I would give SOS negative stars if I could!I went to SOS because they are local and I needed a PM (Preventive Maintenance) done on my diesel ambulance, the tire fixed (inner dually tire), and to get a quote on an oil leak issue on the upper passenger side of the engine (a common issue on the Ford PowerStrokes of this type). More than two weeks later: They hadnt finished fixing the tire, they did not perform the PM, and really did not give me a quote on the oil leak. I asked for the service notes from the service, to verify what they actually did to the vehicle, they refused to give me them (the owner refused).INSTEAD, for some reason, of doing what they were supposed to do, they were playing with the accessory electrical system (all the lights and sirens) and trying to find the auxiliary air unit: Which they HAD NO IDEA what they were doing and those systems had nothing to do with what I brought the ambulance to them for. They turned on the security idling system, that allows the ambulance to stay running while on a call. If someone tries to hijack the ambulance, itll turn off. They should have never touched the system, as its not part of the normal operation of the vehicle. They also, for some unknown reason, cracked into one of the electrical panels, which is in a locked side compartment on the outside of the vehicle (so they went through the trouble of unlocking it), pulled out a bunch of wires, left them flopping around in the compartment, and never replaced the panel cover (to this day, they never gave me back the panel cover), so its wide open.They charged me for the tire and the PM and would not allow me to take it until I paid for it, even though they did not do the PM and messed up other parts on the ambulance.Two days later, I went to a legit diesel mechanic, who did great work, performed the PM correctly, and fixed the oil leak correctly, within a week.The new place had multiple mechanics inspect the vehicle prior to working on it (after I told them about my experience), to determine if SOS even started the PM: EVERY mechanic said aside from topping-off the fluids, a PM was NOT performed on your ambulance anytime in the last year!I asked the new place of they would write an affidavit testifying to this fact, but they were worried about retaliation from SOS. That in itself tells you something!So I just have to chalk it up to lesson learned: Stay FAR FAR FAR away from SOS. They will get whats coming to them, karma will get them. I wont shed a tear when they get shafted.Shameful service, shameful owner, shameful business.

Before trying this place I went to at least 2 other places and no one could figure out what was wrong with my freightliner. I brought it to SOS and they were able to figure it out and fix it. They did a great job, I highly recommend them. I’ll definitely be a returning customer.

These guys got me in & out quickly. John looked over a truck before I purchased it. He gave me a lot of valuable information and a restaurant reference. Seemed like a real knowledgeable solid guy.

We broke down near by & got towed here. Our drive shaft was bent & u-joints were busted in our 2008 Chevy Express Duramax. The guys at SOS were amazing. Found the problem right away & had our drive shaft re-tubed, replaced our u-joints, hanger bearing & slip yoke in just a few days. They kept us updated & were extremely caring, nice & hospitable. Would recommend to anyone in the area!

Our 45’ motorhome needed some air brake diagnosis and work done, these guys found the issue, picked up the part and got us back on the road in just a few hours, all with a great attitude & teamwork. Would definitely recommend them if your anywhere near this area,

We own a couple of buses, and Tommy and the crew have always treated us fairly with price and timing. Theyve also gotten us out of a couple of pickles with their on-site services. Would definitely recommend !

Got to shop to change steer .. had my own.. said it was 125$ one hour min..left the shop for pickup and service called me back saying that he called around to find out what other shops charge... told me he can do it for $45 witch was reasonable .. went back to the shop to get it done ..3 Stars because shop should know the pricing on this stuff they are Truck shop.. but Im glad someone looked into this and adjusted their pricing for tire changes...

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought my truck in early June to fix an oil leak and to find out why my truck dosent have any power. Had my truck for 3 months didnt solve problem fixed the oil leak but made the powersteering leak worse and now leaking oil again. Never found out what the power problem was. Just excuse after excuse. I had to keep calling them to see why it was taking so long. I was more than patient, didnt yell or curse. I finallt found out myself that my turbo is going bad and need to change the injectors. Thanks for nothing, worst customer service ever. Worst business Ive ever been to.

Went in to have the radiator replaced, mechanic recommended I get it repaired, only to tell me the next day I will have to replace it, that wasnt my problem. Dropped it off on Monday, didnt get the truck until Friday with a 1000.00 labor bill to replace the radiator not to mention ion the $30.00 a gallon coolant. Mind you Im a local boy

Maxx came out and fixed an air leak in my front suspension on the side of the road. Very quick and a reasonable price. Highly recommend SOS if in the New Orleans area.

Great people. Tommy talked with me late Friday night and knew my repair would be simple. He sent a mechanic out the next morning that had me going in 30-45 minutes tops. Did I mention the T/A in Slidell let their tire and lube specialists or (insert favorite word for anything but a mechanic) whatever you call them had told me it was an Ecm problem and needed to go to Freightliner 😲. Great job and will certainly call on Tommy and his crew again if needed. Thanks a million.

This is a good place to repairs done quick and efficient..good quick techs and very nice and friendly shop of good folks...Steve even gave me a some homemade seafood. Good people!!
