This is a smaller facility than some. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. As a member for only a few months, Im always impressed with cleanliness in the locker rooms. Thats probably the biggest reason I joined as well as facilities all around the USA.I travel allot and I would highly recommend you get a Black Card membership to enjoy the freedom of exercising wherever you go.

I travel all over Pennsylvania for work and this is one of the best planet fitness gyms that I have been to. Nice equipment and very clean.

I absolutely love Planet Fitness. There is absolutely no judgment, and they do take it seriously. They will not tolerate any foul play, throwing of the weights, grunting, judging what so ever nor bullying. As it should be. Planet fitness not only has staff that keeps it clean but all the members pitch in and clean after every use also. Team work is amazing, the price is unbeatable, and if you have any questions about anything there are plenty of friendly people there to answer always with a smile on there face. They even welcome you with a smile and tell you to have a great work out. Can’t beat it. Proud member.

The fitness center decided to close early due to the incoming weather. This Planet Fitness had, by far, the most friendly employees I’ve engaged with from Colorado to Virginia.

My husband and I have been members of Planet Fitness for many years now. We recently moved to PA from MD a few months ago. And we absolutely love our “new” Planet Fitness! The entire staff has been extremely helpful and kind. We have ZERO complaints!

Decent gym. Friendly staff. Good equipment. No action on covid safety. I stopped going after seeing that our area has a ~30% vaccination rate and no one there wears a mask(members or staff). They seem to purposely ignore CDC recommendations in order to placate the ~10% of the average population who would be vocally against covid protections.I’m aware this is a failure of their central leadership and not as much an issue with the management at this gym location. Seriously - get vaxxed. Wear a mask. Healthcare workers are burnt out and people are still dying. Small steps save lives.

Planet Fitness has great equipment! The only thing is no racks or Olympic bars just free weight for Smith machines and dumbbells up to 75 lbs.

I really like this gym! They have plenty of equipment, I’ve never had to wait on a machine. Their app is great for when you can’t make it there in person. The app also helps you with the equipment if you don’t understand. Very clean facility! Nice showers and huge changing rooms, at least on the woman’s side! Staff is always super friendly and helpful.

As a business they are very much lacking in customer service. Employee attitudes are not pleasant nor do they make you feel like this is the gym I want to be doing my workout in.The only plus was they did have some new equipment

I like Planet Fitness, at this point they really dont enforce mask wearing, I understand while on a machine you can take it off but many people are just walking around without a mask on so at I leave when they walk by me. My point is, the Staff doesnt enforce so Ill stay away until there is better enforcement or a vaccine. If you are comfortable not wearing a mask that is on you but dont push it on others that dont want to take that Risk.

Well run fitness center. Still have a few pieces of equipment not working for more than a week which is not good. Wipe down procedures were followed consistently as I saw it...so thats good. Pleasant service folks who were knowledgeable about their job. Also a plus. Disappointing that we had to go into the center to cancel or pause our membership. Thats a corporate thing and NOT good practice and needs to be changed. I buy and sell things every day from Amazon for more money and dont need to be physically present to do so as PF requires. Poor practice. They have good equipment and satisfactory tv coverage to help you pass the time when on the equipment. All in all, I would reconsider joining again when in better times.

I love planet fitness especially Chambersburg because the staff is friendly and attentive and this location seems to be cleaner than other locations I’ve been too... I’ve been wondering though, are you suppose to go in order during the 30 minute circuit because I encountered someone today who was bouncing back and fourth and straight up asked me to move

I’ve had good experiences here bc of one worker, but I’m very disappointed in the professionalism being carried out here and lack of communication with members. They claim to have sent out an email telling their members that they would be closed today, but I haven’t received an email from PF since April! Planning on canceling my membership ASAP and joining the powerlifting gym near ship.

Its planet fitness. I mean they have lots of equipment. Down times and busy times if thats what you prefer. I hate wearing a mask while working out but I recognize the necessity I guess. I gave 4 stars because they are on top of the cleaning of equipment and locker rooms. I was there for just over an hr. and the bathroom was cleaned at least 3 times.

Worst customer service ever. I called in this evening to cancel my several year long black card membership. I only go in to tan from time to time. Talked to Brandy. She took my name and date of birth and address. Then she said I had to come in person to cancel. I said I am unable to wear a mask to come in person and they cancelled my friends membership via phone a few months ago. She said when we were closed we cancelled by phone; now you have to come in. We require you come in person or send a certified letter (which requires I go into another public place). I said his was cancelled right after you reopened. I asked to talk to her superior, she stated she was Regional Manager insinuating there is no one superior to her position. I said well Im not coming in so I guess Ill dispute the charge since you wont cancel my membership. She then sharply stated she would cancel it but i would still pay for this month since I didnt cancel by the 10th. I said you can look and see that I have been in once since March. She then said, in a very belittling way, have a GREAT day and hung up on me. I plan to take legal action under the ADA (I have cancer and have been told by my hematology oncologist that wearing a mask will weaken my immune system) and will contact an (aggressive) attorney this week. Please note, I did not show up to cancel without a mask, I tried to call to avoid any issues. If anyone has similar dealing with this PF, please contact me through my fb messenger.

They decided to close early today, had no notice of it, when I joined they said the gym was 24/7 now barely ever get to work out because they close early on the weekends, considering just canceling my memberships once I can’t even use it.

I called the Chambersburg planet fitness on 1/4/21. They answered the phone but as soon as I mentioned canceling my membership, they hung up. I called back several more times but I got cut off. I call this unprofessional. At least have the decency to talk to me.

I like this location. Always clean.My one complaint is that there are certain members here that feel as though they are immune to local guidelines and have a right to risk their fellow American’s safety by not wearing a mask. I see plenty of individuals only pull their mask down to take a quick drink of water and then place it back on.I feel bad for the employees here that have to “crack the whip” and enforce mask wearing which will inevitably end up in an argument about “American rights”.To the workers: keep up the good work and don’t let bigotry get to you.To the members that adhere to mask wearing: thank you for being so kind and “clean”siderate to your fellow Americans.To the members that refuse to adhere to mask regulations: please stay home and buy your own gym equipment. There is a global pandemic that is currently at its peak (again). If you think you have the right to risk someone else’s health by waving around your “rights” or “medical condition” then please exercise your right to stay home or find another facility.

Best gym in the area. It’s open 24 hours. Staff is very welcoming and it’s very clean. Prices are great and there’s plenty of cardio equipment and a wide selection of strength machines. The black membership card includes red light therapy, lay down and stand up beds, massage chair and a hydro massage bed, which feels amazing! You can also meet up with a personal trainer for free. I really enjoyed coming here.

Really tired of the Masks enforcement, if people don’t want to get Covid they should stay home. The manager was very rude when he confronted me for having it down while on a machine, didn’t care about anything I had to say just got me to put it up then ran away.

The staff is friendly and helpful. My monthly rate is completely paid for by my Medicare advantage plan. The interior is spotlessly clean including the bathrooms. The various exercise machines have recently been updated and are easy to operate. The hydromessage chairs are marvelous after a workout. Gym members are friendly and nonjudgmental. The only negative comment I have is that the stationary bikes are not as comfortable sitting as the old bikes were so I simply don’t use them anymore.

Best Planet Fitness Ive been too. Ive been to Martinsburg, Frederick, Gaithersburg and even some in Texas. This is the best gym.

Mostly Anonymous, clean, mostly safe. Only once in several years did someone I dont know approach me in a way that was not welcome. I was polite, but firm that I wasnt there to gain social contacts. Mentioning my husband who happened to be in another part of the gym helped me discourage this person. One time I saw a guy hanging out near a piece of equipment, but not really using it. He was ogling a young woman nearby. I didnt ogle him or let him know I was keeping the situation in view, but I would have let someone at the desk know that he was taking his activity to another level. The facility is open and accessible.

They need to work on how they present themselves because what I saw was unprofessional people being disrespectful for no reason. Convenience is ALWAYS Key! Facility is clean most times and the equipment is operable! The only Real Complaint I have is ... Im an older Client that have to workout on specific stationery equipment, in order to maintain muscle strength and R.O.M.! HOWEVER, ITS TOO COLD IN THIS GYM WITH BOTH THE A/C AND CEILING FANS RUNNING AT FULL SPEED!!! HERE LATELY NO MATTER WHAT TIME I GO, THE CEILING FANS ARE FULL BLAST, in which causes my nerve pain to flare almost each time!! And my joints are screaming for relief!! What is PLANETFITNESS thinking about? Sweating opens pores... The Fans are a great idea... But with The A.C. and ALL the ceiling Fans hurling like helicopters in a small area is a little weird!! 😣

Love this place! 20 bucks a month gets you 24 hour access to the gym and unlimited tanning! Their tanning beds are all level 4 beds. Plus their tanning lotions are inexpensive...the same ones are over twice as much at sunbodies tanning. Great place with excellent staff and super clean facility!

Very clean and welcoming

Very professional establishment. If youre there for any length of time and are paying attention, you can see all the staff making rounds keeping the place clean and refilling the paper towels and cleaning supplies. You are always greeted when you come in and they always make an effort to say goodbye when I leave but I dont always hear them because I have ear buds in. Great environment.

We have been members for a bit and we love it. We do, of course, try to go during slower times of the day. During the busier times of the day, this place is extremely tough to enjoy. Bathrooms are clean and so is the equipment. The staff is also friendly.

I have cancelled my membership and I will not be renewing it, It is ridiculous to work out with a mask on especially when you have health problems like I do! You go in there one week they tell you, your exempt its okay and they make notes on your account then next time you go in there they tell you thats no longer acceptable you must have mask on at all times!! Plus the lady behind the desk Amanda was one of the most rudest, snottiest people I have ever met there they call themselves a judge-free zone when all that lady did was judge me and then the company judges us!! The company is one big hypocrite!!

Ive been going to planet fitness since they opened in the area. 7 years. There Is nothing to fear here. You can blaze through your workout without worrying about anyone bothering you, as most people are timid and afraid to even look you in the eye. You see most of the same people and the staff Is usually pretty friendly. There are massage chairs, tanning booths and red light therapy which helps rejuvenate your skin. It gets packed so sometimes It is hard to get on anything you want, but there are more than enough tredmills and cardio machines. It is great to go with your family, as its not a real macho type gym. The price Is good too for the two types of memberships. So, If you see me there...and you will... Dont be afraid to say hello or ask me to show you around. See you there!

Planet Fitness is bashed for not being a gym, but personally I think this location is great. First, its open 24 hours (awesome). Second, membership is only 10$ for one gym location and thats a great deal if youre a student like me. The place is always clean, the staff is friendly, and the machines are plentiful and almost never out of order. Planet Fitness may not be a bodybuilders paradise, but its ideal if you want a low cost gym that you can go to whenever you want, keep to yourself, and get in a good workout.

The staff are great and provide as much help as needed. Restroom and equipment are always clean. A very pleasant club to attend. I thank them all for their efforts.

Planet Fitness is great for cardio with an abundance of machines however the free weight section is small and lacks of enough equipment to accommodate the most frequent users. Unless you are there early in the morning, mid afternoons are almost impossible to find an open bench which translates into waiting for equipment to free up, using circuit machines or skipping your free weight workout altogether. Otherwise it is a great place to work out and you cant beat the price.

We like Planet Fitness in Chambersburg. The staff there are friendly and helpful. The facility is exceptionally clean and well maintained. It is nice that Planet Fitness meets the needs of all ages, sizes and abilities. I highly recommend this place!

Staff was uppity and too concerned with their appearance. Had zero knowledge of their machines. $10 a month is a myth. There are many added costs and mysterious random charges to your card. When confronted, they bounced me between managers for 3 days until I showed up in person. Then they had me wait 2 addition hours due to a late manager, and when she finally arrived, she was rude and extremely unhelpful. She told me that any concerns should be sent to corporate, and told me to leave. All in all, I have still not heard back from any of the resources in their contact us page. I suppose $83 is a small fee to pay additionally, and without knowledge to identify a company that I am not interested in doing business with. I need to rely on your integrity.

Love this place! Great atmosphere, and judgment-free. It has a large variety of exercise equipment, and is very clean. The employees in my experience have always been very kind and helpful! Also, the music is pleasant and at a good volume (not too loud). Many of the machines have a small tv attached to it, so you feel more at home and relaxed during your time there. Very affordable!

Ive been going to the Chambersburg location pretty much since it opened. Id give it four stars, but the front desk staffing needs help.Please let the key tag scanner sit out so people can just scan and go! There doesnt need to be such a line to just scan in.Some times, youll have people waiting to sign in, sign in to tan or use a bonus feature and one person is in charge of everyone while the others are in the hallway chatting. One lady in particular has the worst attitude. Its like youre distracting her from existing by wanting to check in. Ask to tan while youre the only person in line, its stank face city. If you hate your job, and you hate retail / the general public aspect, find something that suits you!I like how this location is very large, compared to Shippensburg or Hagerstown for example. Those two are more narrow, long skinny buildings and just dont flow very well. I do wish we had some more diverse equipment to use. I like how well/ often new equipment is installed. The newer treadmills are nicer to use.

Pretty nice facility! Tons and tons of cardio equipment. Ample weight machines, I never have to wait long even when its packed. My wife and I have the black card which we enjoy. For $20 a month we are getting way more than any other gym we have been members of and we are getting access to a lot more stuff. I love the water jet massage table and the wife is keen on the tanning beds.

I love the fact that the gym is 24 hours so I can go as late as I want considering the fact that from about 4:30-9:30 the gym is usually packed. The staff is usually very friendly. My biggest complaint is the lack of a barebell rack. They only have smith machines which limits some of the exercises the I can do.

Over all the facilities are accommodating. Plenty of equipment and tanning beds but they could do better with cleanliness. I think they are usually understaffed for the amount of foot traffic going through there.

Ill return, someday!!!! I miss going here!!!!!!!! It was my JAM!!!!

The Planet Fitness Chambersburg is a great place to exercise. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. The facilities are always clean. The exercise equipment never fails and there are plenty of machines so there is no to very little wait time. I really enjoy Planet Fitness.

Ive been lifting weights for 15+ years and have never had a similar experience - if youre not from around here or in with the right people, the weights area can be pretty territorial. I shrugged it off a few times with minor jerk moves here or there and now just cant be bothered to weather the mundane politics of a Planet Fitness weights area after an interaction where I was made to feel uncomfortable just going about my business. I brought up how the situation I experienced could make women uneasy about returning to the weights area (I was the only one there as it was), they not only didnt care but the manager also never followed up. Disappointing to see- Im a pretty reasonable person who has confidence in myself, someone whos more shy could have an interaction like I did and be intimidated from going back to the weights areas maybe for years, might not even share the experience and just stop going. This is the kind of stuff that makes the weights area a thing and yet Ive never until now experienced that stereotype. Thats uncool guys - take a look at your culture.

Most of the staff there are awesome. A few make me want to go somewhere else. For a place to advertise no judgement it sure doesnt feel like it when certain staff members are working. Brandy is the best!
