Definitely fast service and professional, nothing to say about that but kinda standoff-ish welcome. Professional but cold, walking in to get my car back felt like a chore to be honest. They seem to be always busy so I guess that explains why they cant be warm to everybody that walks in. Its understandable. Other than that, my car was fixed faster than expected, the price was ok and like I said, they were extremely professional in their way of handling business.

This shop seemed overwhelmed and with insufficient staff. Phones were ringing off the hook while people waited in line to be helped. They told me over the phone my state inspection would take less than an hour and ten minutes later when I showed up it changed to a two hour wait. They shouldn’t bring people through the door with false promises.

Miss the way it used to be. Customer service stinks now. They used to pull your car to the front for you after service. Now you’re on your own to walk out to their backyard lot & get it yourself. It’s the little things that make a difference. They need a new person working the registers. Customer service is gone. We want Rob & John back!!!!

I get all my cars oil change from here for a number of years. I also get my state inspections done here. The most important aspect is that they are HONEST. They will try to sell to things that you need but they don’t push it if you decline. Other places may be a few bucks cheaper with promotions but I like them for their customer service and honest work. Also, they have shuttle services. I would down grade to 4 stars bc they no longer match coupons or honor expired coupons.

I have been bringing my cars for service at the Virginia Tire & Auto for many years now. I have always been happy with their service , their cost reasonableness, and their honesty in diagnosing my cars problems. Unfortunately, during this last visit, I was extremely disappointed in my service. I brought my car in because my car did not start and I need to jump the battery. I asked them to check it out my battery system as well as an oil change, a tire rotation, and to check a slow leak in one of my tires.I brought it in at 8am and had not heard any status from them by about 2pm so I called to check in. The person I spoke to said that my oil change was done and I asked about the battery check, rotation, and slow leak. He said that he showed no record of this on my ticket. So he said he would add it and they would make sure these things were taken care of. A couple hours later they called to say my car was ready and I asked what they found with my battery. The guy had to consult with someone and he said the battery had a leak but this was adjusted and the battery recharged. So I went in to pick up my vehicle, and they charged me $62 or a battery test but did not do the tire rotation. I asked the manager why the tire rotation had not been done and he said he had no record of it on my ticket! I reminded him that he was the one that wrote up my ticket in the first place.So today (Sunday after my car service on Wednesday), I go out to run an errand and my car does not start! dead as a door nail! Not pleased at all. I will be taking my car to the local Honda dealer from now on and to fix my battery issue and i will be requesting a refund on the battery test charge. (Honda did find my battery as bad and in need of replacement.)

On August 5th, I took my car for regular service in this location. I was there at 9:15am, with online appointment. I told the guy on the front desk, Im in need of this car by evening and I have scheduled work related travel tomorrow. The guy name Travers (may spelled worng) said, car will be by the evening. He called me at the afternoon with some recommendations and I accepted. He stated, I will call you after everything done in a couple of hours. But, he didnt call. I called back at 4:30 pm and he said, almost ready call you soon. He never called, and the store didnt answer my call, since 5pm to 5:45. So i decided to visit there, when I get there, the door was closed. I was shocked. I walked around the store, no one i could see. I was about to returned, I see a guy inside the store. I knocked the door, and asked for my car, he simply apologize, I paid and drove back.Next day, someone from the store called me, and apologized and offered a free oil change coupon for next time. He told me to stop by in the store and see someone name Jay. I said ok, i will stop by sometime in next few weeks.Today, I stopped by the store, and asked Jay, and explained everything. He stated, he doesnt know that and he doesnt have a coupon. They said, come next time and ask for free oil change! This is embarrassing, why did they called me, if there is no reason. Do i repeat the same story to get a free oil change next time? Definitely not!!THEIR ACTS AND LANGUAGES WERE DISAPPOINTING, THEY ACTS LIKE I WAS BEGGING SOMETHING.I was disappointed with their professionalism, I have been a customer since 2010. Now, I may be not. These new people or may be new management--- is not nice.

This shop used to take care of their customers when it was a smaller operation. I ordered tires online and confirmed the sizes as requested on a Thursday. Friday, I call the store to confirm that the tires were available for my service on Saturday morning. I arrive to my appointment, and the tires were not delivered. I came back later that day, as requested, for service. The tires were the wrong size. The associates told me to come back on Monday due to the delivery schedule. I came back Monday after work at 1630, my appointment time, and the associates informed me that the tires cannot be serviced due to a down service bay. They told me to come back Tuesday morning, which I did. It took 3 hours to get tires and an oil change. Not once did this company ever consider to call or update me prior to me wasting my time. In addition, they tried to charge me for a TPMS sensor kit. My vehicle does not have a TPMS sensor, because it is a basic option vehicle. I highly recommend going to another shop if you value your time, as they do not care for your business or time. They do not care about their customers any more, considering that they tried to charge (Scam is a better term) me for services that do not apply to my vehicle.

My experience was like a Indianapolis 500 Speedway Tire repair and Change!. Thursday 4 pm, I in my car face-to-face ZOOM meeting and experienced a flat tire near Centreville Va. Tire & Auto location. John Miller, Manager is Incredible, Fantastic idea and Brilliant Manager.... John Miller says... stay in your car and continue with your ZOOM, meeting, we will take care of everything, safely ! ... I stayed in drivers seat and continued my business meeting in my car!Meanwhile, Technician Mr. Anthony Potts guides me into position, evaluates the tire problem, quickly lifted my car on Car Rack, pulled wheel, repaired tire, reassembled balanced wheel and placed back onto my car. The entire 30 minutes I sat in my car and finished my ZOOM business meeting !! I explained to my colleagues on the ZOOM meeting what was going on....they are now all bringing their automobiles for service to Virginia Tire & Auto.More to story...since I purchase my tires from Virginia Tire & Auto on the store credit card...NO Charge for this costly service !!This was like a scene in a movie Mission Impossible !

Service wasnt great at all. Front desk wasnt friendly and minus one person, there was no sense of urgency to help customers get in out with their services. Went in for an inspection and the tech didnt take the time to lift the center arm support to look for the seatbelt. Instead failed me on it. Was told they dont move anything but they were more than willing to the move the cup holder that was placed inbtw the seats and didnt bother to put it back. Not worth coming here for the convience of it being down the street. So is everything else a legit call out?🤷

The appointments on their website is very misleading. Making an appointment for 2pm is exactly the same as walking in at 2pm. 2 hours after my appointment time they still hadnt taken the car back because there were cars in front of me. Went there to have my tpms system checked/ replaced as the light had been on for quite some time. Front desk was courteous and professional, no compliants there. Explained i just wanted the sensors checked. The mechanic looked at my car and i was told that i had pick up a nail and it couldnt be repaired, thats fine, i asked if they had also checked the sensors and was told yes.They said the sensor was fine but the tire was the issue. I let them replace a tire and paid $168. The front desk guy specifically asked the mechanic if he had checked the sensors and he adamantly said theres nothing wrong with them. I leave and in less than 30 minutes later the tpms light comes on. I come back and when i explained the situation a service manager comes out and checks the sensors in less than 5 minute says the back rear was broken. Proceeded to tell me they can fix it but would have to pay another $160 bucks. I left very frustrated bc i only came for the sensors and the only reason i purchased the tire was bc they said that would fix the problem.

John Miller who I have dealt with since 1993, said no worries car is on lift for tires do the inspection and I was done in one hour. Ive been going here for years. Always great customer service. Went by the other day because my check tire pressure light came on again. I filled my tire 2 weeks ago. They found a little screw that was slowly leaking air. And it only took 20minutes and they did it for no charge. Great business!

About three years ago, I took my Jaguar to this location to repair a flat tire. The gentleman in the front told me the tire had four punctures, and according to Virginia law, it couldn’t be repaired. I doubted the four punctures statements, because the tire was taking about a week and half to deflate. The gentleman then started pitching specials to make me buy a new tire, but I told him I was going to take it to the dealership instead. I took it to the Jaguar dealership in Tyson’s Corner, and they told me it was only one puncture due to a small nail. They charged me $6.00 for the patch. Fast forward to today: I noticed a flat tire coming out of the supermarket. I took my car to this same location, and they told me the tire couldn’t be repaired, because it was too close to the shoulder. They told me replacement was my only option. I Explained to Steve (the gentleman in front) what has happened to me in the past in this location, and that I rather take it somewhere else. I went right behind this location to the coalition auto repair place, and they repaired for $20. This location is just full of thieves and dishonest characters.

This location used to be my go to service shop for the family cars, and the team has been always helpful and respectful. But unfortunately that is about to change.2 days ago I got a call from one of the service managers telling me my car failed inspection. The lower control arms needed to be replaced. When I asked how much it will cost, I was told it will be $1,800 and some change. I asked if I can bring my own parts and they said I can but my labor cost will be around $1,600 to replace both sides and they won’t cover warranty. I was skeptical at first for high labor rate and called a parts shop to see how much is it for get lower arms. I was told it will cost me $240 ONLY ( for the parts ). I asked them to start working on it and buy the parts them self for the sake of time and warranty. I needed the car fixed for traveling purposes.I went today to get the car and found out they didn’t do the wheel alignment after I took the car and drove it. I returned back and the service manager said that I told them not to do when we talked on the phone to save money, and that was not true. Why would I be ok paying $1,800+ to get the car fixed and tell them not to do the alignment which is an important part of the job and it might ruin my new tires !!Let’s pretend I said that which I am 100% sure I didn’t ), why didn’t they recommend not to skip the alignment to avoid ruining the tires !!Now I have to send the car back again and expected to pay again for wheel alignment and labor.Not happy with the experience and it will be my last time doing mechanical repairs over their.It’s definitely not about the money, it’s the experience!

There was no formal way to social distance inside the office there were no identifications of what 6 feet apart was. I simply had my tire plugged and they didnt drive the car back and forth enough to even turn the sensors off watching me to get in the car and assume that it wasnt fixed upon pickup. Better management needed.

I never experienced such a bad customer service in my entire life (54 years). I dropped off my car on a Wednesday with a small leak on a tire. Never heard anything for 6 days. I called 3 times and didnt have a reply back. On the 6th day someone called me apologetically 4 minutes before their closing time telling me that my car was ready. I went to pick up my car the next morning and the desk clerk was rude and never even apologized for what happened. I rarely leave reviews but thought this deserved to be done. I tried the place and will never go back there.

My bad experience was, I asked if I could replace my passenger side mirror. I ordered the mirror from the manufacturer and VA tire and auto wanted to charge me 800$. They said they wouldnt use the mirror and they would only order their own part. 800$ to install a mirror. The mechanic right behind them did it for free and now I go to them every single time I need something. I pass by VA tire and auto with a smile on my face knowing Im not getting ripped off. :)

I came here for a state inspection and ended up returning a few days later for an oil change and tire rotation because I loved the service! The reception guys were very professional and helpful. They had the work done faster than any other car repair facility Ive dealt with and this location is down the road from Bikram Hot Yoga so I drop my car off, do some yoga, then pick it up! They did a very nice job installing the tires. I was surprised at how quickly they got my car in to install 4 new tires. I have gone back for the rotation and balance I paid for but they were too busy. Its a little frustrating to make the sale so easy but follow-up service difficult to get. Im giving it a 4 because the initial work was excellent. If rating on the follow-up alone, the score would be lower.

Just moved from New England, had a free oil change in a new movers packet. Was told Id need to replace the air filter and wiper blades, refused at shop as their both simple and much less expensive to acquire. Made appointment for next week for 4 tires. Wiper blade was fully torn off on right side and run extensively resulting in major scratch, nothing mentioned, I never turned wipers on as its a clear day. No response. Avoid.

I get it, theyre an auto repair facility. I know they need to make money, and pay their employees. I used to send people here regularly, because theyve taken care of me and my wife quite well in the past, but the quality of service has gone down and the prices have gone up and the balance just isnt there anymore. I just left this location from having a bit of an emergency. I ran over angle iron and my tire was completely flat in a matter of seconds. I was close to this location although I frequent the Bristow location. I pulled in knowing they would not have my tire. They offered me a ride home but I explained that was not necessary I just needed an extension to lower my spare. They allowed me to pull up next to the tire guy and begin my repair. Matt the tire specialist was awesome allowed me to borrow anything I needed and the desk called to make sure a replacement tire was available at their location near my house. They didnt ask for any money and were super helpful!On the business side I know they are slightly more expensive than some of the competitors however I feel the extra is well worth it. I have had to warranty multiple tires with them and they honor it without question. I live in a new construction neighborhood and the amount of nails I have gotten over the last 2 years is laughable. So to sum it up, I feel that paying the extra for the service is well worth it. Paying top dollar for a quality service is much more easily forgotten than wasting money on cheap service. Keep up the good work!

I’ve had a few things done here mostly because it was close to my house. Each time I’ve been here I’ve been very disappointed. They put the wrong size tire on my car. I’ve also gotten my brakes done here and as soon as I drive it off the lot they’re still squeaky and I could tell something was off. Less than a year later the back brake and rotors were shot. I don’t drive a lot and see no reason why this could’ve happened besides terrible quality work. Don’t go here for any work really lousy and sloppy work done here. Will not go back.

Got a tire pressure warning while driving for a business trip, pulled over hoping to just pump up the tire and get back on the road. Well my metal valve stem caps on my tire were rusted on so tight I couldnt take them off to fill up the tire. Luckily I was parked right next door to this place! They were able to get the metal caps off, checked all four of my tires for their correct pressure, replaced two of my valve stems, and switched out all of my caps with safer plastic for $40 bucks in about less than an hour. Chris at the front desk and the team working on my car were great and quick! Thank you for making sure the rest of my business trip drive was safe.

Please be sure to ask about any fees associated with whatever service you are having... in my case in was tire replacement. Ive been coming here for YEARS.... many vehicles (my whole family). I understand business and the need to be creative generating new ways to create additional revenue for the business.... however, I was charged $20 for LOWMOUNT.. mounting my tires low?? really.... just increase your prices so we can shop and compare instead of creating rubbish... My car is standard from the factory, no low mount unless it was manufactured that way.... ridiculous.

I received a quote online within 5 minutes and confirmed my scheduled appointment within 24 hours. The staff was very professional and friendly. I was given a 2 hour window to replace tires and get my state inspection, but they completed everything within an hour and 15 minutes. They also gave me a heads up on my rear brake pads needing replacement, but didnt come across pushy or demanding while explaining this to me. There werent any surprises or hidden fees. Their pricing and warranty was competitive to Costco and they were much lower than other local auto shops. It was my first time today, but I plan to be back for any of my future car needs.

Quick read - This business model is what you dream of when looking for a company to provide a serviceWe had a rough experience with another business when trying to get our state inspection done, centered around them trying to squeeze more money out of us. So we took it instead to Virginia Tire and Auto and it was an amazing experience. You walk into the waiting area that is clean and feels like it was actually built to be comfortable and not just a dumping spot for customers.Their staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly. Ill recommend him again as working with Chris was a great experience and I hope that his managers recognize him as the employee they strive for by giving him a raise.You will be in good hands with these guys and I feel they have become my go-to car guys for certain services.

Ive had good and bad experiences here. Usually pretty nice staff who get small things done, but when I took my car in for a noise, I was directed to a transmission specialist in Vienna because they were uncomfortable working ctv transmissions.. It was my alternator not the transmission.

Worst customer service ever, I was standing inline behind one customer for like 15mins with atlease 3 or 4 employees just standing around, when the customer infront of me was finally squared away everyone all of a sudden had something to do cause every single employee walked away, leaving me alone in the office just waiting until I finally just walked out, dont waste your time and money with this place, valvoline had my oil change and tire rotation done in less the 20 mins

I was looking to get new tires mounted and balanced on new aftermarket wheels. I was told they can mount them but company policy is only factory wheels on cars, so they could not install them. I was plannig on getting an alignment as well, but my business will be taken elsewhere.

Lied to me about my AC compressor being damaged and charged me $1300 to fix it after doing an AC checkup for $150.After the check Bobby called me and said we got the compressor working and had to fill up the freon. Said he wasnt going to check for a leak and asked me if I saw any evidence of one like spotting in my driveway. I said I did not so he suggested replacing the compressor since it was acting funny but hold off and see of what he did now works. I left had AC for a few days and then nothing. I went back to had the recommended new compressor installed and paid $1300 more. This itself is robbery upon looking up the price of a compressor and labor involved for my car at most it should be $900. Well I had AC for one day and again nothing. Called Bobby back and he started that he would now look for a leak and would not charge me for it since I already paid for it but didnt receive that service the first time. Turns out there was a leak so I said why did you not fox the leak instead of recommending a new compressor, its because you didnt even check for a leak in the first place. Then another technician proceeds to add a note to my account stating they did look for a leak and did not find one. He said that it was during install of the new compressor that they pinched a line, keep in mind you dont pinch or crimp anything when installing a compressor. So whichever it is either A) They are liars and got me to replace parts I didnt need and over charge me for it. Or B) They are incompetent and damaged the lines in my car when installing the compressor. I am going with liars though since I spoke with Bobby on two occasions where he said they did not check for a leak.

I came into their shop with some very complicated issues. After I spent some time explaining them all the mechanic suggested I go to the dealership. At first thought that may seem rude but Im glad he told me honestly that at this location they may have trouble diagnosing all of my cars problems. He even offered to type up the notes he had written down about my car problems so I could give them to the dealers mechanic. He was very nice and understanding when we came in.

So far, they have always been spot on. As a non car person the staff talk to me with respect and patience. They always answer any and all question and have never been pushy in trying to upsell me or get me to buy services that I dont need. They take the time to explain issues and concerns that I would expect a customer service industry to take. They also take the time to make sure that I understand what the problem is with my car.

This place does the hard sell, and they are trying to take your money, not do whats best for you.I had a new tire (not bought here though) that was losing air since I got it, and got to the point that I was putting air every day. I called ahead and they said theyd inspect it for free. I brought the tire in, told the rep my problem, and though I just wanted it inspected to verify a likely defective tire he tried to get me to sign something where theyd fix it (which Id have to pay for) if they found a problem. I declined and told him again that I just wanted the inspection because it was likely a defective tire, not to mention that plenty of places will perform that service for free. We then took it back, they filled it , and we found that the tear was on the inside tire wall. The rep there then told me thats road hazard damage. That seemed odd (though admittedly not impossible) to me as I never have seen or heard of punctures in the sidewall vs the tread, and I told him that. Then he tried to tell me that he sees as many road hazard punctures on the sidewall as on the tread!!!!! I asked him again, and he repeated that same answer. I understand my experience is not everything, but theres less than a 1% chance that that wasnt a full-on lie.

This is a nice clean facility but their customer service is terrible.When I called the sales person told me that he only has 2 cars ahead of me. After I arrived and him taking all my info and pulling my car to the garage he told me it will be 1hr to 1 1/2 hrs. I said I was told 30 minutes max. He said he didnt know he had so much backlog. I hesitated and said I will wait. Then I told him I have my own oil and filter in the trunk which he said is fine. I asked him to check the tire air pressure because the indicator was on to which he said it is all part of the routine check list. So I said OK and sat in the waiting area. After waiting for about 70 minutes or so all customers who came after me were all set and left the facility. So I was curious and asked how much more time they will keep me waiting. At this point I can see my car parked not in the designated parking area but in the midle of the driveway as if to exit the facility. The salesman said he doesnt have the ticket for it and went to the back. He came back out and went outside to the car. Then he came back again and looked in a pile of tickets and pulled out mine. He told me I missed my call because I stepped out of the facility...which was not true. Long story short...I paid and got out of that place.Guess what...they didnt use my oil and filter as I instructed. The tire pressure light was still on. The vehicle conditions report has everything marked as pass.Whoever owns this place should re-evaluate this customer service issue. Not good to see their 40 years of good service which they claim and posted everywhere in the store go down the drain due to silly things like this.Have no intention of ever going back to this place again.

I highly recommend this place! I personally spoke to Leander & Gustova who were very honest with me about what was wrong with my car. They did not try to make me get something for my car that I didnt need simply just for the money. Very great customer service and very nice people!

I have given up on VA Tire and Auto in Centreville. Let me preface by saying I have the longest fuse on Earth, and I have been to this location many times. The store front staff is vindicated, because they were polite and professional, as they always are. I walked in today around 1:00 pm for a routine oil change and annual safety inspection. I was told the wait would be about an hour, to and hour and a half. Fine. Once the three and a half hour mark hit, I started to lose some patience. When I asked for a status on my vehicle, the staff member walked in the back and came out with my keys and paperwork about a minute later. This led me to believe it had been ready for some time, and who knows how long. Turns out I had a few issues, and did not pass inspection. Okay. When I asked for a quote, I was told it would be another half hour wait. Forty minutes go by, and I was eventually recommended to leave and to expect a phone call. Upon leaving, not only was my vehicle not out front, but it was parked in the fenced-in lot behind the building. It was never vacuumed. And lastly, it is nearly 8:00pm, and I havent received a phone call. Im disappointed to say I will never go back to this location, and I hope this saves someone their time and trouble.

I am very disappointed with the service they provided and the way they handled the situation. I stopped by the Centreville store with low tire pressure today at 9:20am. They got the car and promised the car will be ready in maximum 1-1.5 hours. I asked several times to confirm that they were going to inspect AND patch the hole within maximum 1-1.5 hours. I even mentioned that I really needed the car by 11am (which makes 1hr 40 minutes), as I needed to pick up my daughter from school), and they confirmed it. Around 10:40 (which makes 1 hour and 20 minutes), I approached to the front desk to check the status of my car, just to hear that my car still was in the line waiting for its turn?? When I reminded them about their 1-1.5 hours confirmation, they said, oh no, thats not what they meant. Apparently, they meant that 1-1.5 hours was for only inspection (or more precisely, that was probably their wait time, as the car was still outside and not served. The local JFLube would have done the whole thing in 30-40 minutes). The costumer service was RUDE, unapologetic, unprofessional. They did not apologize, did not offer any solution and did not even try to fix the situation. They just threw me the keys and asked to leave if I wasnt willing to wait. And when I asked to talk to the manager, they said the manager was inspecting a car (?), so he wont be available for another 30-40 minutes?? I will be taking my business to somewhere else and will file an official complain with BBB and other organizations for personal insult, ignorance and terrible service they provide in this store.

Service is fast and professional.They will point out other repairs or issues, but I have never felt any pressure from their staff to pursue them.Also, wanted to give some props to the shuttle drivers at the Centreville branch. They have all been very professional and very friendly.

BUYER BEWARE!Had a flat on 2016 Subaru Outback. VA T&A informed us that tire could not be fixed, but that they could have an exact replacement available that same day.Said no thanks and took flat to Subaru dealer.1. You cannot replace a single tire on AWD Subaru unless you have the proper equipment to wear the new tire to the same level as the remaining tires.2. Subaru dealer happily plugged tire and away we went.Had I not been an informed consumer, VA T&A would have:1. Sold us a tire we didnt need2. Voided the drive-train warranty on my 2016 Subaru Outback.All for a tire sale.Thanks, but NO THANKS.Will not be doing business here any longer.

I had a popped tire and a flat spare. I only needed a new tire. I dropped my car off at 2:30pm. I was given a two hour estimate. I gave them time, because there were a few cars ahead of me. I waited to be contacted. Nothing. I called at 6:30pm. Surely, if I figured out how to change a tire in 90 minutes, a professional would do it with no problem. The receptionist asked me if I wanted to buy a new tire. ..... Um, duh? You cant patch a torn tire. He said it would take an hour. So 7:30pm. Still nothing. At 8:30 I had friends drop me off as my sister got off the phone with the receptionist. Finally I got my car. In the time it took, I should have bought and changed it with my newfound skill. Oh, and they misspelled my address, mistyped my phone number, and didnt bother to email me (which was correct). Avoid this place.

I went to VT&A to get 2 new tires, my car inspected/emissions and a tire rotation. I came BACK to VT&A because in 2011 I got 2 tires from them and received excellent service. I got excellence again this year! I would recommend VT&A to anyone looking for good service (with a smile!)

Was in line behind a little old lady who needed an inspection and oil change on her Accord. Service writer asked her what kind of oil she wanted. She said she didnt know and asked him what it requires. He told her it requires synthetic. Pretty sure there arent any Accords that require synthetic. I wont be back and sure wouldnt send my wife here.

Brought pick up truck in for repair. Waited about 10 days for parts from dealer. Things happen and no problem with the repair. Decided to take advantage of the trip to VA Tire to pick up my repaired truck and leave my car for a repair for a screw embedded in the tire, I get a call at home from S** to tell me my tire is repaired. I have my wife drive me to the shop. At the counter I get a Who called you? S** called me. Well we have some new guys and your tire is not fixed it needs to be replaced. It goes without saying I picked up my car and left. I give them 2 stars. Maybe my guy had a bad day. But if I had called someone and told them there tire was repaired and it wasnt Id say sorry.Not, guess what you need a new tire.
