Repairman was personable and polite as well as professional. He was knowledgeable and made sure to check all aspects of the unit after it was up and running again to make sure the unit was operating correctly before he left.

Carolina Climate Control has saved me now not once but twice in the last two weeks (two unrelated August AC emergencies, unfortunately -- such luck!) Ryan and Skip to the rescue! Super happy with Carolina Climate Control! Our AC was not working and at first had a well known AC repair company come out. He told me that we needed to preform a very costly repair of $3500. We decided to get a second opinion since it was a major cost repair. I called Carolina Climate Control to see what they said and the tech took his time and let me know it was just a very clogged line. I appreciate a company that does not try and take advantage of their customers. I will definitely use them if need be in the future!

AC went out during the hottest time of the year. They came out to our house same day and AC was fixed the very next day. Travis was great to work with and Brad and Robby did a great job. They even cleaned up after themselves, which is impressive compared to other companies in the area.

We were scheduled to go out of town on a Friday and of course the AC died Thursday afternoon. Carolina Climate Control sent a tech first thing Friday morning so that we could leave as soon as possible. Turned out to be a bad coil in our less than one year old Trane system. (So Trane does NOT get 5 stars) We were going to be gone a week and also had dogs in the house. We were assured the part would be ordered and the system repaired while we were gone. I was totally put at ease about having them do the work while we were gone. Our son took the dogs and the AC repaired a day ahead of schedule in order to get the dogs home as soon as possible. We came back the next week to happy dogs in an air conditioned house! Very good customer service.

Got an estimate from Drew, who really walked my wife and I through the process and was very knowledgeable about any of our questions and concerns. Ryan and Joe installed our unit and they were very respectful and went above and beyond during the install. I would certainly recommend them to anyone needing any work done or an install.

A technician came and figured out what was wrong in a timely manner (less than 24 hours after I called). He provided a temporary fix. Overall, was a little aggressive about being the best type of tradesman equipped to handle the problem, which was electrical. At one point suggested putting a hole in the wall through my closet and the exterior of my building to run a wire down to the HVAC, and didnt seem to understand my concern about all of the wildlife on the marsh entering my unit via said hole. Gave me a lot of push back when I suggested calling an electrician to see what they could do. Was surprised to hear that there is a crawl space where electrical can be accessed which makes me wonder how he thinks electrical maintenance is done in this building.

From the initial service call with Gary through the installation team of Brad and Mike, Carolina Climate Control treated us with respect and professionalism. They answered every question and did a quality job.

If all the subcontractors involved with my home renovation project were as good as Carolina Climate Control, the process would have been a much easier and much less stressful one. From my first contact with the company, everyone I dealt with was great and helped to facilitate the work to be done. Tyler, the field representative was responsive, punctual, knowledgeable as well as informative. He helped me work through logistical issues with creative thinking that the other companies I interviewed did not bring to the table. The installers Stephen and Jeff were also both always punctual and did thorough, quality work from start to finish. CCC provided both quality and value and I cant recommend the company any more highly.

Carolina Climate Control is a complete rip off and I would not recommend them to anyone who doesnt want to be gauged! On a blistering hot morning July 29, 2021, I called them because my newer Trane HVAC that they installed about 3 yrs ago was not cooling. I was told I would have to pay an after hours diagnostic fee of $150.00 in order for them to make a house call that day. The technician arrived at approximately 4:25 pm and within a few minutes he diagnosed the problem. Youd think 4:25 pm would be considered normal working hours and I wouldnt be charged as such! I was quoted $580 labor and of course the part was under warranty and therefore free from the manufacturer. Before they would proceed , I had to pay half of the labor and, of course, the $150. Six days later, the unit was repaired in approximately 40 minutes and that includes 14 minutes for the technician to unscrew the drum the motor was housed in! I called a different local Trane certified company which quoted me a labor charge of only $280!! To make a long story short, approximately one hour worth of labor for a rather easy repair was $730!! I do not recommend this company as they obviously do a great job gauging their customers!!

I have been getting estimates for a new HVAC system and duct work. The gentleman, Grey, was super professional and polite and explained everything so I could understand. Im sure I will be using them for my HVAC needs.

Avoid - Wildly overpriced ripoff! We have a hvac unit that is leaking refrigerant and trying to get replaced, but finding an in-stock unit has been more challenging than expected. So in the meantime we’ve been having the refrigerant occasionally refilled to make it thru this summer heat. The first time we had it refilled by a different company and were charged $250. The second time we called Carolina climate control and were billed $990 - for the exact same amount of refrigerant! I get that some places charge more, but for 4x more???We own a condo in wild dunes and the HOA only allows us to use 4 HVAC companies. Rest assured I will let the HOA and all my neighbors know that this company price gouges customers and should be avoided at all cost.

Customer felt comfortable with tech in home, pleased with response time, pleased with the expertise and honesty of the tech, and pleased with all the communication. We will definitely use this company again for all of our HVAC needs!

Two stars, cannot recommend this company to others after my experience---The gist:- We had a service contract on two 7-year-old heat pumps (Lennox) that were slowly dying; service tech (Gary, great guy) recommended to either repair one evap coil ($2,500) or consider new, better Trane units- I met with the salesperson (Will) the same day (Wed.) and decided on two 2.5-ton 15.25 SEER units (same tonnage as previous units) with added 4 filters at the air handlers ($900; Will explained they filter better, provide better flow, and dont require changing as often) and a new zoning system for upstairs ($1,600; old one was cheap and didnt look like it would last much longer) for a total of $17,028- The install was rushed on Friday, with the install crew even saying, we get paid by the job, so we will try to be done by 1; they left at 3pm, but neither the broken system (upstairs) nor the downstairs unit was cooling well, and all four of the returns were making a loud noise because the grilles were vibrating from the airflow.- I went in the attic and noticed that both air handlers were leaking cold air/sucking attic air, and the zoning system wasnt set up properly- After several texts/emails, Will (salesperson) recommended I get a service tech out Monday, which I did. Gary (same tech that saw my old system) was appalled at how poorly everything was installed and contacted his boss, etc. to get things fixed quickly- After a total of seven visits (including the install day; one time they didnt fix everything, another time they had the wrong parts, etc.), the system is working (I think)- Incidentally, the $79 fee for Gary to come out when my original system broke wouldve been put toward the repair cost, but when you buy $17k system they dont include it (which doesnt seem right)- Stephen, the person in charge of the installers came out several times and seemed exasperated by the work being done, but overall was quite helpful.- Total cost: $17,107 (and if I hadnt kept going into the attic to check things myself it wouldnt have been running well from the start)- Total time to get everything right (not to mention having to take time off work to meet them): 12 days

Stephen and Jeff were very professional on the install. The install went smooth and they really impressed me with their thoroughness yet efficient install. They were on time and worked extremely hard to install the new unit. They also cleaned up and made it appear that they hadnt even stepped foot in the house! I will continue to use CCC as long as Im in Charleston. The system is running great. Thanks again

My A/C went out on a 93 degree day. I called the HVAC contractor that I’ve been using regularly for the past several years. They could not respond until Monday - 6 days later! I called Carolina Climate Control around 12:30pm and spoke with Melissa. I was not a previous client. Melissa was very understanding and professional. She gave me an appointment for the next day in the afternoon. Three hours later Melissa called saying they had had a cancellation and they were on their way. By 4:40pm my A/C was up and running. The technician Verlin was pleasant and professional. I will be using Carolina Climate Control for my future HVAC maintenance and repairs.

Our Carolina Comfort Control technician, Drew, called on the morning of our scheduled appointment to see if it would be alright if he could come by earlier than the scheduled appointment since he was in the area. This was great because it allowed me to have our appointment taken care of in the morning rather than in the middle of the day so I could plan my day off from work much better. Our appointment , which only took 15 minutes, was to assess the age and condition of our AC unit in order to be considered for winning a new, free Trane AC unit. Even though my experience with Carolina Comfort Control was not that of actual service or installation, if their services and customer care is anything reflective of our technician’s promptness, courtesy, politeness and professionalism, then I would highly recommend this company to care for our homes’s AC and heating needs.

We had some serious design flaws from the original builder installation of our HVAC system. They were able to make adjustments when 2 other companies could not. Very happy with the result.

CCC replaced my condo A/C system 7/20; timely, neat, good value. Had a minor component fail later, replaced quickly under warranty. Also had an inaccessible (original) Freon lineset fail. Required a complex alternate routing that was effected in a day. Have met 4-5 Technicians and 3 office staff; they are all very professional (knowledgeable, timely and cooperative). I have extensive custom HVAC experience (now retired) and have not experienced a finer residential HVAC contractor in all my career.

With a home warranty, after no less than 5 visits from 3 different techs, several hours and $50 dollars each time, the company quoted a repair, that one of the techs assured me would not fix it, also telling me it would cost me $800. Ended up cancelling the whole home warranty for a full refund.Carolina Climate Control called me within minutes of submitting a request, scheduled for the next day, Corey was even a bit early and was done in about 30 minutes. Waived the diagnosis fee and charged me just to service the unit, everything is working fine after about and year and a half.

Carolina Climate Control is a fantastic company. I consulted with them this fall to replace both my HVAC units, which were 19 years old. I worked specifically with Grey who was a fantastic representative for the company. He spent considerable time working with me to decide the best units and most efficient units for my budget. I was able to call, text, and email Grey at any time as we worked out the details of my contract with them. Their workmanship was superb and handled stringent Covid-19 policies with ease. My electricity bills have plummeted from $180 to less than $60. It was a great decision to work with them and highly recommend you do the same.

Last year they installed a new HVAC system for me. After getting quotes from multiple places they had the best rates by far. They installed the new system quickly and it saved me the maximum amount they quoted on my electric bill. So we are saving $100 a month with this new unit! We moved from N. Idaho where I had no experience with A/C or heat pumps. My heart skipped a beat when I saw that the temp in the house in the morning was well below the therm. setting though the unit was running. I knew I had to call for service and was anxious that my ignorance would be exploited. I extensively explored the Google reviews (some of which seem suspicious) and called CCC at 8 a.m. Skip Jackson was able to come out promptly at 3:30 and was friendly and professional, and as he explored the unit, exuded competence (he has 20 years experience). The problem turned out to be the ancient wall breaker controlling the auxiliary heat which I will replace today. He educated me about my system (which had no problems - imaginary or otherwise) and answered my many questions patiently. He only charged me the service fee - unexpected! Will use again and recommend!

They did 6, yes 6, units for my business. Now, here is the issue: some jerk had stolen several units. This resulted in moisture in one of the refrigerant lines. Marshalls team spent nearly every day for over 2 weeks to get that fixed, and they charged me NO extra money for that. Literally, the job was way more involved than they expected, and they fixed it with a significant extra expense to themselves and chose to not pass that to me. Really solid guys there!

When we knew it was time to replace our heat pump, we spent a lot of time asking for recommendations and getting quotes from companies around the area. When Carolina Climate Control came out to learn more about our current system, they were right on time, super professional and more thorough than any other company we met with. Drew put together several quotes for us, and really understood our needs, as well as our budget. We were able to find a great system that fit our budget without sacrificing any quality. When Tommy and Ryan arrived and explained their process, they seemed just as excited as I was to get this new system in. They answered all of our questions about the unit, which filters were best suited for it, and how to use our new thermostat. Very Professional and Efficient

I had a clogged line that was causing a major leak though both levels of my house. Turning the AC units off helped that, but not having AC in Charleston in August is a major problem. I called this company per a neighbor recommendation. I called around 8am, they promptly answered and were able to get me on the schedule between 1-4pm that afternoon...phew! They emailed and texted confirmation of my appt. As promised, the tech called on the way and arrived at 1:30pm. Perfect! He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and fix the problem. He was very polite, friendly, and professional. He took the time to explain everything in detail. I was very pleased with the service, so I decided to also sign up for the twice a year service. Both of my units are older and I the pricing was very reasonable. I look forward to working with this company in the future and I would absolutely recommend them. As a final note, I wanted to mention the worker kept his 6 foot distance and wore a mask the entire time. I would highly recommend Carolina Climate Control to anyone in search of HVAC repair, or replacement. I needed a full system replacement last fall, and had three vendors out to review, and quote their services. Carolina Climate Control (Drew) was hands down the most thorough, and attentive from start to finish, answering every question along the way, and guiding me to the best fit for my home. The prices were competitive, or better than the others considered, with superior products (Trane). Installation was delayed due to a hurricane, and they even offered me floor units to use, at no additional charge. Great company, stop shopping, and call them.

Carolina Climate Control with Tommy and Ryan were awesome. Our whole system had to be replaced in our rental which was a two day job. They were very professional, friendly, and great with a project that was tougher then most. I will absolutely be using this company again and will try to request Tommy and Ryan!

Had a code on our generator app that it wasn’t working the morning before a big storm was approaching. Called in & had the service manager here within an hour. All fixed and that’s just one of the reasons we feel they are the best!
