For those of you that want a short recommendation from a third - party reviewer, I recommend Longs for your HVAC needs!If you want more information read below.During the hottest period of our summer, our 12–15-year electric Heat Pump died. This job was self-limiting in size as a retrofit.Know all businesses were faced with worldwide supply chain issues, I reached out to 5 different HVAC businesses for bids. Having a electric Heat Pump and historically high heating bills, we decided to remove the aging Heat Pump and replace it with an Air Conditioner and natural gas Furnace. Each company pushed their brand, but most did not have many options that I was looking for due to manufacturing issues (entry level versus cost savings over time). Some indicated that they could not change the electric system to gas, and others jumped at the chance of our business as long as we were willing to wait... I researched what brands to stay away from and quickly found that Daiken had one of the industry best warranties. This was one of the selling points, as well as Longs having in stock the model we wanted.Mike was the Technician that came out on Friday and diagnosed our issue and began building our trust with Longs. Mike answered our questions and spent all the time we needed to figure out how to move forward. We could have repaired the multispeed fan, but because of the units age, we decided to upgrade and replace the entire unit. Chris called us the following week to schedule a meeting with us and came out on Tuesday. Chris was professional and had great customer service skills, again, building trust.We had had horrible experiences with previous contractors (kitchen remodel and landscaping) so trust was really something that Longs would need to earn. Tim & Eric did the installation, being Covid conscious, professional, and willing to answer my numerous questions during the installation. Having had some building experience, I was that home owner that observed everything :) The Forman Josh, popped in from time to time to ensure quality and at the end of the job to be sure all of our needs were met. Multiple staff were onsite to assist with the Air Conditioner placement, and last be not least, Jordan from ZZ Electric was professional and willing to talk through what he was doing and why.I would recommend ZZ Electric for your electrical needs.Longs had limited stock on hand, but due to a cancelation, we upgraded to what we originally wanted and Chris scheduled us within a week. Chad Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald Plumbing) did the gas installation (pipe) and was as professional and timely as Longs. His quote was reasonable, and when he was done, came in lower than his original bid. I would recommend him for all gas plumbing in the future.Attached are pictures of the retrofit job. I did not include pictures of the Air Conditioner that was placed on the roof (same location as previous Heat Pump). The job included a new platform for the roof Air Conditioner, relocating the cold air return, new Air Conditioner & Air Exchanger new Gas Furnace, new Thermostat, change of electrics on the roof and in the house, new gas line and testing, cleaning and reusing the Freon lines, new Freon, fire up and instructions for use. Josh checked in several days after the job completion to ensure all was running fine :). We finally could cool down!If you are looking for a company that does what they say, a company you can trust, are looking for a reasonable/valued purchase, and a great 12-year warranty, go with Longs. I felt the quality oversight was good and all issues were discussed with me, and my input was always part of decision making. I will recommend Longs moving forward.

I would definitely recommend this company!! They were not only professional, but reasonable, informative, kind and courteous from the estimate to the installation of our system. Thank you to Shane and Josh for the excellent install which included climbing our stairs numerous times in the heat and an encounter with an angry wasp (Josh still kept his smile and got the job done.) I would recommend Longs any time!! From the initial phone call, to the actual repair of our blower motor in the HVAC system, it was a pleasure. Our technician, Mike, was incredibly professional and easy to get along with. He made quick work of the repair, and made sure to answer any of the silly little questions that I had throughout the process. If I could give Longs over 5 stars I would!

From the Estimator through the Installers, it was obvious I was working with knowledgeable, caring professionals. The discussion of equipment options was informative and sensitive to my cost concerns. The workmanship on the installation was excellent. Conversations with all the Long’s employees I encountered indicate they are a well-trained, well supported and cohesive team. I feel very confident in my equipment purchase and its future support.

The team from Longs arrived on time and were friendly and considerate throughout their time in my home. My house is a bit funky in its design and when it was clear that there were difficulties figuring out a solution for the piping of my ductless system that would look good on the exterior of my home, they called in additional technicians. They soon found an optimal solution that was elegant and clean. I appreciated that they werent willing to do what was easiest and fastest and instead put my satisfaction at the top of the list. They clearly know what they are doing and their warranty is incredible!

Chris has been exceptionally professional, responsive, and available whenever needed. He is knowledgeable and was able to replace and upgrade our heating system and add a new AC unit. There were major problem in this house as the previous ducts fell out of the ceiling. They had to clean out all the old ducts, before installing new ducts. The quality of work was superior, always on time, and they were able to handle any requests we had. I can recommend Longs without any reservation and have complete confidence in their work. We used Longs heating and air to replace all of our ducting under the house and install new vents. On the day the work was to be preformed, Nick K., Chris H. and Mosheyla arrived on time and ready to work. This crew was polite, and all 3 were solid workers. They kept the area clean and worked until the job was done. After everything was installed they made sure the area was as clean if not cleaner than when they started. I would highly recommend Longs heating and air for any heating and air conditioning work and I highly recommend this crew.

Called Friday morning, in the middle of our annual heatwave, and they were able to fit me in Friday afternoon. Repairman was excellent, had it up and running in 30 minutes. Pricing was provided upfront.Longs installed the entire system in 2009 and I was very happy with the service then as well.

They have replaced my heater motor (very quick and very reasonable) and they also have been doing Heating and A/C maintenance on my OLD system for a few years now. I highly recommend them because they are honest, and reliable. Mike is the latest repair man/maintenance man who came to the house today. He checked out everything and told me that while my system is older, its still working well, and not in need of replacement, yet. I appreciated that. The company will send out someone in the Fall to check the heater to be sure its in good shape for winter.

Longs Heating installed a new gas furnace and A/C unit in my 20 year old home. They did a professional, top rate job from start to finish. The person doing the bid thoroughly explained the options and choices. The bid was was less than 2 other bids and included better equipment. The installers were friendly, competent and completed the entire job in less than a day. Overall I am pleased with the installation and would highly recommend Longs Heating.

During the summer heat and poor air quality (due to smoke from wildfires), Long’s Heating and AC came out the next business day to assess our AC unit. Shortly after our services person left, we received a call that the part needing to be replaced was in stock. The service person returned the same day and repaired our system. Other companies were backed up 2-3 weeks out. Everyone at Long’s Heating & AC were very professional and quick to initiate and respond to phone calls. 5 stars all around!

We rent and it seems almost every year someones AC in our 4plex goes out. Even when super booked up Longs has always made it out in a timely manner to quickly fix the AC unit and get things back to normal! When we buy a place we will definitely be using Longs for any future needs.

So The 19 year old AC in the house Im renting was finally starting to die. And the landlord called these guys. The installation of the new HVAC system went well, other than them showing up at the wrong house at 5:00AM. They were nice and seem to have done good work. Total cost for my landlord was over $7000.00However the problems with their service started after the install. The thermostat they installed, a Honeywell T6 Pro, proved to be an overly complicated and hard to read and operate for the older members of my family, even my younger eyes have to stop and look at the thing for several seconds to see its status compared to the dead simple Honeywell 5000 Pro we had previously.So after playing phone tag for a few weeks trying to get them to install the Honeywell 5000 Pro we wanted they sent Michael to tweak the T6 and try and make us happy with their decision. All Michael did was disable the programming. After prodding them more, saying we still werent happy with the thermostat they sent Josh Jones, who flat out refused to install another thermostat unless it came from his supplier, who was charging him at least twice the MSRP of the thermostats he uses which cost them $200.00. So, if we wanted a cheaper and simpler 5000 Pro he said it would cost more than their thermostat plus a service call for $69.For what was paid, the service from Long’s has been nothing but total disappointment and frustration.

2 crews showed up! One removed and replaced our furnace while the other cleaned with a HEPA filter and sanitized the entire ducting system! These guys were very knowledgeable. Helped my mom understand how to use the thermostat. Will definitely be recommending these guys👍🏼

Nick was awesome - super fast, on time - called to let me know he was on his way - explained what was wrong and fixed it fast. Longs replaced our HVAC system (the old one was 28 years old and they serviced it for us) on one of the hottest days of the year. We now have a new Daikin system with a programmable thermostat. Weve been happy customers for more than 20 years now. 😘

Called to schedule duct repair and cleaning, was the worse customer experience I have ever had. They didnt want my business and pushed me to call someone else.Called another company and had a pleasant conversation and made an appointment.With their current reviews so good I assume their work is good, however customer service was useless.

Had a team show up at 6am ready to remove old and install new HVAC system. Josh T, Job, Shane and Masheyla were outstanding! Professional, courteous and worked with a sense of pride and urgency. Was told they would be wrapped up about 2pm and they completed install, ducting inspection and cleanup by 11:30am! Super friendly and knowledgeable crew. Giving 1 star due to the fact that the technician could not find where the coolant was leaking from in our 6 year old system but decided that our only choice was a brand new, $7000 system anyway. We got a second opinion, and the second technician was able to find the leak within minutes. He was also able to find a replacement part and the total bill was less than $800.The technician from Longs showed up on time and was polite, but he was more of a salesman than a repairman. We wont be using them again.

Weve trusted Longs for several years doing my Mothers spring and fall maintenance, theyve always been fair and reliable. The last maintenence on the heater revealed a hole in the heat exchanger for Mothers unit. Mike the technician shut the unit down for our safety and gave us our options. We purchased both the furnace and an a/c from them which was installed in a couple of days. The cost was very reasonable and the installers were considerate and professional.Mike even brought over some portable heaters to use while the unit was down.We are more than satisfied in every way.

The fan on my HVAC sounded terrible and the unit couldnt keep up on hot days. I called Longs and the owner. Chris, came out in short order. He saw the return system was way too small for the unit. He was booked up yet still sent out another Chris, and Nickolas. They showed up on time polite and profesional going right to work. They increased the intake opening and installed a larger return duct. Left everything clean and looking like it was always meant to be there. Now my system is so quiet and really cools it down. Longs HVAC installed a Daikin ductless system in our home and we couldnt be happier with the interactions we experienced at every level. They started with Amanda in the office, who was always efficient, friendly and polite. Then Mike one of the service techs, who was punctual, extremely knowledgeable and super kind in bringing us a loaner portable A/C unit to keep us comfortable during the extremely high temps. Then Chris one of the salesmen, who was patient in answering tons of questions, friendly and a great source of information. Then lastly Tim and Eric, one of the installation teams. These two were punctual, super respectful of our property and space, they worked amazingly in tandem while keeping their workspaces picked up as they worked. They also answered all questions that arose, explaining things on a laymans level. They both went the extra mile to ensure the installation was done in a manner that was professional in both function and appearance. They were friendly with us, and even worked around our two dogs who were frequently underfoot. After the installation was complete they patiently explained the system and how it worked, and again, answered every question we threw at them. We ended up with a system with the best warranty program Ive ever seen. The difference in professionalism and quality of work that we experienced while working with Longs as compared to the company that had done our previous system was night and day. I found it interesting that during this whole process, from beginning to end, in interacting with five different employees, I heard a repeating theme - the owner believes in and gives back to this community and treats not only his customers, but his employees as well with respect, kindness and generosity. Have had numerous companies over to look at the blower fan in the furnace, and still experiencing an intermittent smell. Longs was able to pull the blower fan completely out of the ceiling of the garage, and show me that it has been well maintained. Checked all of my intake vents in the house, and suggested that I switch to higher end charcoal filters. Checked the thermostat and assessed that system is working as it should. The technician reassured me that it is not my imagination that there can be smells from time to time, and that if the system were to have a problem, it would shut off automatically (such as overheating or fire).I would highly recommend Longs. The technician arrived within a half an hour of my phone call to their company!!! Highly impressed with their efficiency, diagnostic abilities, pricing, and customer service.

So we held off on a review until we saw how well our new AC and furnace actually performed. We have significantly reduced our electric bill in the summer and our house is far more comfortable than with the previous, builder grade AC. In addition, our gas bill has been significantly reduced in the winter with our new furnace. Longs replaced both units right away (important since our furnace decided to quit working in the middle of winter) and charged a fair price for quality upgrades that have saved us money by working as well or better than the previous HVAC appliances while significantly reducing electric and gas consumption. We definitely recommend!

Absolutely terrible HVAC company. If you do not have a system that was installed by Longs, do not have them come out for maintenance. They will tell you that your system is either old, poor quality, or not large enough for your home, and they will try to sell you on of theirs.The owner is a straight up liar, and shady guy.In response to the owners response. I wrote this off 2 years ago as maybe an inexperienced tech, or just maybe someone overlooked something. Over the past two years I have seen eerily similar situations and complaints. Yesterday one of my good friends had their AC unit go down, and guess who they called? Longs! And guess what their solution was? Oh, replace your relatively new system with one of ours. Surprise surprise!You’re business practices are extremely questionable. Especially in my situation, where I had a newborn in a house in the middle of summer with temps inside approaching 90 degrees. You guys were not able to find the problem, and your only solution was for me to purchase a brand new system through longs. Your tech also told my my “motherboard” was fried, and tried to tell me I needed a new one. That was also completely false, and was confirmed false by Metal Masters.Taking advantage of vulnerable and desperate people is not ok. You hide me behind your community outreach and free filter giveaways, but your technicians are nothing more than salespeople who will do anything to sell a new HVAC system through longs heating and air.After my experience with you, I called Metal Masters. They actually found the problem, and replaced a $50 part free of charge because they were so appalled at how Longs treated my family, and robbed us of over $800 dollars in total. My system has been working completely fine since I had metal masters do my maintenance and repairs. So you guys are either dishonest, or incompetent.I just really hope that other families see this, and decide to use a different company for their HVAC needs.

When I needed help off hours, Longs not only consulted over the phone (Jason) but determined an on site visit was in order. After careful evaluation and thorough explanation, he solved the problem. A new heating unit was required so a couple of days later installers (Josh & Job) arrived and spent a very long day making sure I had heat once again. They went through everything I needed to know and left my property cleaner than when they arrived. I also had them check ducts below my house and they quickly arrived at the issue and provided info for a fix. I would highly recommend this company. Much more I could say about how good the service was.

Longs installed our HVAC system about 4 years ago and recently there was an issue with the refrigeration. Longs sent someone out right away to check the system. The technician, Michael, did an amazing job of tracking down the problem and took care of the repair. Michael is an expert at what he does, and he was very knowledgeable, not to mention friendly and positive about his work. We have recommended Longs to family and friends and will continue to do so.

Mike Langleys expertise of heat pumps, air handlers and thermostats made his visit quick yet very thorough. His attitude and energy make it clear he loves his job. This year Ive had the team at Longs replace a heat pump capacitor, replaced a circuit board and verified/tested 2 thermostats on several rental properties. Previously, replaced a cracked compressor (well after 5PM, to accommodate my schedule). They guarantee their work too! Mike and the other technicians have all been personable and professional. They are my first and only call when I need help. I highly recommend them for youre HVAC needs!

Our church’s heating/ air unit wasn’t working. After examination compressor was burnt out. We have decided to convert to gas and have accepted Longs bid to replace. They gave a realistic bid and moving forward with Avista to get it done in several weeks .Longs always came on time, and acted promptlyReturned the bid. The best is yet to come!

These guys are great. They arrive when they say they will, do the work and charge fairly for their services. They make reasonable recommendations if needed and dont try to sell what I dont need. I now use Longs for both my home and my rental.

Josh Taylor and Job worked until 7:00pm installing my heating and cooling systems and did an excellent job. They were professional, patient and kept an eye for detail even after 11 strait hours on the project. I have had this company install 6 heating systems over the years and they have always communicated well and done excellent work. Warranties are very good and they are responsive to any questions. Shane and Jobe worked on a full system replacement as our dog had corroded our old unit (urine). Not only were both of them very professional and friendly, but they also showed me what they were doing and let me ask a million questions. The unit they selected is very powerful in comparison to the unit it replaced and extremely quiet as well. They took the time to explain the dos and donts on maintaining the unit as well as what types of filters to use (apparently anti-allergen filters can be rough on HVAC systems, good to know! Ill be doing HEPA floor units instead).Overall very happy with the results, and we have AC again for the first time in years! Strongly recommend their services.

Their crew came out and took out the old inefficient heater and put in a heater and air conditioner. then some years later I asked it they would put the whole machinery in the attic their crew came right out and did that as well. all in reasonable times and reasonable very costs.

A tech by the name of Jason serviced my heating system for the Winter ahead. Due to Covid he wore his mask at all times, was very professional and answered all questions I had about my heating system. Our furnace stopped working early in the morning. Longs was one of the only companies that could get a technician to us same day and they had the best price. Mike showed up toward the early part of the time window they gave and called us 15 minutes before to let us know he was on the way. He had the problem diagnosed within 5 minutes and once we gave the go ahead, he had it fixed in less than an hour. He was extremely courteous and spoke with us in depth about what he did to help reduce the chance of repeat issues and what we could expect out of our furnace. We were very happy with our entire experience with Mike.

Five stars is not enough for the super fast response and amazing service we received today. We woke up to our heater not working this morning and when its 32 outside the house is pretty cold. I called Longs Heating and Air Conditioning and spoke with a very nice lady. She was able to get us on the schedule right away. Within less than an hour of my call we had Michael Porelle at our house to fix our heater. Michael was very nice, and quickly resolved the issue with our heater. He answered all of our questions, and was very helpful. He gave us information on getting on a maintenance contract, and we will definitely be signing up for that. He listed off a huge list of professions that they give discounts for as well. While we dont work in those professions it is nice to see a company that offers discounts to so many hardworking folks. We highly recommend Longs Heating and Air Conditioning! Michael Porelle is an awesome service technician and has earned our business for the long term.

The owners are so very AMAZING to give out free HVAC filters to anyone and everyone that needs one. No question asked! You tell them the size and they give you a filter. I have seen this advertised at least three separate times of the year. This is so amazing especially with local stores running out of filters because the smoke is so heavy in our valley.Thank you once again for your kindness!

During a storm our thermostat quit working so we had no a/c, we called Longs the next morning and they came out before noon and went above and beyond to make sure our system was working properly. We have always been very pleased with Longs service!!

I have used Longs Heating and Air on multiple occasions. They have always arrived on the same day as the call, which is good because I was without heat and it was 37 degrees outside. Jason showed up at the begining of the 2 hour window and texted when he was on his way to ensure it was a good time. He was very proffesional and fixed the issue in under an hour. The pricing made me feel like I was taking advantage of THEM it was so cheap. Thank you very much for warming up my house!

Nothing but good things to say, the price was better than expected, I had a whole central heating air system installed. They showed up on time and installed the entire system in 1 day to include all electrical and putting in a new gas line. The whole process was clean to. They didnt even leave behind any dust. Highly recommended company.

We had them out for a quote in March and called for the install (best price out there!) in July and they kept their word! They had us scheduled within a week, WOW! Josh and Job were fantastic! Super friendly while staying professional, excellent representatives for their company. Competent, polite, and willing to come back to make things right. There was a small bit of shoddy work that was immediately fixed when I brought it to their attention.

Chris, Nick and Kobe were all very respectable, responsible and polite. They let me know what they were doing at each step of the process. My wife has bad asthma and our house has been making it worse, I have complete confidence that the duct cleaning they did will mitigate a lot of her issues. Longs quoted me $826.00 for a new control board, called another well-known company and their quote was less than $300 for the same service and it included the diagnostic fee. I was surprised on the cost difference and glad I got a second quote.

The office was sometimes a little hard to get a hold of, but understandable given Covid. Once I was able to connect with them, I received helpful information so I could decide on the best hvac unit. Josh T and Job were professional, efficient, and helpful in their installation.

Last Summer they installed my Daiken heat pump and air handler for an excellent value and everyone involved, from Kristen who set my appointments to Chris 1 (install manager), Josh, Jobe (installers), Chris 2 and Cody (installation and duct cleaning) were courteous and professional. Recently Mike L. came out to make a minor adjustment so my emergency heat runs properly and the same common thread: courteous and professional. Longs sets a pretty high bar. Keep up the great work!
