We are so glad our photographer cancelled last min and we hired Dennis and he was available to accommodate us. Dennis is simply the best and I cannot recommend him enough. He exceeded our expectations! He did an absolutely amazing job with our engagement photos, rehearsal dinner, and wedding photos. Not only is the quality superior to others, BUT HE MAKES TAKING PHOTOS FUN AND MADE US LOOK GOOD! My husband hates taking photos, but loved working with Dennis because he constantly made us laugh. As a result, all of our photos have genuine smiles instead of forced, fake smiles. Dennis also did a fantastic job working with our little ring bearers and flower girls (age range 2-8) that were a little cranky and tired of photos. Because of Dennis, they went from crying to giggling, and the photos turned out adorable. Dennis was also our ONLY vendor that did not charge us a “postponement fee” when we rescheduled from March 2020 wedding to May 2021, which really meant a lot to us. His second shooter is also amazing as well (so sorry I forgot her name). Dennis always responded timely to my emails and texts and arrived 30+mins early to each session. So many of our guests asked me for Dennis’s contact info after the wedding because they wanted to book him for their engagement/wedding/family photos. Again, Dennis is simply the best!

My wife and I have never really felt comfortable getting our pictures taken, even on special occasions. Dennis did a wonderful job putting us at ease and finding comfortable poses for us. We appreciate his diligence in ensuring we had a positive experience and his talents to capture the special moments. He gave us some of the best pictures weve had taken together in years!

My fiancee and I had such an incredible engagement session with Dennis today. We have already received our gallery of photos and couldnt be happier with the results. We wanted to get our engagement pictures done as soon as possible and Dennis was very quick to respond to messages and to schedule our shoot. We wanted to incorporate our dogs in to our photos and he got great shots with them. He definitely went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with our photos. Where do I start. I felt like I have known Dennis for years. He has a great personality. His motto is BRING YOUR SMILE AND I WILL BRING THE REST. He did just that. We have used Denis twice for family photo sessions. His work was nothing less than fantastic and he left us with too many wonderful shots to choose from. He is particularly good with children and is patient with the most demanding of family members. We booked him for 2 hours last Thanksgiving morning and kept him for 3 1/2. My hubby and I did the love story package. I admit at first I was dreading doing this. I never seem to look great in photos, but after seeing the magic Dennis pulled off, I am so glad I did this photo shoot. I was amazed. Really! He is hilarious, which makes the experience, so much fun. It was not uncomfortable, one bit. He was even fantastic with our dogs, who can be a handful. I have been raving about him, since taking the session. From, knowing great poses, where to shoot, action shots. I could go on and on about how experienced he is. We really had alot of fun. I wish all our past photo sessions with other photographers were this good. At least, we have found the Best in Charleston.

I was looking for a reasonably priced photographer for a reunion of 12 college friends and Im so glad I found Dennis! He came to Hilton Head and taught us how to pose in order to accentuate our best features. We had so much fun and were absolutely thrilled with the results. He is responsive and easy to work with. We decided to do a down town photo shoot with our dog, and while that would normally be very difficult, Dennis was amazing. He had all kinds of ideas about how to get me and my husband out of our shell. The entire shoot was relaxed and full of laughter. Dennis was absolutely fabulous to work with!! I’m a local wedding planner here in Charleston that had the pleasure of doing an engagement session with him! I have always hated getting my picture taken and I was really dreading this shoot. But after working with Dennis at Charleston Photo Art, I now have a new attitude! Dennis is as much a Director as he is a Photographer. He treated us like professional models and made sure we were in the right spot, with the right pose, the right lighting, and the right angle when the camera started rolling. He actually made me look good! Had lots of fun. Got tons of great photos. And I have a happy wife.
