Hands down the best barbershop in Atalanta. I’ve been going here for about 4 months now and Mary Rose has definitely killed it for me! Her attention to detail is uncanny. Great Men’s Barbershop! Been going here for almost 2 years. Yes it’s a little pricey for a men’s cut but you can enjoy a complimentary beer and/or coffee with your cut. Booking online through their website is incredibly easy and user friendly. All the barbers are talented, friendly, and use top quality equipment that gives a clean cut. Highly recommend!

The Commodore is a newer, small barber shop in downtown Chamblee. I have buzzed my hair (myself) for 13 years and, after growing my hair out, my brother recommended coming here for a cut and beard trim. I am really glad I did. Setting up my appointment online was really quick and easy. Rich talked through the cut/style with me and did a great job... I have gotten a few compliments already. Looking forward to my next trip.

The Commodore has a great vibe and the barbers are awesome! I love seeing Mary Rose to get my undercut cleaned up. The service is always great and punctual. They also take Apple Pay if thats something that makes your visit more convenient.

We had the best experience! Our barbers were nice, professional, extremely talented, and very stylish which compliments the vibe of the shop. They made us feel very comfortable from the beginning, making the experience the best. We got skin fades and they did extremely well. The hot towel at the end was a nice touch. The location is also near a lot of good dining options and they even offered recommendations for us. Looking for a new barber in Atlanta, I booked a foil fade appointment a month and a half in advance-well worth it! I figured given the length of time I needed to book in advance was a good sign of demand & quality, and I was right! (Part of the wait was due to my own schedule limitations). Even though this was my first time, Rob took great care of me, with a level of care and attention to detail so I felt like a long term regular patron. One of the benefits of the Commodore is being able to schedule an hour long appointment. You never feel rushed, and you feel like your haircut is given an elite level of style.

I usually dont write reviews, but I felt it was necessary to do this one. I have gotten a haircut about three times now over at the Westside location. The first couple of times I was pleased with the haircut, but the last time I was there, the barber did not cut it how I wanted it. I even showed him a picture as to how I specifically wanted it cut. Long story short, the barber was on the phone while cutting my hair for about 10 minutes. Then once he saw his next customer come in, he rushed me out of his chair. I did not even get a chance to look at my hair all around like he usually does. I later get home thinking my haircut looks great, but that wasnt the case. The fade was bad. He cut one side higher then the other and left more hair on one side. I am paying $40+ for a haircut. This is very unprofessional and I expect better.

This place is fantastic! I made an early morning appointment, and was greeted and treated extremely well from the moment I walked in, to who I believe is the owner, saying thanks for coming this morning while I was walking out. Zach was the professional that done my cut and shave, to which both came out perfect. On the cut; I done the best I could to describe what I was trying to get, and he done the rest on making it look great! To the shave; never had a better straight razor shave. From the hot peppermint towel, to the manly-fragrant aftershave, it was just a really pleasant experience. Probably my favorite part of the whole experience, which was wonderful all-round, was the attention to detail on the cut and shave lines. I had never seen my face cut/shaved to frame the lines that makes this ordeal what it was, but I’m completely satisfied with it. Would definitely recommend to some one who wants a quality cut and shave with a relaxing atmosphere and professionals who are top notch at their trade. Thanks.

This place is the very definition of quality of service and expertise. Yes it is pretty expensive for a hair cut and shave coming out at something like $50. Despite that, it remains one of the best and most memorable experiences I’ve ever had getting my hair trimmed and shaped up.

The straight-razor finish along my cheek line was the icing on the cake.So fear not! —turns out there ARE people out there who will treat your facial hair with the respect and consideration it deserves.

There are very few people and places you can go to who will serve you well, exceed your expectations, and leave you with more than what you had coming in. And none of those places I know would give you an awesome haircut while doing it like The Commodore Tonsorial Parlor.Ive set an appointment to go back there again. And you should too!

The dude (rob) flat out knows how to cut hair. I have been going to him for a little over 3 years and have never been disappointed. I’m new to The Chamblee area & tried this barber shop because of the location & excellent reviews. I had been getting my haircut by the same person in Greenville, SC for the past 2.5 years, so I was naturally a little nervous walking through the door for the first time, but the staff at Commodore was very welcoming. Rich did a great job on my hair. He is very friendly & pays close attention to detail. I’m looking forward to returning to Commodore many times down the road. I strongly recommend this place.

Very expensive old school sophisticated barber shop. A soon as you enter the shop you have that felling they are best at what they do, and what makes it great is knowing you are goint to get great haircut that will leave impressions of guy who take care of himself. They only work on appointments, make sure you make one before coming.

I booked over the phone and didnt see the price listings for the haircuts on their site. I ended up payig 40$ for a haircut I get every where else for 15$ and it took almost three times as long. Im not sure if this is normal for Atlanta or if a Supercuts hot towel and shaving the back of your neck justifies a 40$ charge. Just make sure you book through the site, that way you know what you are paying for.

He’s traveled 🧳 and taken his pro barber stylist team all over the world 🌎 from LA, NYC, Boston, Amsterdam, London, etc for ongoing training to remain the best barbers and barbershop in Atlanta. Never in my life have I seen anyone as good as him in this arena because he’s so passionate about what he does. If he hadn’t moved to Atlanta from Tampa I was on the verge of flying 🛩round trip to Tampa just to get my mean foil fade. So, just a brag on my best friend Rob Hopper the creator and owner of now 2 locations in Atlanta in Chamblee and in the Westside Provisions District. Having a longer, curly beard Ive always been nervous about finding someone to shape and trim my facial sweater. I stumbled thru Yelp and found The Commodore. Got an appt booked with Anna Marie. The shop was well kept, smelled great, clean and simplistic. Anna Marie was a gem. She listened to me as I described the weird ways my beard grows and how I wanted it shaped. She knocked it out of the park! Very professional and helpful. Definitely worth the price (which I found to be very reasonable) and worth the drive from my home in Lilburn. Highly recommend The Commodore!

I can’t begin to do these guys justice. I’ve tried nearly every barbershop in ATL (American Haircuts, Freedom Barber Co., Porkchops Social Club, and The Shave to name a few). None of the other spots can come anywhere close to the quality cuts I’ve received from Rob, Brandon K., Brandon M., and Zach at The Commodore.Their dedication to continuing education, attention to detail, and passion will keep me coming back despite living next door to Freedom and Rudy’s.

So after a year of not cutting my hair I was looking kinda like a mountain man and needed a change. Took a chance on this place since I had moved farther away from my usual mens salon and I am so happy that I did.Was tipped off by the coffee girl from down the street (I wanna say moonbird coffee but not sure, they were great too) that the owner Rob was a great stylist and a great guy in general.I showed Rob a picture of myself when I actually did like my haircut and he went with it but suggested some edits and I trusted him. So glad I did because any of my previous haircut problems went right out the door. He added little touches of flair to my style and it was the first time in a LONG time that I have actually liked my hairstyle immediately after getting it cut (it usually takes a few weeks after it grows in a little bit)Great music, friendly staff, they were always busy (good sign) and I have been getting nothing but compliments on my hair since. I saw The Commodore Tonsorial Parlor on Instagram and decided to book a cut with Rob. I saw photos and was expecting a good cut and a nice environment. But, let me tell you, this place far exceeded my expectations. As a walk in, Rob was cutting another clients hair. He invited me in and called me by my name, even though I have never met him. Me invited me to grab a drink and help myself to any drinks I could choose. He finished the cut with his client and invited me into the seat. I told him what I wanted and showed him some problems with my hair and he told me what he would do to fix them. After about 40 minutes, I was done and learned a lot about Rob, and I am sure he learned a lot about me. Hes a great guy and I loved talking to him. He styled my hair and I was done. If you are looking for a professional barber, this is the place to go. Great people, great environment, great cut, and great service. Definitely coming back to this place.
