I wanted to treat my boyfriend to a nice barber shop experience and scheduled a cut and hot lather shave with Big D. We got there on time for the scheduled appointment but had to wait an hour and a half to get helped. People who were walking in without an appointment were being helped before us by the other barbers. When my boyfriend finally got helped he got his hair and beard cut quite a bit shorter than what he asked for and was cut up during the shave. The other barbers seemed to be doing a good job, but it seems like Big D was having an off day or something. Seems like a nice guy, but is kinda pushy. He was making comments about me needing to get my hair cut there even though I just got it cut somewhere else, which was a little rude. I wasn’t offered any sort of discount for waiting so long. All in all it was not a great experience by any means.

I got my hair cut by Nate the Barber and he was great. We got started right on time and he asked me questions about what I wanted and how I normally do my hair to make sure he was on the same page. He even checked in during the cut to make sure I liked everything. He delivered exactly what I was looking and I would definitely recommend him and Goodfellas to anyone looking for a barber.

First two experiences with this business have been nothing short of amazing. Great atmosphere, great staff , and two fantastic haircuts for myself and my son. They have found a customer for life. I just wished I would have found them sooner! Support local businesses!

Brought my two teenage boys to have haircuts by Jay. They were both super Impressed which says a lot they both loved the cuts and talked about how good they looked all day.

I was very unhappy with my visit to this Goodfellas because not one employee or customer besides me wore a face mask. I was contemplating calling law enforcement but decided to simply never to go back to that shop or any Goofellas ever again. I will also steer people away from Goodfellas in the future as it is a menace to public safety and our communitys recovery from COVID19.

Hands down the best and only true barbershop on the northern suburbs. You won’t be disappointed by any of the barbers but I highly recommend D. Make sure you make an appointment on Booksy because they are always busy and rightfully so!!

Excellent barbershop! My son came home and I gasped at how amazing his new style was. You could tell D spent time to get such a close, clean and stunning style to the shave. The hairstyle D selected was just a masterpiece. Wonderful barber! My son was elated as he finally discovered a barber that had an artistic and creative sense along with a gift with the razor. Wow! Big D cleaned my fade like no other barber could in Minnesota.

My boyfriend went in to get his hair braided like the website said and they told him that they dont do braids. This is misleading to customers. If they dont do braids then dont have it on the website😡

Get ready! This might be lengthy!Today both of my sons, Parker and Keaton (ages three and four) needed a trim to look less scruffy. I have always chosen to have them see barbers after one bad experience at a kids salon. We have tried out several different shops in the area and were really unable to get a decent haircut for Parker. While Keaton gets nervous, he always ends up sitting still on his own for a good haircut. Parker is simply not that way. He fights it hard with everything he’s got! Weighing in at 60lb, the kid is a beast not easy to handle when he throws himself around! I’ve always ended up stressed to the extreme, embarrassed and unjustly angry with my son. Parker is on the autism spectrum, though high functioning, he still struggles to understand some things and frankly, it’s a learn as you go experience for us parents.I found Goodfellas online and decided to give them a try. Keaton went first and did great! Once it was Parker’s turn he resisted and started getting upset. I tried to redirect him and took him outside for a few minutes. By the time we got back inside the woman who was going to cut his hair had taken the next client... in the end I was extremely grateful for that because the man who ended up taking care of us did a fantastic job powering through it! And it turned out great!! Parker still resisted but eventually was at least able to sit still on my lap for his haircut. When we left I, for once, didn’t feel judged at all and was actually able to enjoy the rest of my afternoon with my kids while again, in the past I had felt defeated and that I was a bad mom.I’m so thankful for the man who helped us out today! He really made this experience as easy as it could be and was professional and cheerful the whole time! We will be return customers for sure!

Dont bother unless you have an appointment or a lot of time to kill.I came as a walk-in, told it would be a while. Then kept getting bumped back by appointments. We must differ in definition of a while.Also, telling me we you are short isnt much of an excuse. Staffing issues arent my problem. Tell me clearly it will be hours so I can make my decision.This isnt the first time this happened, either. I was giving them a second chance. I wont ever attempt this place again. I wouldnt recommend it unless you make an appointment and/or have time to kill.

My barber didnt know how to do black hair. Did a walk in on Monday morning before an interview and was able to get seated and get a hair cut very quickly. Great conversation with the staff and very laid back. My only complaint it that I should have been informed that my barber didnt specialize in black hair- My hair is uneven and he used a technique that in my 30 years of getting my hair done, I have never seen. Instead of using a pick to comb out the hair, he would use a small comb... etc.. sorry but black hair is thick and it curls and you need to keep combing it out while cutting. He clearly didnt know this and I was not going to educate him on it during my haircut. when i called to complain the next day, he told me that he has over 20 years of cutting hair and has done black hair many times in the past and that I could see it on his instagram. There was no apology.

Had a 2:00 appt with nick and waited for an hour for him to get done with someone that seemingly was taken over me because the person getting their hair cut was his friend. I sat and waited until it got done. He then vanished for 15 minutes after that haircut and took someone else. This is after I had been recognized twice and been told that “it’ll be a little longer”. Once someone else in the chair before me I walked out, and hour and a half later. Would’ve loved to given a 0/5 rating if possible.

Ive never been to a better barber. Im mixed and my beard can be intimidating. Mohammad killed it and got it exactly how I wanted. No one has ever done that. Staff has a great vibe.
