I had to go back with the new title nearly 2 months later for a re- appraisal. Once again, the process was transparent, efficient and resulted in a fair price. I delivered the car 5 days later. The turn-in process was smooth and the paperwork minimal: a thoroughly easy experience. The folks at CarMax were a pleasure to deal with.

Wes is definitely very professional and has very excellent customer service skills.I went in and he greeted me and made my sale experience so easy and pleasant, explained everything from A to Z and made sure to explain more before I signed anything. We also had a pleasant conversation in between.The place was small and clean, due to covid they advise you to wait in your car or outside, which I didnt mind since I had my baby with me. I went online to receive an appraisal for my car. It was easy and straightforward. I made an appointment and I worked with Colton to sell my car. He was great! Walked me through the process, was completely knowledgeable, and made the entire process quick and painless. Great, once I got to Carmax - that process was flawless. I had issues scheduling the appointment online. When I got the confirmation email, the location said Norcross when I had specified Chamblee. I called the contact number in the email and they couldnt find my reservation in the system. They transferred my call directly to the Chamblee location, but I sat on the phone for 45 minutes until hanging up. Carmax requires all parties on the title to be present, and in my case I had to coordinate with another person to make that happen. Thankfully my reservation was correctly scheduled at Chamblee after we decided to just show up. I recommend a text or call system to confirm appointments in advance.

I was treated professionally and with courtesy and presented with their offer within 15 minutes. On my return several days later I was again greeted and treated with respect. After a test drive of the vehicle they presented me with my check and license plate. All took about 30 minutes. A pleasure to deal with them in every aspect. I recommend highly.

This experience was so awesome. The website allows you to look for what you want in detail and take your time without being bugged by a salesperson. Pick your car, have it shipped to your location, test drive and approve purchase and financing was done on the spot(even got a better rate than at my own bank!) The real surprise was the amount I got for my trade in. I always expect to be low balled on this kind of stuff but not at Carmax!!I got a good bit more than expected and on the upper end of Blue book! So thrilled with my new “ fat ride”! They were very thorough and fast. And gave me an estimate. Way too low because the mileage is too high for them to resell on their slots. So theyll have to send it to auction which gives them a much lower return. I wouldnt go here unless u have less than 50k miles on a car

I went to CarMax just to get a second appraisal for my old car. While there, I stumbled upon my dream car on their database, which I havent been able to find anywhere. They had it shipped to their location overnight just for me to test drive, and within a few hours, I walked away with a new car without dealer fees, unnecessary add-ons, or end-of-year discounts. They even made sure I was well-informed about how to add the car onto my insurance, get refinanced by my bank, and checked by another mechanic. Their complete transparency and passion for cars is what sold me on the car that day.

This was my second time using this CarMax in 10 years and my most recent experience did not disappoint.I was greeted upon entering, asked the reason for my visit and told where to sign in. My associate Wesley took care of me, asked a few questions, inspected my car and took it for a test drive.I had received a quote from Carvana, but CarMax beat them hands down. I completed my sale and left with my check with enough time to deposit it the same day. It was a Saturday and though I got in just before the rush, it was done in about 30 to 40 minutes in total.You will need to have your title, drivers license and if anyone else is on the title they will need to be there with their license in order to complete your sale. Quotes are good for 7 days and the process is professional, fast and fair. I highly recommend them.

This is my third CarMax vehicle and my experience in morrow and kennesaw were awesome. This has been absolutely terrible! From the drove customer service (I did most online, otherwise I would have NEVER purchased), to the ELECTRIC vehicle that was given to me with only 47 miles to empty... they didn’t even prepare me for a test drive. Just had a bow on it and I’m like... ?? Umm... now my car isn’t charging past 62 miles and the service rep is even worse than the “salesmen”. A car I haven’t even had a week yet isn’t charging... Hope I even make it to a service station since you know, my mileage is limited 😑

They only give your current car an appraisal at this location. This is not a dealership. Dont be fooled by the photo attached to this listing. I was able to walk-in, sign-in and get my appraisal done in about a half hour. You can make an appointment online or via the app too. They were quick and fair. Based on photo I thought this was a dealership too. Had to go to a dealership about ten miles away.

I purchased a car from CarMax Express and was able to drive the car for 10 days before it started experiencing issues. During that time, I was able to personalize my car with my own $$ (Tints, Tires, Mats). This being my 3rd purchase from CarMax. I notified CarMax, which appeared to be a minor issue. It took a few days until they could get the part in for repair. Unfortunately, before I could bring the car in for service, the car died and I had to have the car towed to the service center. CarMax said they would have their tech’s look at the car and get back to me. Service initially treated this as just a routine visit, not someone whom just purchased a car from them, after bringing that to their attention I was offered another form of transportation. I arranged a ride to pick up a rental and waited patiently for CarMax to diagnose the issue. Week 3 – passed, they were no closer to fixing the issue. They informed me that they were going sending the car back to a local dealer to make the manufactures repairs. A few days pass and Im told that I need to turn in the rental so they can put me into a loaner vehicle. I drive across town (taking some time from work) to make the exchange. Week 4 - I still have no update on what is going on with my car other than its being looked at by the dealer. I have been receiving calls pretty much every day; but when the update is, we have no update, Im not sure how beneficial that is to a customer. I finally give up and call Customer relations to see if I can get more information. I receive a call from an extremely helpful service manager and was told that the dealer was in the process of bringing my car back to CarMax when the same issue cropped up again. The dealer then had to get their engineers involved to try and diagnose the issue. Week 5 - The end of the week arrives and they inform me that the dealer has returned the vehicle and it has been fixed! I arranged to drop the loaner vehicle off and then pick my car up on that Saturday. I have the car for about 45 mins and a different issue starts coming up. Furious, I call Customer relations and then get transferred around after explaining my situation. They offer to try to get me into another vehicle, after Ive had a bit of time to figure out a replacement from their inventory and then start the transfer process At this point the current car is still drivable and it will be a few days before the new vehicle arrives. I bring up that Ive already put $$ into my current vehicle and would like to know if I can get some compensation for this plus all of the inconvenience of everything I have detailed above. Im told well look into it, but rest assured we will take care of you. Week 5 - The following, Monday I take the car to work, but on my way home the car dies and I have to get it towed back to the dealer again. (yes, that’s twice) After speaking to multiple people. I get ahold of a service manager and CarMax offers me another loaner vehicle. I arrange another ride back across town to pick up the loaner (again taking time from work) that I can use until my replacement vehicle gets transferred in. The new replacement car arrives late on Friday and I arrange a meeting to inspect / test drive it on the next day. I again ask what compensation I can expect. CarMax’s response is because they already paid for the taxes on my broken vehicle that my only recourse is to eat the $$ I put into a faulty vehicle. They would be happy to apply my current car payment into this new vehicle. So, there you have it. 20 years loyal customer, 2 cars previously purchased, all the time wasted used only to be told thanks please spend more $$ with us. There is nothing we are choosing to do to help you. After some more push back, I was at able to get a refund for the faulty vehicle (down payment + car payment) but nothing for the $$ I had already put into the car. This is how CarMax treats their loyal customers. So no I would not do business with this company ever again.
