I live in Charleston and my dad was coming to visit for his birthday. I wanted to plan something special for us to do and did a lot of research on fishing charters and decided to book with Laidback Charters and Excursions. Captain Legare is absolutely amazing! His knowledge of the waters, history, and fishing is beyond compare. Unlike other charters he was willing to go anywhere to make sure we had the best experience. The day was beautiful, the fishing was a blast and Legares company made the trip more fun than we could have imagined. My dad said it was his best birthday ever! We cant wait for our next trip this fall! Truly a personalized experience and worth every penny.

Captain Jones is a wonderful friend to experience a charter or excursion with! He is extremely knowledgeable and has taken me to some beautiful spots through the low country waters that I was unaware of! Being a fossil hunter, he definitely knew some great spots to take me to look for fossils, mostly sharks teeth, but he also has taught me how to fish the right way, the fun way! I continue to book with him because he is laid back and a pleasure to be around and knows what he is doing! He keeps an immaculate boat and his boat is perfect for one or many! I highly recommend him for your next adventure! I have found some beautiful megs and angustiden teeth on excursions with him! I have also caught some big fish as well! He is all around a great guy, a southern gentleman who loves to share his passion of the coastal waterways! Being a nature lover and photographer as one of my hobbies, he always made sure to get me to great spots for my photography! If I can figure out how to post some photos I will do so soon!
