This company has exceeded every expectation responding to my recent plumbing and water flood incident. I was fortunate to meet their owner, John Myers, who was covering on the day I called. However, it was members of his team who equally performed and displayed the utmost professionalism and courtesy. They communicated very well throughout the process and handled the event and subsequent repairs and restoration better than could be expected. Great work Tidal Wave Response!

Best company for any type major damage by water, fire, septic, or other home or business related. They work right there with you, side-by-side, throughout the entire process. They are quick and thorough getting all restored and works direct with insurance companies. Good and courteous crew. They provide as much peace of mind as possible during major disasters. I called asking about leak detection service, and the receptionist told me she would have the manager call me back within 15 minutes. Sure enough, he did return my call in a very timely manner and I explained my issue to him. He was very generous with his time and excellent advice. Unfortunately, his company does not provide the services I needed. But he took the time to explain to me what he thought the problem was and gave me a recommendation on who to call. Then he sent me the contact information for the company he knew could do the job for me. He was extremely helpful and professional; and I will use his company if I need the services they provide.

After I wrote and posted my initial review on (June 28, 2021) regarding my experience with Tidal Wave Response, the company owner, Johnny/John Meyers, began harassing and sending text messages to my phone around 9:00 PM (see attachment). Attached is the call log with statements from Mr. Meyers such as: Im going to call your insurance company tomorrow, You are completely wrong. This led to me blocking Mr. Meyers number so I could get some much-needed rest (the messages were unprofessional, and I felt threatened). During the time frame, I was a customer Mr. Meyers nor his team members made such an effort to communicate with me regarding my home repairs.I also include a screenshot of the conversation regarding the uninsured area that I was totally area of at the time. The only requirement I stated to Tidal Wave was for the carpet to be the same color throughout my basement area. So, lets revisit the conversation/text that took place on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 (see attachments). I received the first text message from Mr. Desmond, including two options; option 1 was for $2975 (with carpet and new padding) and option 2 for $2595 (new carpet over old padding). I clearly respond via text in all caps that I would not pay any additional cost for the carpet, and please send out another vendor with more carpet options. Desmond responded with a happy face emoji, Great, thanks. I will let our carpet vendor know you want to change your carpet/color selection. they will contact you to schedule another sample showing. Next, I received another text message from Desmond with two more options, exceeding $2000.00 and requesting to know if I desired to proceed. After the carpet vendors returned, I selected a color that was close to the uninsured area.At this point, I was under the impression that we were moving forward in the right direction with the repairs. To my surprise, I received a call from Suzanne Collins (Friday, June 18, 2021) stating the carpet I selected was a $400 upgrade. I would need to cover these charges before the repairs begin (I felt this was a misunderstanding, and Ms. Collins agreed to text Desmond to clarify what the $400 cost was for). I waited throughout the weekend and called Demond on Monday, June 21, 2021. When I finally spoke with Desmond, he stated he was working on my case and working with the vendor regarding the price. Desmond, sounding frustrated, said the vendor was unaware that the carpet was an upgrade and could not communicate that to you when he came out. However, Desmond was optimistic he could get the vendors to work with him. I responded by saying, ok, and we ended the call. Lastly, this is when John/Johnny Meyers called me asking if I would pay the additional $400.00. He then went back to talking about the uninsured area again (I felt we had already resolved that issue). This was when John/Johnny Meyers responded with the following: I will not tolerate my guys being upset. I paused and stated, how do you think I feel waiting this long time to get my house back in order. This was when Mr. Meyers said maybe you should call 50 floors or somebody else because I am not making but $400 off the whole deal. I requested my deductible, and he stated I would refund the money within the hour (Also, I do not appreciate the unprofessionalism and the public showing of my contact information and my case).

I cant praise the Tidalwave team highly enough. After an extremely unpleasant sewage backup in the basement, response was very rapid to organize clean-up, drying and sanitizing and then a very efficient and quality process put in place, working with our insurance company, for remodeling. Through no fault of Tidalwaves, more than one clean-up process was needed, but they went above and beyond in terms of responsiveness and service to make sure things were put right. From the owner, John, through first responder Michael, project manager Desmond and office liaison Susan, everyone communicated quickly and clearly, resulting in great job. Its rare to find a company that is so professional, and operates with both integrity and care.

I was very pleased with the quick response, professional handling, and especially the quality of their work. Colin was instrumental in coordinating all the moving pieces and I could not be happier with the mitigation and repair work done by Tidal Wave!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this company. Our basement flooded one Saturday evening when there had been excessive rain throughout the week. Our entire business is located in our basement and it was a disaster. (We found out later we had a crack in our foundation running the entire length of the basement.) Tidal Wave was recommended to us and we gave them a call the next day. I believe it was the owner (I think his name is Johnny) came out that day- on a Sunday- to assess the damage. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised he came out on a Sunday. He was super friendly and answered all of our questions with patience.They squeezed us into their schedule quickly. I wish I could remember the name of the project manager that was supervising when they came back out to pull up the floors and place the fans (maybe Mike). He was great and walked us through everything. After we had waterproofing and repairs done with another company, we also used Tidal Wave to replace all the floors in our basement that had been damaged. Colin was our contact for that project and he was great. Our new floors look amazing and he made the process very easy.This was a very stressful situation and Tidal Wave definitely made us feel like we were in good hands. Every person we spoke with was professional and friendly. Hopefully we never have to call them again, but it’s good to know they’re there if we have another issue. Highly recommend this company! After being recommended by the company sent to my home for leak detection, I contacted Johnny and he’s been extremely responsive, courteous and frankly taken better care of me than my own insurer. His team is knowledgeable, prompt, professional and have given me the information needed to get my home back to normal. The demo team amazed me at their cleanliness during the work (no dust) and attention to detail.I’d certainly recommend them to others if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of damage to your home. Christopher was the team supervisor and he and the team were great! We called them, they came out and seemed very professional and provided a quote. We had a pipe backed up in a small bathroom. It’s a hazard and after being all set to go, they just decided to turn the job down. That’s their option, but we have a health hazard and waited for them to respond after setting everything up with our insurance (even had a check cut) and then days later they just changed their minds about doing the job stating they are too busy with other projects. That is definitely not professional. Now we are stuck with a hazard and have to scramble to find someone on Christmas week for a job that the longer it sits, the worse it gets. Terrible service and not worth your time.

Great service. Their mitigation supervisor, Robert Mrozinski is awesome, he explained how the whole process works; from mitigation, dealing with insurance, plumbing fix and restoration. They helped move furniture around which was a major stress relief.

Beware ! They installed defective equipment that extended our mitigation by two days. They came in and replaced the defective drying equipment that had been running for 2 days, causing us to add two days onto the mitigation. When we received the bill they charged us for the extra 2 days at $2,000.00 !!! REALLY ??? Why would I be charge extra for their defective equipment..... stay away from this company if you canUpdate: Was contacted by the owner right after posting this review, he processed a refund for the $2,200.00 that my insurance company was over charged. I will update my review once my insurance claim reflects the refund. I just dont understand why it took me posting a bad review for this company to make things right. The refund is a good start... we will see if they offer anything for the 2 extra days of all those machines in my house due to their defective equipment. I will update you all

This Company is Veryyyyy shady. We had a ceiling leak coming from our neighbors upstairs. Someone named Mike from Tidal Wave came over to access damages for our insurance company. He brought in all sorts of cameras/ devices and told us that we had thousands of dollars in floor/Wall/Ceiling damage. He noted all of our floors needed to be replaced and he he told us that they could start repairs tomorrow. Mike stated if insurance doesn’t approve the repairs they do, Tidal Wave would cover all of the repair costs, minus the deductible. We did not feel comfortable proceeding with repairs w/o approval from our insurance company. So instead, we asked Mike to just give us paperwork that mentions all the damages he noted so that we could forward it to our insurance company. But oddly, Mike refused to give us anything in writing. We continued to request documentation of Mike’s findings, and a month later, Tidal Wave called my insurance company and told them we only had slight damages in the ceiling. We were so confused because Mike was literally ready to tear out all of our hardwood floors, and now they were saying we did not have damages??? They would not provide us with any of the paperwork or pictures taken from Mikes initial assessment. The whole company seemed shady and untrustworthy. It seems like they try to trick customers into business. Use a different company that is more honest and transparent.Update****Someone named Johnny from Tidal Wave just called and offered $100 to remove this review. It won’t be removed because this was an honest experience and others need to be warned.Update 9/18/20:I see the owner just responded to my review. As you can see, he has absolutely no professionalism and he is a liar. Why would he post his customers name and phone number online? He is trying to bully me into deleting my review.#2. His entire response was a lie. We have never filed a home insurance claim in the past. This is our very first claim. I dont know what he is talking about in regards to payouts. We have not even gotten any money from the insurance company yet because our claim is still pending. It wouldnt even make since for our insurance adjuster to release that sort of information to him.#3. The truth is, YOUR EMPLOYEE Mike came into my home to access repairs for our insurance claim. He used a device on our floors to measure moisture. He stated that we have very high levels of moisture that came from the leak in our ceiling. He even put cameras in our wall and said we had mold damage. This was YOUR employees assessment. Afterwards, Mike suggested that he come back tomorrow to replace all of the hardwoods in my home and to replace the drywall. We did not feel comfortable moving forward without getting approval from our insurance company. We are in no way trying to commit insurance fraud, we simply asked for documentation that reflected YOUR EMPLOYEES initial assessment. Mike was unable to provide an assessment, because he was in fact, trying to commit fraud. Please look Tidal Waves review on yahoo review. That customer had a very similar review to mine.Response 7/1/21:Johnny I cannot believe that you are still commenting lies under this post to cover up your shady behavior. State Farm did send their own adjusters to our home and our claim was paid out and closed months ago. Why do you keep mentioning insurance fraud when your employee Mike is the one that accessed imaginary water damage in our floors. He wanted to do repairs but we would not allow him to start until our insurance adjuster approved the repairs. You know that you are wrong which is why you tried to pay us $100 to delete this review which we will not take. Everyone I have worked with there has been wonderful! My circumstances were pretty awful with my home’s condition and within a day, I was on the road to getting everything cleaned up.Michael was great, calling me back late on a Saturday night and even coming out on a Sunday. The crew that came out to start the demo was punctual and left everything very clean when they left. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs help!

The owner of TWR, Johnny came out to my house on Saturday to inspect the water damage. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He outlined how the process would work and answered questions. The next morning, the project manager and his crew showed up on time as scheduled. We sat down for 20 or so minutes to discuss everything. Extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful once again. He even helped me speak with my insurance company to open the claim. They performed the removal of my hardwoods and set up the drying fans in a reasonable amount of time. All on all, my experience with TWR so far as been top notch! Great customer service by Tiffany and clearly knowledgeable and friendly project manager, crew and owner!

David was on time, friendly, took his readings with his equipment and checked everything after listening to us and answering any questions, then said it was only an estimate to come out to check our walls to make sure mold was not hidden inside since it kept reappearing. It just turned out we have a bad humidity problem. No charge at all, I was floored! They then got back to us by email on the recommendations to remedy our problems. They were onsite the day after a large flood. Once the process was explained, workers were able to start the clean up within 30 minutes.This is a full service company and I will be using them to complete the repairs once my house is dry. I hope the process for restoration is as smooth as the process for cleanup.

After calling a plumber to fix what I thought was an easy repair, we wound up calling your company to dry up and repair water damage. Michael and hs crew were fantastic in getting rugs and tile pulled up as well as emptying the spaces that were wet. It took them only about 2 hours to complete. I am very satisfied by the professionalism shown and the great work ethic shown by all the guys.

We highly recommend Tidal Wave Response! Johnny came out late last night to assess a failed water heater that flooded our finished basement. He coordinated with Mr. Rooter Plumbing to have a plumber dispatched at 11:45PM who confirmed the water was shut off and put some emergency repairs in place to ensure no further damage would occur.This morning at 7:10 AM (20 minutes earlier than expected) the Tidal Wave Response team was on site at our house. They assessed the damage, and assisted us in contacting our home owners insurance company to create our insurance claim. They preformed the tear out of water damaged materials, setup the ventilation equipment and treated the water damaged area to prevent contaminations. All oft his work was completed within 3 hours. Mr. Rooter was pulling in just as the Tidal Wave Response crew was pulling out. The water heater was replaced within 2 hours and we have our water services fully restored.We are completely satisfied with professionalism of Tidal Wave Response. The crew will return in two days to reassess the areas and begin working on the restorations.Tidal Wave Response delivers as promised.

I had an issue with the plumbing in my house and initially called in a plumber. He recommended and called you guys when he saw the extent to which there was an issue. At the time I really didn’t even understand or know what I was dealing with inside my home until everyone swooped in about an hour later. I went from running errands to bring stopped dead in my tracks due to nasty water running through my house- walls and ceiling. Rob came in and calmly stepped me through the initial process. His crew arrived about 45 min later and they worked through the night to make sure all was cleaned up and demoed to ensure the house was ok. It’s a lot to wrap your head around, so having a hood reliable company come out a week prior to Christmas put me at ease. I’ll be recommending y’all if anyone asks. Looking forward to these fans being removed and working with you guys on restoring this mess.

Johnny was at my house to conduct the inspection within an hour of being notified. Rob and the crew were at my house several hours later working hard to get things moving. Everyone was very professional and polite. They kept the communication going every step of the way.

Very, very professional from start to finish. Crew came into my home removed all of the damage items that was damaged by a water leak from the upper level of the home. Worked very fast and cleaned up behind themselves as if they were never there. It was like watch a action movie. Setup the dryers and other equipment very fast also and organized our furniture so that we could get to things as needed. My central air conditioning drain got clogged and my lower level of my home got soaked. I am talking carpeting, baseboards and bathroom vinyl.I called a plumber and I was told that it was an air conditioning issue. So I called a repairman for that issue. He rectified the issue which still left me in water. This has never happened to me before, so I was lost as to what to do next. I remembered before the plumber left, he handed me a business card for Tidal Wave Response.I called and spoke to John Myers the owner. He told me about the services that his company performs. I asked him to please send a crew over. The speed in which they responded was incredible. While Rob and I were upstairs filling out paperwork and taking to the insurance company, the response crew took up the soaked carpeting, removed baseboards, vinyling and doors. They discarded all of the soaked items and deployed blowers to get everything dried. The concrete slab needed to fully dry out.Two days later, a gentleman came through with some samples for me to pick out. I can now breathe again due to the rapid response and professionalism of Tidal Wave Response.With the age of social media, there is no need to pick a company based on a blind search. Check the ratings and read the testimonials. Johnny was amazing! We had a big water problem with our washing machine and he quickly took control of the situation. He liaised with the insurance company directly and made sure everything went out smoothly, he had in no time drying machines (he starts to work with no upfront money), his warranty I dont get paid if the insurance company doesnt is great, he even upgraded our floors after the flood, and everything looks amazing. Highly recommended. As he repeatedly said to me, Dont worry, Ill take care of you!

I had a problem with my downstairs bathroom. I noticed water coming up from the toilet and through the shower drain. I called a plumber to determine what was the cause of the issue I was experiencing. He took care of the blockage and referred me to Tidal Wave Response. John the owner was here within the hour of the plumber competing his work. Explained to me he would send a crew out to remove what was damaged and place their machines to sterilize the room. Thats when Mike and Collin came in and began to survey the downstairs room to go over what needed to be done based on the visible damages that occurred due to the water damage. As soon as they arrived the response team started stabilizing the room downstairs to prevent contamination through the rest of the house. I was very surprised by how quickly they started discarding the ruined debris and setting up the equipment to keep the room sterilized. Mike got on the phone with my insurance company to go over what happened explain the severity of what I was experiencing and helped with the inquires my insurance had concerning this problem. Tidal Wave Response services were fast, convenient and efficient. I really appreciate the job they have done.

Anthony and the crew were very courteous and professional in setting up the mitigation steps and also walking me through the process of next steps. I woke up this morning to my house full of random men. They came due to some drain clogging we had encountered. Tidal Wave was awesome! They were professional in every aspect of their work. They worked effectively and valued time. They are detailed oriented. Not only did they explain the work that needed to be done, a manager stayed on site and even help the workers lighten the load of clean up. I enjoyed the whole process. This was suppose to be a very stressful adventure. It was quite and eventful day. They assessed the damages, ripped up my flor with care and left my spaces cleaner than they found them! They even mopped the floors where they had to walk. I am extremely impressed and confident that they will do a great job on your home too!

Tidal Wave has been an absolute nightmare. The staff are not up front people who rushed to tear my kitchen apart but reassure me that the adjuster can verified afterwards and no cost to me. This company after destroying my kitchen stated that certain insurance companies are hard to deal with. So knowing all of that with the insurance company that was said is one of the companies that is difficult to deal with, why would you think that it was okay to demolish my kitchen and not complete the work, because the insurance agency didnt wanted to give up anymore money. So they wanted me to take out a loan for 4,000 dollars- crazy. Drop me simply because they could not get in any more money out of my insurance agency or get me to do the loan. Then after all of this with discernment I spoke with John Myers who stated he work 14 hours a day and dont need additional problems. Guess what, I work 12 hours a day and now I have no kitchen due to you being so sensitive and selfish, and decide to relieve yourself from duties that should have been finished or negotiated with the Adjuster.This is unjust and ungodly- .Mrs Suzette Collins has send me an email of a total that has no clarity on what the cost is.....THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF AND ALL I CAN REMEMBER IS THE WORD HELP BEING USED A LOT BY THIS COMPANY. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS HELP WAS ADDED ON STRESS AND UNABLE TO TRUST.
