Simply the best place. Chappy worked with me over the phone on a Saturday to get my Hustler running. He then made sure he scheduled a pickup and fix order and provided me a loaner- turnaround time was so quick I had my mower back and didnt need to use it but was great to have as a backup plan! Knowledgeable and friendly place that jumps in to tackle the problem quickly and very reasonably price wise!

Great first experience. On Wednesday, I called describing a gas leak on a large snow thrower. They said bring her in. I did the next day, Thursday. When I arrived, they helped me unload it, gave it a look and diagnosis of a carb needing work, gave me a quote, and said, well call in a few days. The following Monday before sunrise, - with a prediction of 8-12 of snow beginning that afternoon, I check their hours so I could call them and see if there is any chance my thrower will be ready. Ha! I got a call well before their posted opening hours letting me know my machine was ready to go if I wanted to pick it up before it started snowing. I arrived and they loaded my thrower for me. Other reviews suggest they offer expertise in engine repair and maintenance. They also offer excellent service and kindness.

This company could serve as the poster child for under-promise and over-deliver.I took my lawnmower in on a Tuesday and was told theyd get back to me within 3 or 4 days. Turns out they lied. They called me the NEXT day, Wednesday, saying it was fixed. They even washed it for me before I picked it up.I wont go anywhere else for my future mower needs.

Great customer service and an education to boot! I sit at a desk for work and dont know a lot about power tools. Luckily Chappy and his employees are willing to share their knowledge. I have been using this shop for years and have always gotten truthful answers and speedy repairs when needed. I have taken my trimmer, lawnmower, and most recently a chainsaw to him. Spring of 2019 had them fix a Generac generator for me that had old gas in it. During the estimate process they told me I would most likely need a new carburetor. When I picked it up, they said the carb was fine so I did not have that extra expense. They could have easily dinged me for a carburetor, but they didnt. I think this says a lot about the honesty of the place. Chappys is one of the few places in Cedar Rapids I trust and they are my go to place for small engine repair. Now if they will just start doing hot water heaters, appliance repair, HVAC, etc... haha

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this place! We had a brand new snowblower that got damaged in a garage fire and took it here to have it fixed. It ended up being a very lengthy and involved repair but Chappy’s was awesome about it! They kept us up to date with what was happening and even lent us their own snowblower to use while ours was indisposed. All around awesome service and they have definitely gained a customer for life! We would recommend Chappy’s Repair to any and all that need small engine repair.

I didn’t get the help I needed $85 a hr to fix a lawn mower wow I googled and fix my own lawn mower when It was only bad gas in it a man from Auto Zone help me out to get the stuff I needed after googling it

This is the place to go for quality work done the right way. Very easy to work with. He had my lawn tractor picked up and fixed the same day! It broke on the frame and he had to weld it back together. I cant image how long it would have set at the dealer before they could even look at it. Give Chappys a call before you head anywhere else for repairs.

They charge a shipping fee for parts, but dont tell you until you pay for them.

I had beat up my four-year-old lawnmower and was embarrassed to take it in for repair. I am thankful to have found Chappys. I received a much needed education on maintaining my mower. The cost for sharpening my blade, replacing my filter. getting the proper oil and general cleaning was so minimal, I felt guilty paying so little for priceless information and service. This man and his business are the real thing. Dont bother calling anyone else. Your equipment is in the best hands with Chappys.

I came in to get some grease for my Mantis tiller and see if they had a fuel tank cap for it. They squirted the grease in the tiller, took a gas cap off another tiller and gave it to me. No charge! I couldnt believe it! I know where Im taking my small engine repairs to in the future!!!
