Horrible cancellation policy, a company of this size should not have customers needing to mail a letter to cancel their membership. It is 2021 and they still have those practices in place?? We have moved out of the state with no LA Fitness remotely close to us, and the Operational Manager (Joey) did not provide adequate customer service/accommodations to just cancel the membership, we called back in July and talked to someone there and they said an email would be enough to cancel, but we just got charged again...Not to mention the front desk staff is completely useless, not once did they say hello as they are too busy on their cell phones, you can literally just walk in (not as a member) and they wouldnt even know.

A few days ago, I went to your gym, I was in sauna. The guy came to the sauna with a big dog. The reception of the gym said that it was a service dog. As far as I know there is no place for a dog in sauna even if it is a service dog. At first, it doesnt make any sense. Secondly, how about people who have allergies? They should leave because of the service dog? You are saying here No pets in the internet; but in fact, you close your eyes when it actually happens in your gym. I love the gym that you have over there. But, please, pay attention to it because I want to continue to come there and not let it to be nonsense. Thank you, and I hope you understand.

Reception is always in their phones, and they do not welcome guests. Today, I went to the gym with my family, the reception guy was turned back and was in his phone. I checked with my mother, and we were waiting for my brother right next to the pool (reception guy did not say anything even a simple Hi. After around 5 minutes my brother came, and we started to go to the locker room. The reception guy said, yo, yo, you did not checked! You have to check again. I checked again and asked him why he was asking me about checking after 5 minutes we entered the gym. He started to be so defended. The point is that is disrespectful not to welcome people and after awhile ask them about checking. I do not mind to check again, just do it properly when I enter the gym; ask me politely to do it again without yo yo. Gym is a serving place as well. I do not see nothing wrong to talk politely with guests and welcome them to the gym.

Worst customer experience ever. You can join the gym but never cancel the subscription. They intentionally make it extremely difficult to cancel a subscription. The only person who is allowed to cancel (Joey) is never available or is on a lunch break when you visit. There is no online option to cancel.

Great gym! Friendly staff, always clean. Lots of room. They have free weights, lots of racks and benches. They also offer tons of classes.

3 stars only because a gym should open at the same time every day. There is no reason the gym shouldnt be open at 5am on Saturday and Sundays. When the gym is open at 5am every day, I will change to 5 stars because I love this place.

Need to open earlier on the weekends. 8 am is too late. Should be open at least by 6 or 7 am on Saturdays and Sundays.

I actually used this gym for 3 wks and loved it. Then Covid happened, and then a baby. I still didnt feel comfortable going to the gym with a baby so put my membership on hold. I have paid over $300 and used the gym for maybe 3 weeks. While my membership was on hold for over a year, they decidedly to charge me a maintenance fee of over $50. Why? I wasnt using the gym. When I called to talk to someone, he was rude and pretty much told me tough luck. Horrible customer service. You have lost a member for life and I will let everyone else know how I was treated.

My old gym closed due to COVID so I had to make a switch. Shopped around a few gyms and my heart was set on LA fitness. Don was very friendly and professional, he signed me up without being pushy. Everybody at this gym seems friendly and the facility is clean.

First and foremost, no place is perfect. We are all human and have our days. That being said, I have been to many gyms and rehabilitation facilities, but I have to say that this location is by far the best. (Retired and disabled college athlete). Not only is the equipment high quality, the gym also provides a wide variety of low to high impact workout classes for people of all ages and physical capabilities. Additionally, the gym is exceptionally clean which is needed during these unprecedented times. Although, and perhaps most importantly, this gym is one big family. When you walk in, you aren’t just another member, you are valued. 5/5 would recommend.

Brand new facility and everything seemed really clean. Trent did a great job on explaining everything and giving me a tour of the facility. I was just looking for a new place to do some lap swimming, and this might be it!

I’ve been to golds and 24 hr fitness...golds is old and crusty and 24hr closed the best gym in Austin...I have been pleasantly surprised with LA Fitness ... good equipment, and a decent amount of squat racks....good diversity of equipment too...the place is very clean and never crowded. It’s also probably the only gym pool I’d ever swim in... so far so good, been there a couple of months now.

I joined this LA fitness when 24 hour fitness went out of business. A couple of months later my wife and I decided to move closer to family but not close to LA Fitness. I originally called to cancel however their rules state you have to go into the gym you signed up and cancel in person (even during Covid). So I put on my mask and went into gym. I cancelled my membership October 1st and let them know we were leaving the area. Fast forward to January and LA fitness is still charging my CC. I’ve called and spoke to Joey the manager and he has decided not to refund the money since I couldn’t recall associate that helped me cancel membership. I’ve not stepped foot in a LA fitness since October 1st but paid roughly 160.00 in dues. These folks are crooks and don’t care about their members. Do yourself a favor, there are tons of options in cedar park, don’t join these criminals.

LA Fitness is my happy place!

Beautiful gym, but they make it impossible for you to cancel your membership. They also try to lock you into a personal training contract with the promise that you can cancel it if you need to but when you actually try to cancel it they intentionally evade you. The personal trainer who has recently quit told me that they intentionally don’t answer the call and make it hard for people to cancel so they can keep you locked into the contract. Tried to cancel my membership again today we’ve been doing multiple phone tags, eventually called and demanded it be cancelled and they told me to come in. I come in person and the manager sitting there taking calls and they say he can’t speak with me because he’s taking calls from other people and that they will leave my name for him to call me back. Very poor experience over the last year at this gym, dishonest to say the least. Membership still not cancelled.....

Don was extremely helpful in his services. Can’t wait to go back. All around great gym.

This company has a serious integrity issue. They demand you show up in person to cancel a month to month membership. Then they have people from all over the country calling you to try and collect.

Walking my dog a couple weeks ago and a gentleman named nick came over and greeted me with a warm smile. I currently work out at another gym at the time but wasnt seeing any result and paying 5x more a month then I am now at LA fitness. Nick was the only person I have spoken with that actually spoke about nutrition and cared about my mental state in order to get the best results possible. I am only a week into a new gym routine but because of nick I feel I am a part of a community that cares about my overall wellness and am now super excited to start thus new journey of mine. Highly recommend talking with Nick at LA fitness if you want to see result and feel that you matter!

This is a very nice LA Fitness. It is well organized and the equipment is all brand new and well cared for. They have put in place Covid protocols as well.

The layout is perfect to get a quick workout in and go. Has a lot of advanced equipment as well.

Im enjoying this gym so far. Its never crowded and has a good selection of equipment, classes, and aquatics. No towels make you bite yourself when you forget to bring one. The location is a breeze which is so helpful.

Rip off. Be careful about joining. They quoted me a $200 (estimate) price for enrolling with the ability to cancel at any time. The monthly charge was $29. This morning while checking my bank account I find they took an extra $53 after debiting the monthly $29I called to find out the have a ‘yearly enrollment’ charge. I only joined 4 months ago. 1) it hasn’t been a year. 2). I wasn’t told about this yearly enrollment charge when I signed up and I specifically asked if there was any hidden charges that weren’t being disclosed. Companies like this make me sick. Total rip off. To think I was trying to promote and get my friends to join. Thank God I hadn’t converted any of them yet.

I decided to check out this new location after driving by and was shocked by how beautiful it is. From the equipment, locker rooms, to the lap pool, it was all way above the quality of the gym I am at now. I signed up my family and canceled my Golds membership. Definitely more comparable to a Lifetime fitness in quality.

Disappointed with customer service. I have left my number to get called by three times and the manager has never called back. Review has nothing to do with the gym so do not be discouraged to get a membership.

Decent selection of equipment and a fun functional area. No sports nutrition drinks readily available. Worst part are the hours. Want to get a workout in before the family wakes up? Forget about it, go to Golds or Anytime Fitness.

The Ceder Park La Fitness is the dirtiest of all LA Fitness around Austin. The shower, Lookers, the bathroom, Sona, etc. The Cedar Park health department should look into this issue. The guys doing the cleaning are doing their best. The problem is that they cant keep up. The cleaning crew is understaffed. This is management issue. Unfortunately, the management team dont seem to care.

The good. The equipment is great and the location is good. The sales staff is nice and polite, the pool is nice and the overall facilities are good.The bad, its the dirtiest gym ive ever been to. The sauna area is disgusting as they allow people to wear shoes where you sit. They also allow people to use the bench presses to work out their legs so where you put your head also tends to be where someone just had their shoes.

New, clean, and well maintained gym. Trent is a very professional sales manager and takes care of his clients. Highly recommend.

Agressive sales tactics. Took advantage of my son with autism and signed him up for $300 month personal trainer. We are now getting the run around about cancelling. Go somewhere else that has better business practices.

Very clean and very well equipped gym but you have to deal with High Pressure sales staff who lied to me and told me prices were going up in 2 days if I didnt join now. Completely false after I called corporate HQ in California and reported this deceptive practice. I am joining but going through AAA- thru AAA you only pay $25 initiation fee plus only $25/month. Go join AAA and then get this terrific discount program through AAA for Active and Fit that lets you work out at 10,000 gyms across US, including L.A Fitness, Golds Gym,Planet Fitness, and YMCA!

My family and I came here to check the gym out. We currently go to a gym but that one is a little further than LA Fitness. We walked in the lady at the counter was AWSOME , we saw to people behind the counter they were just sitting doing nothing. My husband had asked if we can go walk around and take a look at the we were told that we needed someone to walk with us. So she asked the 2 guys that were just sitting down on there phones doing nothing. They looked at my husband and said no cause the were busy. My husband got mad and just walked out. We were a little disappointed

Typical scammy gym...They opened later than promised and made no effort to advise once they finally did open, but they do collect fees on-time. They have no problem confirming my identity over the phone to make payment changes, but when I decided to cancel they said I have to come into the location for security reasons and to verify my identity? But didnt they just do that?Spoke to a manager (Joey) who was clueless. Well thats our policy.... The arrogance and lack any Customer Service...well thats why Im leaving. Youre a gym, not a bank. Oh yeah, my bank conducts business over the phone. Huh.In this day and age, EVERY business can conduct business over the phone/internet. This is a used car sales tactic to make cancellation difficult and to corner you into being pressured not to quit.I was promised by the manager and the person I initially spoke with that they would send their policy by email...verified my email repeatedly...surprise, no email.

Daniel called the other day to let me the gym was now open and I could stop by to tour at any time. I got another call today from Daniel again so I politely explained that I had spoke to him the other day and that I wasnt interested in joining this time. His response, you should have let me know then! Really? Rude marketing techniques from your membership staff!

Dirty gym, filthy floors, dirt all over equipment and foot pads. Do not trust taking a shower or using the pool because of how dirty it is.I have complained several times and each time I see the same dirt and stains on the floor.
