Friendly service and helpful advice on moving

I rented at the Smoky Hill Location in Aurora Co. I went there the day before to be sure everything was set to pick up the truck at that location at 9:30. I had movers scheduled to load the truck. I had someone scheduled to drive the truck. I had a flight to catch. I was told hopefully it will be there. I said it needed to be there at that time. Later in the day I got a call asking if I could pick it up at a later time at a different location. I said no and explained the situation. Then got another call asking again if I could change the pick up. Again I said no. The next day I get a call telling me they could not get it to my location on time. I had to pick it up later at a further location. I felt all along they did not plan to fill the reservation as planned. It was extremely frustrating .

Ordered 3 dozen blankets for each 26ft truck and we had none when we arrived. The place that signed out the trucks was aweful. I had to go to uhaul to get blankets on our move that same day. Trucks were awesome and Id use them again but the reservation process was garbage.

Great rates tons of drop off location, very helpful. I highly recommend.

Rick deserves a great deal of credit as the new manager. He is turning it around quickly. I was very impressed with his patience, response time and thoroughness. Penske as a company has been outstanding.

Reason for a 1 star is Penske Truck Rental, not this location, which was fine. I unfortunately had to use their roadside assistance for a lock out, started the truck, did a walk around while it was running, door locked behind me. I dont mind paying for my mistake, although $100 is a little steep in my opinion, then again, just my opinion. What bothered me is that Penske didnt bother telling me there was going to be a charge (would have called AAA) and didnt inform me they debited my credit card the additional $100. So beware if you rent and have to use their roadside assistance, and watch whichever credit card you use for payment for additional charges. Seems like a shady practice.

Spent 15 minutes and 3 phone calls to try to get a quote or reservation. All calls end up going to the cube guy that cant do anything.

This store needs help with their phone system. I called 3 times and twice someone picked up and the call ended and the third time I could him a person answer and then the call ended. I called the store directly and also the Penske hotline that was mentioned, but they only give you the store number to call yourself, so the issue does not resolve in that way either. Good luck fixing this issue, looks like its been going on for over a year.

Super friendly staff and the office area was clean and well organized.

I wanted to use your business but nobody answers the phone here. Called 5 times and someone keeps hanging up the phone. Wont be using this place ever.
