We say our lab puppy loves VCA Centreville so much that we took him there 3 times in one week (two vet visits and boarding). So far we are very happy with VCA. They are professional, trustworthy, and took great care of our puppy when we boarded him for a family trip.

Full disclosure - Im an obsessive dog mom. I have a very high expectation of service when it comes to my babies (way higher than I have for my own personal health/wellness). Since moving to NOVA 6 years ago I have been through 6 vets. Dr. Pollock at VCA was recommended through the rescue I adopted from and volunteer for. We had some issues with a positive heart worm test and dealing with the company that makes the preventative my dog is on. I cannot tell you how much time Dr. Pollock spent on the phone with me and the Vets at the heart worm preventative company, without the slightest hint of annoyance. Unlike my last vet, her advice was reasonable and informative. For example my dog, like most of us, needs to lose weight. We tried to put her on high quality food before and it messed with her digestive system. Our last vet just insisted we switch foods. Dr. Pollock suggested staying with the same brand but switching to their weight control formula, which worked! Its the little things like this that have such a big impact. Like it or not, Dr. Pollock is stuck for life with this obsessive dog mom!

Super engaging. They take the time to explain everything they are doing, why etc. Definitely didnt feel like my puppy was just a #. I would highly recommend them!

I am a first time dog owner and VCA Centreville has been outstanding. From the customer service over the phone to the Vet and her patience with my numerous questions, they have been amazing. I cant say enough nice things about them.

Our 16 year old Persian long haired cat never needed a bath until recently so we took him to a full service groomer who attempted to bathe him but had to give up because he was too aggressive. Then we took him to Centreville Animal hospital where they gave him a veterinary exam, blood tests and then sedated him to give a complete bath, sanitary trim and claw trim. The old cat looked beautiful, smelled fresh and he was in a better disposition than he has had for years. Today we took him back for another sanitary trim and brush out. The staff is wonderful, they treated him very quickly and he is a very clean and happy cat again.

My cat Kofi was a patient at VCA for 1.5 years. I gave this place a chance for as long as I could. This is a great place if you need shots and general care for your pet. If your pet develops a CHRONIC issue, this is not going the best place for your pet to get the attention they need to get better. They are too busy and overrun to listen to your needs and concerns. They put a bandaid on the situation and move on.They mean well, but they are just too busy since they are corportate run and not privately owned. My cat developed a serious skin condition, they did what they could and I decided to see a feline only clinic instead. This clinic unfortunately over perscribed some medications and my cat became severly underweight (6.5 lbs due to over medicating Atopica). I switched vets and we weened him off the drug and placed him on a appetite stimulant and medication for a GI tract issue.This practice knew about my cats problems for 5 months and never once voluntered to do a standard blood panel on the animal to see if there were any internal issues contributing to his problems. My new vet decided this was needing to be done to weed out this as problem and to get this off my mind as a concern. The last few months have been a nightmare dealing with this clinic and being scared sick about losing my best friend. My cat is better now after leaving this place and I unfortuntely did not have a good experience here.

Doctors are good , but the staff are so rood and not helpful , watch it when it comes to payment , they let your pet to die first , they think about their payment first, they are careless people

This establishment has been our vet for over 13 years now. They have seen us through the deaths of our senior cats, kitten care, and a needle swallowing surgery. They have been patient, reliable, and calm with both our cats and us! They offer boarding, most medications, Royal Canin prescription diets, and cat only rooms. During the pandemic, they are doing curbside service.

He is the first veterinarian that I have ever had that always takes his time answering ALL my questions and he is extremely thorough which puts me at ease. I never feel rushed when I am here. They are always so patient and understanding and supportive. All the DVMs here are great! I have had dogs all my life and I have been to several veterinarians in the Virginia area. This is the only one where the prices are reasonable and the staff in INCREDIBLE! I mean you really get it all here. I feel so safe knowing my baby (4 yr old Great Dane) is being taken care of by such amazing people. They truly make you feel welcomed and accepted. They always go above and beyond. Even from when you first walk in the door, to when you meet with the veterinarian, to when you are finished. I cant illustrate how pleased I am with everyone here. THANK YOU!

We had to find a new vet after losing confidence in our previous veterinarian practice we had been using for 16+ years.Dr. Chris Vanderhoof is absolutely AMAZING!! He is kind, compassionate, patient, and very thorough. Although I have yet to meet him in person due to Covid-19, we love Dr. Vanderhoof!!! He did a great job of answering all my questions and treatment options so I am comfortable with our plan for our fur baby, Sprinkles. Dr. Vanderhoof goes above and beyond what I expect from a veterinarian! I cannot express how thankful I am to have found him.I highly recommend VCA Centreville to anyone looking for a veterinary center that cares for both animals and their human parents!

Great doctors, but this place is never on time. Always add at least another 30 minutes on to each appointmemt.

I paid more than $20 for 2 tablets of Trazodone. In google, you can easily find then $0.19 per tablet. Do not ever buy anything here.

Ive only been bringing my dog here for a short time but the experiences weve had so far have been really great! My dog gets very scared and nervous at the vet but every time she is there the staff is always so friendly and sweet to her. They never seem annoyed even though shes probably the hundredth scared dog theyve seen that day. Like I said, weve only been here a short time but weve seen Dr. Nichol and she was very wonderful and sweet!

Brought my pug here after moving to the area and having a horrible vet in my previous location. They accommodated our emergency appointment right away, and everyone we encountered were so nice. I saw Dr. Pollock and she was extremely thorough, professional, and pleasant. Answered every single one of my questions confidently and as detailed as she could. She went over every option possible, then told us what she would recommend. At my last vet, I felt like all recommendations were just to get money, but here I felt like her recommendations were genuine and she would recommend it for her own animal. I appreciate how awesome VCA was with my first visit. We will definitely be staying with Dr. Pollock!

Just had my appointment this morning and we loved it! Not pushy at all with extra vaccinations and really listened to us. We went to centreville square previously and they wouldn’t listen to what we were saying and ignored the fact our dog doesn’t like to be constrained. When we went to VCA they were nice and listened to us about our dog and how she reacts. Will be sticking with this company!

I am very particular to which vets take care of my dogs. I thought I knew good vets until I met the people at this place! Simply amazing! I have raved and raved to anyone that will listen. The calm, care, compassion and knowledge they bring is unmatched. They seriously fed my dog Kong peanut butter on a stick while giving her a vaccination to help sensitize her to understand going to the vet is a good thing. They treated my dog as I would and possibly even nicer!

Had a horrible week husband almost had his leg cut off in a work accident and all the other chaos life throws at you my baby boy wasnt doing well. He was old and not really comfortable so I knew it was time was short. Like I said the week was bad and was waiting on payday but he couldnt wait. I called and between sobbing and apologizing I got the story out including no money till payday. They said thats a conversation for another time and to bring him immediately. I pull up and they were waiting outside for me. Dr. Nichol came in and explained every step. Weekie wasnt in pain just not feeling well, after the xrays they found multiple tumors and we knew we couldnt cure it just would prolong the inevitable. We decided to say goodbye on a good day then wait on a day when he was in pain.Dr Nichol was right there she explained everything and helped his passing and was calming us down too. She was crying right along with us. He wasnt just some cat to her she honestly cared even though she just met him.If you are looking for a new Vet she is the one you want.Thanks so much

I can not recommend this practice highly enough. I took one of my 17 year old cats in to be seen, and unfortunately made the choice to put her down because her quality of life was in decline. The staff was very sympathetic and kind, the vet who treated her was knowledgeable and straightforward. Dr. Vanderhoof was amazingly patient with my kids’ presence during the first visit (I didn’t have time to find a babysitter), and was so gentle with Minion during the exam and during the process of putting her down. I just wanted to say thank you to your team for their kindness and professionalism. I picked up her ashes, collar, and paw prints today and was touched by the care taken with her remains. Thank you for treating her with such kindness and making the loss a little more bearable for our family. We’ll be bringing her brother to you for his check-ups from now on.

Dr Pollock and staff are consistently attentive and thorough in caring for and advising me and my daughter on our loving Pomeranian who suffers from heart failure. We particularly appreciate the followup calls and emails to remind us of any upcoming appointments or medical procedures. Our 10 year old Pom is so important to our family that we want the best and know we get it at Centreville Animal Hospital. We are NEVER laughed at or embarrassed to ask any questions which did happen to us ELSEWHERE! So if you are not feeling OK with your current vet do not hesitate to bring your precious pet to CAH.

Ive been going to CAH for about 3 years now. They helped me move on when I had to put my sweet golden down after 15 years. They actually came to my house so she could rest under her favorite tree to go. Then they gave me a lock of her fur and sent a card a week later! My new puppy is currently in their office while Im at work being seen for some hind leg troubles and I couldnt feel more assured that hes being cared for. They are a bit on the pricey side but its well worth it for the level of knowledge and care they bring to the table.

I can not to say enough how wonderful this hospital and staff are. I am a client that is very picky when it comes to my pets care due to working in the veterinary field previous. I have a dog that has chronic issues and we are frequent visitors to the office. My dog Ammo has had surgery at the hospital there 3 times and he has received AMAZING care by the staff and doctors. They treat us almost like family with the care and concern for Ammo. I will be a life long client of their office.

I have been taking my two cats to CAH since May and have loved the care my pets have received. My cats (especially my 17 week old kitten) are always greeted with a warm welcome and seem to forget that they are even at the vet!The hospital is well stocked with Hills and Purina foods, making it a one stop shop for me. Im a fairly new pet owner, causing me to have a lot of questions concerning vaccines and such, the Doctors are always more than happy to help me with them. They also have affordable prices, especially given the high quality of care, which is great for poor college students such as myself!

This place is amazing! Ive been to many vets but this one is a keeper. They take amazing care of my princess girl. Unfortunately I had to put my other baby to sleep this past weekend. I have had a previous bad experience with my mom when she had to let her cat go so I have nervous on the out come. Thankfully everything went smoothly and I couldnt have asked for it to go any better than it did. If you want a place where the really care about you and your fur babys comfort I highly recommend coming here.

My two 13 year old dogs needed their annual examinations, vaccines and lab work brought up to date, and their teeth cleaned. As in the past the staff at CAH handled these requests with compassion, courtesy, promptness and professionalism. The dogs were examined, vaccinated and samples taken for laboratory testing while kindness, treats, and kind words were in evidence. Dr. Pollack and her staff handled the two older dogs the way I have over the years.The lab results were phoned to me the next day and an appointment for the teeth cleaning was made for the following week. As I dropped the dogs off in the early morning, at least three staff members greeted them by name and made them feel as comfortable as possible. In a few hours I received a phone call telling me that all went as expected and the two dogs were almost ready to come home. When I picked them up later, the dogs were anxious to see me and ready to travel home with a little slower than normal reflexes which was explained by staff members verbally and in the discharge instructions.The whole two day experience was as I have enjoyed in over 40 years with Centreville Animal Hospital. I was privileged to own this animal hospital for many years, and work with many fine people and pets. I still see the level of animal care to be practiced at the high level Centreville’s pet owners and their pets expect and deserve.

I have been relying on CAH since 2001 to keep the four legged members of our family healthy. Dr. Taylor, the veterinarians working with him, and the staff, have always provided high quality medical care in a very professional manner. For a few medical issues that required the expertise of specialists, Dr. Taylor was always very helpful in suggesting the appropriate specialist and providing options to ensure the best medical results for our dogs. I highly recommend CAH and will continue to use them for our pets veterinary needs.

One of my cats had a bladder infection which started in the middle of the night. I called in first thing in the morning and was offered a variety of times to bring her in. Doctor Crystal Taylor was excellent. The care was first rate. Diagnosis was fast, possible issues were ruled out, decisions were made regarding treatment and we were updated during the day regarding her progress. We went to pick her up later in the day and received or biggest surprise. We are new to Centreville Animal Hospital and came from a large vet that didnt separate the cats from the dogs. Our cat would come back to us stressed and upset from the prior vet which was always distressing. Yesterday we learned that our cat needed to be woken up as she was sleeping so deeply in the Cats Only part of the hospital. This was after she also had her claws clipped about an hour before we picked her up. Our cat has never felt comfortable enough to sleep in a vets office in the 8 years she has been with us. I was completely stunned to see a cat brought out to us that was curious, happy to see my husband and I and completely calm. On the way home she immediately started looking through her carrier out the window and seemed back to her old self. I cannot say enough about this Animal Hospital and the quality of care that they give to the pets in their care. Its not about the money at this hospital. Its about your pet. Their comfort, their care and their future wellbeing.

I have been going to CAH since 1998 and have found them to be compassionate, knowledgeable, experienced, told what any test results were, and spent time educating me. I would not go to another vet unless the cat needed special surgery, and the doctors they recommended for special surgery were great also. I will continue to use CAH and would recommend them to any other cat owner.

My dog needed a tooth extraction and Dr. Toscano quoted the procedure to be around $720 since her schedule was full until the following week we had Dr. Travis performed the procedure. When I went to pick my dog, the bill was $1,009. He said it took him 40 min rather than 15 min because it was “more extensive procedure” and he used more lidocaine and another pain meds for additional $70 should be part of this procedure. Then he added injection antibiotic for $112. Original quote for the antibiotic was about $50. This place is a rip off. I will be taking my dog elsewhere from now on.

I guess you could say that CAH is like my second home. For more than 20 years CAH has been taking care of my Labs--19 of them! From routine care to complicated procedures, the staff has always been there to provide the best medical care along with lots of TLC for human and dog! They are the best!

I have two dogs, coco and mocha, and my baby coco suffers from a really bad skin issue.. I have been to a few different vets but didnt feel like anything was helping my baby. I found CAH online, and they are amazing. Mh very first time going there was on Tuesday, and my baby coco is starting to look a lot better. Dr. Pollock is amazing, and you can really see she cares about your pets. The staff is also very sweet and friendly. I love CAH.

A vet friend of ours recommended Dr. Crystal Taylor at CAH. We took our 2 dogs and cat in for their annual checkups with Dr. Travis Taylor, who was fantastic. He worked with us with to comfort our anxious dog (who ended up being his best friend by the time we left), he gave us the tour of the facility, and at the end, our bill was much cheaper than VCA, where we had been taking them. About 3 weeks later, our anxious dog ate a good portion of string from one of those rope toys and it got stuck. We worked with Dr. Coco, Dr. Wainwright, and Dr. Park and they were all fantastic, keeping me updated throughout the long days of waiting to see if surgery would be necessary and after surgery. The rest of the staff was wonderful as well. My dog, who has always been a nervous wreck everywhere we go, is no longer nervous at the vets office. I was very pleased with how my family and I were treated by these wonderful people and couldnt have a higher opinion of their practice.

Very disappointing. We took our cat here who was sick and not feeling well, the vet ran a bunch of test and could not figure out what the problem was, and that was after we had spent $400. He said it was a heart related issue and referred us to CAVC in Vienna. SO we go there and spend another 800$ and they said there is nothing wrong with the cats heart. So overall I have spent over 1000$ for someone to tell me they dont know whats wrong with my cat. Then after I call CAH back and say that there is nothing wrong with my cats heart, they want me to bring him back in and admit him for overnight observation ,which is 1700$ no thanks. This place looks nice but they are a ragtag group who rips everyone off. I understand vets need to make money and a living, but if I spend over $1000 at least help my pet, and not say you are not sure whats wrong and we need to run another $1000 worth of test.
