I highly recommend you continue your search for a professional contractor.DPS built a two story detached garage in my backyard. Their architect and and salesman were so great, which reassured me that all would go really well. I signed the contract for the architectural plans in September 2019.When the work finally started in January 2020 so did the problems. The length of the project was extremely misrepresented (9 months) and I was not informed of the cause of the delays clearly and professionally. (Note: There were minimal delays due to Covid-19)The foundation of the garage was poured well below the grade of my yard causing a terrible drainage issue. I had to fight for months for the correct solutions to be put in place after being told it was “my problem to resolve”. The water and drainage issues were so bad that a sump pump needed to be installed to resolve the water issue around the garage since the foundation was poured too low.The owner of the company is completely disrespectful to me, as his client, and the project managers are very inexperienced. The subcontractors on my property were completely inappropriate. I was threatened on my own front porch by a subcontractor stating that “they were going to put a lien put on my house” because the concrete company wasn’t getting paid by DPS. Another subcontractor asked me for my phone number (yes, to ask me out). When it was reported to the project manager, it was laughed at and dismissed.I don’t want any other families to have to deal with the stress, problems, and delays caused by DPS.The project was just completed March 25, 2021. Making the end to end process drag on for 1 year and 7 months.The owner blamed all the issues on the project managers and claim that the subcontractor have since been fired, but Steve (the owner) is ultimately responsible. He consistently ignored requests and changed plans without notifying me. His response was that he was “spread too thin” and couldn’t provide updates on my property timely.Protect yourself. Please stay far away from this company.

I used this contractor awhile back for basement remodel and had a terrible experience. Lies told and didnt bother to uphold his end of the written agreement. They did more damage then good. Including damaging appliances I had purchased for the remodel. I had to get a replacement contractor to come finish up before selling the house. Finally settled out of court. Beware of this Contractor.

DPS is a great company comprised of people who know their trade. We worked together from developing the plan, and to its implementation. Id say the process was manageable because they are nice and accommodating people who are trying to make the client happy.It really helps that if your are going into a construction project, know what to expect at every stage and keep a close eye at progress. That way you can resolve issues early if they arise, because they inevitably arise.The key to success is to keep the line of communication open. Let them know what youre thinking early, and they will work with you to resolve any issues.Id certainly recommend them to anyone looking to carry out major work on their house.

Signature Exteriors has work with DPS Construction for seven plus years as a subcontractor. We established a very positive working relationship from the start and it has continued. DPS has an excellent attention for detail. We have been able to be a part of very challenging projects that showcase our workmanship.

Steve and his team worked on a master suite addition to our house. While we experienced a few timing setbacks that couldnt be avoided, DPS was patient and worked with us to make things fit our budget. Our project manager was very courteous, patient, and responsive to our requests.

Quality craftsmanship. Steve and his team did an exquisite job building our house. No details were overlooked. They exceeded our expectations and gave us the house of our dreams! I highly recommend DPS.

Weve been using Steve and Co. for renovations and/or additions since 2006, and will continue to do so. Great people.
