Horrible ! Blood on the curtains the bathroom had a punch in the tile one towel in the bathroom. I moved rooms 3 times because of how gross it was that took 1 hr then to connect to internet i was on the phone with them for 20 mins.the shower has toothpaste (or whatever it may be)all over the curtain. There was no hand soap provided. The staff was beyond rude at the front desk. I will never go here and I’m going to make sure everyone on my social media knows about this as well as on places not to stay in Charleston WV. 1/10 horrid!!! I have never in my life been treated so poorly from a hotel I’m paying for! No help with moving the rooms 3 Times either. Never go here!!! I hope this hotel gets shut down it’s disgusting!!! And not following the Covid cdc guidelines!!!

What a beautiful area!!This has to be the best Hampton Inn that we have ever stayed at. They use to have a good reputation but many years ago. We had stopped going to Hampton’s because they were old and dirty. This was the exception. Great staff, great clean comfortable room. We will stop in again on our way back through.

Positive: This was the best appointed room Ive ever had even among four store hotels. I loved it so much I extended my stay. Parking was easy and NH inexpensive. Food was available for all meals and the staff was great. Negative: Understandably, the need for heat in May was likely unexpected and a year plus of no or reduced business calls for cost savings measures, but no heat meat a very cold night. A heater was provided the second night upon request.

We stayed one Saturday night at this hotel. It was like a ghost town on this side of town, but the room was perfect. It also upset my husband that parking was $15 even though no one was around. But the highlight of our stay was the service by Jeremy. He makes sure every guest gets a ride to the fun side of town. He dropped us off at the Hale zHouse...food was super. Thank you, Jeremy for making our stay a lot of fun. You dont have to drink and drive...Jeremy will pick you up.

My husband and I booked a king size room, so that is what I expected when we got there to check in but they tell us all the king size rooms are all sold out so they have to put us in a double room. I needed a room to stay in, but yet they still charge me the same price for a smaller room? We go down to breakfast in the morning and they bring a bill over for $28, our original king size room came with breakfast so my husband went to the desk to talk to someone and the guy was so rude to him, he kept interrupting my husband asking what room number and after he finally let him explain he told him “just stop”. They did take our breakfast charge off but the rudeness was not necessary. For the price the room was not that great. I’ll never stay here again.

Top notch customer service. I misbooked dates online and Neil at the front desk was completely accommodating in getting us the room we needed. Jeremy greeted us with a smile and was a huge help in getting all of our gear to the room before we got up there, he even went through the trouble of filling up our ice bucket. We had a long day in the car getting here on a cross country trip and the folks we encountered made us feel welcome. Our room was nice to boot and the food from the restauran/bar was surprisingly good as well.

This stay was definitely NOT worth $200, it wasn’t even worth $100! The room was mediocre, the outside was terribly dirty, the service was AWFUL (with the exception of the person that checked us in) the pool was tiny, and the breakfast buffet cost $14!! Needless to say we did NOT eat there. I would have chose to stay elsewhere but we were so tired from a week of vacation and day of driving with another day of driving to wake up to. Word of advise, have an idea of where you want to stay🤦🏽‍♀️🥴

They don’t even watch THEIR garage to make sure THEIR guest cars are left alone. Rooms aren’t that nice for the price, breakfast is trash for the price, they charged my card twice for breakfast and the parking in which my car got broken into. A relatively decent hotel. It was a little outdated with a lot of old carpets, lime green apholstry, and carpets, and furniture. It was great to be attached to a garage and be able to park right there. If you hadnt a large truck or uhaul, ask the desk where to park rather than driving in circles in the one way disaster that is the local area. The hotel has a small convenience area and 3 elevators and a large lobby. The bed was comfortable and the pressure in the shower was amazing. It was insanely good.I really hate the traffic and busy area around, but if youre going to be there anyway its a great place to stay.

Being a Marriott member and staying at more properties than I can count this is by far the worst I’ve ever stayed at. The whole floor we stayed on smelled like cigarettes including our room... That alone was enough but the customer service... nonexistent... They ran out of parking some how and left me with no options other than parking down a side street where they couldn’t insure nothing would happen to my vehicle... security then told me I was not allowed to leave it in the shuttle lane yet others had parked there. Their reasoning? Well we didn’t catch them leaving it there so we can’t tow them. So if I do it what happens? Well we would have too... I was instructed to then park on the side in a no parking fire lane... Give me a break...

First the bad: hotel is virtually the only business in Charleston as far as I can tell that still requires masks while the COVID vaccine is now and has been widely available. It is a very unfortunate and irrational policy which really decreases the value of the experience. Also, for some inexplicable reason, breakfast, parking and WiFi are NOT complimentary. The good: the staff all seem to be exceptional and very pleasant (room was very clean) and room amenities are adequate. Another big plus is that this hotel allows pets, and that alone made it worth it for us. In summary, it seems like upper management has made poor policy decisions and the staff has made the most of it.

Located in downtown Charleston. Across from the mall that has dining options like Panera, Chili’s and Outback. Walking distance to a Tesla SuperCharger (4 blocks). COVID tally located across the street from the Charleston Convention center. Parking is available in an adjacent parking garage. $15 / night. Non Smoking Hotel, however there were smokers on our floor. I mentioned to the front desk and they indicated they would investigate. There is a pool and fitness center on the third floor, along with an outdoor venue space they refer to as “The Pavillon”. This is where we had a view of the fireworks during the 4th of July celebration located about 10 blocks away. The entry to the hotel was nice but needing repair. The glass wall was covered with plywood and had been damaged. This hotel once was nice but could use a remodel.Staff was friendly. There is a restaurant onsite and a “Pantry” for food items to purchase on the go.There are other hotels options close that might be a better experience .

I booked rooms for myself, my son and his family on 6/11/21 thru 6/14 and was not impressed. We checked in around midnight on 6/11 due to car trouble. We were told that there was a breakfast buffet for $11.99 and the internet was $12.99 per day ( never purchased) along with $12.99 a day parking, which I wasnt told about when I made my reservations.I have never had to pay for internet or parking at a motel/hotel. We were given keys to the rooms. One king and one double 2 beds.We went to the double first to get the grandkids settled. When we entered the room we found ashes in the sink, used water bottles on the sink and no clean towels. In the living area we found what looked liked drug paraphernalia on the desk(a metal spoon, a metal bottle cap with some kind of tan rock in it and what we used to call a roach clip in the 70s) along with something sticky that my granddaughter stuck her hand in and name tags with names and pics from Delta Airlines. We tried to call the front desk but the phone didnt work, so I sent my son down to inform them. They sent up 2 security officers who checked it out and assured us it was just trash, but offered us another room. They sent us to a King room with just the one bed and brought a roll away bed in for the grandkids. We were told as soon as a double was available they would change us over. It never happened. The rollaway was so bad that my grandson slept on a chair in our room because the springs on the rollaway hurt his back.Saturday morning my son and grandson went down to eat at the 11.99 breakfast buffet. It was terrible, rock hard, ice cold waffles, cold slimy scrambled eggs, cold oatmeal, bacon and that was about it and you had to pay extra for a drink. They spent almost $26 on a breakfast that most motels give for free and couldnt eat it.We ended up eating breakfast at Shoneys 2 blocks down for $8.99 all you could eat and it was hot and tasty. We stayed 3 days and never got our double as requested. Never the whole time we were there did they replace our towels or check our trash. We didnt expect our sheets to be changed. We put our dirty towels in the hall after seeing other rooms doing it and still never had towels put in room. We had to walk down to front desk to get towels and toiletries because neither phones in rooms worked. I understand some things due to Covid restictions, but this is ridiculous!I do have to say the King beds were nice and comfortable and the showers were very nice and had good pressure. The security guys were amazing and very reassuring. I spent over $1000 for 2 rooms for 3 days and when we complained they gave us back about $160 which amounted to the parking, tax and hotel fees. The only reason I stayed at this Marriott was because it was within walking distance to the Convention Center and with small children thats a big deal. We came in for the Lego Convention. I really cant recommend this Marriott hotel because Ive stayed in cheaper places with better service, even during the height of the Covid pandemic. Too expensive for the service and amenities that we received.
