I brought my older bicycle, (that has a lot of miles and associated abuse), in for a tune up. My bike received all the necessary new parts and adjustments needed to provide many more years of enjoyment. Curtis and others were very helpful, informative and friendly. I highly recommend the shop for your bicycling needs!

I stopped into Goldfinch Cyclery for the first time today. First off I was shocked that I was not bike shamed as I have felt when I have gone into other local bike stores. Instead I was greeted with encouraging words that makes me want to continue on my biking riding quests with their positive attitude towards getting out to ride. I like their attitude of it doesnt matter what kind of bike Im ridding just as long as Im having fun doing it. I will be back to Goldfinch Cyclery in the future as I love the bicycling vibes I picked up from just being in the store looking around.

These guys are AWESOME! Had a flat tire on a ride and didnt realize it until 6:02pm. Tried calling Goldfinch (who closes at 6pm). They not only answered but said COME ON BY and well get you back up and running! GREAT customer service, super sweet, caring gentlemen that helped this lady when her hubby accidently left the valve open on her tire and she created a hole in the tube by riding on it a short distance 🤦‍♀️ Will DEF be giving them my service from now on and will tell everyone I know to do the same! Between the genuine, friendly staff, convenient hours, great service and attention to precaution during COVID, Goldfinch has easily become my favorite bike shop in the Cedar Rapids area. You never feel like a bother whether youre coming in for for service or browsing for an accessory. To top it off, their location right in the heart of Newbo is also a great plus. Definitely recommend.

My bike rides better than new. Brought it in for a tune up this July; I was warned that they had a lot of bikes in right now and it may take 20 odd days for me to get it back. I was okay with that, but they got it back to me in under two weeks.Thaddeus and Lillian (hope I got your names right!) were remarkably pleasant and attentive to what I needed done on my bike. Now its shifting great and the brakes are super responsive. I will be bringing my Giant here from now on whenever I need a tune up!

I arrived for a repair an hour before the store was scheduled to open. As I was putting the bike back in my van, another person showed up with a bike as well. I mentioned that the store didnt open for another hour, and he said, Well actually I am an owner. How can I help? He proceeded to take my bike into the store, perform the repair in under 20 minutes, return the bike to me and process my payment. I was on my way within 25 minutes of arriving, with you at a half an hour before the store was meant to open. This is indicative of the kind of service they provide. Truly awesome!

Holy Moly is Goldfinch Good! Looking at bikes the salesperson was very attentive and even provided delicious grapefruit seltzer water which made our hot outdoor socially distanced shopping sesh extremely cool. They even threw in a water bottle on the house. I love this place now.

Goldfinch Cyclery has such a great staff! They are very helpful and friendly. My husband and I began riding and made us feel comfortable even when we werent the most experienced riders. Now we ride all the time and still get the same great service. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

The guys here are great. Ive bought most of my bike parts from them, and a new bike. They were the only shop in town that cared what I wanted in a bike, everyone else seemed to be more interested in moving a bike off their showroom floor. Andy took the time to help me customize my bike because what I wanted didnt exist direct from any manufacturer. Ill be going back to them as long as Im in the Cedar Rapids area.

Great service and pricing. I brought them a late 70s Raleigh to tune up and tires, but changed my mind a day later and bought a more modern wheelset. They had a great price and there was no reason not to go through them for the parts.

Were helpful, quick and to the point. Parts I got from them had clear instructions and was not overpriced. Higher end bikes however that cost more than a regular bike.

Just visited for the first time, and Goldfinch did not disappoint! I needed some help getting my bikes ready for the season, and the team at Goldfinch was helpful, friendly, and fast in getting my bikes into great shape.

I bought a Surly Cross-check from these guys this summer and it was a great experience. They were very patient as I asked questions about various bikes, test road a few and showed me comparable bikes that they did not have in the shop, but could easily special order. When I bought my Cross-check they were able to convert it from bar-end shifters to the brifters I wanted. Ive also taken my wifes Trek in for service, and they did an excellent job. I will not go to any other shop in town.

I bought a $15 Spalding Response at a garage sale several years ago. I brought it into the guys at Goldfinch Cyclery. They were great to work with, did an amazing job, and now I cant ride my bike enough. My bike rides, looks and feels like a million dollars. I would definitely recommend this shop!

I took in my trek mountain lion because the chain came off and got stuck in the back gear which got bent so i took it in told them what was wrong and they fixed it. i also took a schwin in there to have it looked over and fixed for a 50 mile scout ride came out beautiful and perfect i recommend you go there to have your bike fixed or to buy a new one

I took my Cinelli in for an adjustment. Wow these guys are awesome! Ive never been treated with such respect anywhere! I had conversations with these guys for the love of the sport, like I was a long lost friend. They even offered to show me how to adjust my rear deraileur next time I switch out my wheels.I will continue to do business with Goldfinch Cyclery. And will do my cycling purchases here as well. I stopped to check out the new bike shop in town and walked out a very satisfied customer. From the moment I walked in I felt like I was at home. Andy and Thad were very helpful and knowledgable. The whole experience was like hanging out with your buddies in the garage talking bikes. I never felt pressured and I felt like my needs as a customer were important to them. I picked myself up a new Surley Pugsley along with some add-ons. They not only held the bike back for me but they said they would open up New Years Day so I could come back and test ride it before buying. Do yourself a favor and get to know these guys if you dont already. Support a local business that has the feel of a true neighborhood shop. We need more businesses like this in CR. Great job guys! Was told one price and then told a higher price was really looking forward to giving them my business since I bike through there with all my friends all the time but they didnt want to hardly talk and there was no one else in the shop wish I could recommend them to my biking friends and the hundreds of people I work with but not so much!

Ordered a bike that they didn’t keep in stock. When the bike came in and was ready for pickup they called me. By the time I got down there (the same day) they sold it and told me I’d have to wait for a reordered one. I haven’t been in that shop since.
