I was there for a sound under the hood. I worked with Rich. He is amazing. We was very informative and took time to answer all of my questions. He also made me feel comfortable and that I would be taken care while he was on vacation. It is so refreshing to see an establishment that value and practice good customer service.

Ask for Aubrey - he is totally awesome, hooked me up right away with exactly what I was looking for - and then walked me through each step of the process to get the perfect vehicle for me! There are quite a few steps (esp. if you are providing a trade-in and also want financing) and Aubrey kept me informed and shared his knowledge of the process (as well as many he insightful tidbits) along the way. We were shopping for a used car, loved what they had to offer. Prices were more than fair. We didnt buy there, but we enjoyed our treatment. Were not the easiest car buyers to have patience with and they were great. Well, except until the very end, we picked an A6 to buy. Loved it, wanted it. On the 3rd day of working on the deal, we had all the papers drawn up, our license plate was on the car, just needed the finance manager to sign off on the sale... well, 90 minutes of waiting was all we could stand. It was like everyone in management had left both buildings. We couldnt find anyone to help us. Sales couldnt help. So we took our license plate back. Had them return the keys to our trade in and we drove off, they never reached out to apologize except for the misfortunate salesman who came back to work to a lost sale that was a slam dunk.Were very happy in our dodge challenger now.

I have nothing negative to say about the professionalism of this dealership. My son purchased a 2016 VW Passat in October of 2020. Within 2 weeks of the purchase, he was relocated from Goose Creek, to the Naval base in Groton Connecticut. There was an issue with him getting his tags due to the move. They were more than likely stolen by someone at the complex he lived in. The property manager stopped returning any of his calls. I reached out to the dealership last week. The sales manager got me in contact with Felecia in the tag and title department. I explained the situation regarding the tags, and that he hasnt been able to drive the vehicle. She explained everything that we need to do. I received an email from her with all of the paperwork that my son needs to fill out. Once she receives the paperwork, she stated that we should have a set of tags within about 7 business days. To go above and beyond for people these days is almost unheard of. She has exceeded every expectation that I had about getting his tag situation resolved, and I cannot thank her enough.

The Service Manager in the Acura group is really responsive and has given me excellent service. I am due to have new tires installed and will get back to you on how it all goes.Following up on the tires and the service manager David and service Tech Sean provided fantastic service. Had another issue with my MDX propeller shaft, the guys and their mechanic provided top quality service, were really easy to work with and paid attention to all the details. I would definitely recommend their shop to all!

Was very disappointed and ended up purchasing a vehicle from another place a week later. Impressed with the car but not the dealership/customer service at this location.

This was a great visit. We didnt find a vehicle we wanted to buy yet but the dealership was very nice. A candy and beverage bar that draws you while waiting for the salesperson to do their thing. They did have some great deals on their 2020 models and the vehicles are very nice. The ride was smooth, etc.

Andrew was my salesman. He was awesome but his Mgr, Jim, not so much, unless you like being bullied. Andrew was patient, informative, respectful and helpful. Answered all my questions and drove perspective vehicle to my mechanic to have it checked out. Purchased the car yesterday and I trust Andrews integrity. He loves cars and knows how to treat his customers. He will go far. And if you get a chance, meet Bella. She was delightful. She works the showroom floor and assists the sales staff. Was trying to buy a used car and asked to take it to a mechanic so they came with me. The mechanic gave me a list of the problems about the car. When I asked them to either fix the problems or reduce the price of the car, they denied that there were any problems with the car (even though they were at the mechanic with me) and didnt try to compromise with me at all. If you can, take your business elsewhere.

These guys bent over backwards to help me out!!!I went to the showroom looking for a specific vehicle. Jacob, the salesman, was extremely knowledgeable about the product. In fact, he believes in the brand so much that he bought one himself. That was refreshing.Unfortunately, they didnt have what I was looking for. The vehicle just didnt exist in inventory. Anywhere. They set out to find one for me at another dealership. Im certain Jeff Rubin, the GM, searched dealers in at least ten different states. The car was just not available. Thus, I wasnt able to purchase one I wanted. Sad, right?The happy ending is this: Jeff went even further out of his way to help me purchase a similar car from their sister dealership, even though it was a competing manufacturer. He lost out on a sale, yet still took the time to make sure I was happy. Who does that?At the end of the day I was not able to purchase the vehicle I wanted (because it has become extremely rare), yet I came away from the interaction with respect and gratitude for the unselfish way they handled the situation.Thanks guys!

On a recent trip from Knoxville to Folly Beach I had serious car problems -- my transmission went completely out in my Acura. McDaniel Acura of Charleston had my car towed, managed the repairs, kept me apprised of the situation, and delivered my car to me when it was completed. I had excellent service and cant say enough good things about them. I wish I could give them more stars.

Took my Acura in for an airbag recall. The service manager told me upon an inspection that my wipers were bad and they were “streaking,” but they could replace all wipers on my car for $109!!!! Funny thing is, I just replaced the wipers myself 2 weeks ago and know for a fact they are not bad. In addition, I was also told the battery was bad. The battery on my Acura is exactly 1.5 years old, but I had autozone check it to be sure. The rest came back as “good battery.” I feel so scammed by this dealership and the lack of customer care. And I am so glad that I didn’t pay them a dime for service that absolutely did NOT need to be performed. Very disappointing for an Acura dealership!!!!

I’ve only ever dealt with the service department, and they are AMAZING. I had an appointment to get a lot of work done on my car, and I happened to break my ankle the night before. I called and told them I wouldn’t be able to make it, and they came to my house, got my car, and left me a loaner! They kept me updated and were done with the service fairly quickly. Dave was awesome throughout the whole process. Would recommend!!!

Went there looking at a super cheap used Toyota Corolla they had on the lot. Sales person was awesome( Shyane Whitney).. Told them my credit wasn’t the greatest, around a 650. Also informed them if the rate was going to be too high I’d get my family member (790 credit score) to sign on. Got declined and the sales manager came over trying to send me to a subprime bank in Summerville. Saying he didn’t even think they could help. Not interested in selling a car at all. Long story short, I went to Fred Anderson, signed up on a 21k RAV4 zero down, without a co-sign at 9%. Have your own financing if you want a car from this dealer because the management obviously doesn’t know how to cut deals unless you’re an easy A+ credit case.

This was my very first purchase experience at a car dealership, and it was very easy, understandable and smooth.I found a car I liked online and visited them just to see the car in person and ask about the realistic price. Because I wasnt planning on buying it that day, I wasnt prepared at all, however, the car being so nice and, getting a crazy deal on it, I couldnt turn it down. I have been searching good deals for several months and I knew it would be very difficult to beat this deal.The Sales person Shayne was an amazing guy, he helped me out through all the process and instead of being typical hardcore salesman, who tries to sell everything, he was fair and honest with me and very understanding of my current situation. No matter, whether thats true or not I felt very comfortable and happy with my purchase and the whole experience.The other employees there were also very nice and helpful so I highly recommend to just visit them and ask what they can offer, whether you buy the vehicle on the day or not you will not be disappointed with their service.

Couldnt be happier with the service! I didnt but my car here, first trip ever. Walked in and instantly didnt feel like I was in a Now Serving #... Situation that a LOT of dealers make you ensure. Its a 2012 RDX, with serious shudder that I thought was maybe the transmission. Note to self: dont read things online and try to self diagnose if ur not a mechanic!!! Bryce was fantastic and performed the appropriate repair and told me what the REAL issue was. Stopped me from spending $$$ on something that wouldnt solve the shudder. You just dont get that level of honesty and transparency at most dealerships. Thank you Bryce and McDaniels Acura! Ill def look at buying a car here when its time!

By no means am I saying that my experience was a poor one, but given my previous interactions with two different Acura dealerships that made me feel like a valued customer, this Acura dealership drove me into Lexus arms.So to set the Acura standard, I purchased a CL in 1997 from Stevenson Acura in Wilmington and a MDX in 2005 from Leith Acura in Fayetteville. Customer service was undeniably top notch, actually listening to my needs and realizing that I am a Car & Driver customer.Having just moved to Charleston in the summer of 2018, we unfortunately lost our MDX to standing water associated to the hurricane that hit the area later that same year.Needing to replace the MDX with a similar class vehicle, I first test drove all of the usual suspects; Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, adding Toyota, Honda, & Mazda to the mix based on Car & Driver reviews.Then took our misfortune, money, same terms requested of others, need to quickly replace the family vehicle, and test results to McDaniels Acura, expecting to be thanked for loyalty and giving them an opportunity to retain my business.Make note, that everyone was nice upon entry and showed no overt rudeness to me, even when I departed their dealership.But they never appeared to want my business; never appreciated my 20 years of commitment to the brand. And ultimately, their offer was cheaper than only Mercedes and equal to BMW. For a MDX...and was a full $100 + more a month than any other car we test drove.Parted peacefully; and then got a call from Acura three months later to ask me if I was still interested. 👍👎

Its 6:45. You close at 7. I didnt ask for a test drive. I simply asked to see the technology in your $45k vehicle by putting a key in it so that my wife and I could see the features, display, and technology. I specifically said that I didnt want to turn on the vehicle and drive it. Simply put the key in the vehicle so that my wife and I could determine if we liked the features.Again, you have hours posted. When you have a customer in front of you asking to test your product please dont treat them this way.Youre no hassle and youre proud of it. Thats fine. But dont confuse no hassle with no service.Wake up, customers have a choice.Sorry - just verified. You actually close at 7:30p. Even better.

I have been working on my credit to buy a car for over a year. I have never bought a car before, always paid cash person to person. I went into the dealership with certain expectations of pushy behavior, not hearing what I wanted, selling me what I didnt.I called Shayne Whitney, and he told me about the car that was there, that I had found on the internet. Over the next two weeks, he was more than accommodating to my schedule, answered when I called, and jumped on everything I asked him to do.I bought a used car, that is much less than the average sale price of what is on the lot. I visited McDaniels Acura of Charleston in search of a pre owned Acura. I met with a great salesperson named Michael Brown who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the products. After driving a few vehicles I decided on a nice 2012 Acura TL. The process was very smooth and I feel like I got a fantastic deal on the car. This is the worst auto dealer I have ever interacted with. After I had taken delivery of my newly purchased vehicle, the alleged Finance Manager called me stating missing documentation was required and that if I did not immediately return with the vehicle, he was going to call the police. There was a severe lack of attention to detail, which turned out to be moot. If I could, I would have rated this dealer less than 1-star.

Since the tires where BALD and he gave me a good price no biggy. So I went to get my tires changed and come to find out they didnt make sure my locking key socket was in the vehicle. So god forbid i get a flat with my four kids in the car I would be stuck. On top of that I return to the dealership to let them make it right and they just tell me sorry go buy one from Infiniti!

Called to make an appointment. Tiara was very rude. She said since my car was over 10 years old they won’t service it. I told her that Acura in San Diego serviced my car. She said this isn’t San Diego. Way to tarnish the Acura brand. Corporate will be getting a call.

I found a used car on the internet and made an appointment, met directly with the GM and he had SJ take care of me. Everyone was very professional, gave me ample time to test drive the car, gave me a fair fair trade value for my truck (more than two other dealerships offered). I have been in car sales in the past in the Charleston area and would highly recommend this dealership...professional, fair, respectful. Ill do business here again.

I was in there mazda department...drove from Charleston and was shut down, they sent me an offer through email, then gave me a lame excuse why they couldnt honor it, was told that they couldnt do anything for me on the payment with a trade in, did not try to help in any way at all and just let me walk out the door...the vehicle at the time was 13,986, told me they could only make a deal if i was willing to pay 350 a month w/ a 1000 down with my trade...your SUV had 98k miles and it was an 09. I just recently bought a 2012 Mazda CX9 at 14,800 with 64k miles w/ $0 down payment and with the same trade they were gonna give me 500 for my local dealership gave me 1500 for it...and my monthly payment with a 50k mile extended warranty comes to 300 a month...have better customer service, if you offer something, stick to the offer and just do better

Very inept Service Department. The Check Emissions System was on in our MDX. I had an appointment on Friday, June 28 at 10:00 am. I received a call saying an emissions canister under the car need to be replaced, and it would be Monday morning before I could pick it up. I called them Monday afternoon and was told that they didnt order the part overnight, so it would be Tuesday morning. Received a call late Tuesday saying the car was ready. Picked up on Wednesday morning...$378.45. Withing twenty-four hours the Emissions light came on again on July 4th. Took the car back to McDanials on Friday morning. They ran several scans on the car, now saying it was connection issue. They removed a battery disconnect switch that I had installed on the battery to not drain the battery when not in use. They then test drove the car, re-scanned, and said all was good.....three hours later. By Friday afternoon, the light was on again. I called the dealership and left voicemail requesting a call back. As of today, Tuesday, I have yet to receive that call.

The worst experience I have ever had. We called and gave our information over the phone to get approved. They stated to us they will give a call back NEVER DID. So we decide to take a trip down there only to find out the information we gave was never ran and had to fill out a paper app. Now I mind you I completed the app and waited upon the sales guy to return, 5 mins pass and Im staying in the middle while Jeff(GSM) sits in his office looking right at me and didnt ask whether I needed some assistance. They did not once give us the customer service we expected from the reviews that were given. DEFINITELY WILL NOT RETURN

Poor service. I asked around after having a bad experience and was disgusted with some of the stories I heard. I personally would never do business with these people. Ive heard nothing but bad about these guys and more specifically some guy named SJ and the owner. My suggestion would be to find a different dealership before getting scammed out of hard earned money!

My wife and I recently had our car totaled in a hit and run and were absolutely dreading the process of buying a new car. After deciding exactly what car we were looking for we showed up and Mcdaniels Acura. I cant begin to explain how happy we were with that decision. The customer service was excellent from beginning to end. The salesman Jeff greeted us without pushing anything on us and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. As well the manager Jeff made sure to greet us and speak with us to make sure we were happy with everything. The financial advisor Rich broke everything down perfectly and made the whole thing a completely stress free experience. This place not only provided the best customer service, the also were the most honest and straight forward dealership we have ever shopped. Thank you guys so much for everything.

I had a bad experience here two years ago. I brought in my 2013 RDX to be serviced because of hesitating acceleration at low RPMs. The service guy there told me it was transmission fluid. I asked him why and he just said this would solve the problem but he would not elaborate. He just told me that it should fix the problem. That seemed very odd since he confirmed it was not a leak. I paid $200 to have it done and the problem did go away for about 4K miles and then it started happening again. When I returned to Acura, the service department said it was CV joints, said that it wasnt covered under power train warranty and wanted to charge $700. I knew that wasnt true but he wouldnt budge and I left.So, I brought it to Hendrick Honda. They told me right away that there is a TSB (technical service bulletin) and the language of the symptoms was the exact language I used to describe the problem to Acura initially. So, the guy who wouldnt explain why it was the transmission fluid the first time obviously knew about the TSB. The TSB covers having the transmission fluid flushed and the software updated that regulates the temperature of the transmission fluid (at Acuras expense). Honda also said there was nothing wrong with the CV joints, and IF there was, it would have been covered under the power train warranty. They told me to call Acura corporate to tell them that I wasnt notified of the TSB and was charged for the fluid replacement. Acura corporate reimbursed me the $200.00. They stated that the local service department should have told me about the TSB and were also alarmed about being told the CV joints were not covered under the power train warranty.I wont go back there again. Im lucky Honda pointed this out to me or else I would have probably gone there a few times over before the issue was addressed. My car is now out of warranty and Ill just get it serviced at Hudsons or Hendrick Honda if needed. When I have to replace the car I wont get an Acura.

My experience at this Acura dealership was awful. The Business Manager racially profiled us and said Indians are the toughest negotiators and hardest to sale to and he repeatedly made similar remarks. Its not professional and its certainly uncalled for because its similar to me saying white people do this and black people do that... However, we ended up buying 2 cars that day, so he can suck it!!!Additionally, I was sold a brand new car with a dead battery cell. They said they had to recharge the battery because the car was sitting in the showroom for a few months, so I did not think anything of it. However, 2 days later while I was at home (2 hours away!) my car wouldnt start. When I called the dealership to ask about it, they nonchalantly said oh, its just the battery. It caused me a great inconvenience to have the car towed back to them and then have arrangements to go pick it up again. After everything happened, I asked if I could get rubber mats for the inconvenience and the fact that they sold me a brand new car with a DEAD battery and they said NO! Thus, from my experience everything from the quality of work to the customer service was well below par. It is worth the extra few hour drive to Charlotte. We bought a brand new MDX from Hendrix Acura in 2005 and we never had any problems with it.However, Keith was really nice and helpful. So if you must use McDaniels, try to get Keith and stay away from everyone else!!

I came in for service on my 2012 MDX and while waiting I looked at the newer models in the showroom. Shayne Whitney offered assistance with the 2018 MDX, which lit up my interest - he was most helpful and had answers to all of my questions. My decision was made and with his efforts I was able to conclude the purchase within a short time. The process was succinct and easy. The McDaniels newly designed showroom is beautiful and made the vehicles very accessible for potential buyers. The customer service is outstanding and friendly especially David McCall and Bill Laurenzi. I highly recommend working with Shayne Whitney and the McDaniels brand to anyone looking for a great and honest car buying experience! ADDED NOTE: They were always available to help me.
