He has been efficient to work and communicate with, did amazing job removing the trees, removed and cut up the tree limbs and most importantly didnt cause any damage to the surrounding landscape. We were concerned about the health of a few trees in our backyard. Mark made time immediately to come to our home and inspect the trees. He was on time, friendly, efficient, and answered all of our questions about the trees. He was very honest and told us our trees did not need immediate servicing, but provided recommendations regarding potential steps we will need to take over the coming years. Hands down amazing tree removal! I highly recommend these folks. They were reasonably priced, clean, professional, and detail oriented. When the owner came by to do an estimate I appreciated how politely and respectfully he spoke to me: he treated me like I have a brain while simultaneously showing me what was ailing my tree and pointing out factors that would play in its removal. On the day of the tree removal he texted when he would arrive and was punctual. My toddler had left a beloved outdoor toy near the tree and was distraught thinking it would be damaged: of course they relocated the toy before they got to work but its an example of how clean and kind they are that the toy was restored to its place before they left! The tree was VERY close to my house but they slowly and gently lowered big branches to the ground and there was never a time when I was concerned about what they were doing: they were obviously cautious experts taking care of business. They also found a wild birds nest and gently placed it on our porch - after looking into it I discovered that its illegal to incubate wild birds inside your home in NC so we will be putting it up in a neighboring tree inside of a flower pot as was recommended by the local wildlife rescue company Claws. When the tree was down and everything was stacked I thought they were done - but no! The porch, yard, and surrounding area was then cleaned of debris and the stump was shaved low and smooth enough to sit on. A+, 5 stars.

Mark and his team removed a very large (120ft++) dangerous injured tree from a very tight spot in my yard today. The tree was growing over a fence and leaning towards drive & house. Mark climbed the tree, safely removed it a piece at a time and lowered the pieces carefully between the other trees / fence / etc. When finished they cleaned up the whole site immaculately. I had a Black Walnut tree leaning over our home that needed removal. Mark Collins and company performed like a team of surgeons. Working seamlessly they communicated through microphones implanted in their helmets with safety as their number one priority. We had two tall trees fall on our property during a storm--one on a building and the other on a fence. I worked with Pure Tree Care to cut down a very large sycamore that was about 5 feet away from my house a couple months back. The team was very nice and respectful. They arrived on time everyday, worked diligently, and had all the appropriate gear on hand to complete the job. This was a very difficult job. They were cutting down a very large tree wedged between my house and a shed. They did a great job with a very precise removal of the tree. I usually only post reviews if the service is either awful or superb. I must say that Mark’s tree services were beyond amazing, I was utterly surprised with the level of customer service provided. He was punctual, kind, and very affordable. Believe me, I have contacted 8 different providers before setting on Mark, so I know what’s out there...Mark’s team was able to take 27 really big trees in just 2 days (100 feet up), and they worked with me in all the issues I had. I cannot recommend him enough. I will definitely be having him over soon to take care of more trees I have.

Mark Collins and his crew arrived on time to remove a huge dead oak right beside our house. All the guys were outfitted with climbing and safety equipment AND they all wore headsets which eliminated all yelling. They used ropes, pulleys, and harnesses enabling they to take the tree down in smaller sections and essentially lowering these sections to precise spots on the ground. With this technique and their communication throughout, the removal was quick and completely controlled. I had one minor casualty which was part of the foliage of an iris that was bent. All branches and leaves were collected and shredded, the bulk of the tree was cut into 2.5’ sections and stacked as I had requested. The debris was raked, blown, and removed. This was all completed in under 3.5 hours. By the fourth hour after they had left, it was difficult to know trucks, a trailer, a chipper, and a huge tree had ever been there. I had no idea that removing a tree could be a stress free experience.

A few weeks ago we had Mark Collins (his company’s name is Pure Tree Care) take down a couple fairly large trees along with a few smaller tree trimming and inspection tasks. We contacted several tree removal companies right after Hurricane Florence, Pure Tree Care was the most reasonable priced company. Mark was very professional and knowledgeable, he listened to our concerns and advised us on which trees should be removed and which should be pruned. It was a daunting task we presented the Climbing Arborist: a very large tree, precariously positioned, with many dead limbs, and with questions of the trees long-term viability. Mark has a powerful mix of professionalism, forestry/dendrology knowledge, and climbing expertise. They are skinnier and top heavy and sway much more with the changing weather.We have had several trees break and some got infected by tree beetles that we needed removed.Although we are super hands on and handy and have all the equipment you think youd need to handle taking down a tree (chainsaw), we felt it safest to leave projects like this to a true licensed and experienced professional.I contacted Pure Tree Care and Mark Collins came out to our home and assessed what needed to be done, how it would be done and provided a very reasonably priced quote (we got a couple quotes) and we set a date to have the work done.He arrived on time, with the safety gear needed and got to work. My husband, our kids and I watched from a safe distance as he climbed the trees that needed servicing and took them down without damaging anything below. He also cleared the ground below afterwards so we didnt have a mess to clean up. It was a fairly quick process.It was well worth spending a little money to have a true licensed (reducing liability) professional handle this type of work to give us peace of mind instead of possibly risking having my husband or myself do it and get ourselves/someone/something hurt/broken in the process.The best part was we kept some of the cut branches and wood (dead tree) to make a fire and we roasted marshmallows afterwards.
