Wow. I asked them to give me an estimate on replacing a couple broken chimney tiles. They came out, looked at the chimney, and wrote me a relatively high estimate for pretty much everything EXCEPT replacing the cracked tiles. I called them back and said I wanted an estimate on replacing the cracked tiles. Several days later they called me back with basically the same answer, which included installing a stainless steel liner. I told them installing a stainless steel liner was not possible due to the way my wood-burning insert fits in the fireplace, and thats why I want the cracked tiles replaced, but no stainless liner. Ive used that insert EVERY WINTER, EXTENSIVELY for 24 years and have had cracked tiles replaced once before about 15 years ago, but that company is no longer in business. The woman on the phone asked if I wanted them to come out a third time. I said I suppose so if theyre interested in my business. She replied that was up to me! I said it sounds like they dont really want my business and thanked her for her time. It must be nice to have so much business that you can just throw away a potential customer like that. The lady on the phone could not have cared less.

They have performed 2 jobs for me now. The first they were low bid of 3 and 1/2 the price of the next bid. Dont normally go with lowest bid but I thought the other bids were high and they have a good reviews on google. The firebox relining was flawless, outstanding job. The second was a call for a new chimney cap. They looked at it and said it was fine, but it needed water proofing. Rained several days later and the waterproofing work! Waterproofing much cheaper than a new cap. I no longer get competing estimates.

The van with the license plate PKL 3149 almost caused a multi car accident because you cut people off to get on 675 then proceeded to weave in and out of traffic once on 675. Really nice representation of the company.

Really glad I ended up going with these guys. They were available same day I called to come out for the estimate. They then tore down, rebuilt my chimney and made the cement crown. They were able to match the brick color of my house as well with the new chimney. Price was competitive and he even brought me onto my roof to show me what needed work beforehand and how it looked when they were finished. A+ work.

Save yourself headache, time, & money! This is by far one of the WORST places I have ever done business with! There’s literally an ENDLESS list of things I could complain about-but I’ll give you the short version up front: their shady, they lie, they have incompetent office staff, & they refuse to process payment on a VALID credit card (even though their website clearly states they accept credit card).They said things were included in the quote & didn’t find out until AFTER they were done with their work & they presented us with the bill that those things weren’t! We were also told we needed certain things replaced in the estimate when once they were done-their OWN WORKERS said we didn’t need to replace them! Their prices are highway robbery- they charge $400 for what another company only charged $175 for (had I know the things they alluded were included in their quote were not actually included-I never would have gone with them). Their office staff is incompetent & incredibly rude, refuses to her job (oh by the way doesn’t work hours clearly stated on their website-makes it kind of hard to try & resolve any issues with people that actually work for a living), & refused to get the manager/owner or give us a number where we could reach him at.

Ive used CPCS four times so far, so I feel completely comfortable with giving them a five-star rating. Chris and his crew have always been punctual and honest. We had a $7,000 bid from another chimney company to replace our misaligned chimney flue. The other company explained what they were going to do, and it involved serious disassembly of the chimney. I called CPCS for a second opinion, telling them nothing about the first bid nor the disassembly plan. Chris looked at the problem, came up with a much better, much quicker, and much less invasive solution, and kept $5500 in my pocket. That was three years ago, and we have enjoyed the fireplace regularly ever since. Highly recommended.
