I’ve used Captain Fields 4 times now!!! I highly recommend Him and he is the only guide i will use if I’m paying. You can tell that he genuinely loves fishing and wants to make you love it just as much. 2 of the times we absolutely slayed fish. He is very personable and patient with kids and beginners. Also very flexible on which dock location you will leave from.

I have fished with Capt. Stephen and my two sons on numerous occasions, and can attest that he always works very hard to ensure that you have a great day on the water. We have caught many different species on each trip. Reds, trout, sharks, stingrays, bass, black drum, we even had a cobia on once until it broke our line. My first time fishing in Charleston took my father in law and his brother they had a great time as well as myself we caught a lot of fish went back on a second trip and took my wife she caught a 32 inch 12 pound red she had a great time and and is now hooked on fishing I have been out on several trips with Stephen now always a great time and lots of fish my last trip was just me and Stephen I caught no less than 10 trout and 30 plus reds Stephen is very professional yet laid back he has always made it like fishing with a good friend which he has become I highly recommend him for a trip by yourself or with family or a friend you won’t be disappointed

Great trip. We had to reschedule twice due to cold weather but Capt Fields was most accommodating. We caught some big reds as well as some keepers and had a great time . Looking forward to the next one.

Captain Stephen Fields knows how to put you on some fish! My wife booked a trip with Stephen for my birthday a few years ago and surprised me with a trip to Charleston for a few days. Stephen took us out into the harbor that first morning and we setup under the Ravenel bridge and we caught a handful of bull reds. Once the tide shifted we went up into the flats and caught smaller reds and trout galore.The trip was great, scenery was beautiful, and Stephen coordinated a fantastic trip. In fact the trip was so great I then booked a trip the following fall to take my dad fishing for his birthday. This time we went up the Stono and pulled in reds and trout all morning. My dad has a blast.I cannot wait for the next excuse to book another trip with Stephen.

I have fished with Stephen on Numerous occasions in both boats. We actually caught more fish in the back up boat than normal because it could get places the bigger boat couldn’t go. Of course the normal boat is beautifully outfitted with all the latest goodies and makes for a great day on the water. Regardless of the boat you will catch fish and have a good time! I highly recommend him and will be using him again in the near future.

Fields; what an amazing way to see Charleston and to really learn how to fish. He placed us in such perfect spots the lines were tight in no time. My son and I really had a great day of bonding and got to bring home so great pics to showoff to the family. Captain Fields was fantastic to fish with and provided a fantastic four hour charter for our group of three. There was plenty of room for all of us on the boat and we got to explore various successful fishing locations. Stephen was professional but also really laid back, he was a great guy to hang out with. What an amazing fishing trip! Both my dad and I love to fish, took a trip to Charleston and found captain Fields online. We met him early at the dock, his boat was already in the water and everything was ready. Captain Fields was super nice, knowledgeable of the area and put us onto fish right away. He knew the tides and what fish would be biting. I have already told a few buddies about him and we are already planning another trip. He was spot on courtious, respectful and professional. I can’t wait to go back!!!

Lets start with he was a half hour late. When he gets there boat is still on the trailer. And it was not the boat shown in the website. It was a small flat bottom boat with only 3 seats. 1 for the driver so that would mean really only 2 seats for 4 people. When asked about the boat were to be on he was like oh that is in the shop. REALLY would have likes to know that ahead of time. My friend had been on the phone with multiple times over the last few days he could have told us.. the only thing that was done right was we did get refund the money. So for that thank you. We drove from Michigan to do this cool trip, to just to let down.

We had a great experience with Captain Fields. He was easy to get along with, professional, and extremely helpful in catching fish. The weather helped out a bit and we had a great experience. If we are ever in Edisto again, we would definitely book him again!

Have chartered with Captain Steve 3 times in the last few years. Every trip was a pleasure. Captain Steve has an incredible ability to get us on fish regardless of the conditions. And he is a real gentleman and a blast to hang with for hours on the water. Cant wait to get back at it with him!

All I can say is Captain Stephan is man of his words! Several years ago he took me and some college buddy’s out near Edisto Island. It was real cold and we got stormed on had to end our trip early. We paid and he apologized about not getting to fish all that much. He said here’s my personal number and WHENEVER you want to go again I’ll take you! I called him 4 years later and he remembered me. I caught fish that following trip. I also took my family on 2 more trips and each time we went we caught more fish then the time before. This guy is a class act! I will never fish with another charter.
