but you can not access it, only time we got internet was to sit outside which there again no chairs on the “private porch” that was advertised we were getting. You would assume being the lake and advertising private porch it would face the water well absolutely not! It faces the trailer park and again there are no chairs 🪑 as the photos show!! There is no clear parking, everyone just parks wherever and we were told at check in if there was no parking we can come park back on the only asphalt which is at office and make that horrible walk back down the hills! Now the “beach” they advertise is not accessible to older people with walking issues or handicap issues or just out of shape or people who just don’t want to walk that far given they are on vacation!! The grills are just randomly sitting around different cabins it appears and you would just have to go grab one if you had came to grill your dinner! The photos online are nothing that is here now. Maybe at one time this was a nice place but now it looks like workers have there families here and a lot of kids who run around everywhere and around all the cars kicking dirt balls and throwing debri! And of course they give you a parking pass at check in that says they don’t cover your vehicle which most places don’t but most places don’t have tons of kids running around unsupervised either! So for this price you would think a nice accommodation but no this is lower than where we live so why would I ever return! If this place is under construction 🚧 then advertise that, then let the person choose to go and offer discounted rates if the place is not up to standard yet! Also in my opinion there should be clear warning markings so someone pulling in at night does not pull their car 🚙 in one of those sewer holes!UPDATE:: After hearing a conversation and speaking to someone I think a big family rented a few cabins and has family here for a family gathering!! So maybe not workers? With that they are pretty well dominating this area! We do see some people consistently cleaning up at the beach area and I understand staff can not possibly watch everyone but advertise if your place is not as advertised is my biggest advice. I really wanted to like this as we could come often.

By then the weather will be better and the pool will be open. Great place to unplug and relax. PSA not meant for cars. Lol took my 2017 Maxima. Not a good idea. However they are redoing it and that takes some time. It felt good waking up with a cup of coffee sitting by the water.

My wife and I booked room back in May for our anniversary. We checked in ‘after hours’ we got there around 7:00-7:30. Spoke with Lerone (very helpful.) he said not to worry about doing the check in process until the morning. Showed us to the Tiny Cabin (don’t stay in this one.) After getting out stuff into the room and getting settled, found several huge spiders in the cabin. Later that evening we went to use the shower and the shower was stopped up and ran into the floor. When turning on the hot water to use the sink or the shower, the smell was wretched. We called and asked if we could move to another room and the lady I spoke with said to let her check and she will would call is back. Called back and said that there were no other rooms available. So we dealt with it until morning. We go to get into the bed and found hair in the dirty bed sheets. Called and spoke with Lerone and said there were extra sheets in one of the baskets. So we changed the sheets.Woke up the next morning to walk around the ‘resort’ and nothing was set out, all of the chairs to sit in were put up because of Covid. Found Lerone in the morning to check in and just asked if we could get a refund. The room was dirty. The water smelled like something was wrong and there was hair in the dirty bed sheets. He took down my information and said he would refund our money for 2 nights.Waited 5 business days. Nothing. Sent emails to Lerone explaining what is going on. He replied back and said he would request a refund to Red Awning again. He copied me in on the email. 5 days later, nothing. Disputed the charge with my cc company. They refunded us the money, then the next billing cycle Red Awning declined the dispute and charged us again. I have sent more emails back to Lerone and to red awning. No response.Lerone was helpful and attempted to help us get a refund with Red Awning. This ‘resort’ isn’t anywhere I would recommend any of my friends or family staying. If Red Awning manages any other properties I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying at those properties either. My next step is with the BBB.

A Muddy MESS! Its basically a tiny home park. Dont waste your money.Oh my goodness, my wife and I showed up from IKEA a little after dark and it was challenging to find but the worst thing of all was it had been raining ALL DAY and since there was almost no lighting at all we couldnt see that the way to the cabin was rutted with deep mud. We called the office to try to locate our cabin and they directed us to the location and told us to park up the hill a ways from the cabin because we would have gotten stuck!! They already knew the conditions were terrible and then they had the audacity to tell us to walk in a one foot wide strip around the cabin to make it to the door. Impossible because there wasnt one! Then I told the manager this was unacceptable and that I wanted to go to a hotel. So she said to go to a different cabin. So, after slogging back up from the original location we found the other location and got our stuff inside. That was nice at least but upon reflection I would have much rather stayed at a hotel and paid half the price! The only reason we endured was because it was quite a drive out to begin with, it was after 9:30 pm, we had not eaten and we had a 2 year old who desperately needed to go to bed. We didnt realize looking at the pictures that you are basically 12 feet apart from the place next to you. So, if you like waking up in the morning, walking outside and smelling the cigarette of the person in the place next to you, feel free.Fair Warning: They have a NO REFUND policy. That means no matter how dissatisfied you are they will not give you even a partial refund! You should see how muddy our van was. I was literally afraid we were going to get stuck. We were told that they were being gracious by offering us another cabin because we chose the one we were supposed to stay in. How would we have any way of knowing that the cabin we chose was in a muddy rut, we have never even seen the place and booking online. The pictures show a gravel road, LIES. There was no gravel to be seen anywhere on around the cabins. As we were on the phone with the manager trying to locate our cabin she kept saying, dont go over the rut. So it was obvious that this was a known problem. The place should not have even had the option to book there property because it was definitely not renter ready. Also, you will need to have your shocks repaired on your car when you go down the main drive to the cabins. It is full of potholes and it was a very rough drive.I implore you to not waste $250 on this RESORT!? The cabins were clean and cozy but, not worth the nightly rate and as soon as we opened the blinds the next morning, the ugliness was relived once again. They offered us a free night stay if we bought another night, why would we want to drive another 4 hours and risk having another bad experience?? We have been emailing back and forth at least 5 times and still they have not even waivered in their NO REFUND policy, just offering to pay a free night, if we give them more money that is. I guess they only apologize halfway.

Beware when making reservations at this resort! You will be given a cabin number and your credit card will be charged for that cabin. Upon my arrival on June 26, 2020 my cabin was changed to a cabin that cost $171.00 less and I was told I would be given an adjustment by management. I wanted my original cabin I reserved and was told it was given to someone else who arrived a day earlier because his was not ready! Despite being told my bridal party agreed to the change, they didn’t pay for my cabin I did and I traveled 8 hours to get there. Almost 2 months later they have not given me an adjustment! My bank card said since I don’t have reservation numbers for all the changes they can’t help, try to handle it with their management. They refuse. Don’t give them your money!!

On top of that, the views for the sunrise & sunsets and boat watching are incredible!! We also really enjoyed the fire pit areas and grilling we had. It was a lot like “glamping”. The staff went above & beyond to help my family have an unforgettable weekend for a surprise 30th birthday and proposal! Stunning views wonderful omnience. Wonderful tiny homes with great amenities, with a full size fridge and a very large microwave. Bathroom is wonderful and does not feel compact even with 5 people in one tiny house. We were still very comfortable, we had two bedrooms and a loft area that was accommodating for all of our needs. Land area was very clean and maintained, but down by the beach there was trash and garbage from where the water had washed trash to the shore. If that could be maintained a little bit better it would be a little nicer. One morning we took a trash bag out and picked up all the trash around the Beach area and came back with a full trash bag. I really enjoyed our time here at Long Cove and plan on coming back sometime soon.

We got married at Long Cove Resort September 21st, 2019. It was amazing! The facilities, the cabins, the pool, the beach, the vibe and the staff were all outstanding and meticulous and it couldnt have turned out better. It wasnt a traditional wedding in that we had the resort essentially for the entire wedding weekend. Out of town guests stayed in the cabins and everyone had rave reviews for Long Cove Resort. Working with the staff was pleasant and they always went the extra mile to make sure our wedding weekend was amazing. I cant say enough good things about our experience and I would highly recommend it for anyone getting married with out of town guests.

We just enjoyed our end of the year/ring in the new year family vacation at Long Cove and we simply enjoyed every bit of this place. Our family of 5 enjoyed this cozy and very comfortable tiny cabin. The cabins are very clean and very well kept. The staff is super friendly and very helpful and checked in on us every now and then just to make sure we were ok. I love the location; it’s serene and peaceful and tucked away from the busyness yet it was close to anything you may need and a simple drive away from the city and any fun-filled adventure that NC brings. My family has been members of long cove for several years to dock our boat, and we have NEVER encountered the extremely disappointing and poor management until recently! Not only is their communication horrendous to inform the members of parking pass requirements, but they have towed our car to make money off of it 🤬 The staff is either poorly trained or pushes off responsibility with excuses because we stopped into the office to get our new sticker parking pass just before going out on the boat, in which we were NOT told where to place the sticker, so we placed in the rear window. AFTER a $300 tow bill, we were told it was to be placed in the front drivers side windshield. In communicating with the towing company, we were told that someone from long cove called to have us towed and that long cove also receives most of the towing money. While speaking to management about a refund for the wrongful towing, because the parking sticker was ON the car, we were told it was our fault and NO refund would be given. I can not believe the amount of excuses this company has come up with and then has the nerve to say “they look out and take care of their members”. That is the biggest slap in the face they could have ever said. Not to mention the bathrooms are gross with clogged toilets and standing water, the road is so rough it could take a tire out, and the pool that we also pay for is never open! This place is tragically going downhill fast, and I hope others decide to enjoy lake Wylie in a different way because this place is a complete waste of money!

My best friend and I decided we wanted to check out somewhere new for a future vacation so we booked a room online for a one night stay. We stayed in number 38 which was a studio. It was very clean and modern as well as nicely decorated. I was pleased with the accommodations. However we were unable to fully enjoy our stay. We drove two hours to get there and stopped to pick up some items before checking in only to have my card declined. When I booked I was under the impression after calling several times with questions that all fees were included in the price of $108 and some change that was quoted to me online. Only to have my card charged $164.81. I immediately called Long Cove Resort and spoke with a man who explained there is an additional resort fee which was never disclosed online nor over the phone. I called several times with questions before booking directly from their website and nobody ever mentioned these additional fees and my confirmation never reflected these fees. I would have never booked had they been disclosed beforehand because I was sticking to a budget. I explained to him that I was not expecting to be charged that much and never authorized that much to be taken off my card. He didn’t seem like he was very concerned with my issue and we were on the phone for a good 15 minutes before he ever offered any solution, he then offered me a 15% discount (which still didn’t compensate for a nearly $55 difference). We had already driven two hours or I would have just had the whole thing refunded and returned home but I wanted to make the best of it so I agreed to the 15% discount and went to check in. While on the way there I checked my bank account again to see if it had been refunded only to find I had been CHARGED an additional 15%, it was reversed immediately but that meant I still hadn’t received any discount. When I arrived I showed the man and woman in the office what was showing in my bank account and they debated with me what was plainly in front of them. I did not want to stand and argue anymore at this point so I told them if wasn’t in there when I went to check out I’d be sure to let them know. The next day at checkout I still hadn’t received a refund to my bank account so at checkout I made them aware and they assured me my money would be back in there sometime that day. We dealt with another young lady this time who was much more pleasant in demeanor, she offered us a gift bag and a discount for a future stay which was appreciated and was the most helpful and genuine out of anyone I have had contact with. I wish I had gotten people’s names but at the time did not think to ask because I was so frustrated with all of the mess. We returned home and I still hadn’t saw a refund so I called the office again, this time I was told to wait 24-48 hours, which I have. I have been in touch with several different people from Long Cove Resort, and have not received a consistent answer from any of them in regards to the situation. They have sent me screenshots showing that they supposedly refunded my money on 10/12/19 which was when we checked in, but is not showing in my bank account nor as a pending transaction when I called my bank just a bit ago. But everything else from that day showed immediately. I am trying to be patient and at this point I am not so much concerned with the money being refunded as I am concerned with all the hassle and confusion and time I’ve had to spend on the phone trying to resolve this matter, and lack of concern or general knowledge from the employees of Long Cove Resort. Not only do I feel deceived I feel hassled and disappointed because in reality I would have loved to return for a longer stay but not after all of the problems I have encountered. I am not leaving this review to ward off any future guests, just want others to be aware of my experience so maybe it won’t happen to them. I will take my money and my vacations somewhere else in the future.

Okay Rebekah. That was pretty unprofessional on your part, being the owner. Dont forget guys it is $160 a night plus taxes and fees....PLUS a random $60 resort fee. Even tho the tiny homes are nice, your staff is very unprofessional and has extremely poor customer service. That is a reflection of you. That hardly justifies staying there for the view. You never refunded the discount you promised. Just because you put some numbers on your computer doesnt mean anything. Wells fargo and the bank statements do. You charged $164 for the room and then CHARGED the 15% discount...then reversed it back. No other credit was made. We paid $164 for the room. You clearly have something to hide or you wouldnt have been so rude. Maybe you should come back from Arizona and find a more competent staff. Oh and buy some new outdoor chairs on your way back because all the ones we were given were broken. And to stay its not affordable for everyone, that shows your character. It has nothing to do with the money. It has everything to do with the hassle we went through and well as the stupidity of the staff. Im not paying you just to sleep in a bed. Im paying you for a great experience and customer service. I guess maybe if we werent so poor we would have had a better experience is what you are saying. This is definitely one of North Carolinas best kept secrets, my fiance and I will be returning with more family. Love the fact that its in the middle of the city so you get the best of both worlds. The Premium Outlets and restaurants are 15 minutes away but the campgrounds are tucked away so well that you do not get the feeling of being in the city. The staff was very sweet and accommodating the cabins are so cute they definitely give you the feeling of tiny homes but the lay out makes it roomy and it gives you everything you need. The only thing that I wish we had more information on was the hiking trails and the date and times for when the Boating Shack is open.

Great place so close to everything but yet you feel so far away from the hustle and bustle of the area. Our tiny house was perfect for our family of 5. Very clean and great bbq options to cookout, perfect views, pool, mini beach on lake, fire pits. What more can you ask for for a nice little get away!

Unorganized booking, they never answer their phone and all email replies are one sentence without a signature. I booked 25 cabins for the guests at my wedding and once I booked 7 rooms they did a rate increase. They said it makes it in demand for that weekend so the price goes up. My guest did not understand why they were paying so much and no one from Long Cove would help me. After three months of trying to go back and forth with Long Cove management and Red Awning we finally had to cancel our stay with them.

Thank you Long Cove Resort for the wonderful weekend! Our group was quite impressed with the tiny house cabins and beautiful views. We rented two cabins for the weekend and loved having a grill right outside our cabin. We enjoyed several camp fires at night! It was a great time of togetherness and teamwork. The first of many visits to Long Cove!

Ive visited this resort twice and was pleased on both trips. There are a few pointers I would like to address. The road to the resort could use some paving. Also we had one remote to the air and heat system in a two bedroom. Instructions on how to use the remote would be helpful. We had to use our own Netflix login on the tv app. Other than that..our trip was amazing.

NYE weekend for a family of 5--2 room Cabin with Loft. We had a great time at Long Cove albeit sub freezing weather. The only reason I didnt post 5 stars is because I have really high expectations and there were little things like...mentioning it was our family and we had kids and we were there to celebrate NYE....it would have been cool to have more than 2 packets of hot cocoa and maybe throw in something special like microwave popcorn or sparklers...but thats just me. ALL that aside we had a 5-STAR time...we just provided the extras ourselves. We had a beachfront bonfire and staff helped gather extra chairs. The cabin was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the lake view was AMAZING!! We will surely be back--especially in the warmer months ahead so we can take advantage of kayak and boat rentals! Grocery store & restaurants are 10min away; Hiking and biking...5 minutes away (plenty of places for kids of all ages to run and play right on the property) They also offer great deals during the off season--Check them out. I would HIGHLY recommend Long Cove Cabins to family and friends.

I spent 5 days with my wife for work. This time instead of staying in a hotel I opted for something different. Deceitful advertising. Poor relationships with third party online booking sites. Impossible to reach someone from Long Cove on the phone. When you do finally reach someone they are rude, condescending, and unaccommodating. The opposite of customer service. Particularly employee Dan, who should not be employed in the hospitality service industry. Not to mention the $69 cleaning fee that comes up after you start the booking process only.Do not book here. Many other great options in the Rock Hill or Charlotte area a few minutes away.****UPDATE****Timothy, the operations manager has been so awesome. After hearing of my experience with Dan he has been super accommodating and tried to make things right. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay at Long Cove this trip but would love to give it a shot in the future. He acknowledged the break down in the system with Expedia’s listing and the unacceptable behavior of Dan. Some of our friends did stay this weekend and said it has been awesome. Thanks, Rebekah & Timothy for reaching out. Glad to know Long Cove does indeed care about customer relations after all.

This is by far the worse hotel resort i experienced both as employee and as a individual . They have roaches for one and they make big mistakes like giving keys to guest when the room hasnt been cleaned yet. Sandra who was the housekeeper manager is a immature woman who I would spit on if I didnt have any sense. When I expressed my concerns to her in a respectful way she told me I was getting nasty with her. She is very forgetful and is not organize. On top of that these people dont even pay there workers on time sometimes. The cable and wifi is awful. They use firestick. It was just an awful experience . And the office manager there is kinda ghetto as well. She has glasses I forgot her name. Go at your own risk. It might work out or it might not. Dont say i didnt warn you.

Spent a week vacation staying at a cabin by the lake. Much better view than a hotel and great for those in love with nature. Suitable for those less inclined for nature also, if you insist on electricity running water and flushable toilets. But for those that like to rough it, you can even through up a tent.

I originally booked the wrong date on Expedia, the staff was super nice and fixed it for me, they even called Expedia and worked with them to change it. When I arrived the road to the resort was in pretty bad shape but not bad enough that my sports car couldn’t make it if I took it slow. At the end of the road it opened up to a quant area that had a pool, and beach access that had chairs and a bone fire place that looked relaxing, I didn’t get to enjoy it because of how cold it was and I had small children but I look forward to enjoying it in the future. Check in was easy and the staff was very nice and accommodating. There is a resort fee but I was notified in email when I got the confirmation and text the day before arriving. Getting to the cabin I was surprised at how spacious it was considering how small it looked lol. It had two bedrooms with a queen bed in each and the rooms didn’t feel cramped or anything. The resort is conveniently right in the middle of me and my boyfriend so we both can travel equal distance to see each other so we definitely plan to be back in the future.

This place is beautiful and unique. (And a genius idea to use tiny homes as a resort.) I booked through Air BNB and they couldnt have been more friendly and helpful. And communicative. The location is amazing, too. It feels like youre in the middle of nowhere, but there is very bustling life five miles away! The cabin I stayed in (10) is exactly as pictured. It was spotless and homey and just such a break from the usual out of town stay. You can park steps from your front porch (yes! a front porch with two adirondack chairs). I honestly loved everything about the cabin. I could see the man-made beach and lake from my porch (and walk to it in minutes). The pool was huge and the lifeguard (wish I had noted his name) was so sweet and friendly. I loved the floors and all of the little touches. They took great care in every detail. Thanks so much for the stay!

BE SURE TO ASK ABOUT THE EUROPEAN TAX ON AMERICAN SOIL!Upon my arrival for check in, my initial thought was Dirty Dancing 2018 style. I was impressed by the view of the lake, and the beautiful tiny houses. I was shown to the cabin, and I thought that it looked amazing. My complaints are these: was given 2 different quotes before I booked. EXTREMELY overpriced, especially for what you are getting. The septic tanks make the whole campground stink. For 2.5 weeks I was provided with 5 towels, 2 bags of coffee and 6 tea bags, and was told that anything beyond this I would need to purchase, good thing that I had brought my own. I was then told that if I wanted the cabin cleaned while I was staying there that it would be an additional fee of $25 each cleaning.... Now, if you stay at a hotel, getting housekeeping is included in the rate. The Wi- Fi did not work, the water was shut off, there was a leak in the septic tank line under the cabin, and who knows what stuff ran off into the lake. But the clincher for me is that while I was still staying at the campground, I received an additional charge of almost $1000 for all these fees that were supposed to be included in my ORIGINAL QUOTE! One of these added fees was for $69.95 for cleaning the place for 2 people, and then another fee for cleaning after a service animal, that both myself and fiance were told was going to be removed because he is a service animal. When I brought this information up to Elaine, I was told that it was going to be refunded, but then once I was gone I received an email stating that the fee was not going to be refunded. This place seems to me that there are too many cooks in the kitchen and I was given conflicting stories each time I spoke with someone different.I am thoroughly disappointed in this place. I could have been treated better and gotten a better rate at the Ritz

My wife and I stayed here for a week in one of the older cabins and had a great time. We were located right next to the dock and were pleasantly surprised at the lack of noise from other people coming and going. The staff were eager to help us navigate the area and gave us many recommendations for local attractions. The grounds were well kept and pest-free.It should be noted that the road to get in and out of the area was in terrible condition. Its not the fault of the Cabins or Marina but it was clear that it hasnt been maintained in a few years - and the community and/or town has done nothing to fix the excessive potholes and eroded gradation. Our cabin was probably the oldest one available and, while we were comfortable, there was clear water damage in the kitchenette that had not been repaired and a smell of mold in the closet. We feel that this did not hinder our experience but we were concerned that other visitors may not be as laid back to the obvious negligent maintenance of the older cabin as we were. The folks at the Marina were awesome and it was easily the highlight of our visit - we will absolutely be coming back to rent kayaks and spend a few days on the lake.

Great tiny house cabins but not a good place to fish. Our tiny house was extremely clean and well-maintained. It looked almost new in fact. It was well-stocked and even had a hair dryer. The linens and towels were a great quality. The bed coverlets were cute. There was nice simple artwork on the walls and the pieces were for sale. The two A/Cs kept us very cool and comfortable. The staff was great when we checked in. The woman from the office walked with me to the cabin and introduced me to the features of the unit. Ive never had anyone do that and I have rented plenty of rooms over the years. The cabin was on a bluff overlooking the lake. It was a very nice view. The place had a nice pool with lifeguards. If I had to find things wrong with the place there were 3 things I didnt like. There was no place to fish. No shoreline available or no pier for fishing. We had to travel to a Duke Energy fishing access area off-site. The beach was very small and was not very nice. The shared driveway into the property was in great condition. This would be a great place for a romantic weekend in the cabin.

Just wanted to say thanks Paul for your helping in renting my Jet Ski slip today. While I was in the office he had two other groups he was helping rent boat slips and I was in and out and on the water riding my ski within 20 minutes. This is my first time renting a slip from Long Cove but had come down there last summer with a friend who had his boat there. A complete 180 change from what I saw last year. They brought in Cabins, jet ski rentals and kayakes. I believ hi can rent boats there as well but not sure. Theyve done a great job utilizing all the space and making it family friendly IMO. I got to check out one of the cabins and it was really cool with water view. I live in Charlotte so I told my family rather than getting a hotel get a quiet place on the lake for the same price. Again thanks Paul for your help today. Look forward to my membership at Long Cove

This resort is NOT dog friendly and feel theyre above the law.
