At that point it took several days to get responses and phone calls needed to be scheduled in order to contact the company directly.Price/Billing - 4 starsThe architect that finished my project was cheaper than DesignLoft, but 5 other companies I had contacted came up with higher bids.Trustworthy/Timeliness - 2 starsWhile original estimates put my project at 1 or 2 months, it was taking quite awhile. After 3 months I gave an ultimatum, at which point I was told the coordinating engineer was out of commission so my project was on hold. Had this been disclosed earlier that would have been understandable. The architect I finished with took less than a month for all phases of the project. DesignLoft spent about an hour per week, I can only assume my project was not a priority.Organization/Presentation - 2 starsMany details were missed in our communications and some of the software design tools were somewhat dated.Reading Google reviews I was hopeful this would be a good fit for me.Where my project was a small addition (apx. 400sqft) it was obviously too small for many architects. While I got a lot of helpful information on the front end, in working the project there were only a couple of ideas from the designer. Problems were presented to me rather than solutions. I am particular so it could be that my project or my communication didnt sync well with this company. We parted ways civilly and DesignLoft shared all created products with me at the time of billing. I wish it had worked out.The following architect completed my project and I would recommend his services without hesitation:Scott Moses Design

Scott at Design Loft was fantastic to work with. He helped with a covered patio for our home and the results were great. He finished the design quickly and at a reasonable price.

My name is Dr. Lew Gardiner and I had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with Graham and Scott Stubbs, partners of Design Loft, Inc. when we designed and built our “dream home”.Unfortunately, the process of finding a competent home designer took several weeks of meeting with other individuals who advertised their ability but then we were met with disappointment when they would not listen to our ideas or would present us with designs that were not custom. Graham and Scott at Design Loft were WONDERFUL to work with on our garage, deck, and kitchen remodel and addition! They were very helpful offering many thoughts and suggestions, while listening to AND TRULY HEARING our wants and needs! Their price seemed quite reasonable and they were willing to make and show any and all changes that we requested. It was nice to have all engineering reviews and issues addressed by Design Loft---something we would have had no idea how to handle! From the first day we walked in until we had completed plans in hand was just over 2 months, BUT we could have had them 3-4 weeks sooner (even with several changes) had we not been traveling and often out of internet/phone contact. Also of significant importance, the bidding builders have commented on how good the blueprints are to use. If we ever need any future home or garage design, we will absolutely return to Design Loft!
