My daughter absolutely loves sewing class at Five Eighth Seams! She loved her September classes so much shes asked to go again in October. I love that she is learning how to sew.

I absolutely love this place. As soon as you walk in the door it feels like youre at home. Everyone is so nice and ready to help. They are very knowledgeable about what you may need for whatever project you may be working on. They are always ready to help you with any questions you may have. I have taken the just basics and now I am in the sewing 101 5 week class, both with Michelle. After 101 I will be in the knits class, also with Michelle who is pretty darn awesome by the way. She is a great teacher, very knowledgeable and patient. Im pretty sure Ill be taking classes here for a while, Ive learned so much already.

I always have a great experience at Five Eighth Seams! I really appreciate that they carry more than just quilters cottons and Big 4 patterns, and I have found beautiful apparel fabrics and cute indie patterns here. When I do buy quilters cotton, the quality is very clearly a step up from what you’ll find at bigger chains. The staff is incredibly helpful and goes out of their way to make sure their customers always find what they need. Definitely a little on the pricey side, but that is to be expected of a local shop, and the quality of the products and customer service is well worth it!

I am taking one of the classes that are hosted here. Having a great time learning a new skill. The staff is very friendly and easy to work with. I also am able to find all that I need for my first sewing kit at a reasonable price. Recommended.

Ive frequented this store for 10 years and cant believe Im just now leaving a review. I am still an amateur because I dont have much time to devote to sewing right now, but when I do, the staff is so helpful, kind, and patient. Ive taken a few classes and have learned so much. There are so many fun and unique fabrics that I often spend way too much time trying to decide what fabric I want to use! Prices are good and there is a large selection of fabrics, machines, and other necessities. A must-go!

This was my first time in your store (as I was from out of town - Atlanta) and I was so delighted to see all the beautiful in-stock fabrics on display! A very impressive collection. It was difficult for me to choose just a few fabrics 😍 , but this summery crab-themed print was so adorable I couldnt pass it up. Now, it is among the many styles of dog bandanas that I have listed in my Etsy shop (Fetching Friends). Just in time for some sizzling summer fun!

This shop and staff are wonderful. The fabrics are the best quality with lots to choose from either woven or knit. They are able to walk you through their fine selection of machines to find your best options. Whether busy or not the sales staff are available to help with all of your sewing questions or concerns. And there are classes!

Love this place! Its a little tricky to spot if you dont know where youre going but once you find the tiny corner it on, the staff and fabric/notions are perfect! I came here looking for a spot that I could buy fun new fabric and patterns in an effort to avoid Joanns and boy am I happy I found 5/8th Seams! I’ve been taking sewing lessons with Michelle since last fall and cannot say enough about Five Eighth Seams. The classes are offered at a great price, the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and friendly along with everyone else who works in the store. I appreciate a place where they take the time to help you find the items you need to complete a project, answer any questions you may have and throw in a couple of tips along the way.

I have been a customer of 5/8ths from the very beginning 10 years ago. During that time, Ive bought a sewing machine, had machines serviced, bought attachments for my viking machines, taken classes, and purchased notions, patterns and more than a few yards of fabric. Every experience has been top notch, and I know Im getting quality merchandise! Friendly, helpful staff and teachers. Love the atmosphere of the shop - so much nicer than a chain store, and the sewing room is great to work in. Lots of space and all the supplies you need at your fingertips. The merchandise is high quality, too, and the clerks will help you find just exactly what you need. Fantastic place to get all of your sewing supplies. Great summer camps for children to learn to sew. The teachers have patience to teach the young ones to sew.. The employers are always ready to help you in any way.

My daughter took a sewing camp here this summer. She had a blast and felt very accomplished sewing her pillow case and tote bag.

Five Eighth Seams is like a candy store for sewing enthusiasts. The fabrics are a nicer quality than the chain store brands and the staff remember you. Not like the take-a-number well get to you eventually stores! Always helpful when you have a problem for which you need an answer...and did I say the material is like trying to choose which candy you like best?

Love this store! I always feel so welcomed when I go and the ladies are amazing. I wish there was more of a knit selection as I mainly sew knit clothing, but its growing and they have stuff other stores dont.

Love this shop! A few years ago, I took a beginners sewing classes here which was really helpful in learning some basic skills. Since then, Ive gotten a little better with practice and have made several face masks, some pillow covers, and even altered a few items in my wardrobe. They also have the best fabric selection in town, so Im here whenever I need new fabric for masks! Highly recommend.

The staff are so wonderful and friendly and I always am glad to have a reason to go get something from 5/8ths seams. The fabric choices for garments and quilting are interesting, varied and beautiful. Im so glad this store is close to me but it would be worth the trip if it werent!

The best fabric, quilting, embroidery store in town. I bought a HusqvarnaViking, Brilliance 80 last year, and anything I need for projects can be found at Five Eight Seams. Plus I can have one on one training sessions with the staff anytime I need help figuring out the machines capabilities. It does so much and so well!The staff is great and very knowledgeable of many types of sewing projects, from accessories to zippers.Thank goodness Five Eight Seams has stayed open doing the pandemic, offering any sewing supplies and advice needed. And they dont mind being called for any question I might have. Dont now what I would have done without them.

I love the personalized service I get here. When I purchased my machine the staff sat down with me and made sure I knew how to use the machine before I took it home. They are always great about answering any questions I have. The fabric quality and selection is outstanding.

I love going to Five Eighth Seams! I took a mask I embroidered to show and I wanted to purchase some plain, white 100% cotton for more masks. I purchased mask motifs from Emblibrary.com and they really need white fabric to set off the embroidery. Plus, I went to pick up a free spool of thread as my birthday is next week. I had a delightful conversation with one of the clerks. It was so nice to talk about embroidery!

I could spend all day in Five Eighth Seams. The store is lovely and beautiful. The customer service is excellent. They are always willing and able to answer questions. The classes are taught by skilled lovers of sewing. I highly recommend this business to anyone who loves sewing or fabric!

Quick service and delivery!I ordered a few items online and they came extremely quick! I ordered two sewing kits for my nieces for Christmas, they came in the cutest package! Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Always a nice selection of cottons and blends as well as knits. I purchased a Pfaff Performance 5.2 from here several years ago. I noticed an issue soon after purchase and they repaired the machine and I continue to have happy sewing days!

I have visited on a few occasions and i have found the front store staff to be very dismissive and impatient. I first visited for an intro lesson, but decided not to continue with classes after a few interactions with the clerks. Its a shame really because the instructors are really friendly and helpful, but the other staff need customer service training and to treat all customers with respect.
