Was given a surprise $4k bill 2 months later for nothing more than going in with a stomach bug and getting a quick hydration IV. They make it incredibly difficult to access their website and find out any further info, only telling you that you will eventually receive a paper bill.Edit: I finally got access to the statement and it provided no further explanation. The charge is $3,800 for General Classification. It is frankly disgusting that they can charge someone that much money for minimal treatment and give no explanation.

Good Morning: I would like to vent my experience at Colorado ENT Parker Hospital : Way back on March 30 I made an appointment which was for May 24th at 845 a.m. So I got up dressed went to Parker and walked in. Found they are moving to building next door so I went there . Handed my paperwork to the lady and she said we have no appointments today and handed my paper back to me and stood there looking at me Like I was an alien. I said this appointment was made 2 months ago you folks could of called and changed it . She said nothing I turned and walked out. Little over an hour after i got home got a text for a appointment Monday at 845 .Well I happen to have a remote with my primary 9 so I punched in No and tried to say why and was canceled out. I called almost 930 Monday and the gal I felt was actually not caring at all and said earliest I could get in is August . excuse me for being inconvenient to you but you Messed up I didnt . You should of asked who I was at the desk friday and called me and got me in asap after my remote which i didnt think I should cancel because YOU messed up . So I shall most certainly find someone else and if its September at least it wont be with you . Richard Ziegler

Not only do they not help you and contradict each other, they alter your records before forwarding to a new provider, not documenting your medical complaints and claiming you’re mentally ill to insure you cannot seek help elsewhere.Kind of sloppy since they’ve been billing my insurance for expensive diagnostics.Unethical. Illegal and it ain’t over!In reference to owner’s response: please read my previous complaint, it has nothing to do with billing amounts for different visits, it has to do with inaccurate record keeping and unethical business practices.

She fired the doctor & rather than learn from her mistake the arrogant doctor (?) had her staff shuffle the books & list her dismissed & banned her from any doctors in our area. This place has an awful business and billing department. In March 2020, I was double-billed for a procedure in Frisco CO. Total of $77.14. I have spent HOURS since then trying to get a refund. No dice, even though Centura concedes that it owes me. First, you wait an hour to get someone on the phone. Next, the person who answers puts you on hold. Many more minutes go by. Then, to reach a supervisor--more minutes. Then, you get someone who pledges to work on it and call you back. She never calls back. You have to start all over. You can bet on this: Centuras system has been set up by some Harvard MBAs who know that, after a while, most customers will just give up if you put enough obstacles in the way. They keep your money and the bottom line is better.

After calling Centura Health and my insurance numerous times about a claim that did not go through as in-network, I submitted a complaint to the BBB because Centura Health wasnt understanding the issue from my end. It turns out that my insurance had both an in-network and out-of-network deductible. When I told Centura that the claim was processed as out-of-network, they thought it had processed properly because from their end, they saw that Blue Cross Blue Shield had discounted the rate and applied the visit to my deductible (the wrong one, but Centura couldnt tell that). I finally got Blue Cross Blue Shield and Centura to speak to each other instead of using me as a go-between, which resolved the issue. Blue Cross Blue Shield properly processed the claim, and Centura is no longer showing a balance due on my account. Colleen M. from Centura was extremely helpful with the BBB complaint and helping me understand what went wrong. The whole process took two months to straighten out. I really think that everything could have been resolved more quickly if Centura and Blue Cross Blue Shield had just communicated with each other from the start. I understand that my out-of-network deductible was an oddity because one Centura rep said that he had never heard of such a thing, and he asked if I was positive that I really had one. I know that Centura deals with a lot of billing issues, but they shouldnt just assume that the customer is wrong. I could have given up after the first four calls. Im sure there are customers that do give up and lose money in the process. I wish insurance wasnt so difficult for everyone—consumers and doctors/health facilities.

The front office at Colorado Springs leaves a lot to be desired. It started with a 20 min hold on the phone. I have tried on 2 occasions to make an appointment with Dr. Klein who has been my physician for over 30 years. I have not seen Dr. Klein since 2014 due to retiring and moving. I am now preparing to move back to Colo Springs. The front office told me Dr. Klein does not take new patients. I can understand this, but seriously, after 30 years I dont consider myself a New Patient. I requested to speak to his nurse which was denied. I requested the front office check with Dr. Klein to verify he would or would not renew our doctor/patient relationship. The exact words from the receptionist were: yes I can do that but he has left for the day so it will have to wait until tomorrow. I said that was fine and I left my phone number. That was a month ago. Its a shame I have been treated with such disrespect when all I want to do is receive treatment from one of the best doctors in the State of Colorado.

One star is being generous. Seemed totally unorganized. No body seemed to know what anyone else was doing. Charged for speciality care that was not necessary. I am a legal guardian and mother of the patient and they refused to acknowledge his presence at the hospital. A doctor didnt know why my son was on oxygen and told me not anyone else did either. The hospital made a lot of money out of this. Why would I want to speak to a patient advocate, which is that they offer. Who signs their paycheck. If we have complaints why cant we address these issues with the medical director?

Absolutely do not recommend to anyone. I went into Southmoor Urgent care on Hampden Ave in Denver, CO for severe side and back pain on Thursday June 18th a touch before 8 am. I thought perhaps it was a torn intercostal muscle from a small sneezing fit I had the day prior. Ive been wholly unable to get more than an hour’s rest at a time as I cannot lay down comfortably or take deep breaths. When I was brought back into Room 1 the nurse (Marty, older white female) was very rough with me, aggressively pushing my arm back down when she was taking my blood pressure RELAX she said, as if I was not in distress from my pain and the position she had me in, I told her anything other than sitting up right caused me pain, she insisted I lay back. I was giving my account of what happened the days prior and my medical history but I was continually cut off so she could address the next point. She quickly ran through illnesses/disorders I could have said yes or no to, like depression, anxiety etc, but I was not given more than 3 seconds to respond to the entire group of disorders she listed and no time to go back and address if I did struggle with one of the aforementioned illness. She showed no empathy and kept asking if I could be pregnant. I also said no when she twice asked if I did recreational drugs. Almost nothing was written down or typed during the 20 seconds I was given to explain my mental and physical health history. When discussing my pain, it was Well I know youre uncomfortable but whats your pain level? I said it was an 8 normally and 10 when I laid down. When the doctor came in to discuss the possibility of kidney stones he said Well normally I’d be worried if you had a family history of them -there was nowhere in my chart that stated that nor did they ask me- so I mean we could do a CAT scan but that might be overkill huh? As if furthering my treatment and finding the root cause of my pain was overkill. I was asked multiple times to show where I was hurting and to tell my story but no matter how often, or how clearly I explained to them, they continually mixed up my story and symptoms, and did not make it a point to get it straight. Additionally, my symptoms of nausea and headaches were not discussed or noted. The doctor (Lee Andrew Replogle, MD), pressed on my back and spine and despite this causing extreme pain for me, no response or explanation was given as to why or how any of my symptoms were arising. Chest X-rays were done but they were not explained to me or even shown to me. As such, I asked for a copy but was told You can just run some errands and come back, I had no errands to run because I was in too much pain to even make it to work, I had nothing planned but to lay in bed all day. But somehow to them it looked like I could just shrug it off and keep going about my day? I was shown some papers and instead of having them brought to my bed -I was essentially not moving due to pain unless they made me- I was made to get up and sign these papers, which included me bending over, which was very painful. The nurse stood very close to me while I read what was to be affixed to my signature, not giving me 6 feet or showing any patience while I was trying to comprehend a new document while being in severe pain. My diagnosis was Flank Pain and my plan for treatment was Tylenol. As I sit here in pain despite several rounds of OTC pain meds already, I really hope this is nothing more than a pulled muscle, and that these medical professionals didn’t neglect to find the real problem. This medical facility not only cause me pain, but also softened my cries for help and charged me for procedures I did not benefit from.

This organization doesn’t care about people at all, just money. I was given a 15k hospital bill for less than a 2 hour visit for a non-life threatening issue. They use an arbitrary point system for assigning level of emergency, and once you meet or exceed 8 points you’re considered a level 5, the same as heart attacks or lost limbs. An oxygen clip on your finger counts as 2 points as an example, so it’s clearly designed to reach that 8 point threshold quickly. They also told me my account was on pause while I was disputing the level 5 classification, and then when I started receiving letters from collections, they refused to make it right.Criminal organization! Avoid at all costs!

I started using Porter Primary Care in Denver in 2014. My first visit there, I had to wait for 45 minutes past my appointment time in a cold room with only one of those paper gowns on. No on came in to check on me. On June 4, 2019, I came in for a severe infection. Dr. Ramaraju is my physician. At the end of the examination she told me about some yoga that she is doing. I told her that my yoga certification of nearly 30 years does not allow me to mix methods. She continued to push and left the exam room and brought back some fliers. I felt this was really disrespectful as I am an expert in yoga and she is not. She wrote three prescriptions for me. Because of not giving the pharmacist correct instructions, it took multiple phone calls and trips to the pharmacy over a 24 hour period before I was able to get all the prescriptions filled. On June 8, I called the on-call physician, Dr. Keney as I was having an allergic reaction to one of the medications. During the course of the conversation he was patronizing and called me young lady several times. He had my chart so he knew that I am 70 years old, an elder. I consider that his behavior was disrespectful. I am probably going to change clinics as two out of three of my experiences with this clinic have been horrible.

I had my one year old son in my arms and all of our bags. The Lady said that the marks on my account said that I had to pay.. I ended up putting it on my credit card because we had a breached baby and it was an emergency to get her on to the Doctors. Little bit of back ground, We found out 3 months ago that my wife was pregnant. This means that our running bill was around $2000. I have had Centura health calling my phone every other week harassing me for money. I would let them know every time they called that before I made any payments, I wanted to wait until the baby was born that way, I could get a complete billing breakout and understand what I needed to pay overall. They had stated that, that was fine and I had 90 days so I should be ok and it would not be an issue since my wife was do within two weeks. I had a lady call me last week and she has a major attitude and so I was quite resistant with her. I told her that I did not want to pay and she stated that was fine and told me I had around 90 days before it went to collections. So here I was with my 1 year old son who my wife had also delivered at this hospital which I never had to set up payments or billing until the birth was over and also my wife and all of our stuff and they had the nerve to reject me with my wifes water broke and a breached baby.. They had stated that they had sent me a letter notifying me that I would not get any further service until I pay $1,656. I never received a letter. I must have really upset the last lady that called me to a point that she put a hold on my account blocking us from getting in. The Emergency desk clerk stated that someone put a mandatory $1,656 payment or refusal of all medical needs.

Centura Highlands is the worst doctors office ever. When I first started going there, they refused to schedule a physical and insisted I just get a check up so they wouldnt have to pay for the physical. Then there was a mistake on my insurance so the admin staff insisted I pay the bill out of pocket instead of contacting my insurance company because They never correct things. It took two phone calls and Aetna took care of it all. Then, due to a change in insurance plans, there was a delay in fulfilling my blood pressure medicine. When I called for an emergency script I was told it would take at least 5 days because The doctors are very busy and dont have time to review prescriptions. and I shouldnt have waited so long to order my refill which was late because this office didnt reply timely to Aetnas request. Fortunately, when I then called Aetna, they were able to expedite my order and get it to me in two days. Now I call to see my PCP because Im sick and they tell me the earliest they can see me is 2 weeks from now. The front desk staff has no compassion, Im sure because that is the organizational culture for Centura and their factory medical facilities. So, if they poor service doesnt literally kill you, they will defraud you at their earliest opportunity.

She was till bleeding from multiple scrapes and abrasions on her hands at this point 2+ hours into her visit there..the one male nurse that I asked about cleaning and bandaging her abrasions said they were not stitchable so there was nothing he would do. She was to go to her regular Dr for follow up...this was on a SATURDAY NITE! Whos regular Dr is available on sunday to clean out and possibly remove tissue from a wound? Isnt that what we were in the ER for? I couldnt believe it when he then (because I wouldnt let it go) abraded her badly scraped arm with an a rough gauze pad that we later found out was soaked in alcohol. I was amazed she didnt come off the table. She had several deep gouges in that arm, he roughly scraped it and then wrapped more alcohol soaked gauze around the wounds. I could not believe we were in an ER, with injuries, and basically being told to leave and let the regular Dr deal with it monday. One lady came by and said, if there is redness or signs of infection, be sure to get that checked out...no offer to clean it properly with betadine to prevent that infection, or a prophylactic shot of antibiotics to prevent that were even offered. Deplorable. Please dont take your loved ones there if you cant prevent it.
