We went on the sunset cruise to celebrate our anniversary while in Charleston. The captain was VERY Friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Was eager to answer any questions about the area we had. I would 100 percent recommend using this charter to go on a relaxing ride. It was 90 degrees and this boat had a full Bimini cover which offered shade unlike several of the other charters on the water tonight. He pointed out many of the sites that Charleston are known for. And the first mate was more than willing to capture any pics for us in whatever backdrop we happened to be at. Here is a few pics we took! We didnt get any pics of the several schools of dolphins we saw but they were fun to watch as well!

This outing was perfect. Sunset cruise BYOB, downtown Charleston Battery. Music was good, company was great, tour guide and assistance wonderful. The boat played good music, the weather was perfect and the sunset amazing. This was definitely a highlight of my trip to Charleston.

Harborview Charters provided an excellent sunset cruise in Charleston! It was unseasonably chilly, and the crew had brought blankets for the passengers, which was so thoughtful. They had great knowledge to share, but mostly played music and let us enjoy the ride and the views. Would absolutely recommend this business!

What a great experience! As soon as we started our journey we saw a pod of four dolphins up close. The captain was very professional and knowledgeable about the area and history, which was a nice touch as we traveled to see more dolphins. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I took a sunset cruise while visiting Charleston for our 6 year anniversary. It was hands down our favorite part of the trip! Captain Bret was great, he gave us little tidbits of info on the area and some historical facts during the cruise, but also would just crank up the oldies music and let us enjoy the views! We stopped at a cool place called Reds at Shem Creek to get a drink. We will definitley be taking another cruise with Harborview Charters the next time we visit Charleston!!

My boyfriend and I did the shell tour. We have never done anything like this before - basically just wanted to go on a boat for pretty cheap. This tour was amazing. It is a family owned business, you can bring your own booze, and the owner was hilarious. Highly recommend. We also found some really cool shark teeth. Would definitely do again.

We went on an AM Shelling excursion. This would go down as one of my best days ever! Captain Brett was great... full of information! Id read other fantastic reviews... but I have to admit... I was sceptical. We found a ton of shells, several sand dollars, coral, and sharks teeth. Some of the shells were huge!! It was awesome. The only thing that would have made it better... was if we had been out there ALL day :) oh... we saw dolphins a few times too.

On vacation from Cleveland, my husband, 2 kids, dog and I booked a trip with Harbor View Charter as a way to beak up the beach time. We never expected to find shark teeth or other treasures, but hoped we would. We have an 11 and 9 year old who each found 18 and 27 sharks’ teeth and 12 sand dollars! We also found beach glass and alligator scute. They had a naturalist on the tour that identified and explained everything we found. She also helped us find teeth and treasures. The 3 hours went so fast and we can’t wait to go again. Thank you for a great time!

My boys and I did the shelling this morning. We all had a great time. We got a little history lesson on the way to the island, found several shark teeth, sea glass and beautiful shells. Wandered the island and had a relaxing ride back to the dock. It is fun for families or as a couple. I would definitely recommend. I do not remember the name of the staff but she is awesome as well. She was showing the boys what to look for. It was an overall great experience!

We went for a great ride through the harbor and to a small island for shelling and swiming with the kids. We found shark teeth, shells, and he told us about fiddler crabs and horseshoe crabs. The sunset boat cruise was perfect! It was exactly right for our laid back bachelorette group. The boat was punctual, the crew was relaxed and fun, and we even saw dolphins. It is BYOB, which helps it be cost effective. This would be a great activity for any group.

We took a seashell/shark tooth discovery tour of Morris Island with Harborview Charters, and our whole family was so impressed with the crew and experience! Not only did we find lots of shark teeth, but the captain gave us an informal local history tour on the 30 minute ride out to the island. The first mate was also our naturalist, walked with our (small) tour group, and helped the younger kids find shells and shark teeth. Later, on the ride back, she helped us identify our findings. This tour is great for families with younger children, and the business is family owned and operated.

Awesome experience! My friends and I did the dolphin tour and we saw a bunch of dolphins. The captain and co-captain were very friendly and knowledgeable. They really search for dolphins and wait so you can see them and enjoy the experience. Definitely recommend!

We had a great afternoon with Capt Bret and Harborview Charters. We toured the Charleston Harbor with great views of the historic battery area and then Capt Bret took us to one of his secret spots to search for shark teeth. And it was a success!! We found numerous teeth of all sizes which was awesome. This was a great family trip with my wife and two daughters. A second tour where we went right by the Yorktown and then back to the dock made for a perfect afternoon. We highly recommened Catp Bret and Harboview Charters.

My son and I had an amazing time together on the shelling expedition yesterday! We found several large shark teeth, sand dollars, conch shells, old pottery fragments, and washed up blueberry bricks from the mid 1800’s within about one hour!!! The boat ride to and from the island was also awesome because we saw a dolphin swimming near our boat and learned a lot of fun historical facts about the area. We chartered a sunset cruise with Captain Brett, it was absolutely amazing! His boat is super roomy and comfortable. It’s def more roomy than the typical water tour boats I have taken in the past. Ive gone on the Harborview Charters sunset tour three times and each time it keeps getting better. The length is perfect, the information and history shared is cool to hear about, you get to see all of the best sights, and Bret is a great captain! This is my go to tour when I have friends and family visiting and its worth every penny!

The captain and his first mate were wonderful. He not only had some historical facts, but hes got jokes too! The tour started and finished right on time, and I can certainly appreciate the punctuality! The views, chill atmosphere and great people made it a great time! Overall, I highly recommend it and would even go so far as labeling a MUST when coming to the area!!

Company does not care about public safety. Not Covid-19 safe. Boat was crowded and social distancing was not an option. Staff did not have mask or gloves and no passengers were wearing masks. When exiting the boat and inform staff of why were we leaving we were mocked and made fun of in front of other passengers.

The captain was friendly and knowledgeable. He related information about the area to us on our trip to Morris Island. The naturalist, Paula, was patient with my daughter. She related a lot of local and natural history to us as we explored the island.

We ALL Had our mask in our purses that we brought and IN FACT one of our party was carrying it in her hand. When we arrived we ascertained the situation and evaluated our personal safety. It may be open air but droplets don’t care-and there was no 6ft radius per party available. This is a small boat with 5 benches on one side and 5 on the other.Point being is when we decided to leave we explained our concerns quietly to your captain, and he promptly got indignant and turned around to the other passengers and mocked us, to which we heard them start saying well I have masks, they should masks. AGAIN, no one asked any of your staff or other passengers for ANYTHING. Did say we wanted a refund, that they had to wear masks (although that would be common sense), or assign seating (another common sense), or to cancel the trip. In fact we were polite, didn’t make a scene and went about our business. Had your captain shown some reserve, understanding and professionalism this experience would have been different. And I can assure you, as a healthcare team member, 100% of our patients never thought they would get COVID. Perhaps instead of being sarcastic and making assumptions you could communicate with your customers with respect as we did with your captain. Let me help you- The right response would have been- “I am so sorry for your experience, we pride ourselves on customer service and excellence. Please send us a DM with your contact information so we can discuss further. Thank you again for your business”

We did the Shell expedition this morning and it was wonderful! Our kid had the best time finding sand dollars, shells and sharks teeth, and the crew was very friendly and knowledgeable! We got to hear about the history on the way to Morris and saw a lot of Dolphins along the way. We would definitely do this again next time we are in Charleston.The only thing I would recommend is getting VenmoOr some sort of tipping app to send thru the phone. We didn’t have cash on us and couldn’t find an ATM close by, of course it is our fault we should have been better prepared, but would have loved to have been able to send a tip electronically.Nonetheless we had a wonderful time! The sunset cruise is a must if you want to take in the beautiful views of the Charleston harbor. Captain Bret is very knowledgeable and provided a great experience for all of the passengers. You can sit back and relax or stand up and take hundreds of pictures like I did. Also, huge plus is that you can bring your own alcohol! There isnt a more perfect way to end an evening in Charleston than drinking good wine and watching dolphins swim as the sun goes down. I will definitely book again with Harborview Charters.

Our group of 12 had a great time! If you want to view a beautiful sunset in Charleston, on the water is the place to do it. Captain Bret gave us some great information on the history of Charleston and the views were spectacular. The BYOB policy is fantastic. It beats having to buy expensive drinks on some of the other tours offered. If/when we make it back to the area, it will definitely be an experience worth repeating!

We booked a trip with Harborview this past weekend, and my whole group had an awesome time. It was a very young crowd on the boat, and the captain was conscientious of that with music choices, etc. We didnt see any dolphins, but the views were awesome. It was definitely worth the price.

This trip was worth every penny!!! My husband and I do a lot of these boat trips and Harborview ranks #1 as the best we have ever been on. Amazing crew. And we were able to check off two items on our bucket list... find sharks teeth... and boy, did we find a hum dinger. Megalodan we were told. And a banded tulip shell. 5 stars for Captain Bret! I called the captain with about 3 days notice saying that I would be in Charleston and wanting to propose to my girlfriend. He was very accommodating and even picked us up on his boat right at our hotel in the marina.I was nervous as hell and he was a tremendous reason why the whole event went so smoothly. We did a private charter which was very reasonably priced, so much in fact that all my friends and family were shocked at the price. I ended up proposing on an island in the Charleston Harbor and Captain Bret literally came on the island and recorded the entire thing.He also helped me out and got me a bottle of champagne on request and did not overcharge me a penny over what it cost him. There are so many places out there that could have taken advantage of me and my now fiancé on this special event and Harborview Charters just does extremely good business. I will be a customer for life and will always have good things to say about this company. Ive had lots of out of town friends hit the water with Capt Bret so based on their great experiences I chartered him for a company sunset cruise with a stop at Morris island.it was incredible. The pontoon boat was roomy and allowed for walking around and activities. Highly recommend.

Had a great trip out to Morris Island. We had lots of room on the boat to move about and even with a large group it did not feel crowded. The harbor got a little choppy but you could barely tell in the boat as it handled the chop really well without a lot of bouncing around. The captain was awesome. Very professional and polite. Would def go back for round two.

Very low key, friendly staff. We took the shelling tour to Morris Island. The naturalist on the tour, Emma, treated our girls as if they were friends and was totally fine with them tagging along with her the entire time. We had a blast and our kids thought it was the highlight of our beach trip.

I came to visit Charleston and took my family on a tour with Captain Bret and had an amazing time! We did the dolphin/harbor tour and we learned so much about the cities history as well as saw numerous dolphin pods. We really got up close and personal with a few dolphin pods, I didnt realize there were that many in this area. Captain Bret really showed his love and enthusiasm for the city of Charleston and the dolphins. Best deal in town!

Weekday Sunset Cruise - perfect for our last night in charelstonWe had such a memorable trip with Captain Bret and his co-pilot. We learned so much about the area and the history, all while being able to sip on our champagne (BYO!) and enjoy some laughs. We saw uplclose dolphins, a retired navy vesseland the underside of Ravenel bridge, along with a beautiful sunset. My husband was giddy and taking pictures, saying “this was such a good call” the whole time, which was both hilarious because he’s never like that and heartwarming since it was our last night together after a wonderful visit to Charleston. Had an awesome experience on the sunset cruise! Would fully recommend. Me and my friend (early twenties) loved the byob and laid back aspect of it all.

If I could leave negative stars I would. We tried to find the dock, but there was no signage near the road, nor was there instructions for parking on the reservation reminder. Due to this, we were 7 minutes late, and the boat had already left. Tried to call and find directions to the place and learned the boat had already left. Since the guy on thr phone was on said boat, I couldnt hear him. So, after I knew the tour was over, I called and ask for refund/credit for different tour and was denied. They say the card is for the reservation only, but they actually charged me early this morning, way before we were set to leave on the tour.They clearly dont care about their customers, only for the money they can make off of them.

I recently moved to charleston and on a Thursday night went out on the harbor view tour, which let me see an entire different view of the city. We went underneath the Ravanel bridge, rode next to the York Town and saw the sun set down town. As we were riding along the harbor we saw dolphins, the closest Ive ever seen. The tour was beautiful and the captain and his mate were very insiteful. If you are visiting Charleston or new to the area I highly recommend seeing this point of view!
