The review that I was going to leave - someone posted similar. WOW - Yes, upon arriving early - I was told things were going to take a few minutes - but it was certainly dragged and I was disappointed that there were other workers in the back… so there was no need for all of that and being the first customer… He told me to put my feet in the water and it was COLD - I’ve never experienced that no offense- but it wasn’t warm or anything and I played it off like ohhh this is cold like literally this is cold - the guy did not seem to care or acknowledge it and then changed it when he was ready - he over filed my nails - they barley lasted two weeks, he hurt me… This was the worst experience I’ve had at a nail salon and just like the other person said - it’s not worth the money and I will not be coming back.

Disappointing. It started very nice. Had a manicure, excellent work on my cuticles, very good massage and dead skin removal after the hot wrap. Paid with tip before my nails were painted to prevent messing them up annnnd then it went down from there. Color was thin in areas and not very even. I waited for 15 minutes while they dried - not at the fan/light table resting them, but holding them up to a fan. No top coat. I heard other customers asking if they were going to paint on a top coat only to be told after they dried. After waiting that long I was dismissed. Normally I would speak up, but honestly, after waiting that long, I was done. Initially I was excited thinking I had a new spot to go too, but not now. Maybe they were just having a bad night?

Absolutely love this nail salon great customer service friendly atmosphere and they do an amazing job. I will definitely be returning.. Highly recommend this place for your nails and pedicures you wont be disappointed.

Not horrible but not great and not what we wanted. We arrived at opening, and it took a few minutes to be greeted. We were told 15 minutes. Okay, no problem. We went back for our manis, and told them our colors.My right hand grows faster than my left, and I always get them cut to match and filed to square round before painting. My nail tech never asked what shape, what length, if I wanted a cut down....nothing. She did the barest mani, painted them somewhat sloppy and slapped me with the bill. Like I said, not horrible but I have my own sets at home, and they looked literally exactly how I can do myself. I looked forward to getting my nails done because they shape and file them which Im not great at. My friend wanted pink tips, and they just painted her whole nail pink. She even showed a picture of what she wanted, but her nail tech didnt really look. He also didnt ask her length or shape. He just did her nails and didnt say a single word to her. We were kind of taken aback by it all. We werent completely disappointed...they look decent, but we will not be going back to this salon, and I do not recommend it. 100% not worth the money.

This place was absolutely phenomenal. When I stepped in the receptionist was very customer friendly, and my nail technician was Sally; her customer service was above and beyond. She held a great conversation and her work was immaculate. Ill for sure be back next time Im in Charleston and I highly recommend!

This nail salon was exceptional. I am getting married this week and generally dont get my nails done. My fiance came with me for a pedicure and I did my nails. Danle worked on my nails and she did an exceptional job! I enjoyed her sharing stories with us. Jenni did my fiances pedicure and he really enjoyed the experience. I would recommend this salon and I will definitely come again.

I got a gel manicure here, and it was simultaneously the worst and most expensive manicure I’ve gotten. I was charged $38, normally I pay around $25. My nails are short and I only do one color, no designs. My hands are a little bit dry and I had a hang nail or two prior to coming, and while filing down my old gel polish, I actually started bleeding on two different fingers because the file kept scraping against my skin. The manicurist asking if my fingers were already bleeding like that when I came in. They weren’t. Then said it was because my skin was too dry and sensitive. She never apologized. My skin is pretty dry year round, however I’ve never had this happen in a professional salon.At the end of the visit my nails didn’t even look good, I could have given my self a better manicure, however I don’t have the UV light to do gel myself.

Had a random picture that I saw on Pinterest and Ms. Sally went beyond my expectations!! She was very polite and my nails look AMAZING!!! Will definitely come back next month!

I called in to get some pricing information on services and they were incredibly unhelpful and rude. The only way I could get pricing on their services was the physically come into the store. It should be fairly simple to upload an image onto their FB page with their services and pricing. Having the first interaction being a rude one, its hard to want to now come into the salon.

Made an appointment same day and they started working on us as soon as we arrived! Henry did an amazing job on my toes and my nails. He talked me into the dip powder and my nails feel so strong and durable! Not to mention, extremely beautiful!!! :)I also received a mimosa during the pedicure and it was great. Definitely an amazing experience, and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing detail and a good pampering.The only complaint I have is that they didnt have a website! It would have been nice to see what the prices were before I paid. You guys should hire someone to create a website to help promote your amazing business and show off your great work- it will definitely help!!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars because Henry was simply spectacular. If youve follow my reviews here on Google Maps, #ayterrell , then you know I am SUPER HUGE on customer service. Henry brings a new word to customer service. He educates and informs you on what he is doing during the ENTIRE process. Henry makes you feel so welcome and comfortable. I went there to get a french mani and pedi, and the results was beyond perfection. The attention he gave to both my hands and feet, literally made Veda Nail Spa the ONLY nail spa I will ever visit here in Charleston, SC. I refuse to try any other place because the inviting atmosphere here makes me want to come back and experience more. Fantastic work Henry! :-)

I had a good experience except they couldn’t even do the nails i wanted then I paid over $140 for some acrylic basic nails and gel polish white toe nails, I will not be returning the prices are ridiculously high and not worth the serviced I got. Truthfully don’t even like the nails I got done not at all what I wanted. and charged extra for a design which was just one color different polish

My husband and I went it today for the first time and I havent gotten my nails done in years but we both got pedicures and I got a full set of nails also. All the staff was great and we were both so happy leaving and its was about average in price for whst I remember but very good and worth every penny ! We will be back !

So many things went wrong with my experience here. I will never go back and recommend you reconsider your patronage here. Less than a week after getting SNS/dipping here, my nails have chipped at no fault of my own. I would hope spending $50 on a service would last me much longer than 6 days. That is absolutely mind blowing. Not to mention I called ahead of time to get this service and still had to wait in addition to receiving a very low quality manicure that left my cuticles in more pain then when I arrived. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

The quality of the acrylic nails I received from this business was very good. However, the staff were a bit abrupt, so prepare yourself for a customer service experience that focuses on the end product, less on the personable interactions.

What a beautiful salon....but that is where the beauty ends. I just received a horrendous manicure. The whole experience itself was not up to par and I was slightly dissapointed but when I looked down at my nails and saw that there is literally nail polish painted over cuticle like I did them myself with my non dominant hand in a rush I just cant be silent. What is the point of going to get a manicure if it doesnt look better then letting your 5 year old neice take a wack at your nails.

Since moving back to the area a year ago, I’ve tried several different nail spas and Veda has definitely been on of my best experiences! The customer service was great and my technician, Tommy, completed my service just as I asked. I will definitely be back.

Veda is a most welcoming place! John, Jenny and the rest of the crew are great. Veda is clean, spacious and when you wait, if you have to, it is a very pleasant atmosphere. I used to go to Luxia, which is owned by the same family, but now go to Veda because it is closer to home. Any of their spas are awesome!

Henry Le gave me the best pedicure I’ve ever had! I booked an appointment with him because of all of the great reviews mentioning him. He really took his time and the massage was amazing. I’m pregnant and on my feet a lot and it was just what I needed. Very relaxing! I’ll be seeing him every time I come in for a pedicure now.

Beautiful salon and friendly staff. Henry did my manicure while Ken did my pedicure and they both did a wonderful job. They gave me a towel to cover my legs since my skirt was riding up and opened a fresh pack of tools for me. The whole place was clean and they even pit a plastic bag in the foot bin so you dont have to worry about catching anything here. The prices are reasonable too. It was less than $60 for a basic manicure and pedicure but they have a ton of options. I will be coming back and recommending this place to my friends and family.

I had my first manicure here thirteen days ago with Henry Li. I got a regular manicure (not gel or dip) and just this morning I noticed the first chipping of my index fingers. This is super impressive- most places tell you a regular manicure will only last 2-3 days which is irritating, in an attempt to get you to do gel. Often, it truly does last only a couple of days. Henry did a great job, was fast, and I am super pleased. I’ve been looking for a great place on James Island, haven’t been able to find anything- this place is well worth the drive to West Ashley.

A bit pricey, but its worth it. Henry is the best!! He takes his time with his customers, and makes sure your nails are perfect.

Came in with my dad for pedicures without an appointment and they helped us right away. They nail tech did a great job and I really enjoyed my hot stone pedicure. The salon was very clean and the pedicure chairs were comfortable. I would definitely come back.

I stopped in before boarding a cruise and was immediately fit into their schedule. I received a cut down of my nails and an eyebrow wax. The salon is so clean! The floors were literally sparkling as I walked in! The staff were so friendly and professional about their work, and even suggested local tours and restaurants to fill our time here in Charleston!

Just paid $65 for a pedicure, basic $35 pedicure, used gel polish, and obviously got charged $30 extra dollars for that. Then French gel polish manicure was $43...how is a pedicure More expensive thank a manicure? Gel on both?? Makes absolutely no sense and although the work may be great, they should absolutely say prices before they just do it. $143 for a regular pedicure, and gel pedi/mani...never again...

Great service but pedicure didn’t last.

I went to Veda for the first time on Sunday and was greatly disappointed. Although I made an appointment the day before, when i arrived it took a while for someone to acknowledge me and then they made me sit in a pedicure chair for 10 minutes before Henry came to me. Although Henry was very pleasant he was in a great rush with both the pedicure and manicure and i was not relaxed at all. I was also surprised that only one coat of polish is a standard practice (at least with Henry) - I never encountered this before at any nail spas I have gone to.

Update: after having my nails removed I had contracted a nail fungus. My Middle and ring finger on both hands. Will upload pictures soon.For the price this salon isn’t worth it. I was not impressed with our nails; in addition to the absurd price. Ironically, their system was down and they would only except cash. They didn’t think to disclose this information until it was time to pay. Coincidentally there’s a bank in the next parking lot which I had to have my daughter walk to I order to withdraw cash. The pedicure itself was 45$, the gel polish was an additional 25$. So 70$ total for a pedicure per person. It was one charge after another. When did a FULL set NOT include shaping or polishing your nails? Isn’t that expected in a “FULL SET.” I have no problem paying for a service when it is done to my standard. I will stick to “Posh” nail salon on Daniel Island. Better service, clear pricing, super sanitary, and I pay less. Bonus, their system always works so I can pay with my bank card.

First visit today for UV Gel Manicure. Last time I will ever step foot in this salon as I had the misfortune of landing John as my nail technician. From the moment I arrived he was unbelievably rude, unfriendly and downright nasty. No idea why. Never have I been treated so poorly by a service provider and with no apparent reason. Must have been having a bad day. Gee, awfully sorry John.Was actually looking forward to a quality gel manicure at an upscale, clean salon. Should add that the other nail technicians appeared far more polite, pleasant and focused. Instead I had to contend with a surly, angry young man who delivered an average service at best and wrapped up the experience by refusing to apply lotion as he argued it was not included in my $54 manicure. No words to convey how outrageous and extreme his behavior was both in terms of the service and overall. Early on, I politely asked if I could place my handbag -brand new and high quality - on the empty chair next to me. He literally yanked it out of my hand aggressively and awkwardly jammed the handles onto the back of my chair. I was speechless.As I approached counter to pay, I firmly but quietly requested to speak with the manager. Nasty John suddenly looked completely taken aback, shook his head and insisted in a low whisper that he was the Manager. Then said he didnt want my money. ????? Is that your oafish attempt to apologize for your behavior? Not looking for a freebie. I paid and left. Not sure what the situation is but frankly could care less. Horrible person, horrible experience.

This USED to be my favorite salon - today - Saturday July 20th not so much. Had to ask 2x for my drink - had to ask to please polish the top of the top which he did but only half - the women do a great job in there - the men I’ve had are not so hot. For $46 you should feel like it’s right - now I have to go find polish to match and fix it!

If you want your feet to look like they did when you came in, this is your place. They asked if I wanted to pay and charged my card without giving me the total. Which Is weird to me personally. I got my pedicure. After nicely discussing with them I wasn’t happy, they offered me money back. Then took that back quickly saying they will fix it. I told them I didn’t have time nor did I want to spend another minute in their salon. They told me that they wouldn’t give me money back. Then the woman who did my daughters nails decided she wanted to explain to me while screaming in my face what she actually did to my child’s feet. We walked out. I will never return to this salon. Such a shame because I had high hopes.

If you are a picky/OCD type of person and require a lot of patience go to Henry!! He was amazing! I had a great experience with him he understood me and was very detailed with what I wanted. New to west ashley area. Coworker recommended. I was impressed with the entire place. Clean, orderly, professional atmosphere. It was quiet so i could actually relax during services. No nasty chemical smell either. Just a WOW factor, start to finish. Be sure to be generous with the gratuity for the techs. Cant wait to return :)

Worst nail salon experience ever. Ive been getting dip powder for years, all over the world. The nail tech at Veda soaked off my polish and then told me the dip plus design would be $95! They wanted to charge me $10 for LENGTH. Ive never heard of this before. I asked to speak to a manager and the nail tech told me she couldnt work with me because I was too difficult. I wanted dipped nude nails with some gold flake - no design, no painting, little effort and $95?! I left and went to Royal nails down th street. Quinn gave me the most excellent dip manicure and I tipped her $50 for the holidays. Dont go to Veda! Go to royal.

This is my first visit and I absolutely love it. When my friend and I arrived, we were warmly greeted and asked what services we wanted to receive. My friend and I both got pedis and were promptly seated in comfortable massage chairs.We both got the jelly pedicure, which can with a complimentary mimosa or wine of choice. The pedicure itself was great. The water was a perfect temperature and my pedicurist even helped me find another color when the one I picked out didnt work out.Overall this was a very positive experience and I highly recommend this salon. Great customer service, professional nail service and overall a great atmosphere make this place a great choice.
