I highly recommend Illini Tutoring. They have excellent tutors and are good at matching your child with a tutor that fits their leaning style and needs. They make learning accessible and engaging. Our two kids qualified for double honors math in middle school which meant skipping a grade. They helped my kids plug all the holes in math. They were a life saver this year. With online learning and shortened periods this past year, I was afraid my daughter would have holes in learning. Over this summer, they were able to strengthen her grasp of fundamentals of Algebra and restored her passion for math. Tasos is great test prep tutor who teaches them to work smarter and efficiently.

We have two children who attend Illini Tutoring, one for three years now and one that attended for one year. The instructors (all of them) are dedicated, caring, and engaged. We could not be happier.We used both their SAT tutoring for our kids and sciences (physics, math, biology, chemistry) tutoring. Our daughter received a great SAT score following her tutoring and both kids are VERY happy to go to tutoring, which tells you a lot. If I could have given them 6 starts, I would.

Our experience with Illini Tutoring was outstanding. Their expertise and understanding of our daughter made the ACT test very easy. She walked into the test prepared and ready to conquer the test. We were extremely pleased with how confident she felt and it was 100% because of Illini Tutoring.

Two of our children have worked with Elizabeth at Illini Tutoring for multiple years. She is a gifted tutor who helps explain difficult concepts in ways that are very helpful. She is also quite versatile - although we mainly use her for math, she is always willing to help in other subjects when needed. I definitely recommend!

Coming from a smaller high school, my daughter found herself overwhelmed when it came to college chemistry. In a desperate search to find someone who could help, we found Illini Tutoring. Elizabeth and her team worked with her over the next three semesters to help her understand what she was missing in lecture and labs and get up to speed. Weve also used Illini Tutoring this semester as well to get through calculus. Cant recommend Elizabeth and her team enough!

As a high school junior, our sons test scores and GPA did not correspond to what we thought was his capability. He has worked with Brandon the past year on his day to day workload, and his GPA improved without our nagging him constantly about his studies. For the last 4 months he additionally worked with Tasos to prepare for the ACT. On his second attempt, his ACT composite rose 4 points, with the math component coming up 7 points. As a result, many more college choices have now opened up. Illini Tutoring really came through for our son and he looks forward to his meetings with these tutors.

The people at Illini Tutoring are very professional, but their services are very pricey and they are not very accommodating in their scheduling. Unfortunately, they were not able to help my son improve in math or schedule test prep classes for my daughter.

Our 7th-grader had always found math at school too easy and boring, and we had failed in trying to get him interested in doing extra math at home. This past summer he met with Taso 3 hours a week for 4 weeks, and completed the math course for an entire grade. After the first week he told us “I never knew math was so much fun!” and he looked forward to his tutoring sessions. This moved him into double-honors math class in the fall, but much more important is his newfound passion for math and self-confidence. Thank you Taso!!
