Its the best way to see Charleston, put it on your must to do list. It is a fun experience. It is also, the easiest way to get around. When you call for a bike taxi, you wont wait long. But, get a quote from your driver before you take off.

We had been walking for miles. It was hot 🥵🥵. Saw one empty coming down the street asked for a ride. He was so nice. Very friendly and only coast 7 bucks a person. For me it was the cheapest and most fun way to get around in historical Charleston. However you are supposed to call the phone number and book them that way. And make sure you tip them. They are working hard and we are not light. Lol. But do try them out. Most fun

A great alternative to Uber. But we used this service to see more of the city! Ask for a guide who knows the city well and you’ll be in for a treat! Highly recommended!!

Used them 4 or 5 times while I was on vacation there in Charleston. A phone call where a real person answered, then the longest we waited was only 8 minutes. All the drivers were courteous and friendly, and showed us some good shortcuts when we did walk. Great service to use.

We called them to pick us up in approx 30 min. They told us to call back 10 min prior to requiring pickup. So we did. They gave us an ETA of 8-10 min. We waited outside of our location for 30 min before they finally showed up. We had to cancel our reservation due to this. Don’t use them if you need to get somewhere on time.

And Bobby made my sons Birthday he got us to a toy store that was closing in 15 min on time with exactly the toy my son was looking for I will forever remember these gentlemen and their extensive knowledge and great conversation I consider them both to be new friends and can’t wait to see them again. If you want to experience Charleston these guys will ensure you have the best time ever. Also it’s cheaper than Uber, taxis, as well as faster and way more fun I can’t say enough great things about Jamie and his colleagues. This was the coolest experience of Charleston. We took the bike taxi multiple times while visiting Charleston, more so just to ride around and look at the area. We did have one guy who gave us a complete tour of Charleston and told us the history while letting us stop and take pix! Will definitely recommend and use them again!

Our first ever bike taxi ride was a real treat. After spending several house touring we were spent and decided to try a bike taxi ride. We were greeted by Halloway of the Charlestown Bike Taxi company and we were soon on our way. He was very friendly and answered all our ?? About how he got started in the business. Our taxi driver, Emma, has nerves of steel and legs of iron! She maneuvered through the streets of Charleston along with the cars, trucks and busses like a boss! I highly recommend taking a tour via Bike Taxi.

We have taken bike taxis twice through CBT now and had great experiences both times. Our drivers were Garrett and George and they were both very friendly and made the rides fun and special for our 8 year-old. George even had a blanket for us for the cold evening, and made the ride so enjoyable that we ended up spending an hour on the bike versus the 20 minutes we originally thought we may do. We loved it! We will definitely look specifically for CBT the next time we want a bike taxi.

We rode with Kirby! After a long day of walking around Charleston, we were dead on our feet. Kirby gave us a ride from Liberty Square (Fort Sumter monument) to the city market. He was great and chatted with us along the way and offered us his card to pick us up later if needed! Great service all around!

Our daughter insisted on taking a bike taxi home from lunch. We called and they couldn’t have been more friendly and prompt. Thanks guys! We would definitely call you over Uber!

Our driver was lovely, but I have a hard time paying $20 for a 3 minute ride. I have a terribly sprained ankle and couldn’t make it the few block back to our hotel. Couldn’t even believe it when he said the fare was $20, when the ride was 3 minutes long at the most. Totally overpriced. Nice to be outside but an Uber would have cost 1/2 the price at most.

Fun Ride

My girlfriend and I were in town for a weekend and we used Bike Taxi to our full advantage. We used them while we shopped making it much easier for us to get from store to store while dodging heavy foot traffic on King. The best part were the extended scenic rides around the battery and through city streets we didn’t even know existed! To top it off the customer service was excellent! Make sure to get the ones in the yellow shirts!

My wife and I had a great experience while in Charleston using the bike taxis! Our drivers we’re each very knowledgeable of all of the best bars and restaurants in the downtown area!

Called for a bike taxi and was picked up within 5 minutes, when car cabs were telling me 45min plus wait for service. The driver was a local and gave us a few great recommendations for lunch/dinner along the way, ended up being some of the best meals during our stay and were places we had not heard of at that. Used the same driver several times through the week; we couldnt be more pleased with our experience.

Worst transportation ever. The bike we rode in was squeaky and grinding the entire time. The seat cushion was non existent, very uncomfortable and felt every bump in the road. I emailed the owner about the quality of his bikes and I got no response. Weaving in and out of traffic, I did not feel safe and the rider informed us how multiple riders have been hurt due to malfunctioning chains and gears or lack of quality parts when i asked if anyone had ever gotten hurt, whether a rider or passenger. I will walk or take a cab from now on, and as a local business owner, I will never recommend and warn my friends about this company.

We were pressed for time and on foot when we hailed a bike taxi. The driver got us to our destination with time to spare. It was a great ride! 10/10 would do again!

Worst Peddy cab experience ever. I have use many peddy cabs over the years when I come to visit Savannah in Georgia and have always had a really fun experience. When we came down to get our cab that we ordered he was in the hotel eating the hotel cookies. There was my husband and I and we were staying and downtown historic Charleston and just wanted a ride to battery park and back . The Peddy cab drivers name was David. Less then a hour later he got us back , I handed him $20 and was ready to hire him for later that night. He then said we owed him $30... I disagreed with the charge and he threatened to call the police!! I was in shock and asked him to give me a price menu for a $30 ride. Of course he had none. In the end he his $30 but lost our business. Ill find another peddy cab company.
