If I could give 10 stars I would. Lastisha, Stephanie and Dee have been amazing to me and coming from out of state, picking a place online I’d say it’s a super positive experience! They’ve gone above and beyond to help with with things they don’t have to and answer a lot of questions. It’s so refreshing to meet people who care about the community they are managing and I’m very happy with my choice to live here. You guys ROCK!!

The current maintenance team was very professional while working within our house. They saw the appliances for the very first time and they were able to pinpoint and fix the appliances efficiently. Kudos to them for being professional and friendly !

Im very pleased and satisfied with my apartment. The ladies in the office are really nice and friendly and always doing what they can to take care of any issue. Maintaince are very helpful in checking or repairing problems. So glad to be here at The Brook Apts.

I have been a faithful tenant at the Brooks but I have had an AC issue since the season has changed. It has been as high as at 97 degrees outside and as high as 85 is my apartment. It has been so hot, I have had to stay at a friends house between repairs. In July alone I have spent at least 8 days out of my apartment because of this issue and I asked for a prorated rent and the regional manager did not see fit. The maintenance men admitted to me that my unit needed to be changed but instead of changing it the would do a temporary fix but it got so bad that my unit would freeze and leak water into my carpet.I am not pleased. Let me be clear, I was not looking for a hand out but it doesn’t make sense to pay a I’ll months rent if I haven’t been in the apartment a full month because of their issue.Prayfully this does not happen to anyone else.

The maintenance crew is top notch! They come out within 24 hours. They are all business inside your home. They do the job, do it right, and are on their way in minimal time. Efficient and effective. The property is older but well maintained. Neighbors are that of any complex....a mixed bag! Most are decent and friendly people.

After strolling down reading the reviews I was hesitant as well about moving here. But I took a leap of faith and moved in 11 months ago with my family and I recently renewed my lease for another 13 months.I NEVER EVER seen a cockroaches here or mold plus the apartments are definitely remodel.This is a great community for someone single or has a family its very diverse, quick and clean. The maintenance men are awesome every time I have a problem they rectify the issue fast and respectfully & ladies in the office are amazing they do a terrific job keeping the apartment and the tenants happy Mrs.Nazly Rivera is really sweet and every time me and my daughter go in the offices she remembers her by name and is amazed at how big shes growing and that right there definitely makes you feel like family. As for parking yeah SOMETIMES you have to walk but oh well its exercise something we all need.This is one of the best community to join I promise you.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The parking is horrible, first off. Most of the parking is filled by non residents and the office seems to not care at all about the situation. Parking is my biggest issue. Why should I have to include my car make & model and license plate number etc while all theses “guests” do not. The office called a tow truck on me two days ago because I had to park in an unreserved covered lot at 5:30 am. Since all my car info is in my lease, the office or whoever shouldve notified me before the tow arrived. I had no other option but to park there or on the curb which would result in a tow as well. That incident was the last straw.

The only reason I gave The Brook three stars is their maintenance team. They are great guys and always get everything fixed in a timely manner. My girlfriend and I have been so unpleased with the new management team and is a huge reason that we are leaving. The management team when we first signed our lease a year ago was awesome and a huge reason why we picked this apartment complex. Looking forward to moving out this week and not having to interact with the management team anymore! Not a good move replacing the old staff, thankful that they kept the same maintenance team. So many better options in this area, I would look else where if I were you!

One star was given because there’s not an option for zero.This place is a dump, worst living experience in my entire life, they apparently don’t do background checks, because they let anybody move in. I’ve got a neighbor that uses drugs and the smell often comes into my apt, complained to office staff several times, and was told to call police, so glad my lease is up. There are plenty of other places that are much nicer and more up to date for the price they charge here, so friendly advice keep looking.

Ive been a resident at Oakbrook since December 2014 and I have had a very pleasant experience living here!! Unfortunately, most of the people who take time to write reviews do so when they are not happy with a given service. The folks who are happy dont always take the time to go online and write about it.... Well, I can say that in the 5 months weve been living at Oakbrook, we have had a great experience. The staff is great and very responsive!! There have been some issues, but they ALWAYS take care of these issues right away. Our neighbors are very pleasant people and people are generally friendly. Some people complain about extra charges on your rent bill, well they are referring to their water charge, sewage charge, garbage dispossal charge, etc. These normally add another $50 a month to my bill. Not a big deal to me, but may be for others. Overall, I love Oakbrook and would recommend this place to anyone!!

BEWARE! There is no rent increase regulation in the state of NC. Make sure you ask management what percentage your rent will be increased by when its time for your lease to be renewed.I got into this property on a good promotion, however after my one year lease was up, management raised my rent by 17 percent! Yes, my rent increased by over $110 monthly. I was a good tenant who always paid my rent on time, but of course I had to move. My next door neighbors rent increased by $156 monthly. She also had to move and she was a 66 year old senior citizen.Yeah, watch out for the mice in the attics if you live on the top floor. Not to mention, the ones that race across the ground floor apartment grounds. Actually, after the mice infestation, I was HAPPY to move! This property is NOT all its cracked up to be.

My air conditioner has been out for almost three weeks; I made a number of service calls, in addition to talking with office staff and it has not been repaired nor has anyone be to my apartment to fix it.

Got a showing of this place. It was very unprofessional. Tracy in the front office seemed very distracted. I would ask her questions and she would look off at her computer and say she had to send off an email. After making me, her potential client, wait she then asked me to repeat my questions. Also, theres a 19.99 a month trash fee but thats not trash valet? I would have to still take my trash to the dumpster and pay to do it. Some of the amenities had asterisks next to them, stating that particular one was only available in select units. The amenities list states recently renovated, all black appliances, in all units. However when Holly (who was very nice) showed me the unit, it was musty. It smelled terrible. The appliances were so outdated, the nicest thing in there was a stainless steel sink. I thanked Holly for her time, but I wont be returning.

By far the worst place I have ever lived. If you want to pay $1500 a month for a dump than this is your place. Air conditioning breaks about 4 times a year. The ceiling is leaking from the upstairs bathroom which they came to fix twice already, cockroaches everywhere. The worst part is that the apartments are nothing like the demo one they show you. Im actually considering calling the health Inspector because i am convinced there is mold growing in the apt. Also thinking about seeking legal representation to challenge there horrible and unsafe living conditions.Fyi two weeks later and more phone calls. Still have a broken stove and water damage on the ceiling! Dont move here.

If I could leave a 0 review I would. Do NOT move into this complex under the current management! Milestone Management took over this complex about 2 months ago and I have never seen a worse management! I have lived in this complex 3 years and many apartments before this, but this management has no regard for residents. They will ignore you when you go to the management office, even for a simple question. They enter your apartment without any prior or post notice. They are EXCEPTIONALLY disrespectful to the people who actually live here, while allowing certain residents to breach the lease by running a day care in an apartment and smoking in the stairwell. They do not maintain the grounds anywhere near the standards of the previous companies and will try to charge you for things that you are not responsible for or say that your renters insurance has lapsed and they will automatically charge you for their insurance even when you have sent confirmation of coverage multiple times.

First off, I talked to the call center people and thought it was a hassle and hung up. Patrice from the office called me back and was pleasant and had all the info I needed, Showed me several units, didnt rush and really had a great attitude. She had me set up and approved by the time I left.

This is the 3rd time I have renewed my lease and I honestly regret it. Office staff are inconsiderate and could honestly care less with any issues, big or small, you may have. Maintenance has entered my apartment without my knowledge, any updates to the apartment by any other company has entered my apartment without my knowledge. I’ve been asking for a filter for my AC for about three or four months now and I’ve been told that they are on back order. Today I go to the office to ask if there’s any filters now and at 1:30 in the afternoon the office doors were locked. The maintenance golf cart was parked outside and had a brand new air filter on the back of it and an unopened bottle of beer in the cup holder. (Believe I took pictures of this) WHY IS IT SO HARD TO DO THE JOB YOU WERE GIVEN!

I would not recommend this place to anybody. Complained the office for maintenance problem and the guy hasn’t came to fix it yet, it’s have been 3 month. I would personally put 0 but their is no option. The worst place to live, and the staff in the office is horrible. Neighbors are very loud smoking and drinking every where, their is nothing Staff members can’t do about that.

NO STARS for this property manager and maintenance crew. The pool is so contaminated it is murky green, and has been unusable most of the summer. The office has work orders for repairs in my apartment that are more than six months old. Many of my neighbors have similar complaints.

This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in and cannot wait until my lease is up. The office staff are miserable and inconsiderate. If anything goes wrong with your apartment they make it seem like its your fault and you should fix it. I hate this place and would not tell my worst enemy to move in here. I have seriously thought about posting signs telling people to stay away. For your sake PLEASE STAY AWAY

Neighbors extremely noisy, you can hear everything. Complained to office staff and they said call the police. Office staff continuously changed - never the same person more than a few months. Rent is misleading - extra hidden charges included that were not disclosed up front. And finally overcharged me for my lease, which theres nothing I can do about.

Well now this new company has bought out the previous company Oakbrook this place is worse than it was. I cannot wait to move out of here. Its 92 degrees and the pool looks like its gone through winter. The pool is disgusting, the cockroaches that invade you home are disgusting and the amount Im paying I should be living in Ballentyne or South Park!!

If you don’t mind having roaches inside and outside of your apartment and having an incompetent staff, multiple items broken and rarely fixed, rude uneducated maintenance, dog feces everywhere since they refuse to provide bags and clean out the dog stations, not receiving your deposit back and lied to about how to make your last payment and turned over to collections because of their mistake then this is a great place to live.
