I had a GREAT experience having my devices serviced at A&K! The young men who helped were highly professional, and they were able to fix devices for which I was turned away at other fix-it shops. Best of all, you dont pay if they cant fix it, so there is no reason not to try them! They even took some old devices off my hands for recycling so that I dont have to wait around for the local electronics recycling days. Highly recommended!

This place has treated me very well. I have had two repairs done there. One repair was to replace the volume buttons on my phone after I had jammed them in, and recently, they replaced a completely dead battery in that same phone. They communicate efficiently and quickly and do an excellent job on repairs. I am very thankful for them and will be going back to them for future repairs.

I went to the store with a brand new phone for which I needed a screen saver. I had not even taken off the factory wrapping on the front.After it was done, I showed the technician three pieces of fiber under the screen that were trapping mini air bubbles. He simply waved me off and said I would not notice these once the phone was on. I observed that the same fellow who was effusive and welcoming before I paid up was now ice cold and uninterestedI am not a phone expert, but my experience with new phones seems to be that if one places a screen saver on them before use, there should be no fibers or small particles trapped between the saver and the screen itself.

These guys were very thorough and quick. Even took the extra step to test my charger while I was there after they cleaned it to rule that out as well. It actually clicks into place and charges reliably now. Something as simple as some pocket lint in a charging port (free service btw 🤦🏼‍♂️) almost had me hunting down replacing a charging port or buying an entire new phone. Glad Chris convinced me otherwise and I’ll be bringing every phone related issue to them.

I had a problem with my Samsung a51 not charging h clean the port because it had corrosion in the plug. Fixed it for no charge in less than 10 minutes. Thank you so much for everything Kyle

My son took his phone into A & K Mega Service to have his Pixel 3XL screen repaired. A & K ordered a refurbished screen from one of their distributors. He left the phone as a down payment and so they could get it fixed as soon as possible. A couple of days later we got a phone call that his phone was ready for pickup. At that time we were also informed that the front facing camera was broken while the phone was open. A & K claimed responsibility and said that they would replace the camera free of charge.After he got his phone back he found his Assistant turned off. He turned it back on and found the Active Edge of his phone being activated constantly. When he brought the phone in to replace the camera he told the staff about the Active Edge. They said that they would look into it. They said that it might be that since the camera was removed it may cause it or that the screen they put in may be bad. A & K said that they will try both free of charge because he paid for the screen and the one he got may be faulty.When he came in later that day to pick it up they told him that the new screen didn’t work either. So they ordered an OEM screen to replace it with and overnighted it so the phone would be fixed as soon as possible.He came in the next day and dropped it off. Upon returning the phone was back to full working order. A & K informed him that apparently place that had replaced the screen the year before broke a clip that holds the connection for the fingerprint reader together and replaced the clip with tape. Also that the other shop lost a screw from the inside of his phone.A & K went above and beyond to fix my phone. They didn’t get upset or offended when I told them about the Active Edge. They were very friendly and helpful to my son when it came to his phone and its repairs. Originally I gave them a low rating based on the initial situation, but after I saw the lengths they go to give you great service: 5 stars!

Couple of young guys who are super impressive. Screen in my phone went dead after a drop. My hometown Verizon dealer in Mattoon said a screen would be 3-5 days just to get it. No expediting available. I asked. I use it for my business and needed it back ASAP and didnt want to pay off $350 on it to buy a new one. Drove it to A&K and less than 24 hours got it back as good as new. Very impressive young men.

I was desperate when I went to see them referred by AT&T who wanted to sell me a new phone because my IOS was gone. They were able to fix it! Amazing what a relief. Great service i would highly reccommend This service.

After fixing my phone with cheap parts it continued to have the same problem but worse! They still overcharged me all three times no matter if it had a warranty or not! DO NOT GO THERE

After talking with four people in Customer Service for the carrier PagePlus, and one person who attempted to send me a new SIM card, over the past three weeks, I was pretty frazzled. I went to this place to fix my phone because it fell. They told me that they were going to restart my phone and charge me 40 dollars. When I got home, I tried to use my phone but it didnt work. Do not go there to pay so much money to restart a phone, you can do that yourself. Better go to Fyxit Tech Repair & Services. They really know how to fix a phone and they do it in a much more professional way.

I went there to fix a computer I built a while ago. It was doing some weird stuff so they had it for two days. They did a lot of work trying to figure out what the problem was and I even got updates while they were fixing it. After they told me what the problem was I told them I would fix it myself and that I would tip them because I knew they did a lot of work and they refused. I will definitely come back in the future and be recommending them to anyone and everyone.

I broke the charging port on my iPad with a non Apple charging device. Googled iPad repair and decided to try A&K. This shop is awesome. I walked in without an appointment, described what I thought my issue was, then ran some errands while they repaired my iPad. 25 minutes later and a quoted reasonable fee, not only was my iPad repaired, they had started charging it for me. Would highly recommend this store.

It took a little longer than quoted to repair my cellphone (they were sent bad parts) but overall they were very conscientious and kept in contact through the whole process. When I got my phone back, it was perfect...like new.

After cracking the screen on my old IPhone 6, I needed a replacement. The first person who helped me was very courteous and it took a short while to repair. When I got home, I noticed that the speaker was distorted during calls. I took it back the next day and another equally courteous employee fixed the problem without charge.I would gladly recommend A & K Mega Service to anyone who needs tech repair.

These guys are great. Not only did they have the best price of anyone in town but they also try to find out the problem before charging you money. I took my iPhone 6S plus into them for a battery replacement. The first thing they did was ask why I thought it was the battery. After telling them why I thought it was that, they did confirm and replace the battery. It then turned out it was the battery and something wrong with my mother board. They told me what they could do and after deciding not to have them fix it and just to get a new phone they put my old battery back in and didnt charge a dime. I would definitely take all my business to them. I think I found my electronics repair guys.

I have read some of the other reviews, and I have to say that Chris is awesome. About 6 weeks ago, I had an associate steal my keys while I was passed out drunk. He left me at my daughters moms house, and went to my apartment and stole my electronics. I didnt want to involve the police and was searching for the offender myself. Well, I happened to meet Chris on personal time. I was explaining that my Lenovo Yoga Pro 3 was stolen. Incredulously, he asked me to repeat it. When I repeated, he told me, Lets go. He drove me across town at 9 pm to his store. He asked me a few questions about the laptop, went in his back room, and returned with my laptop. When I offered to pay him for it, he replied, Im not going to make you buy your own stuff. He didnt even know me except for one other brief, casual encounter. Needless to say, since then, weve grown to be friends. I recommend him to my friends & associates. I recommend you, too.

They are my go to place for screen repairs. They were also able to arrange an major internal fix. If they couldnt fix it I would not have to pay anything. They fixed it and I have not had any problems.

Got there approx. 15 minutes before they opened and there was already customers waiting for them to open. I took this as a good sign. My wife had dropped / shattered her phone and they fixed it up like new. I would definitely recommend them to my friends!

I would 110% recommend them to anyone with electronic issues. I had water spilled on my brand new Macbook awhile back, when I went to the mac store they told me it would cost me $800. Thats almost how much I paid for it so that was out of the question, I took it here to Chris and he had it fixed within a week and only charged me around $200. It was having charging issues & the fan was extremely loud for a new computer, he fixed both. Hes later on fixed a virus I got on the computer, fixed cracked phone screens, jail broken my Iphone, walked me through all the tweaks and free music I can get. I literally wouldnt trust anyone but him with my electronics.

I bought a phone from these guys (Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S5 Active) about 5 months ago, now I cannot make or receive calls with it. This phone was originally from ATT, I called them and Asked them why this phone is been blocked, they told me that it was reported as stolen....in short I would not recommend anyone to buy from them because you may end up in gail for steeling phones
